5 Jobs So DESPERATE For Workers They'll Pay Six Figures — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00These are five jobs so desperate for
- 0:02workers that they will pay six figures
- 0:04and I'm confident at least one of them
- 0:06is a real fit for you even if your gut
- 0:09says no chance. Some are dirty, some are
- 0:11dangerous, and at least one is so
- 0:13strange that you'll think that I made it
- 0:15up. And every one of them pays over
- 0:16$100,000 without a college degree. And
- 0:18most will pay you while they train you.
- 0:20And I went over $300,000 in student loan
- 0:22debt for a doctorate that I barely used.
- 0:25And I was stuck in a medical career that
- 0:26I couldn't get out of. So, I built the
- 0:28career channel that I wish I'd had at 18
- 0:29years old. And since then we've helped
- 0:30people land careers that they actually
- 0:32want with over 1,000 verified
- 0:33testimonials. So, here's the pattern
- 0:35that nobody teaches you. The second
- 0:36normal people say no thanks, the pay
- 0:39starts climbing. One remote town for
- 0:40instance got so desperate that it put up
- 0:42a job for $428,000,
- 0:44free rent, and a car on the table just
- 0:47to fill one seat. That's leverage. The
- 0:48employer isn't interviewing you anymore,
- 0:50you're interviewing them. So, in this
- 0:52video everything is sourced and on the
- 0:53screen with real people, no AI slop. If
- 0:55you appreciate me making this type of
- 0:56content, then let me know by gently
- 0:58choosing that like button. And let's
- 1:00jump into it right now.
- 1:03Okay, so the first one on the list is
- 1:04going to be elevator technician. So, you
- 1:07rode an elevator this week and you never
- 1:08once thought about who fixes it. And
- 1:10this job means dark shafts, live
- 1:12electricity, and 2:00 a.m. trouble
- 1:13calls. And I can already hear you, if
- 1:15this job really paid well Shane,
- 1:17everybody would be doing it. Except
- 1:19nobody even knows it exists. And the few
- 1:21who find it take one look at the shaft,
- 1:22the machine crew, and the crawl spaces
- 1:24and they say, nope, out loud. So,
- 1:26there's a Trades Podcast episode that's
- 1:27literally titled Elevator Mechanics are
- 1:29the highest paid in the trades and it
- 1:31has 154,000 views. A union rep on it
- 1:34says top guys make $200,000 a year on
- 1:37the check and only four out of every 10
- 1:38retiring mechanics are being replaced.
- 1:40So, the pipeline is leaking from the
- 1:42top. So, these are the people who
- 1:43install and fix the elevators every
- 1:45building over three stories depends on.
- 1:47Now, here's the receipt. The BLS median
- 1:48is $106,000 a year. That's not the top
- 1:51guy, that's the middle guy. So, in order
- 1:52to get into this you need a high school
- 1:54diploma and the apprenticeship pays you,
- 1:55right? They literally pay you to learn
- 1:57how to do this trade, and you typically
- 1:58carry zero debt. But you might be
- 2:00thinking, "Well, a union trade like that
- 2:02would be so hard to get into, right?"
- 2:03Well, my brother Zach has been in the
- 2:05trades for almost 30 years, and he now
- 2:07helps people find the right trade career
- 2:08for them. And by the way, this pick came
- 2:10straight from you guys. The top comment
- 2:12on our last jobs video called out
- 2:13elevator mechanic and wanted me to talk
- 2:15more about it. So, you get in as an
- 2:16apprentice, and it's a 100K plus once
- 2:18you're trained. So, yeah, that's your
- 2:19answer, and yes, this is a really good
- 2:21career for the right type of person.
- 2:22Now, hold on to Zach because what he did
- 2:24after getting into the trades is the
- 2:26real story. See, he made lots of money
- 2:28in the trades. He's in his early 50s,
- 2:29and he already has nearly enough money
- 2:31to retire. But he started a second
- 2:33income by making a YouTube channel about
- 2:35the trades. And of course, he got help
- 2:37from me since I'm the YouTube boys. And
- 2:39using my system, his first video on his
- 2:41channel popped off, got over 800,000
- 2:43views, and 29 days after posting that
- 2:44first video, he made $214 in a single
- 2:47day. That's a $78,000 a year run rate,
- 2:49so he went from zero to full-time income
- 2:51in less than 1 month. And then he
- 2:53finished off his first year on YouTube
- 2:54making $18,000 in a single month. And
- 2:57I'm going to be talking about exactly
- 2:58how he grew his channel in an exclusive
- 2:59live training that we are doing this
- 3:01week. Click the first link in the
- 3:02description and the pin comment below to
- 3:03check it out. In this live training,
- 3:04we're going to be teaching you
- 3:05step-by-step, even if you're older, even
- 3:07if you have no experience, even if
- 3:09you're not tech-savvy, even if you've
- 3:10never made a video in your life, and
- 3:11you're not charismatic, because those
- 3:13are all things that are true for Zach,
- 3:14exactly how to start a YouTube channel
- 3:16as a complete beginner, and how to use
- 3:18this system, whether you have a YouTube
- 3:19channel or not, to pick the right niche,
- 3:21target the right people, and actually
- 3:22grow a channel that makes money, right?
- 3:24Cuz there's a lot of broke YouTubers out
- 3:25there, and I don't want you to be one.
- 3:27So, this is a limited-time event, and
- 3:28there are limited seats as well. So,
- 3:30click that first link in the description
- 3:31and the pin comment below to secure your
- 3:32seat. And also, if you're watching this
- 3:34in the future, still click that link
- 3:36below because it'll automatically put
- 3:37you on a waitlist for whenever we do the
- 3:38next live event. All right, YouTube just
- 3:41got 10 times easier, and nobody is
- 3:44talking about it. You used to need an
- 3:46entire film crew, and it used to be a
- 3:48full-time job for you to just do any
- 3:50work at all on YouTube. But now you can
- 3:53get work done in as little as 15 to 30
- 3:55minutes a day and you can actually grow
- 3:56a full-time YouTube channel. That's
- 3:58exactly what I'll be talking about at
- 4:00the live training that we're doing this
- 4:02week. Exactly how to start YouTube
- 4:05step-by-step for beginners. So, click
- 4:07the link in the description and the pin
- 4:08comment below to check that out, guys. I
- 4:09will be answering questions before,
- 4:11during, and after the live training.
- 4:13It's completely free. Plus, I'll be
- 4:15giving away an AI that is designed to
- 4:17help you pick your niche if you don't
- 4:18have one in the first place. you already
- 4:20have a niche, it's going to help you
- 4:21make it 10 times better. So, really
- 4:24looking forward to talking with you
- 4:25guys. This is stuff that we've never
- 4:26talked about before. So, click that link
- 4:28in the description and comment below. I
- 4:30look forward to seeing you there. Okay,
- 4:31so the next one is going to be a New
- 4:33York City sanitation worker. Now, I'm
- 4:35choosing New York City specifically, but
- 4:37of course this can work in many
- 4:38different towns. So, this is basically
- 4:39picking up garbage at 5:00 a.m. in
- 4:41January and the city still can't fill
- 4:43the shifts. In 1 year, 94 of these
- 4:45workers made over $100,000 just in
- 4:48overtime alone. Not even their base pay.
- 4:50Just overtime. So, go ahead and say it.
- 4:52Come on, Shane, it's the trash guy.
- 4:54There's no way they make that much
- 4:55money. Well, CNBC made a whole video
- 4:56about this exact job and the title is
- 4:58making 44K a year as a sanitation worker
- 5:00in New York City. And that video has
- 5:02938,000 views. Now, hold that 44K in
- 5:05your head because it's about to look
- 5:06very different. And the internet's
- 5:07obsession with this job gets weirder.
- 5:09The Elon sat down with a New York
- 5:11garbage man for almost 3 hours and that
- 5:13episode has 4.7 million views. Millions
- 5:15of people showed up for pure trash talk.
- 5:17No pun intended. Now, garbage is like
- 5:19dishes at a restaurant. When the
- 5:21dishwasher doesn't show up, the pile
- 5:22just keeps growing and the restaurant
- 5:24pays whatever it takes to make that pile
- 5:26go away. And New York is the biggest
- 5:27restaurant on the planet. So, one man's
- 5:29garbage becomes another man's 200 to
- 5:31300,000. And these are the people
- 5:32keeping the biggest city in America from
- 5:34drowning in its own trash. Now, the
- 5:36numbers come straight from the city's
- 5:37own page. You start at $47,752
- 5:40a year. By year 5 and a half, you're at
- 5:42$95,316.
- 5:44And that's just the base pay. Remember,
- 5:46overtime can take you far over $100,000.
- 5:48And in the shortage years, it gets
- 5:50crazy. Fox News reported that some of
- 5:52these workers saw their pay approach
- 5:53$300,000
- 5:55a year. That's $300,000 for picking up
- 5:57garbage. So, every job on this list is
- 5:59starving for people. Every number was
- 6:01sourced on the screen, and if one fits
- 6:02you, go take it. But, did you catch the
- 6:04pattern? Look at every job that we just
- 6:06covered. People are making YouTube
- 6:08videos about every single one of them.
- 6:09And they're getting paid to do it. And
- 6:11this is what I started off doing as
- 6:12well. I made the career channel that I
- 6:14wanted and I wish that I had when I was
- 6:16younger. And now I've taught hundreds of
- 6:17other people to do the exact same thing.
- 6:18My brother's just one example, but
- 6:20there's Nicole who made it to 80,000 in
- 6:22a single month teaching people how to
- 6:23get into a career called governance,
- 6:24risk, and compliance. Josh who made it
- 6:26to over $180,000 a month teaching people
- 6:28how to get into various different
- 6:29cybersecurity and IT-related careers.
- 6:31Kadisha made it to over $100,000 a month
- 6:33teaching people how to get into data
- 6:34analytics careers. Seth made hundreds of
- 6:37thousands of dollars a year teaching
- 6:38people how to get into digital marketing
- 6:39careers. Troy's made millions of dollars
- 6:41teaching people how to get into tech
- 6:42sales careers. Antoine's made millions
- 6:44of dollars teaching African Americans
- 6:45how to get into various different
- 6:46careers. And the list goes on and on.
- 6:48And it's not just careers. Alex Shep
- 6:49made it to $15,000 a month teaching
- 6:52people how to graduate from college
- 6:53faster. Dr. Clifford Stumme made it to
- 6:55multiple six figures a year teaching
- 6:56busy adults how to get the right online
- 6:58degrees really quickly. And Richard
- 6:59Walls made it to $12,000 in a single
- 7:01month teaching people how to get the
- 7:02right online MBAs as well as
- 7:04certifications to get raises or to get a
- 7:06better job. Felix makes millions a year
- 7:08teaching people how to invest. Nurse
- 7:09Jan, who is in her 60s, made it to
- 7:10$10,000 in just a few months teaching
- 7:13people how to age better. And she was
- 7:14able to quit her nursing job and now
- 7:16she's traveling all over the United
- 7:17States in a camper van. And Nathan Rose
- 7:18made it to a full-time income with a
- 7:20tiny chess channel literally teaching
- 7:22adult learners how to play chess better.
- 7:23And they all did it without having to
- 7:25learn any new skills because they're
- 7:26just teaching what they already know.
- 7:28And if you want to know the exact system
- 7:30that I've developed that helped all of
- 7:31them go from zero to a full-time income,
- 7:33then go ahead and click the first link
- 7:34in the description in the pin comment
- 7:35below to attend our live training this
- 7:37week. Again, this is a limited-time
- 7:39event. There are limited seats as well.
- 7:41So, do not miss out on this live
- 7:42training. Click that first link in the
- 7:43description and the pin comment below,
- 7:44and I'll also be answering questions
- 7:46before, during, and after, so you'll get
- 7:47to meet me. Oh, and I'll also be giving
- 7:48away an AI that helps you choose the
- 7:50right niche for you if you don't have
- 7:51one in the first place, or if you
- 7:53already have a niche, it'll help you
- 7:54make your niche 10 times better. So,
- 7:56yeah, don't miss out on it, and once you
- 7:57sign up, make sure you put it on your
- 7:58calendar. And if you're seeing this in
- 7:59the future, still click that first link
- 8:01in the description and the pin comment
- 8:02below cuz it'll automatically put you on
- 8:04a wait list for whenever we do the next
- 8:05live training. All right, this next job
- 8:06is hiding in plain sight, and it's the
- 8:08golf ball diver. And I know this job
- 8:11sounds completely fake, but it isn't,
- 8:13right? There is zero visibility down
- 8:15there, and you cannot see your own hand,
- 8:17and you feel through the muck by touch,
- 8:18and you share that water with snakes,
- 8:20snapping turtles, and in Florida, actual
- 8:22alligators. And the pay runs $100 an
- 8:25hour per pond. Now, I know what you're
- 8:26thinking, "Shane, you made this one up."
- 8:28I didn't. One Florida diver made over
- 8:30$15 million in his career doing this. He
- 8:33literally made $15 million dodging
- 8:35alligators for golf balls. And 3.5
- 8:38million people watched the YouTube video
- 8:39about that story. Now, there's a whole
- 8:41channel called Golf Roos, where these
- 8:43guys film themselves wading into golf
- 8:45course ponds and pulling out thousands
- 8:47of golf balls. One video is called We
- 8:49Found Thousands of Golf Balls in the
- 8:50Dried-Up Pond, and it sits at 3.4
- 8:52million views. That is 3.4 million views
- 8:55of grown men collecting balls. And
- 8:57here's the smart part, they don't just
- 8:58film it, they sell every ball that they
- 9:00pull through their own online store. So,
- 9:01the videos are the advertising, and the
- 9:03pond pays them three times. Once to
- 9:05actually do the job, once to make
- 9:07YouTube videos about doing the job
- 9:08because they get AdSense from those
- 9:09YouTube videos, and then once selling
- 9:11the golf balls afterwards. So, this job
- 9:13is basically bobbing for apples, except
- 9:15the apples are worth a dime each. The
- 9:17water is gravy, and the gravy has
- 9:19alligators in it. And the grosser the
- 9:20water, the cleaner the money. So, these
- 9:22are the people who dive in murky golf
- 9:23course ponds for lost balls that get
- 9:25cleaned and resold by the millions. So,
- 9:27let's do the honest pay math. Most
- 9:28part-time divers pull 26 to 50,000
- 9:31dollars a year, and top earners push
- 9:3362,000. But, keep in mind, this is
- 9:35part-time. And also, there's a general
- 9:36rule that I talk about on this channel
- 9:38where any job that requires physical
- 9:39work, usually the pays are listed a bit
- 9:41lower than the reality of the situation.
- 9:44And this is for a bunch of different
- 9:45reasons, but one of them is that a lot
- 9:46of the cash probably gets paid to you in
- 9:49person. So, they're not necessarily
- 9:50reporting how much they're making. But,
- 9:51the full-time pros are a different
- 9:53animal. CBS followed a diver who nets
- 9:55$100,000 a year, and he collects
- 9:57millions of balls a year at a dime a
- 9:59ball. So, you can do the math on that.
- 10:01And hold that thought because there's a
- 10:02second paycheck hiding inside every job
- 10:04on this list that I'll show you in a few
- 10:06minutes. All right, next job is going to
- 10:07be a saturation diver. Now, this job
- 10:10sounds a little bit like science
- 10:11fiction. They get sealed inside a steel
- 10:13chamber the size of a minivan for 28
- 10:15days breathing helium and doing
- 10:17construction shifts hundreds of feet
- 10:19below the ocean. And you might be
- 10:20thinking, "Well, Shay, nobody chooses
- 10:22that. And if they do, the pay can't be
- 10:23real." Well, it is real. A channel
- 10:25called The Weld Lab sat down with a real
- 10:27underwater welder, and the video's
- 10:28called $1,500 a day welding underwater.
- 10:31And the number is right there in the
- 10:32title. And the video has over 260,000
- 10:35views. So, why is a welder making $1,500
- 10:38a day? Well, Business Insider has the
- 10:40answer. They call this the deadliest job
- 10:42in the world, and their video on it has
- 10:441.7 million views. And these welders are
- 10:46about 40 times more likely to die on the
- 10:48job than the average American worker.
- 10:49And that is exactly why the pay looks
- 10:51stupid. You see, lobster costs $40
- 10:53because of how hard it is to actually
- 10:54capture them and get the meat out of the
- 10:56shell. And this job is the same. They're
- 10:58not paying you for the welding, they're
- 10:59paying you for the difficulty. And these
- 11:00are the people building and repairing
- 11:02things hundreds of feet underwater. They
- 11:04live in that chamber between shifts, so
- 11:05they only decompress once. And
- 11:07ZipRecruiter has saturation diving at
- 11:09$123,000
- 11:10a year on average. And the crazy part is
- 11:12the floor. Even the bottom 25% clears
- 11:14$101,000
- 11:16a year. And the craziest thing is, they
- 11:18usually don't work full-time. They work
- 11:20on and off shifts, and they typically
- 11:21end up working about half the year. So,
- 11:23day rates run $1,300 to $1,500 a night.
- 11:26And if you work more, you can make a
- 11:27heck of a lot more, even over $200,000 a
- 11:30year. YouTube and building your personal
- 11:32brand just got 10 times easier and
- 11:35nobody's talking about it. And the
- 11:36reason it got 10 times easier is because
- 11:38of AI and specifically Claude AI. And
- 11:40that's what we're going to be talking
- 11:41about in this week's live training that
- 11:43we're doing. Click the link down the
- 11:45description and the pin comment below. I
- 11:46will be there. I'll be answering
- 11:47questions before, during, and after.
- 11:50We'll also be giving you an AI that's
- 11:52been designed to help you pick your
- 11:53niche if you don't have one in the first
- 11:54place or if you already have one, it's
- 11:56going to help you make it 10 times
- 11:58better. So, we worked very hard on this
- 11:59AI. People absolutely love it. We've
- 12:01literally gotten hundreds of comments
- 12:02from people that love it, so you do not
- 12:04want to miss out on it. And if you're
- 12:05watching this in the future for whatever
- 12:07reason or it's already past the time of
- 12:08the live training, still click on that
- 12:10link because we will be having more live
- 12:12trainings in the future and you will be
- 12:14the first person to know cuz it'll put
- 12:15you on a wait list for that. But with
- 12:16that being said, it's completely free,
- 12:18no reason not to attend. Click that link
- 12:20in the description and the pin comment
- 12:21below and I'll see you on the other
- 12:22side. All right, the next one is an air
- 12:24traffic controller. Now, this job might
- 12:26be one of the most stressful ones in
- 12:28America, and that's why it pays so well.
- 12:30So, the FAA is 3,544
- 12:33controllers short. Over 40% of their
- 12:34facilities are understaffed, and the
- 12:36government got so desperate that they're
- 12:38running recruitment ads targeting video
- 12:40gamers. I'm not kidding. The
- 12:42government's actual ad campaign is
- 12:44called it's not a game, it's a career.
- 12:46So, who knew that your Xbox and
- 12:47PlayStation hours were your resume all
- 12:49along. But Shane, don't you need a
- 12:50degree and a military background for
- 12:51that? No, you don't need a 4-year
- 12:53degree. The FAA takes high school grads
- 12:55with 3 years of work experience. But the
- 12:57filter is brutal. Only about 2% of
- 12:59applicants ever make it. And you must
- 13:01apply before the age of 31, and the law
- 13:04forces you out at 56. So, this job is a
- 13:06line cook during a dinner rush that
- 13:08never ends. Except every ticket on the
- 13:10rail is 300 people in the air, and you
- 13:12cannot drop a plate. And you can
- 13:14actually hear that pressure. A channel
- 13:15called VASAviation has 672,000
- 13:18subscribers. And all they post is real
- 13:20controller tower audio. In one video, a
- 13:22student pilot loses his engine midair,
- 13:24and you hear him get talked back down.
- 13:25That video has 9.2 million views.
- 13:28According to View Stats, the channel
- 13:29pulls an estimated $5,300 to $14,000 a
- 13:32month, and the entire product is just
- 13:33controllers doing their job. So, these
- 13:35are the people watching a radar screen,
- 13:37keeping hundreds of planes from hitting
- 13:38each other one instruction at a time.
- 13:40So, what's the pay? Well, the BLS median
- 13:42is $144,000, and that's the highest
- 13:45verified number in this video. And the
- 13:46top 10% clear $210,000. So, the pay here
- 13:48isn't for the work, it's for you being
- 13:50able to handle the stress, right? It's
- 13:51for the weight. And if the weight sounds
- 13:53like too much for you, there's a lighter
- 13:55way into this world. One of our clients,
- 13:56for instance, Tim runs a small aviation
- 13:58channel called Lift and Thrust, where he
- 14:00breaks down planes and airlines. And the
- 14:02whole channel only has about 10,000
- 14:04subscribers, but his biggest video sits
- 14:06at 464,000 views, and the channel's
- 14:08pulling over 600,000 views a month. And
- 14:10according to View Stats, numbers like
- 14:11that are worth an estimated $1,700 to
- 14:13$4,600 a month. And by the way, the
- 14:15estimated AdSense money is usually far
- 14:17lower than the reality of the situation.
- 14:18For instance, View Stats usually
- 14:20estimates that my channel makes maybe
- 14:21$10,000 to $15,000 when in reality last
- 14:24month we made over $50,000 from AdSense.
- 14:27So, it's likely that these estimates are
- 14:28very low. Plus, that's just AdSense.
- 14:30There's many other ways to make money
- 14:32from YouTube. For instance, AdSense is
- 14:34less than a 5% of the total income that
- 14:36we make from this channel. But yeah,
- 14:37that's the kind of money sitting right
- 14:38next to these jobs. So, there's a secret
- 14:40side of my business that most of you
- 14:41have no idea exists. And I actually have
- 14:43a coaching program on personal branding
- 14:45and growing on YouTube and making money
- 14:47on YouTube. This is good for complete
- 14:48beginners, maybe even people who just
- 14:50want to get a job by growing their
- 14:52personal brand, as well as business
- 14:53owners, all the way up to people who are
- 14:55very advanced on YouTube. And they get
- 14:57to work directly with myself and my team
- 14:59to help them reach their goals. Now, we
- 15:01are opening up three to five spots, and
- 15:02this is pretty rare. We usually don't
- 15:04have these open. We usually only limit
- 15:05them to a select amount of people as
- 15:07well, but we're opening up three to five
- 15:08spots, and you can check those down the
- 15:10description and the pinned comment
- 15:11below. And in this program, you will get
- 15:13to work directly with myself and other
- 15:14people who are highly successful on
- 15:17YouTube. Everyone in our program has
- 15:18100k plus subscriber plaques. Just as an
- 15:20example, Shawn was able to go all the
- 15:22way from being stuck, not making very
- 15:24much money on his channel, to making
- 15:25over $500,000 in a single month. Now,
- 15:27that's an example of one of my more
- 15:29advanced students, but there are lots of
- 15:30examples of people starting off from
- 15:32scratch, and they got to 5K a month, or
- 15:3310K a month, etc. So, check that out
- 15:35down in the description and the pinned
- 15:37comment below, and I look forward to
- 15:38working with you, and see if you're a
- 15:39good fit to work together. And also,
- 15:40check out this video right here to see
- 15:42exactly how I helped my brother go from
- 15:44zero to a full-time income in less than
- 15:461 month.
