- 0:00What's the difference between a standard
- 0:02bathroom remodel and a high-end designer
- 0:05one? You may be thinking that I'm going
- 0:07to say something along the lines of
- 0:09fancy imported tile, freestanding
- 0:12bathtub, or a wallhung toilet. And while
- 0:16all those elements are really nice, my
- 0:18answer is actually behind the spatial
- 0:21plan, the functionality, the blueprints,
- 0:25the detail that went into planning. In
- 0:272025, designers are relying on five
- 0:30different bathroom vanity types. And
- 0:33these vanity types go beyond just the
- 0:36interior design trends. They're actually
- 0:38built to solve problems. They're made to
- 0:41be functional while also giving the
- 0:44clients that luxury bathroom feeling. So
- 0:47stay along in this video to see the five
- 0:50different vanity types. get to know how
- 0:52to build these vanities, how to
- 0:54integrate them in your own interior
- 0:56design projects. You'll see all the
- 0:58details of all of these different vanity
- 1:00sets, and you'll get to know how to draw
- 1:04these vanities for a build ready
- 1:07document set. So, let's get started.
- 1:11Hi everyone, my name is Dianiela,
- 1:14interior designer. I actually started my
- 1:16career off in kitchen and bath design,
- 1:20specifically custom bill work design.
- 1:22So, I know a thing or two about a good
- 1:25vanity design. And I've also seen some
- 1:28disastrous vanities design choices gone
- 1:31wrong. And specifically in a bathroom,
- 1:34you need to pay attention to the vanity.
- 1:37There's a lot of standard items in a
- 1:39bathroom, but really the most custom
- 1:42elements in a bathroom is the vanity.
- 1:45So, the more customization,
- 1:47the more choices and therefore the more
- 1:50opportunities there are to make some
- 1:53critical mistakes. But I don't like to
- 1:56look at it that way. There's also
- 1:58opportunity to make these vanities the
- 2:00most functional and beautiful vanities
- 2:03due to customization. So, in today's
- 2:05video, I'm going to be walking you
- 2:07through the five vanity types that I
- 2:09mentioned, and we're going to be looking
- 2:12at what exactly is it, why this vanity
- 2:15works, a pro design tip, and exactly
- 2:17what to include in your drawings to make
- 2:19it buildable. Today, I'm going to be
- 2:21using Rayon Design. And if you didn't
- 2:24know, Rayon Design is the fastest way to
- 2:27create beautiful presentations and
- 2:30accurate and stunning 2D drawings in a
- 2:32collaborative web-based manner. Feel
- 2:36free to download the free bathroom
- 2:38vanity templates in the description
- 2:40below and follow along with me. Let's
- 2:43get started with bathroom number one.
- 2:45So, let's talk about the first vanity
- 2:47here. And this is the floating clearance
- 2:49vanity. And this is actually a very,
- 2:52very popular vanity. You've probably
- 2:55already seen it done a few different
- 2:57times. And we'll talk about it in terms
- 3:00of a very small bathroom. Nowadays,
- 3:03people are living in small spaces.
- 3:05They're learning to live with it, and
- 3:07they're learning to work around it. A
- 3:10floating vanity can actually help, and
- 3:12it can obviously leave the floor visible
- 3:15underneath, giving the illusion of a
- 3:17lighter space, a cleaner space. It
- 3:20actually is easier for cleaning and it
- 3:22also gives a very contemporary modern
- 3:24look. So, let's take a look at our floor
- 3:28plan here. And there's even a mood
- 3:30board. So, you can see here obviously
- 3:32the top view of our vanity. And we can
- 3:35scroll over here and we see the design
- 3:38intent for this bathroom which green
- 3:40very on trend right now. Very beautiful.
- 3:43So, let's scroll over to this section.
- 3:46And this is where you can actually see
- 3:48the design suggestions for this vanity.
- 3:51So, you can see that there's going to be
- 3:54two sinks. And each individual is going
- 3:58to have two different drawers. It looks
- 4:00like as if the mill work is designed to
- 4:02have no hardware, but more of a little
- 4:05nook where your fingers can go in and
- 4:08pull out the drawer, which you know,
- 4:10once again, very contemporary, very
- 4:13common. Now, we have some vessel sinks,
- 4:16which is a beautiful design choice. So,
- 4:19let's move on to section BB where you
- 4:23can see the other side of the bathroom.
- 4:25So here we have that freestanding tub
- 4:28that I was talking about earlier. Looks
- 4:30like we have a heated towel rack. We
- 4:32have some additional storage. So as you
- 4:35can see here, you get a beautiful idea
- 4:37of how this bathroom is coming together.
- 4:41Let's move on to page number three. And
- 4:44here is where we can really see what
- 4:46this vanity is going to look like with
- 4:48this beautiful render. And yeah, it's
- 4:51very Scandinavian, very on trend. And
- 4:55what we see here in the top view, we see
- 4:58a little bit more detail than we would
- 5:00see on the initial floor plan. So we
- 5:04have our dimensions here.
- 5:07As you can see, we have some more
- 5:09detailed views of how the sink will be,
- 5:12which it will be a single hole. And we
- 5:15even get an illustration of the
- 5:17countertop. Let's zoom in over here on
- 5:21this elevation. And once again, we're
- 5:24seeing the dimensions.
- 5:26We're seeing the clearances and we're
- 5:30seeing exactly how this will fit on the
- 5:34wall. And let's go into the section.
- 5:38And a section is really like if you
- 5:42chopped through something. So in this
- 5:45case, we've sort of chopped through this
- 5:47vanity and now we can see all of the
- 5:51detail. So, we actually see some very
- 5:53important details such as how this
- 5:56vanity is going to be installed, which
- 5:59typically they're installed with wall
- 6:01mounting brackets.
- 6:03We can see the drawer here and that
- 6:06little nook that I was talking about in
- 6:09order to open the drawer. And we see
- 6:13something really cool here. We see that
- 6:15there's builtin LED lights underneath
- 6:19the cabinet here. And that's a really
- 6:22nice detail to add with a floating
- 6:24vanity because it really does give that
- 6:27beautiful luxurious feel. It's amazing
- 6:30for, you know, the middle of the night.
- 6:32You don't want to turn on all your
- 6:34lights and disrupt your sleep too much.
- 6:36It acts as if it's a nightlight, but
- 6:39obviously a lot more high-end and
- 6:42luxurious. So, that's a beautiful
- 6:44detail. And you see once again the
- 6:47different finishes. We have marble storm
- 6:50countertop and we have our vessel sink
- 6:54also could be called a countertop basin.
- 6:57And we have all of the details here. If
- 7:00we want an even more indepth look, we
- 7:04can take a look here and you see all of
- 7:07the dimensions for each piece of mill
- 7:12work. So whether this is wood, there's
- 7:14melamines, there's MDFs, you will see
- 7:18the little details that go into it and
- 7:22this is obviously very very critical for
- 7:25the mill workshop. So my hot designer
- 7:28tip here was to add under cabinet
- 7:30lighting that really separates a typical
- 7:32floating vanity to a custom designer
- 7:35one. And I'm actually going to show you
- 7:37how you can draw this yourself. So, I've
- 7:40zoomed in here and I've removed the
- 7:42light that was previously there. And I
- 7:45actually want to talk about a few things
- 7:47on this section drawing before we get to
- 7:50drawing light. So, as you can see here,
- 7:53there's actually a support blocks.
- 7:56So, we noted of the wall mounting
- 7:59brackets, but there's also these two
- 8:02support blocks which are very standard
- 8:05and necessary to add in your floating
- 8:09vanities. This is actually making it
- 8:12buildable and not just sort of pie in
- 8:15the sky, draw whatever you want. So,
- 8:18it's very important to note this. And
- 8:20it's also important to note that you
- 8:24can't just plop a label floating vanity.
- 8:28We have to make it realistic. So you
- 8:30have to be intentional with the sizing
- 8:33of everything. And also you have to be
- 8:36considerate of the counter height. So
- 8:39typically it is 34 to 36 in from floor
- 8:44to counter. 36 in is the same as kitchen
- 8:48height. So, typically it's the same or a
- 8:51little lower. So, let's get back into
- 8:53drawing the lights. So, let's zoom in
- 8:55here and select this bottom piece of
- 8:58MDF. I would assume we're going to drag
- 9:00it away from the wall and we're going to
- 9:03create room for the lights. Very easy.
- 9:05You just click and you can drag. So,
- 9:09let's go into our little tool kit and
- 9:11we're going to open up shapes. Here we
- 9:13can open up rectangle and we can select
- 9:16where we want this rectangle to start.
- 9:18So we can click in this corner and we
- 9:21can line it up nicely. As you can see
- 9:23it's lined up and we can click out. Now
- 9:26I actually want to fill this with a
- 9:29yellow color to signify a light. So I'm
- 9:32going to add a fill and I'm going to
- 9:34press yellow. And there we go. But we
- 9:37also want to add a leader. We don't want
- 9:40to just leave this on this drawing
- 9:42unmarked. So to mark this, we're going
- 9:44to press here leader and we're going to
- 9:47click where we want it to start and
- 9:49where we want it to end. And you can
- 9:51edit this later so it's really no fuss.
- 9:55And then we can type in what we want to
- 9:57type in. I've copied and paste this
- 10:00little notes. So built-in LED light see
- 10:03details in the next sheet. And FYI, this
- 10:06should be found in your electrical
- 10:08drawings as well. So let's just press
- 10:11done. And as you can see, we need to
- 10:14actually match this font and style to
- 10:17what we already have going on. So, we
- 10:19can easily click here on the leader. We
- 10:22can click this little droplet on Pix
- 10:25styles and we can match it to the other
- 10:29fonts in the drawing. And we can further
- 10:31edit it here. And as you can see, we can
- 10:35make it fit where we want it to. So,
- 10:38let's say I'm happy with that. We just
- 10:40click else and we're done. All right,
- 10:43let's get into the second vanity we're
- 10:45going to be looking at and that is the
- 10:47maximized corner vanity. So, think about
- 10:50awkward spaces, small bathrooms. Once
- 10:53again, in the real world of interior
- 10:56design, there's going to be a lot of
- 10:58less than ideal floor plans that you'll
- 11:00have to work with and you'll have to
- 11:02design around. you still need something
- 11:05that gives storage that's functional and
- 11:08that looks good. So, let's zoom in on
- 11:12our floor plan here and we can see our
- 11:15vanity in question. So, it's a pretty
- 11:18cool bathroom, but yeah, there wasn't
- 11:21really much options for where the vanity
- 11:24would go. As you see, they prioritized
- 11:26the beautiful jacuzzi tub and shower. So
- 11:30really, this is a wet room. And so we
- 11:34kind of got stuck with this corner
- 11:35vanity, but it's okay because, as you'll
- 11:38see, we've really made the most out of
- 11:40this vanity. So, let's go into our
- 11:43elevations here. And we're getting a
- 11:45peek into this vanity mill work. We can
- 11:48see where the mirror is going to go. We
- 11:51can see that there's some clever storage
- 11:53for some hand towels. And now, let's
- 11:56take an even closer look. So, we're
- 11:58going to scroll on over to page three,
- 12:00and let's take a look at this vanity.
- 12:03And let's look at the design. And I
- 12:05think it's cool overall. I like the fact
- 12:08that it has open storage. I like the
- 12:10fact that it's sleek and it's utilizing
- 12:13the corner. However, someone can just
- 12:17knock themselves on this corner. I mean,
- 12:20I don't know. I'm pretty clumsy and I'm
- 12:22always hitting my foot on corners and,
- 12:25you know, scraping myself. So, it might
- 12:28just be me, but when we design, we're
- 12:32designing for people and we're designing
- 12:34for functionality and also comfort. So,
- 12:38it probably make more sense for these
- 12:42areas to be curved. You would still gain
- 12:46the functionality of storage, but you're
- 12:48eliminating this harsh corner where once
- 12:51again, people can actually hurt
- 12:53themselves. So, I'm going to show you
- 12:55how we can round out these corners. The
- 12:59first step here is to select polyline
- 13:03and we're going to trace around this
- 13:05vanity. And if we want to have a little
- 13:07bit of thicker line, we can do that over
- 13:09here. So, we're going to connect these
- 13:12two lines and we're going to hit escape.
- 13:14Then, we're going to hit polyline again
- 13:16and connect the corners to themselves.
- 13:20So, I'm going to hit escape, polyline
- 13:22again.
- 13:24and I'm going to hit escape.
- 13:27Now, with this selected, I'm going to go
- 13:29in this tool kit and I'm going to press
- 13:32fill it. And I'm going to select these
- 13:35two segment lines. And here it's asking
- 13:38for the radius. So, I'm going to put 10.
- 13:40Done. Let's do the same on this side.
- 13:45Done. Cool. I'm going to press line and
- 13:48I'm going to connect this together.
- 13:51And now I'm going to select all of these
- 13:53lines. So I'm going to hold down shift
- 13:56and I'm going to highlight everything in
- 13:58blue. And now I'm going to join this. So
- 14:02I'm going to go on this toolkit and
- 14:04press join. While this is connected, I'm
- 14:08going to go into my little pick styles
- 14:10and I'm going to fill in this area. And
- 14:14now I'm going to very carefully delete
- 14:18these corners. So, delete, delete. We're
- 14:23going to press done. We're going to go
- 14:25into layers and we're going to make sure
- 14:27that areas is turned on. So, now that
- 14:30we've turned our vanity into one with
- 14:32rounded corners, let's take a look at
- 14:34the rest of this page. So, it includes
- 14:38an elevation where you can see what's
- 14:41intended for the storage. You can see
- 14:44the mirror once again, the detail with
- 14:46the sink and faucet. And here in this
- 14:49section, you can see something cool. You
- 14:52can see that this is going to be
- 14:54intended for laundry storage, which is
- 14:57really nice, really sleek. And over
- 14:59here, we have a mood board. So, we can
- 15:02see the beautiful jacuzzi tub. We can
- 15:05have a picture of how the vanity is
- 15:07going to look. Of course, this was
- 15:08before we tailored it, but we still get
- 15:11the idea. So, overall, I would say that
- 15:15this is a very clever vanity. And I want
- 15:18to give you a little bit of a blueprint
- 15:21tip before we move on. You can never
- 15:24assume that walls are straight. You can
- 15:26never assume that, you know, a corner is
- 15:29a perfect right angle. Obviously, in
- 15:33your drawing, typically you see
- 15:34everything straight and perfect. But in
- 15:37the real life of interior design, it's
- 15:39never that simple. So, you need to go on
- 15:42site or your trade person needs to go on
- 15:45site and verify the actual angle and
- 15:48double check your walls before you go
- 15:51ahead with custom nail work. We're
- 15:53moving on to the third vanity type. And
- 15:56that vanity type is statement piece
- 15:59vanity. And in this case, what makes it
- 16:01a statement is the vessel sink. And I've
- 16:04actually mentioned the vessel sink in
- 16:07this document package previously. So
- 16:10vessel sinks are one that sit on top of
- 16:14the counter and they come in all shapes
- 16:17and sizes and like I said I used to be
- 16:21in custom mill work design so I'm very
- 16:23familiar with different plumbing brands
- 16:25and these vessel sinks can be
- 16:28extraordinary. There are some that are
- 16:29hand painted. They're, you know, funky
- 16:32shapes. There's different colors,
- 16:34different formats. It's just it's it's a
- 16:38world of its own and it's an absolutely
- 16:40amazing way to make a vanity really
- 16:42stand out. The important thing to know
- 16:45with these types of sinks is that you
- 16:47have to be very considerate with the
- 16:49type of faucet that goes with the sink.
- 16:52So, actually, you can do wall-mounted
- 16:55faucets, which are really cool. You just
- 16:57have to make sure that you're installing
- 16:59them at the proper height. And you can
- 17:01do taller faucets for these vessel
- 17:05sinks. So you can't put a typical
- 17:08faucet, otherwise you'll get splashing
- 17:11and it just won't be comfortable for the
- 17:13person to wash their hands. So the moral
- 17:16of the story here is make sure that
- 17:20everything is working in harmony. Your
- 17:22sink, your faucet, and your mill work.
- 17:24So let's take a look further into this
- 17:28document. So, this bathroom is actually
- 17:31really cool. You have a separate toilet
- 17:33room, which I highly recommend if you
- 17:35have the space. Beautiful shower room,
- 17:38freestanding tub, which there's some
- 17:40beautiful freestanding tubs as well. And
- 17:43we have our mood board. And I would say
- 17:45this statement vanity actually makes a
- 17:47statement as well due to the color. I
- 17:50mean, people tend to shy away from
- 17:52color, but I find that people are very
- 17:55comfortable with the color blue. So, in
- 17:57my interior design work, I've done a lot
- 17:59of blue vanities and kitchens. Um, I
- 18:03would love to spice it up with some
- 18:05burgundy's and some other jewel tones,
- 18:07but people gravitate towards blue. So,
- 18:10let's take a look at some of the
- 18:12elevations. Now, once again, stunning
- 18:15freestanding tub here. You can see
- 18:18there's a wall-mounted tub faucet. So,
- 18:21that's pretty cool. Um, I think, you
- 18:24know, they're kind of a little bit more
- 18:27modern than other freestanding tub
- 18:30fillers, but to each their own. We have
- 18:33some beautiful tile shown here, which is
- 18:36very clever because you will get some,
- 18:38you know, water splashing when someone's
- 18:40taking a bath. We have details on the
- 18:43flooring. You can see into the shower
- 18:46now. And we can see there's this
- 18:48beautiful ledge where you can put soaps
- 18:51and decor. And let's take a look at the
- 18:54vanity. Okay, how about we take a look
- 18:57at this elevation first. So you do see
- 19:00beautiful, lovely vessel sinks. And
- 19:03there we have it. We have the faucets
- 19:04that I was referencing, the wall mounted
- 19:07faucets, which I love. They are a little
- 19:10bit more work in a sense of you need to
- 19:13specify the roughen behind the wall
- 19:15beforehand. So keep that in mind. You
- 19:18can't just slap this in last minute.
- 19:20It's an more of an intentional
- 19:22investment into the design. But you do
- 19:25have some beautiful shelving here for
- 19:28some, you know, very luxurious towels
- 19:31or, you know, whatever it may be. If we
- 19:34look into the section here, we can see
- 19:38details within the mill work as we
- 19:41discussed before. Yeah. So, we see open
- 19:44storage. This one is not a floating
- 19:46vanity. It's just a typical vanity that
- 19:49sits on the floor. And there's nothing
- 19:51wrong with that. That has a sort of
- 19:53elegance and it's a little bit more
- 19:54traditional, which some people do
- 19:56gravitate towards. And we see the plan
- 19:59view here. all detailed, dimensioned,
- 20:02gorgeous. And let's look at our mood
- 20:04board. So, we actually have a specific
- 20:07color picked out here. So, this one,
- 20:09it's very lovely, actually. Um, and we
- 20:12have some chrome. Chrome is very in. You
- 20:16can see the specified items here. So,
- 20:18yeah, this is it's looking pretty good.
- 20:21It's looking pretty good. And as usual,
- 20:24we also have details here for the mill
- 20:27worker. So, if you need to get down to
- 20:29the nitty-gritty, here we have it. Can
- 20:31zoom in here and we can see how thick
- 20:34the countertop is. We can see the door.
- 20:38We can see all of the framing detail.
- 20:41So, very important to have. So, before
- 20:44we move on, I actually want to show you
- 20:47how you can add dimensions to your
- 20:49drawing in rayon. And blueprint tip
- 20:52here. It's very important to show the
- 20:54height of the counter, the thickness of
- 20:57the counter, the spout clearance,
- 21:00dimensions for each detail. You have to
- 21:03ensure functionality and show all the
- 21:05clearances. So let's actually show you
- 21:08how you can add those dimensions. So
- 21:11let's zoom in here and let's say we want
- 21:13to show the overall counter height. We
- 21:17just click dimension. We click our
- 21:19starting points and we can click our
- 21:22ending point. And I can zoom in on here
- 21:25to be very exact. And we can drag. And
- 21:28I'm just going to drag this here for
- 21:29now. And we may want to edit this
- 21:32dimension style. So I can quickly edit
- 21:36it by copying the other styles. And
- 21:39maybe I even want to change this unit
- 21:42type. So maybe you're using metric,
- 21:44maybe imperial, I don't know. Let's
- 21:46change it. So while it's selected we can
- 21:49click edit and we see model canvas comes
- 21:52up and we can change it to whatever we
- 21:56want. So maybe I want millimeters, maybe
- 21:58I want inches, feet in inches, whatever
- 22:02your drawing requires, you can change it
- 22:05very easily. So now we're moving on to
- 22:08the fourth vanity we'll be talking about
- 22:10and that is the open concept vanity. So,
- 22:14if you're after that industrial spa
- 22:16look, if you're after something that's
- 22:19open and airy and has a lot of character
- 22:21and charm, the console vanity might be
- 22:24perfect for your project. So, this
- 22:27vanity is more like a piece of
- 22:29furniture. It has open shelving, the
- 22:33legs, it has exposed plumbing, and
- 22:36there's a lot of character that can be
- 22:38brought in. So, let's take a look at the
- 22:41floor plan. And immediately we can see
- 22:44the location of this vanity. And this
- 22:47bathroom doesn't have a tub, but you
- 22:49know, not every bathroom has a tub. It's
- 22:51still a very functional, wellthoughtout
- 22:53bathroom with the vanity being the focal
- 22:56point. And we can see here, it's sort of
- 22:58once again that industrial spa. And I
- 23:02think it's really fun to take advantage
- 23:05of elements in design that aren't
- 23:08necessarily typically highlights. So, I
- 23:11love industrial design because it makes
- 23:13duct work, you know, beautiful. It makes
- 23:16exposed plumbing beautiful. And there's
- 23:19a little bit more rawness and realness.
- 23:22So, let's take a look at some
- 23:25elevations. And yeah, you can see here
- 23:29we have the wall-mounted faucets again,
- 23:32which once again, they bode well with
- 23:34industrial look. We have the exposed
- 23:38plumbing. We have that open shelf. And
- 23:41it's really cool because nowadays you
- 23:45can get different covers that go over
- 23:48this exposed plumbing if you like. They
- 23:50can come in all different types of
- 23:52finishes and colors. Um the plumbing
- 23:55itself can come in all different types
- 23:57of finishes and colors. The furniture
- 23:59legs, the hardware, everything can come
- 24:02in different finishes. So you have an
- 24:05opportunity to mix metals and mix
- 24:07finishes. Some people like more matchy
- 24:10matchy, some people like sort of a mix
- 24:13and match eclectic look. So, you really
- 24:16can go crazy here if you'd like. Let's
- 24:18move on. So, yeah, here we're seeing
- 24:21that exposed plumbing and we'll take an
- 24:24even deeper dive in the section here.
- 24:29So, blueprint tip, you want to make sure
- 24:32that everything is very clearly marked.
- 24:35So, the leg positions, the clearances,
- 24:39you know, how much space you're going to
- 24:41have so you can plan for what you're
- 24:44going to be storing. And you want to
- 24:46make sure that all of the finishes are
- 24:49marked. So, I just told you that you
- 24:50could do all these different finishes.
- 24:52So, you actually want to make sure that
- 24:53you're specifying that properly.
- 24:56So, it's very important to detail every
- 24:59single thing on your drawing. You don't
- 25:00want people to assume it. So, moving
- 25:03along on this page, we can see that we
- 25:06have a stunning, very realistic render
- 25:09and we have further details here on this
- 25:13elevation. So, as you can see, there's
- 25:16many different styles. If you click on a
- 25:19surface, you can see what style it's
- 25:22under, which is obviously very helpful.
- 25:25And you can change these styles very
- 25:28easily. So, let's do that with this
- 25:30counter here. So once it's selected, we
- 25:33can go here and we can change the style
- 25:36to whatever we'd like. So, you know,
- 25:40maybe we just want to change it to
- 25:41yellow. Probably not, but you could do
- 25:44that. Let's change it to this gray,
- 25:48which is more of a black. Let's say we
- 25:51want to edit this style, and we want
- 25:54everything under this style to change.
- 25:57So while this is selected, we go to edit
- 26:00style. And maybe once again, this is a
- 26:03little too charcoal. Maybe we want it to
- 26:06read as more of a lighter gray. So you
- 26:08can see here I have that option to edit
- 26:10fill. I also have different options to
- 26:13make it a texture, a hatch. I can even
- 26:16import an image. But let's say to make
- 26:18it simple, I just want it to be a little
- 26:20bit of a lighter gray than it was. So
- 26:23let's go back and I've changed it here.
- 26:26I can even change the stroke. Let's see
- 26:28how that looks. H maybe a little
- 26:30thinner. So, I've given it a stroke. And
- 26:33now I've actually changed this style in
- 26:36totality. So, everything in my drawing
- 26:40that has this style will change to
- 26:42reflect the new properties. All right.
- 26:45So, we made it to the fifth and final
- 26:48vanity that I'll be talking about in
- 26:50this tutorial, and it's the spacious
- 26:52vanity. So, think of large bathrooms,
- 26:56think primary on suite. It's a
- 26:59freestanding vanity that mimics
- 27:01furniture. It almost mimics a dresser.
- 27:05And for 2025, we're really seeing this
- 27:08becoming a huge trend. So, think walnut
- 27:10vanities, fluted fronts, greens, blues.
- 27:15Let's take a look at this bathroom
- 27:17design. So, you can see here, yes, it's
- 27:20spacious. It takes up about half the
- 27:23bathroom and I'm not mad at that. We can
- 27:27see here this stunning mood board and a
- 27:31beautiful inspiration photo which I'll
- 27:33be showing you how you can actually very
- 27:35easily copy and paste a photo from
- 27:38Pinterest into Rayon. But let's take a
- 27:41look at these elevations first. So you
- 27:44can see here, yes, we have some open
- 27:47drawers and we have some closed drawers.
- 27:51So let's take a look at these sections
- 27:54here. And while we're taking a look
- 27:56here, I want to give you a bit of a
- 27:59blueprint tip, and that is to leave
- 28:02clearances from the walls and toilets.
- 28:05So you want at least 4 in. And this is
- 28:09going to be great for cleaning. And we
- 28:12also want to ensure that we are using
- 28:15our elevation drawings to show drawer
- 28:18and door layouts. So we're going to
- 28:21actually be taking a zoom here and take
- 28:25a look at the labels. So we have open
- 28:29shelf, we have our notes on the
- 28:32integrated handle and once again we do
- 28:36have installation notes which is very
- 28:38helpful to know. So earlier I mentioned
- 28:41that you can simply copy and paste
- 28:44photos from Pinterest or Google straight
- 28:47into Rayon. So this means that Rayon is
- 28:50sort of your one-stop shop and you can
- 28:52create beautiful stunning mood boards in
- 28:55one software. So I'm actually going to
- 28:57show you how we can do that. So here I
- 29:00am in Pinterest in my Pinterest and
- 29:04let's type in bathroom. Here we have
- 29:07some stunning vessel sinks. like I was
- 29:09telling you about. Let's see what I want
- 29:12to pop in. Let's say I want to pop in
- 29:14this photo once again. Very arbitrary.
- 29:18Let's select copy image. And now I'm
- 29:22going to hop back into Rayon and we're
- 29:24going to paste it. So, we're back in
- 29:26Rayon. Let's paste my little Pinterest
- 29:28find here. And there we have it.
- 29:31Amazing. I'm going to delete this one.
- 29:33And I'm going to replace it with this
- 29:36photo. And I can obviously scale it. And
- 29:39there we have it. That was super super
- 29:42easy. So there you have it. You now have
- 29:44a blueprint for five vanity types that
- 29:47designers such as myself utilize to
- 29:50maximize bathroom space. Let's run it
- 29:53back one more time. So we took a look at
- 29:56the floating clearance vanity, which is
- 29:58perfect for small spaces. We took a look
- 30:01at the maximized corner vanity, which is
- 30:04made for tricky spaces.
- 30:07We looked at the statement piece vanity
- 30:09which is perfect for making a bold
- 30:12statement. We looked at the open concept
- 30:14vanity which is perfect for light and
- 30:17airy spaces. And we looked at the
- 30:19spacious freestanding vanity when you
- 30:22need a lot of storage. So each vanity is
- 30:26solves a realworld problem. And your
- 30:29blueprint is what turns the idea into a
- 30:32buildable plan. a buildable vanity that
- 30:35a mill worker can actually create. Make
- 30:39sure to download the free bathroom
- 30:41layout template from Rayon Design. It's
- 30:43linked in the description and you can
