  1. 0:00In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger,
  2. 0:07Muhammad, the trustworthy, and upon his family and companions. We are meeting to discuss the path
  3. 0:16of certainty. We have six steps to this path: First, knowing God;
  4. 0:28second, dealing with God in accordance with His divinity; third,
  5. 0:36sensing His presence, existence, and closeness; and then, the state of complete dependence. Then, we mentioned
  6. 0:48the presence of the heart. Keep your heart present; God doesn't need
  7. 0:56your tongue. Yes, it's the presence of the heart. I want to comment on this with something
  8. 1:02simple: beware of becoming enslaved by the number of repetitions in remembrance and supplication. Your focus shouldn't be
  9. 1:09on having your heart present while speaking to God. After that comes joy, tranquility, contentment,
  10. 1:19and happiness. Six, six.
  11. 1:24The details are important because many on
  12. 1:29this path don't know much of what we say. We work on knowing God before even asking, and before anything
  13. 1:37else. Strengthen your certainty in your Lord, everyone. There are people who don't know their Lord. Many of us don't know our Lord; we are afraid, anxious
  14. 1:45, and terrified. Why, when you want to know God...
  15. 1:53100% You no longer think about reasons. Deal with God as if
  16. 1:59He will come to you and say, "Yes, God is the only one who will come to you." But, my brother, where are the reasons? My brother, you are being attacked
  17. 2:06by the reasons. The Lord of the Worlds needs reasons. How can there be reassurance when a high-ranking official says, "
  18. 2:13I heard that you have a problem. If you need me to intervene and solve the issue for you, I am ready. Just give me a
  19. 2:19phone call." By God, how reassured would you be? By God, you will find yourself in a joy that you do not seek, or
  20. 2:27a joy like when we say the path of certainty. The path is the way. Say, "This is my way," meaning my path
  21. 2:37and my way. Say, "This is my way. I call to God with insight, I and those who
  22. 2:46follow me." Notice the path. Guide us to the straight path. The path of God's path is clear. The path to
  23. 2:56God is clear. Clear, the path of certainty. What is certainty? Certainty is
  24. 3:04believing in God's promises as if they are already happening. This is
  25. 3:13the path of certainty: faith, the firm and complete belief that what God has promised
  26. 3:22is inevitable, and that His decree and His favor cannot be reversed. Now, let's try to explain. I want to simplify
  27. 3:32this information for you. Look, my brothers and sisters, please try to summarize and write down how we know
  28. 3:38if we are on the right path through these six steps. See if you are following them correctly. How
  29. 3:45do we discover the flaw and how do we correct the mistake? As I told you, discovering the flaw involves six steps. Oh, I am lacking
  30. 3:53in knowledge. Yes, I knew that God is the Provider, the Forgiving, the Merciful
  31. 3:58, but I didn't understand what that meant. If I had understood, I wouldn't have done this with my heart. I ask you, when Moses said, "
  32. 4:07My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You send down to me," it wasn't his heart that spoke, nor
  33. 4:14his tongue. It was the heart that acted, the heart that spoke, the heart that spoke. When his heart spoke,
  34. 4:23the response came. Clearly, the path of certainty has six steps. The first step on the path
  35. 4:31of certainty is knowing who God is.
  36. 4:36Why do I need to know? Who is God? A very important fundamental principle is that
  37. 4:46certainty is born from knowing God. To the extent that you know God, the Most High,
  38. 4:55the certainty that God, the
  39. 5:02Most High, does not break His promise, that He is the Great, that He is the Healer, that He is the Most Gracious, that He is the Provider, and that He is the Most
  40. 5:12Merciful is born within you. To the extent that you know the Lord of the Worlds, certainty is born within you. Certainty manifests within you. That is why you find
  41. 5:22people who we see have a high standing with God,
  42. 5:28to the point that they raise their hands and say, "O Lord." And I know people, by God, one woman walked the path of certainty
  43. 5:37for three days. I don't want to mention her story, and I won't mention it. For three days, God solved a problem that had been bothering her for
  44. 5:47nine years. Why nine years? Because, my brothers, the matter is one of knowledge. She knew her Lord. Now I
  45. 5:58will explain to you, bear with me. She knew her Lord. Now I want to explain to you what
  46. 6:05knowledge means. Then I want to tell you that knowledge is divided into two parts: How do I know God? I haven't seen the Lord
  47. 6:17of the Worlds. I haven't seen God, and I don't know where my Lord is. How do I know Him? Knowing God stems from
  48. 6:27three things through which we can know who God is. First, we get to know
  49. 6:35God through what He has described Himself with and what He has named Himself with. Sources of knowing God: I know Him from His names
  50. 6:45and attributes. For example, if I tell you that someone will come to you at such and such time, give him 1000 dollars, what
  51. 6:56do I tell you? I tell you what this person's characteristics are. He says he is tall, fair-skinned, and wears such and such. As soon as
  52. 7:06you see this description, you know. So I know this person through his characteristics. These are outward characteristics: tall,
  53. 7:15and so on. But if I tell you, look, so-and-so is coming to you. If there is an opportunity, let him become your partner in a business.
  54. 7:25I tell you, but I swear to God, I don't know so-and-so. He says, "I know so-and-so. Believe me, he is trustworthy, generous, intelligent, educated, and
  55. 7:35cultured." So notice, I know our Lord, may He be glorified and exalted, only through His names and attributes, because every
  56. 7:45name indicates a meaning. So when I say God is generous, then He is generous. What does generosity mean? Generosity is
  57. 7:56giving, spending, and bestowing without measure. The Hearer of supplications means my supplication will not go unanswered.
  58. 8:06He said, "By God, I prayed and prayed, O Sheikh, and I did not see God, the Hearer of supplications." In prayer, what do you say?
  59. 8:13God hears those who praise Him. God hears praise and gives according to praise. So it is very necessary
  60. 8:24if you want to know the Lord of the Worlds, you must encompass all His names, Glory be to Him, know them, understand
  61. 8:33their meanings: Generous, Merciful, Compassionate, Loving, Loving, Loving. This is a source of knowing the Lord of the Worlds. Another source
  62. 8:43of knowing the Lord of the Worlds is God's actions, what He does in the universe.
  63. 8:50So go to a secluded place at night, look at the stars, and say, "Glory be to Him Who established these
  64. 8:58stars and suspended them in the sky." Look at the mountains, and say, "Glory be to Him Who
  65. 9:06He established it. Do they not look at the camels, how they were created? O people, look at
  66. 9:13the camels, how they were created, and at the
  67. 9:17sky, how it was raised. Who raised the sky? How? And at the mountains,
  68. 9:24how they were set up? God set up the mountains. And at the earth, how it was spread out? God, who spread it out? When you
  69. 9:36see the work of the Lord of the Worlds, what do you say? Oh, I mean, the One who created
  70. 9:44the heavens and created the earth, is He incapable of giving me what
  71. 9:52I ask for? I mean, by God, what is the request of a woman who wants a husband, for example? What
  72. 9:58is the request in relation to the creation of the heavens and the earth? What is the request in relation to the creation of the earth? What is my request? What is my request in relation to the planets
  73. 10:06, the seas, and the mountains? What is my request? I have no value in this
  74. 10:12request, nothing. I mean, if you looked at the shore of one of the great seas, then you thought and pondered
  75. 10:21the greatness of these shores, what would the request of man be? His request will be very, very little, very weak.
  76. 10:31This request is so small. Therefore, knowing God Almighty
  77. 10:38comes through knowing His names and attributes, and through looking at the actions of the Lord of the Worlds.
  78. 10:46Then there is another type of knowing the actions of the Lord of the Worlds, which is God's actions in the lives of His servants. For example,
  79. 10:56look at how God saved Noah, how He saved Moses. Look, you might say, "These are past events, I don't know
  80. 11:06about them." But look at your life, your life. What did the Lord of the Worlds say? "And in yourselves. Then will you
  81. 11:17not see?" He said, "Then let man look at the food of his neighbors." He said, "Then let man look at his own food, his own food." "
  82. 11:26We poured down water in abundance, then We split the earth open." My friend, look at how many crises and hardships
  83. 11:37God has saved you from in your life. Sit with yourself and look at the clear and great actions
  84. 11:45of God Almighty with you. You determine it in every detail
  85. 11:51of your life, in every detail of your life. Look at how many times God saved you from an accident, how many times you prayed to God and He answered you,
  86. 12:00how many times God Almighty granted you success, how many times God Almighty gave you... One
  87. 12:08time, God Almighty concealed a fault. How much do we disobey God? How much do we disobey God during
  88. 12:16our days and at night? So much, my brothers, imagine with me if anyone, anyone at all,
  89. 12:24knew God through all His names and attributes, and knew God
  90. 12:31through the signs of the universe, the heavens and the earth. I only ask one thing of you: just type "
  91. 12:39Wonders of the Creation of the Stars" into YouTube
  92. 12:43and listen to a clip about the wonders of the creation of the stars, about the wonders of the creation of the seas
  93. 12:53, and the laws that our Lord has established for this great and wondrous universe. Just look at this, and also look
  94. 13:02at what your Lord, Glory be to Him, was doing for you. You might say that the Lord of the Worlds did this for others, but
  95. 13:10look at what God is doing for you. Now, if you broadened the circle and looked at what God,
  96. 13:16Glory be to Him, did with your mother, with your father, with your brother, with others, with so on, what if you broadened the circle
  97. 13:24and you started now looking at the stories of the prophets in the Holy Quran, which falsehood cannot approach from
  98. 13:32before it or from behind it? Clearly, imagine that you have reached the stage of completion and saturation in knowledge.
  99. 13:42By God, by that, and praise be to God, you have reached what? To
  100. 13:53the truth of certainty, by which demands are brought about, and praise be to God. Okay, this is the first point. The first thing
  101. 14:03on the path of certainty, we said six. The first thing is to know
  102. 14:10God. This is number one. We have known the Lord of the Worlds now. So what is required now? What is required is that from this
  103. 14:18moment, from this moment, we start working mentally and intellectually to know who God is
  104. 14:30through what I have mentioned to you and through what I have shown you. But there is
  105. 14:37a very important matter, which is that knowledge, my brothers, is of two types: knowledge of God, theoretical
  106. 14:49knowledge, and practical knowledge. If you ask anyone, even if he is not committed, and you say to him, "God is capable," what will
  107. 14:57he say to you? Yes, God is capable. If you say to him, "God is generous," he will say to you, "Yes, God is generous." If you say to him, "God is merciful," he
  108. 15:05will say to you, "Yes, God is merciful." If you say to him, for example, "God is loving," he will say to you, "Loving." If you say to him, for example, "God is the Creator
  109. 15:11," he will say to you, "Creator." If you say to him, "Provider," he will say to you, "Provider," even if he is the most wicked of people, right or not?
  110. 15:17Yes, we are certain of this knowledge, but I and the Quran, of course, the Holy Quran wants
  111. 15:27from this knowledge, He said: “And if you ask them, ‘Who created the heavens and the earth?’ they will surely say, ‘Allah.’” Even the polytheists
  112. 15:33say, “Allah.” I want from this knowledge, I want practical knowledge. What is the meaning of practical knowledge
  113. 15:44? Practical knowledge is the work of the heart. What is the work of the heart? When I know that God is the Provider, I
  114. 15:53say, "Oh Lord, the Provider!" When I know that the Lord of the Worlds answers prayers, I say, "Oh, how wonderful!
  115. 16:02He answers prayers!" This is a movement of action in the heart. The heart is with Him. The heart now feels humble, joyful, happy, and content. Why?
  116. 16:14Because I worship a Generous Lord. I worship
  117. 16:21a Lord who answers prayers. I worship a Lord who hears prayers. I worship a Lord, praise be to God. I worship a Lord who is kind to me. I worship a Lord
  118. 16:32who created me and will not forsake me. I worship a Lord who does not err or forget. I worship a Lord who is not overtaken by slumber or sleep.
  119. 16:41Look at what God Almighty said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. He said, "And rely upon the Ever-Living
  120. 16:49who does not
  121. 16:52die." It is clear that He does not die. He is the Ever-Living who does not
  122. 16:59die. He said to him, "O Muhammad, be at ease, be at ease
  123. 17:05. You want to rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die." Why? Because if you rely upon someone who might die at any moment
  124. 17:13and you lose everything, right? Imagine with me that I want to rely on someone who sleeps, and then I lose everything just because he sleeps.
  125. 17:22Don't you sometimes hear people say, "The guard slept, the guard slept," and then, "Human weakness, he slept, and the enemy entered from
  126. 17:29where? He entered in a moment of sleep!" The guard doesn't get
  127. 17:34a slumber or a wink of sleep. What do we call this? We call it
  128. 17:42knowledge, a process that needs to refine my heart. I mean, I need to program my heart with the idea of tranquility alongside...
  129. 17:52God, because my Lord is Generous, what do you think of God? He didn't call Himself stingy, He called Himself Merciful, He called
  130. 18:00Himself Loving. This is how certainty and tranquility are born. I asked the Lord of the Worlds, and that's it.
  131. 18:08I submitted my request to the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. What more could I want? Imagine with me that you
  132. 18:15reached this
  133. 18:20practical knowledge. Oh, by God, by God, you wouldn't fear anything, you wouldn't be afraid of anything, you
  134. 18:28wouldn't love anything. Clear, that's the first step, we've finished it.
  135. 18:33The second step, after I've come to know the Lord of the Worlds, is to work, to work, to work on
  136. 18:40knowing God before even asking, before anything else. Strengthen your certainty in your Lord, people. There are people who don't
  137. 18:46know their Lord. Many of us don't know our Lord. We're afraid, anxious, and terrified. Why is this God
  138. 18:56? The second step is to treat God with
  139. 19:04the divinity He deserves. I don't treat God as if He were a human being. When I ask, it's wrong for me
  140. 19:15not to be certain that He will give me. I treat the Lord who called Himself Generous. He won't say, "Oh Lord,
  141. 19:23oh Lord, just $100, is it reasonable for Him to give me that?" Why are you thinking, for example, that? Your neighbor who once
  142. 19:31stingy with you and refused to give you $100—you consider things too much for people, but don't consider them too much for God.
  143. 19:37He said, "If one of you makes a wish, let him ask for more." When you ask, raise your request. Just say, "Oh God,
  144. 19:48I want this thing, but why, oh human being, why, oh child of
  145. 19:55God?" When God tells you, "I never break my promise," why do you imagine He could break His promise? When
  146. 20:03God tells you, "I am generous,"
  147. 20:09why do you imagine He could be stingy? When God tells you, "I hear prayers," why do you imagine He didn't hear? When God tells you, "Ask Me for whatever you want,"
  148. 20:16why do you think it's your stingy neighbor? Someone might say, "No, by God, I seek refuge in God. I am not like that.
  149. 20:22By God, we have all been like that, unfortunately. Sometimes, is it possible, oh God, oh God, I am afraid,
  150. 20:29oh God, afraid of what? Afraid of what?" I'm afraid He didn't hear you, afraid He won't give you, afraid that
  151. 20:35He, for example, won't be kind to you. Well, didn't He say about Himself? I didn't say it about Him; He said it about Himself. He said, "
  152. 20:44I remind My servants that I am the Forgiving, the Merciful." He said, "Call upon Me." He said, "My Lord is the Hearer of supplication."
  153. 20:53My Lord is the Responsive, the Near. He said, "I am near." Why do you imagine that God is far away? My Lord, my Lord!
  154. 21:01Look, the Prophet taught the Companions how to be respectful to God Almighty when he saw them raising their voices.
  155. 21:07He said, "Be gentle, be gentle with yourselves. You are not calling upon One who is deaf or absent." Are you deaf or
  156. 21:14absent? The One you are calling upon is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing, and He is nearer to one of you than the neck of his mount. God
  157. 21:24is nearer. We treat God as if He is God. Ask without fear.
  158. 21:31Ask without fear that He might not give you. God will give you. This is our problem: we measure the Creator against
  159. 21:38the created. We measure the Creator against the created. Someone comes and says to you, "My sin, my brother, my brother,
  160. 21:48what is the value of your sin compared to the greatness of His forgiveness?" Glory be to Him, my brother! What is the value of your sin? God
  161. 21:57answers the distressed, even if they are disbelievers. No matter how much you have wronged Him, you are not in distress. God deals with you according to the moment
  162. 22:06when you were weak before your Lord. Just leave the whispers behind you. Leave them. No matter how much a person
  163. 22:17wrongs himself, the wrong done to himself is a great wrong, a greater wrong than associating partners with God. And the one who associates
  164. 22:24partners with God, if he says, "I bear witness that there is no god
  165. 22:32but God, and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger," he will enter Paradise. My brothers, you are afraid of your sin. Well, now, if
  166. 22:39your need was with your father and mother, would they forgive your transgression or not?
  167. 22:46By God, they would forgive it. By God, God is more merciful than your mother and father, and He is the Most Merciful
  168. 22:53of the merciful. Deal with God, deal with God as the possessor of absolute power , absolute ability, absolute greatness
  169. 22:58, and absolute forgiveness. Nothing is beyond His power. He hears you, people. If God gives to us without us asking,
  170. 23:08He is not giving to us while we are disobeying. Is it reasonable that He would deprive me when I am approaching Him? Are you with
  171. 23:15us or not? Well, He is not giving to atheists and disbelievers. He provides for them, gives to them
  172. 23:21, and they enjoy good health and well-being, God willing. So, you should ask, "What is your sin? What is your sin?"
  173. 23:29Don't abandon your Lord's door, people. Don't let Satan tell you, "Yes, no,
  174. 23:34no." It's true, God gives, but I swear, because of my sins, I'm afraid. Don't say the word "afraid" before
  175. 23:42the Lord of the Worlds. "I do not fear with the Messengers." Treat God as if He is
  176. 23:46God. He won't come and tell you, "Yes, God does, but where are the means?" My brother, you and the means are being attacked.
  177. 23:55Does the Lord of the Worlds need means? Why
  178. 24:03does God give to us through means? I ask you, God gives to us through means now. What are we doing in terms of
  179. 24:08means? We're not doing anything. Why aren't we doing anything? We are with God. He said, "By God, Sheikh, I swear, but by God
  180. 24:14Almighty, Sheikh, all the means are closed and reversed, and they will remain reversed." What we told you is,
  181. 24:23when you want to know God
  182. 24:29100%, you no longer think about means. You no longer think about means when you know that He is the One
  183. 24:37in whose hand is the dominion of all things. Everything is forgotten. You no longer think about the reasons when you hear,
  184. 24:44"Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent."
  185. 24:54And indeed, brothers of certainty, when will it come? When the reasons are against us, there are no reasons, O Lord.
  186. 25:01The earthly reasons have been cut off, and only Your door remains, O Lord. Certainty came, but when the doors were open
  187. 25:09before us, we roamed and played and sang and played music and did forbidden things and so on, forgetting the Lord of the Worlds. When
  188. 25:17the doctor came, he said no, and when the axe fell on the head, and so on... Oh,
  189. 25:22now I know that God, O Lord, is here. Who is the Prophet? Who is he?
  190. 25:30The righteous one who had reasons when God granted him victory and relieved him, who is he? No
  191. 25:37one, no one, no one.
  192. 25:42This is clear. The second point. The second point is to treat God
  193. 25:49as God. The third point is to feel, while you are asking now, "Here, as I
  194. 25:57am asking, feel God's presence, God's existence, God's closeness."
  195. 26:04Who is He? Who is it that I want to feel His presence, His closeness, His presence? Who is He? What I learned in the
  196. 26:12first step, this is what I learned, the practical, heartfelt knowledge in the first step. I learned the Generous One.
  197. 26:20If the Generous One is with me, imagine His generosity. I learned the Merciful One. The Merciful One is with me. I learned the Loving One. The Loving One is with me.
  198. 26:29Now, now, I know the Lord of the Worlds through His names,
  199. 26:36attributes, and actions in His universe and His creation. When I imagine, I sense His presence. I sense His presence
  200. 26:44through His names and attributes. All of them are before me. God
  201. 26:50said, "Remember God, and you will find Him before you. I am the companion of whoever remembers Me." He said, "And I am
  202. 26:59with him when he remembers Me," in the authentic hadith. "And I am with him when
  203. 27:09he remembers Me." So I sense His generosity, His presence, His mercy, His compassion, His nearness. God,
  204. 27:19God. Okay, someone might say, "Why? Why do I call upon Him? You do not call upon the deaf
  205. 27:30or the absent. The One you call upon is closer to one of you than the neck
  206. 27:36of his mount." He said, "Excellence is to worship God as if you see Him, for if you do not
  207. 27:44see Him, He sees you.
  208. 27:48" Wow! This is point number three. It's good, right? Point number three is good. Now we come to point number
  209. 28:00four. When you are approaching the Lord of the Worlds, remove everything other than God. Throw it out,
  210. 28:08throw it out the window
  211. 28:11and be fine, just be just, just be just, let your heart be with God alone, there is nothing in
  212. 28:21your heart or in your soul but God. Point number four means
  213. 28:29need, there is no one but God, for example, O Lord, while I am sitting thinking about tomorrow the minister,
  214. 28:39thinking about tomorrow the deputy so-and-so, thinking about tomorrow the dignitary, thinking about tomorrow,
  215. 28:46need, God does not look at my heart, there is nothing but God,
  216. 28:51all the doors are closed except the door of God, this, my brothers, is the door of sincerity
  217. 28:58and need, I take out all the reasons that are inside my heart, I throw them out because these reasons, what do they do to me?
  218. 29:08They crowd out my sincerity with God, they crowd out my sincerity with
  219. 29:15God. So why do I take out all the reasons in my heart? He said, "Because I know the Lord
  220. 29:23of the Worlds." He said, "I know the Lord of the Worlds. When I know the Lord of the Worlds, I don't need means." And then,
  221. 29:30my brothers, it's shameful, shameful that I am with the King of Kings and I go looking for something
  222. 29:35other than God. Because I am with the Best of Providers. He said about Himself, "By God, the Best of Providers," and I go
  223. 29:44thinking, "Oh, tomorrow I'm going to borrow money, and I need this, and I need that, and I need this." And speaking of means,
  224. 29:50someone will come and tell you, "Well, Sheikh, we have to take the means." The means will come, but when certainty comes,
  225. 29:55God will guide you. Don't chart the course. The Lord of the Worlds—this is
  226. 30:00part of neediness. Don't chart the course for the Lord of the Worlds.
  227. 30:07When God wants to give you a medical degree, He will facilitate university for you, and He will
  228. 30:14facilitate money for you. All of these are means that God facilitates. God gives with means, against means, and
  229. 30:21without means. He, Glory be to Him, has absolute power. My
  230. 30:26brothers, don't let anyone other than God be in your heart when you are asking the Lord of the Worlds.
  231. 30:33Okay, don't let anyone else be in your heart. If God wills something, then there is no means for Him.
  232. 30:41Point
  233. 30:43number five, which is the presence of the heart, the presence of the heart. Point number five, what does
  234. 30:56presence of the heart mean? Notice I didn't say presence of the tongue, I said presence of the heart, and I am careful in
  235. 31:05choosing my terms. Presence
  236. 31:08of the heart means feeling
  237. 31:14the meanings, living the meanings, feeling the meanings, living
  238. 31:19the meanings, live them, live the meanings. Feeling means when
  239. 31:26you come and say, for example, "My Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance, for You are the Oft-Returning, the
  240. 31:35Most Merciful." My Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance, what are you saying? He said, "I say, 'My Lord,' do you understand what the word 'My Lord' means? Yes,
  241. 31:45I understand it. My Lord is the One who raised me, who created me, who gave me. 'Forgive me,' do you know what 'forgive' means
  242. 31:52? It means, 'My Lord, conceal my sins, remove them from me, forgive me.' Okay, 'and accept my repentance,' do you understand what that means? I understand. 'And accept my
  243. 32:01repentance,' do you understand what it means that You are the Oft-Returning, the Most Merciful? I understand, I understand, and I live it. Yes, I understand and I live it, not just understand, I understand
  244. 32:11the scientific knowledge, no, the practical knowledge, that I feel that I have sinned and that
  245. 32:17God Almighty's forgiveness is vast. Okay, when I say, 'There is no power nor strength except with God,' do you know
  246. 32:24what that means? Oh God, I know, I mean, my Lord, and I believe and understand its meaning 100%. I have no power
  247. 32:32, no strength, no ability, no power except through You. By God, my Lord, I have no power except with You, O
  248. 32:38God. This is a moment. Do you understand what "O God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad" means? Do you understand what it means that God
  249. 32:45blesses you ten times? My friends, my friends, is it possible for a mind to comprehend this
  250. 32:51beauty? That God blesses you ten times? By God, this beauty is unimaginable, my friends. Do
  251. 33:00you understand the image? That your beloved Prophet in his grave is praying for you, saying, "O Lord, bless so-and-so."
  252. 33:09Do you understand what it means? If
  253. 33:14God relieves your worries and forgives your sins, and so
  254. 33:17on and so forth, live the meanings, live the meanings. Yes, okay, also, presence of heart. There is another important thing. What is it?
  255. 33:29Also, presence of heart. I imagine the matter. What do I want from the Lord of the Worlds? Oh, I want God to make things easy for me,
  256. 33:39for example, make my graduation easy. I imagine this graduation, I feel the scenario of this graduation. This helps
  257. 33:47a person, it helps a person to continue. We called this the artistic image. This is number five. Yes, number
  258. 33:57six, and last thing. Tranquility, joy, happiness, and optimism—
  259. 34:06oh, this is a dilemma! I swear to God, it's not a dilemma at all! I swear to God, if you listen, I'm going to elaborate on it a little longer.
  260. 34:16Why is it joy, happiness, and optimism? Because this is something that,
  261. 34:21unfortunately, young men and women are unable to achieve. Why should I be
  262. 34:28happy and joyful? I'll tell you the first thing: why shouldn't I be
  263. 34:35happy and joyful as long as I know who God is? Noor Al-Zahrani said that the artistic image
  264. 34:44is drawing the path to happiness. No, now we're starting to mix up the concepts.
  265. 34:51Noor Al-Zahrani has a problem. Listen, Noor Al-Zahrani, for example, you want to marry someone,
  266. 35:00let's say, say, your cousin. You desire this man because of his religion and his morals,
  267. 35:07and so on. Okay, you're very happy that you want this man. You said, "O God, make my marriage
  268. 35:15to this man easy for me," and you are mindful of your request. You want to get married, and you live in your mind's eye the moment that you are
  269. 35:22now in this man's house, and the moment that you are now living with him under one roof, and the moment that God
  270. 35:29has made you pregnant and made you give birth and be responsible for a house and so on. This is the image, not drawing
  271. 35:39a path. The path is that you come and say, "Okay, how will God bring me this man? The means are cut off, and the
  272. 35:49means are cut off." The connection between us is not your business how
  273. 35:54God will bring it about, but He will bring it to you in the way you love. This isn't about drawing my path
  274. 36:00to God, it's about imagination. Do you understand? I mean, I entered university and I have a
  275. 36:07doctoral dissertation defense, and it's extremely difficult. So I said, "O God, make it easy for me," and I started experiencing the joy of
  276. 36:16graduating and having my defense, and so on. But I didn't draw my path to God; I left it to God to save me
  277. 36:25from the defense. He will bring me easy examiners, and things will happen this way, and so on. Is that clear? Do you understand
  278. 36:33me, Noura? It seems you have a problem with this topic; we need to address it. Now, let's talk about
  279. 36:39joy, happiness, and optimism. I want to pause here for a moment. Why should I be happy? Because first of all,
  280. 36:47I know who God is. I know who God is, people! I swear to God, if a prince or someone
  281. 36:56in a position of authority asked me, "Tariq, what is your problem?" I would say, "Well, my problem is this," and he would say, "Listen, whenever you want
  282. 37:06me to solve this problem, pick up the phone or come to the office, and I will provide for you."
  283. 37:14How would you feel reassured, by God? How would you feel
  284. 37:18reassured ? How would you feel reassured when a senior official says, "I heard you have a problem.
  285. 37:25If you need me to intervene and solve the issue for you, I am ready. Just give me a phone call." By God, how
  286. 37:34reassured would you feel? By God, it will be, by God, there is no joy like it, my brothers. What about the One who says to a thing, "Be,"
  287. 37:42and it is? This is one of the reasons for joy and happiness. One of the reasons for joy and happiness is that I have asked for something
  288. 37:50from its true Owner. One of the reasons for joy , happiness, and glad
  289. 37:55tidings is the pleasure of conversing with the Lord of the Worlds. It is, my brothers, something easy
  290. 38:02that I am sitting with God, and something easy that I am speaking to God.
  291. 38:09This state of ecstasy, delight, joy, and happiness that I am experiencing is something easy, my brothers. It is
  292. 38:16that God has forgiven me. It is that God has forgiven me for speaking to Him. One of the manifestations of joy and happiness is that God
  293. 38:24has heard me. One of the manifestations of joy and happiness is that God has promised me an answer. God has promised me an answer.
  294. 38:30He has promised me. That's it, it's over. I am happy and joyful. I am preparing for my joy. Thank you. The matter is over. I am
  295. 38:38preparing for my joy. This is the reason for joy, happiness, and glad tidings on the path of certainty. If a person loses
  296. 38:47the state of joy and the secret of glad tidings, then he has not mastered the path of certainty, my brothers. The path of certainty, first of all,
  297. 38:55requires you to experience pleasure and enjoyment on a path within yourself, such that It becomes sweeter
  298. 39:03and more delightful for you than your actual request when you feel your request, when you remember your actual request, and when you remember
  299. 39:12the pleasure you experience sitting with God and speaking to Him. You find that the joy of sitting with God
  300. 39:19is worth millions of times more. After that, the request comes to you, O Lord of certainty,
  301. 39:25an inner spiritual feeling. After you taste this inner
  302. 39:31spiritual feeling, it comes to you, praise be to God. After that, the request becomes easy to fulfill. By God, it's easy, easy to fulfill, my
  303. 39:38brothers. The path of certainty is a way of life, a way of life. Okay, for example, someone might come—I expect one
  304. 39:49of you wants to ask a question—and say, "O Sheikh, how do I follow the path of certainty with all acts
  305. 39:56of worship?" It's easy, easy. First, if we look at the Holy Quran,
  306. 40:02how do I follow the path of certainty? First, I ask myself, "Whose words am I reading?" I am reading the words of
  307. 40:11God. I read and imagine that God is the one speaking to me. What an honor
  308. 40:17this is, my brothers! He said, "And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection [ __ ] so that he may hear the words of
  309. 40:26God." The words of God, the words of
  310. 40:31God, the words of my Lord, God, speaking to him. Here, one, two,
  311. 40:40these words have meanings that I want to taste
  312. 40:46and feel. Three things: I need to have faith that this is
  313. 40:55good, or that this is the word of God Almighty, revealed to mend my heart and soul. So
  314. 41:04I read and extract the meanings that nourish my soul, that nourish my soul, so that meanings are born within me
  315. 41:13that heal the ailments of my soul. For example, when I read the words of God Almighty, "And Noah
  316. 41:23called upon Us, and how excellent a responder We are!" (Quran 37:10), when I hear the words of
  317. 41:31God Almighty, for example, "Thereupon Zechariah called upon
  318. 41:38his Lord," a message to me: Are you worried, in debt, wanting a spouse, wanting a child, wanting
  319. 41:48success? Listen, the angels called to him while he
  320. 41:56was standing in prayer, not knocking on people's
  321. 42:01doors . The angels called to him
  322. 42:06while he was standing in prayer—where? In
  323. 42:15the prayer niche, the place of your prayer. It doesn't have to be the mihrab of a mosque, but any place of your prayer.
  324. 42:24The angels called to him Angels, while he was standing praying in
  325. 42:30the sanctuary, said, "God gives you good tidings of John, He gives you good tidings of
  326. 42:40John." The good tidings have come, the good tidings have come. This is a message from the Lord of the Worlds: "O human being,
  327. 42:48O poor, O respected one, O
  328. 42:54respected one, this is a message for you." He stood up, praying. He said, while he was standing, supplicating, "
  329. 43:03Raise your voice and say to him, 'O Lord, O You Who gave to Zechariah, give to me as You gave to this one.'" Why
  330. 43:11isn't this present when we read the Holy Quran on the path of certainty? Why isn't it present? What
  331. 43:17's the rush? I must complete the Holy Quran every three days, once a year, and so on. Why complete the Quran
  332. 43:23once a year? Through contemplation, awareness, and understanding, all spiritual problems and my whole life will be solved.
  333. 43:30By God, I described people as bewitched. Reading Surah Al-Baqarah with contemplation, by God, one
  334. 43:39of them spent days contemplating it thoroughly,
  335. 43:44and then God Almighty bestowed healing upon him. Yes, my prayers, why aren't they
  336. 43:51on the path of "I am standing before Him"? What does "God hears those who praise Him" mean? This is the path of certainty
  337. 43:58in my solitude. One woman asked me, "What should I do with vinegar?" I said, "Nothing, just sit with
  338. 44:05God and remember the greatness of what He has given you, the greatness of His blessings upon you, and so on." I told her, "Four
  339. 44:11hours." She said, "Honestly, Doctor, I forget myself in three hours. I just sit and feel
  340. 44:19His nearness." He said, "So she says, 'Is it possible that God Almighty is so close to me right now?'"
  341. 44:27My brothers and sisters, this must be present. It's six
  342. 44:33steps, six steps. This is the path to certainty. This is the first thing:
  343. 44:41knowledge. The second thing is to deal with God Almighty according to His divinity and Lordship, and according to
  344. 44:50His perfection in this great universe. The third point is feeling His presence and nearness. The fourth point is neediness.
  345. 44:59And the fifth point is presence
  346. 45:05of heart. Be present of heart. Keep your heart present. God doesn't want your tongue. God doesn't want
  347. 45:14your tongue. Yes, it's presence of heart. I want to comment on this with something
  348. 45:20simple: Beware of becoming a prisoner of numbers in remembrance and supplication. It's not your job. Don't do 1000 or 2000. No, do
  349. 45:29n't I want to do 1000 or 2000. I want you to remember God with the certainty of heart, presence of
  350. 45:40heart, presence of heart. Okay, my brother, if you do ten istighfars a day, God is more than enough,
  351. 45:48God is more than enough, more than enough, but with the presence of mind, saying, "Oh, my Lord is Forgiving, my Lord, and my sin is such and such
  352. 45:59and such," meanings, meanings. I mean, by God, why did the Lord of the Worlds give us this artistic image in istighfar
  353. 46:06? He said, "So I said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is
  354. 46:14ever Forgiving. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you
  355. 46:21in showers.'" Look at the artistic image: rain descends and provides for you. He didn't say, "and gives you."
  356. 46:29He didn't say , "and provides for you abundantly," and
  357. 46:34"and provides for you with wealth and children and makes for you gardens and makes for you rivers."
  358. 46:42Then what did He say? "What is the matter with you that you do not expect from Him dignity?" Why don't you know God correctly? "
  359. 46:51What is the matter with you that you do not expect from God dignity?" Why don't you know the Lord of the Worlds correctly? Why don't you give the Lord
  360. 47:00of the Worlds His due respect? But this is important, brothers. When Umar ibn al-Khattab prayed for rain, he said, "I seek forgiveness from God,
  361. 47:07I seek forgiveness from God, I seek forgiveness from God," and he stopped. They said, "Why didn't he..." I asked for rain, Omar. He said, "By God, I mean,
  362. 47:15I asked for rain with the glory of the heavens, seeking forgiveness. Haven't you heard God's words: 'I said, "Seek forgiveness from your Lord,
  363. 47:21for He is ever Forgiving"'?" Look, understand, understand, and this is revelation. We don't want it a million times, or 30,000, or
  364. 47:3240,000, or 60. I just want to sit like this, close my eyes, contemplate His greatness, and then say to Him, "My Lord,
  365. 47:40forgive me and accept my repentance, for You are the Oft-Returning, the Most Merciful. O Lord, O Lord, O Lord, conceal
  366. 47:48my faults." I say to Him, "There is no power or strength except with God. O Lord, I am the one who needs strength, I have no power,
  367. 47:55I am in need of You." O people, speak to God in your own dialect, speak to God in
  368. 48:01your own dialect. Don't be a prisoner of words and patterns and such. I am praying on the path of certainty. These
  369. 48:08six things, work on them, organize them, write them down, train yourselves on them. By God, my brothers,
  370. 48:16by God, if God opens this path for you and you fully understand it, nothing will stand in your way,
  371. 48:26nothing will stand in your way. Strive hard, increase your efforts, rejoice, and say, "O Lord, this is..." This is the path of faith,
  372. 48:37and by God, this is the path of faith. When Job said, "And You are the Most Merciful
  373. 48:46of the merciful," he only said these two words: "You are the Most Merciful of
  374. 48:53the merciful." He understood its meaning, of course. He saw the mercy of his mother, the mercy of his father, the mercy of his relatives, and the mercy of people.
  375. 49:00And if God's mercy is greater, by God, I would be sick if I had someone other than my mother to cure me of my illness. So
  376. 49:06what do you think of the Lord of the Worlds? Say, "O Lord!" A mother doesn't like to see her child sick;
  377. 49:13she would sacrifice her life for him.
  378. 49:17God is more merciful to His servant than this mother. And God knows best. Okay, fine.
