0:05you out, here are a ton of early
0:07gamechanging tips to help you on your
0:09adventure in The Legend of Zelda:
0:11Ocarine of Time remake. Also, feel free
0:13to share your own tips in the comment
0:15below that I don't mention in the video
0:16to help another Zelda fan out. So, in
0:19the controls, you're going to have a
0:20setting called targeting type, and by
0:22default, it's going to be on hold.
0:24Essentially, hold is when you go up to
0:25an enemy, you press this button, but you
0:28have to maintain keeping the pressure on
0:30the control because that is the only way
0:33that's going to work. So, you're just
0:34keeping a hold on there just like that.
0:37Really simple. However, if you go ahead
0:39to the options and decide you want the
0:41targeting type to be toggle, well, this
0:43is really interesting cuz all you have
0:44to do is one simple tap and you can
0:47easily just pivot around the enemy,
0:48dance around, and you're not stressing
0:51out your pointer finger. So, that's
0:52completely an option. And I think you
0:54should give that a try to see what you
0:56would prefer better. And if you want to
0:57get off the target, you just tap it and
0:59you're done. So, it's a matter of if you
1:00want to hold it or if you want to just
1:02simply tap it. Now, when it comes to
1:04going in certain directions in the game,
1:06you simply can just rotate the right
1:08joystick like this and turn left and
1:12right. However, if you want to like turn
1:14around, there's another trick to doing
1:16this. All you have to do is have Link
1:18face the opposite direction. And then
1:19you're going to just press the L. And
1:20just like that, you are now facing the
1:22other direction. you face this way, tap
1:24ZL. And so basically, whatever direction
1:26you facing Link and ZL is the way it'll
1:29quickly go. It's a quick swap that you
1:30want to do so you always don't just have
1:32to rotate around. Speaking about
1:34rotating your joystick around, you want
1:36to head over into options and you'll see
1:38that there is something called camera
1:40rotation speed. This is what it looks
1:42like on slow when I have my entire thumb
1:45on the joystick pressing like that.
1:48Next, this is what it looks like normal.
1:59And this is what it looks like fast.
2:06I'm going to have all three on screen
2:08for you to see, but this might be a
2:10better way to play when you're trying to
2:11rotate the camera. So, you could use the
2:13fast rotation, which I think is a lot
2:15better, on top of the ZL direction with
2:18link. So, it helps at the same time. So,
2:20you can go fast. So either way, if you
2:21want to pivot faster and if you want to
2:23quickly do that trick, you both have
2:24fast options. That's just personally my
2:26suggestion. One thing really amazing
2:28about Ocarine of Time on the Nintendo
2:30Switch 2 is the fact that they added a
2:32jump button for Link in the game.
2:34However, it's going to get a little
2:36complicated because the button by
2:38default is X. And I personally feel that
2:41the button X is quite the reach over
2:43with your thumb when you're trying to
2:44press up just to go jump. And you're
2:46going to be jumping very often in the
2:48game. you do actually have an option for
2:50doing that and that's going to be all
2:52the way down under the swap jump
2:54control. So if we swap it over and turn
2:56it on, well then now when you jump it's
2:58B and your thumb's pretty much already
3:00resting by B and you are already close
3:02to Y, which is going to be what you're
3:04using to swing your sword. So being able
3:06to just really easily go from B to Y is
3:08a lot easier for your jump attacks than
3:11trying to hit Y and then go B. It's less
3:13of a stretch, but again it goes by what
3:15you're comfortable. If you play games
3:17that you have to jump with X, well then
3:18you're going to want to stick with the
3:20default. And if you're used to games
3:21that really require you to press the B
3:23button on your controller, then do that
3:25and make that swap. But it's an
3:26important setting. Otherwise, you're
3:27going to have to muscle memory what the
3:29game gives you. And you have that
3:30option. So, why not just do it? Next,
3:32let me tell you about a quick mechanic
3:34that you can use for your advantage
3:36pretty much everywhere. Something you
3:37should just know, but whenever you walk
3:39into a new location and you get this
3:42black screen with the bottom right
3:43triforce showing up, this is a loading
3:45screen. So for example, I have enemies
3:47here like that.
3:50If I leave
3:53just like this and come back, the
3:56enemies will respawn. So I just left. It
3:58just loaded back out. So any enemies out
4:00here now have respawned. And if I go
4:02back in here again on the load,
4:05the enemy has completely respawned over
4:07here. So what is the purpose of this?
4:10Well, this is pretty much useful if you
4:12need to farm a specific item or maybe a
4:15certain enemy drops hearts or drops
4:17bombs and you need to quickly just go
4:18back and forth between that. That's the
4:21purpose of going in and out of loading
4:23zones or maybe you need to break a
4:24certain piece of grass to get rupes.
4:26Pretty much just use this mechanic to
4:28your advantage wherever you go if you
4:29need something specifically. Real quick,
4:31I am doing a giveaway for the Ocarina of
4:33Time Nintendo Switch 2 as well as the
4:36Pro Controller for it. All you have to
4:38do is just go to my Instagram, Philly
4:39Beats You, follow it, and find the pin
4:41video with all the instructions on it.
4:43It is a global giveaway. So, get in
4:45there, lock in, follow, and uh let's get
4:47back to the tips. Now, when it comes to
4:49combat in your system, you're going to
4:51have a button for special action. So, if
4:53you click on that, you can run through
4:55this entire list on what you can do. But
4:57real quick, just to showcase what's
4:59really easy, is if you lock on to an
5:01enemy right over here, and you just
5:02typically press the attack button, which
5:03is Y, Link's gonna sporadically just
5:06swing his sword in whatever direction.
5:08Now, if you tap Y and direct the left
5:11joystick button, let's say left, you'll
5:13see that Link swings left. And if you go
5:15right, Link will swing to the right
5:17every single time if you do that input.
5:20Now, something else about locking on
5:22that's really cool is that you can jump
5:23backwards. So if you just put the
5:25joystick backwards, you go backwards. If
5:27you go to the right or left, right,
5:29left. And pretty much that is the
5:31foundations of combat. So just going up
5:33to a test dummy in the beginning of the
5:35game to get used to these kind of
5:36movements is pretty cool and will
5:38definitely help you. And then you also
5:39have the jump attack. So while targeting
5:43a forward jump and Y. So Z target B up
5:48and then Y. So that's your jump attack
5:50pretty much. That's it. That's your
5:51basic. So, practice your movement on
5:53this dummy in the early game just so
5:55you're good at combat or just play
5:57throughout. I just know it's fun to
5:58practice in the beginning. Okay, now
6:00let's talk about a setting in your game
6:02that is pretty interesting and it's
6:03going to be the in-game interface. So,
6:06this is what normal looks like. You can
6:08see that there is a map on the bottom.
6:09Let me let me get rid of my face. You
6:11can see that there is a map on the
6:13bottom right. You can see the hearts.
6:14You can see that if you hit the right
6:15D-pad, you could talk to Nav'i. You can
6:17see even on the top right I can hit ZR
6:20and pick up some sticks. However, if we
6:22go to our options now and we pop over to
6:25Pro, all of a sudden now you can see the
6:28map and everything has disappeared from
6:30my screen. However, if I do target this,
6:33you can see that there is a nice target
6:36symbol right over here on the dummy.
6:38Now, here's the difference when it comes
6:39to master. If I go into my interface and
6:41jump over to master, check this out.
6:44Now, I'm targeting this. you do not see
6:46the target anymore and it's just Nav'i
6:48on top of this. So Nav'i is pretty much
6:51your guide of what you're looking at and
6:53what you have to pay attention to. So
6:54depending on how you want to play the
6:56game and when you get used to it is the
6:58interface that you should go with. If
6:59you want to feel cool, let me know which
7:01interface you want to try out. If you
7:03want to put all that combat into action
7:05and get a good review, you could
7:06actually talk to this guy right over
7:07here and he'll teach you how to fight
7:10monsters. So you call him the master and
7:12then you can actually practice some of
7:14the moves with instructions on the
7:16screen. So if you want to practice
7:17backflip, just go ahead talk to him and
7:19he'll show you exactly how to do it.
7:22First demonstration, which is pretty
7:23cool. And then you have to try it out
7:25over here on this side.
7:28So target and then it tells you what to
7:31do just like that. And you can master it
7:34easily.
7:44Unfortunately, when you play this game,
7:46there is only going to be one save file.
7:49So, if I hit new game, it overrides
7:51everything that you've done. This kind
7:53of sucks. And when you continue, you can
7:55see that there are a bunch of auto saves
7:57created and your main save. So, just be
8:00aware of that when you are playing the
8:01game. If you want to start a new game,
8:03you can't really do that without wiping
8:05out everything. sucks, but I wish they
8:07would add another save file. So, after
8:09you start the game and finish talking to
8:10Sara, she's going to direct you in the
8:12direction of the great Deku tree, but
8:15you're going to make your way all the
8:16way over there, and you're going to be
8:18completely blocked by this character
8:20here. And essentially, he's not going to
8:21let you pass unless you have a sword and
8:24shield. Now, if you quickly just open up
8:25your map, you'll see on the top right
8:27that tree is going to be the shop. It's
8:29actually right in front of us over here.
8:30And then once you walk inside of here,
8:32you'll see that there is the shield
8:33right over there, which will cost you 40
8:36rupees. Now, there are tons of ways to
8:38find rupes. You'll see rupes just
8:39sitting on top of logs like this. Green
8:42is one and blues are fives. You'll also
8:45will find rupes underwater just like
8:47this. You'll find a rupee to the right
8:48of the shop right over here. Anytime you
8:50see a piece of grass like this, you can
8:52pick them up, throw them, and they'll
8:53give you one rupee each. Other ways you
8:55can get rupes is simply by picking up
8:57rocks, throwing them, and any pots you
8:59find, you can also throw them to get
9:00rupes. If you open up minus to look at
9:02your map, the house to the left of the
9:04shop will have a couple of treasure
9:06chests that you can open up.
9:09You can also find a blue rupee on top of
9:11this pathway right over here. And just
9:13like that, you now have 40 rupees. Then
9:15head back to the shop and you got your
9:17shield. You'll get a little tutorial,
9:18too, on how to target. So, you can just
9:20do that for the fun of it. Next up is
9:22you getting your sword. So, what you
9:24want to do is head over to this location
9:26over here on my map. You can see I'm
9:28facing over here, and you'll find
9:30yourself going through this little path
9:31here. Two two little dummies, a
9:34character here, and you'll find this
9:35little crawl space. Just go right
9:37inside. And once you come right out, you
9:39want to just be careful of that boulder
9:40that is rotating around. To not get hit
9:42by that, you want to make sure to just
9:44squeeze into a space. Wait for it to
9:45pass by. And then what you want to do is
9:47find this ladder right over here at this
9:50very corner. Go up. Go around just like
9:52this. And what you want to do is prepare
9:54to jump across. So just walk and jump.
9:56And then when you open this up,
9:58congratulations. You have now received
10:00the Kieri sword. Now with that sword,
10:03you can just start breaking any objects
10:05you find here, any greenery, and you can
10:07get yourself extra rupes laying around.
10:09After you have your sword and shield,
10:10just head over to this location right
10:12over here, and Mido will allow you to
10:15pass. And then after that, you'll get a
10:16cut scene with the great deu tree, and
10:19you could enter into your first dungeon.
10:21Now, one interesting thing after you get
10:22a fairy slingshot or you have a bow or
10:24basically any items that aim, you can
10:27select it just like this. Now, normally
10:29you could just move the right joystick
10:31up like that and aim at it. But you also
10:34have gyro aiming just like this to make
10:36your life a little bit easier. And it's
10:38a Nintendo Switch, too. So, all you have
10:40to do is just hold down ZR when you're
10:42aiming and then just
10:45that's it. So, just something on the
10:47game that they added. And if you really
10:49really do hate gyro aiming, if you go to
10:52system and you go down to options, the
10:54motion control aiming is what you can do
10:56if you want to turn it off. Sometimes
10:58you might find that really annoying. So
10:59you can toggle that off and you don't
11:01have to deal with that and you can just
11:02use your right joystick to do it. So I
11:04have it off and now nothing bothering me
11:07anymore by doing this. I just can aim
11:09and do what I got to do. So that's what
11:11that setting does. Now, if you want to
11:12do the hybrid kind of shooting with it,
11:15you just have to keep your control more
11:17still and then move the right stick and
11:18then otherwise you can move that. But
11:20that's the hybrid way of playing. I
11:21personally I don't know. I guess it
11:23depends on the scenario you're in where
11:24you want to use your gyro or you want to
11:25use your right control stick. Again,
11:27sound off in the comments depending on
11:29what you use. I'm very curious on what
11:31everyone prefers when they play this
11:32game. Another trick that you can do is
11:34if an enemy is close by to you, you can
11:36simply just press the ZL button before
11:38you even hit ZR to aim. And that'll
11:40target lock on an enemy so that when you
11:42press ZR, it's an instant shot to the
11:44enemy which will take them out. Now,
11:46after you get your Ocarina, you're going
11:48to be able to obviously use D-pad left
11:50right over here to be able to play it.
11:52Now, there's a couple things you want to
11:53be aware of. When you go to the options,
11:55you're going to see a complete two
11:57options added. When the menu, you're
11:59gonna see Ocarina mic input and swap
12:02ocarina playing controls. Now, if you
12:03play on normal, when you hit the
12:04ocarina, you can see that I kind of have
12:06to use both hands because it uses the L
12:09and the R. So, you can see my hands
12:10juggling between both of these right
12:12over here. Yx. If you are someone who
12:15prefers just playing this on one hand,
12:18you're going to go over and swap it to
12:19classic. So, now I could just simply do
12:21that and I can play all the notes with
12:23one hand,
12:27which is pretty nice. You're also going
12:28to have options when it comes to Ocarina
12:31for the mic input. So, none means you're
12:33just using the default controllers to
12:35get the song. Instruments means you can
12:36actually use real instruments like the
12:38actual Horry. And you could see that it
12:40does listen to you when you use it. I
12:42don't have a song currently in the game
12:43yet, but we'll probably jump to that.
12:45But this is pretty much how it works.
12:46You click on that. The game will tell
12:48you that it is listening for audio. So,
12:50let's use my Horry, my my electronic
12:52hory, bring it to my Switch controller.
12:54So, let's see if I can do that right
12:55here.
13:00You could see on the screen that it
13:01works and you have the option of
13:03humming. Um, which is pretty much when
13:05you hit the ocarina
13:11and then the game's technology will
13:13listen to that and when you have the
13:14song, it'll play it out. So, those are
13:16just options for you now that you know
13:18it exists. I'm going to just leave it to
13:19the game for now and keep it on classic
13:21because it's so much easier using one
13:23hand. Now, after you get your Ocarina,
13:26don't head to Hyrule Field yet. What you
13:28want to do is go all the way back to
13:29Kieri Forest to this exact location
13:32right over here because we're going to
13:34get some upgrades for young Link, which
13:36is going to be really helpful in just
13:38making Link a lot stronger because
13:39upgrades are great. And what do I mean
13:41by upgrades? Well, if you go and hit the
13:43plus button on your controller, you'll
13:44see that there are items here that says
13:46the wallet. You'll see the Deku stick
13:48bag and the Deku nut bag and the Deku
13:50seed bag. What we're going to do is
13:51increase your sticks and we're going to
13:53increase the nuts by going to the forest
13:55and get you a heartpiece, too. So,
13:56follow me in front of this door, front
13:57of Kiri Forest, and let's walk right in
14:00to the Lost Woods. Now, if you go in the
14:02wrong direction here, you'll be thrown
14:04right back into the front. So, pay
14:06attention here. So, first thing you want
14:08to do is we're going to go to the right.
14:09And on the right side, you're going to
14:10see this target here. So, just go close,
14:12aim your target, and we're going to
14:14shoot it three times. So you'll shoot
14:15once, you'll see an option more. So
14:17shoot again twice. And then one more the
14:19third time. And then you'll see that the
14:21Deku scrub is going to give you an item
14:24right over here. Here it comes. A bigger
14:27deu seed bag. So now you can carry up to
14:2940. And it actually refills the entire
14:32Deku seeds, which is really cool. Now
14:34before we move on, we want to jump down
14:36over here where you'll find two skull
14:38kids. And what you want to do is just
14:40approach over here and talk to them.
14:41pull out your ocarina and they'll react
14:43completely different and all you have to
14:45do is follow their lead three times. On
14:47the first time, you'll get a blue rupee.
14:49On the second time you follow them and
14:51finish it, you'll get a red rupee. And
14:53on the third time, you will receive a
14:55heart piece. So, three more pieces and
14:57you'll get an additional complete heart.
14:59And if you do happen to mess up, the
15:01song does change, which is kind of
15:03interesting. After you're done here,
15:05just turn around to the opposite side.
15:07You're going to climb up these vines.
15:08Make sure you are facing opposite of
15:10this target and walk this way. Then
15:12you're just going to continue from
15:14walking out. Go straight into this side
15:16here. You're going to see a skull kid
15:17playing here. Then go left. Continue
15:19going all the way down here. Climb up
15:21this and then shield up. Boom. And then
15:25you'll talk to this business scrub right
15:27over here. And you will have an item
15:29that you could buy for 40 rupees. If you
15:31don't have enough, you can just go back
15:33to the front door and then go left and
15:35left to reach this area again. But
15:37hopefully those skull kits topped you
15:39off and then you'll get a bigger deu
15:41stick bag. Congratulations, you are now
15:43upgraded. Another big combat tip is if
15:45you hold down Y just like this, you
15:47charge up, go next to these two right
15:49here, and
15:51well, that was sloppy, but if I was
15:53closer, I would have chopped both of
15:54them. So holding down Y and doing that
15:56is pretty cool. If you open up your menu
15:59and go to collection, you'll notice that
16:00on the left side now the color of the
16:03specific upgraded bags has now changed.
16:06So, because we got deu seeds and we got
16:08more sticks, they're the color red,
16:10while the deco nuts have not been
16:12upgraded. It's still the basic brown
16:13color and the wallet has not been
16:15upgraded, so it's still the brown color.
16:17So, really cool detail here. Now, once
16:19you arrive in Hyrule Field, open up your
16:21menu, go to your options, and you can
16:23see that you can now enable the amiibo
16:27or disable it. And what happens when you
16:29do that is you can access the amiibo tab
16:32right over here by holding R and
16:33scrolling to the right. And you can see
16:35uh when you select amiibo, it tells you
16:37what to do. It opens up a whole entire
16:40circle where the items are supposedly
16:42supposed to drop. but it may not
16:44function right away because it might be
16:46locked to the fact that Link doesn't
16:47have bombs or other items and these
16:49amiibo might be dropping certain items.
16:51But just know that amiibo functionality
16:53can be enabled at this point of the
16:54game. Now, the first thing you want to
16:55do is head over to Hyrule Castle. You'll
16:57then arrive at Hyrule Castle and you'll
16:59get a little cut scene introducing the
17:01town.
17:03As soon as you arrive, enter into the
17:06door on the right side right over here.
17:08you know you're in the right door
17:09because there are tons of pots and you
17:11can go ahead and break these and get
17:13even more rupees. And if you break that
17:15box right in front of you, you'll see a
17:17gold scultula
17:19and that'll be your fifth one. After
17:21you're done with getting all your
17:22rupees, continue further down into the
17:25town. And one of the first places that
17:27you want to go to is going to be right
17:30over here at this target place. Talk to
17:32this guy. And I do suggest having gyro
17:35on for this. Helped me a lot. It's going
17:37to cost you 10 rupees per round. First
17:39one dead center.
17:42You can get one on the left,
17:44one on the right.
17:48Moving target in the middle. That goes
17:50away. So, got to hit it quick. Left.
17:52Right. Then we're going to get two
17:54moving.
17:55So, just be ahead of it slightly.
17:58And then you get two moving at the top
18:00next.
18:02And that's it. You're done.
18:04And then once you're done, the operator
18:06will hand you a very nice prize. And
18:09this is going to be the biggest deco
18:11seed bag. So if you go into your
18:13collection, you can see now that this
18:14color has completely changed on the bag.
18:16So when it's mixed with that red and
18:17brown, you now know that it is maxed
18:20out. So now young link is fully maxed
18:22out. Also, once you beat the first
18:23challenge and you want to make some
18:24money, talk to him again and he'll
18:26explain it to you. So it's 10 rupees per
18:28round. And if you play the basic
18:30version, you can win 20 rupees. And if
18:32you play the expert version, you can win
18:3430 rupees. If you want to farm this,
18:36that's what you need to do. The next
18:37thing you can do in Castle Town is head
18:39over to this location right over here
18:41where a guy's looking into the potion
18:43shop. He's like, "It's still not open."
18:44The owner of the potion shop is making
18:46some sort of fuss. So, it looks like
18:47that starts off the quest. And what you
18:49want to do is walk right inside. And you
18:51can see this guy is completely freaking
18:52out. So, go ahead, talk to the potion
18:54owner. Talks about a bug. He'll hand you
18:56an empty bottle.
19:01And then what you want to do is just
19:02simply tap your R button, slide over to
19:05the empty bottle, wait for the bug, and
19:09ZR to grab it.
19:12Now, after you get the bug, you don't
19:14have to keep the bug at all. You just
19:15talk to the shop owner, which
19:16automatically happens, and he'll hand
19:18you a red potion, but basically giving
19:20you a bottle for doing the quest.
19:25And now you have your first bottle.
19:27Also, a little fun tip that happens in
19:30the game. If you enter into certain
19:31shops, like this one right over here,
19:33you'll see the icon appear now on the
19:35map permanently. So, I'm in the shop. I
19:38talk to the guy. I say goodbye just for
19:39the fun of it. I walk out, open up your
19:41map, and you can see his little symbol
19:43has now appeared in that shop. So,
19:45that's a pretty cool tip. Now, he shut
19:46the door on me. Now, this is really
19:49important because you're going to see
19:50the highen shield right over here. And
19:52I'd like to say do not waste your money
19:54at all on buying it. I know it's 80 and
19:57you could probably get it if you want
19:58right now, but there's absolutely no
19:59point because Young Link can actually
20:01not use it right now. And there's a way
20:03that we're going to be getting it for
20:04free, which I'll show you in a few. But
20:06otherwise, here's just a peep at the
20:08shop over here. Magic jar, recovery
20:10hearts, deco seeds, arrows, and this is
20:11just a shop in town. But yeah, don't
20:13waste money on that shield. There's also
20:14other in buildings in town that you
20:16could enter right now, like this bomb
20:17chew facility, but just because you can
20:19walk in doesn't mean it's active at the
20:21moment.
20:25not open.
20:30>> There's also a mask shop currently that
20:33you walk in and see. It's not open as
20:35well. So, you just go inside. You can
20:37get the icons appearing on your map. I
20:39think that's enough just to say you go
20:40into a shop and unlock the things. All
20:42right. So, we're done pretty much.
20:44Here's how to make your way quickly over
20:46to Hyrule Castle to Princess Zelda after
20:48talking to her. So, right from here,
20:51climb up this little vine here.
20:59And then what you can do is you can hop
21:01on the ledge here because jumping in
21:02this game
21:04and you can just do a roll in there.
21:09Now, just look at the direction of the
21:11guards. They really don't look anywhere
21:12except one direction.
21:15and then wrap around
21:18until you head over to the next set of
21:20vines that you'll climb up right over
21:23here.
21:29Once you arrive at this one, well, my
21:31chicken just hatched from her. There's
21:33my cuckoo. We're going to need that for
21:35in a few. Once that hatches, you're
21:38going to continue going forward
21:40and you'll see that there are two guards
21:42facing that direction. So, do not walk
21:44straight. You're just gonna go over here
21:46on this side.
21:48Step on these flowers here.
21:51Jump right over here. They don't see
21:53you. Look at that. Jump here. And then
21:56you're safe to just jump in the water
21:57here
21:59and head to this platform.
22:02After you head to this platform, you're
22:04going to see her father right over here.
22:07And we're going to use the wakeup cuckoo
22:10on him. So, just like this. Take a look
22:12at him.
22:15and you'll get a cut scene.
22:25Okay, after that cut scene, you're going
22:26to want to drag this over here.
22:32Push that forward,
22:35but not out. Don't do Don't do it fully
22:37out. You can just push it to the edge.
22:39And then you're going to, you know, make
22:40sure it's right there and then jump on
22:42top of this and then jump right across.
22:44Boom. So, make sure it leans off the
22:46edge like that. And then enter into this

25:40Now that you got your first song, you
25:42can open up the ocarina. It talks about
25:44the ocarina mic input. So, I want to
25:46just try out the humming and see it
25:47actually work, which is pretty cool.

26:03It really picks up if you can sing it.
26:07Now, let's go to the options
26:09instruments.
26:11So, let me turn on my ocarina. That's
26:14not the song we're That's not the song
26:17I'm going for. Hold on. Hold on. Hold

26:24So, it just Okay. Well, I just learned
26:28something. No matter what music you play
26:30on your instrument, it's going to just
26:31register Zelda's lullabi until there's
26:33more in your library. So, after you
26:35finished up with Zelda and talking with
26:38Impa, you'll start to notice that the
26:40world now progresses with daytime moving
26:43into the nighttime, which is cool
26:45because now we can have different events
26:47take place in our world depending on the
26:49time of day. Now, once it's nighttime in
26:51the game, because Zelda progresses that
26:53feature to actually happen, you can now
26:56enter Kakaro Village, but we want to
26:58rush over to a specific spot. So, your
27:00first time inside of this village,
27:02you're going to get a little cut scene,
27:03but we're not going to waste too much
27:05time right away in the village, and we
27:06want to take advantage of the nighttime
27:08until we get a specific song. So, follow
27:10me as we head all the way to the back.
27:18All right, once you make it to this spot
27:19over here, we'll be entering the
27:21graveyard section. Now, once you arrive
27:23at the graveyard, you remember earlier I
27:25said do not purchase the Hieruan shield
27:28for 80 rupees from the shop in the
27:31Hyrule Castle Town. Well, the reason why
27:34we're not going to do that is because
27:35we're going to get ourselves a free
27:37Hierrule shield. And in order to do
27:40that, we're just going to pull back this
27:41grave right over here.
27:45So, this is going to be facing straight
27:47here. And you're going to go to the
27:49second one to the right. Hold that one
27:51back. Make sure it's nighttime. That's
27:53the only way to enter. And just drop
27:55down.
27:57And when you drop down, you're going to
27:59find a very, very creepy red right
28:01there. Very scary.
28:04All right. Completely missed me.
28:08Not a chance. And then you're going to
28:10open that chest. And congratulations,
28:13you now have the Hilian shield, which is
28:16amazing because we spent zero rupees on
28:20it. So if you wear it, it's just this
28:22really heavy shield.
28:23>> Wow.
28:24>> So you can't hold it up. And then we're
28:26going to get away from this red cuz I'm
28:28not going to bother fighting it right
28:29now.
28:32Congrats. You did it. Now, if you are in
28:34the graveyard and you see the
28:37gravekeeper walking around, go ahead and
28:40talk to him because you could do a grave
28:42digging tour to attempt to try to get a
28:44heartpiece in the graveyard. So, talk
28:47with him,
28:50start to play, and get digging. And the
28:53heartpiece is going to be in one of
28:54these random spots. Now, the spot that I
28:59suggest you try out is if you face this
29:01exactly where you open up to get the
29:03Hilian shield is the same exact one
29:05where you should probably dig.
29:12So, if it's correct, it'll be a hard
29:14object.
29:20Extra 20 to dig. And the item is
29:30a heartpiece.
29:33So, just make sure that you have enough
29:35rupees here and also comment if it
29:37doesn't happen to be this specific spot.
29:40If you make any mistakes while doing
29:42this, just make sure to load up an auto
29:44save from the beginning of the graveyard
29:45and just attempt this again. But yeah,
29:48that's pretty much how you get the hard
29:49piece. And if you fail, you just redo it
29:51via autosave. But that's a spot where I
29:53got mine. All right. Now, while you're
29:55in the graveyard, there is going to be a
29:57certain stone over here. Go ahead up to
30:00it, open your Ocarina, and just play
30:02Zelda's lullabi.
30:13[bell] After this, you'll get a cut
30:15scene and then we'll proceed further in.
30:49Go down the stairs. stairs.
30:53Open up the door
30:58and take out the bats.
31:02I like to just quickly press on with uh
31:04LZ
31:06and then hit that ZR button to quickly
31:08take them out.
31:11>> Watch out.
31:14After taking out all four bats, the door
31:16will open up
31:18and you could proceed further in.
31:24Now, you want to be a little careful
31:25here because there are more red. So,
31:28quickly make your way past them and
31:30don't get caught cuz they will eat your
31:33health up.
31:36Nice easy pass through and you'll arrive
31:40over here.
31:43Hey.
31:45Oh.
31:54And after interacting with this, you
31:56will learn the sun song,
32:05which can change the time of day
32:07naturally.
32:11It was just daytime right now, so it
32:13turned nighttime. So, you have the
32:15ability to now change time, which is
32:17great. But what benefit does this have?
32:19Well, when we come by these red enemies
32:22again, you see them. They're very scary.
32:24All you got to do, take out your
32:25ocarina. Wow, that is menacingly looking
32:27at me.
32:31Pro tip, use the song book if you're
32:33stuck.
32:41And with the sun song, you don't have to
32:42worry about these reds because they
32:44pretty much just get frozen.
32:57Get my revenge on this guy.
33:04And that's how you take out reds. Now
33:06that we're back in front, we have a
33:08destroyed one over there. We have a
33:09couple of graves to the right. What you
33:11want to do is literally just go all the
33:12way to the right over here facing that
33:15big one. And you're going to pull this
33:16one back. You'll hear a sound. So, if
33:18you haven't pulled it back, just pull it
33:20back like this. And you're going to drop
33:22down this grave.
33:25When you drop down, you're going to see
33:26a big chest right over here. Just go up
33:28to the chest, open it up, and you have
33:32another piece of art. So, at the front
33:35of the graveyard, right before the
33:37stairs, you're going to find a rock over
33:39here. Pick it up. You'll see a bug pop
33:40out. Just go ahead and grab that bottle
33:42that you had earlier. Chug your potion
33:44and use it to grab that bug. Once you
33:46grab that bug, make your way up the
33:48stairs and head towards the left side
33:51over here until you arrive at a little
33:54patch of dirt here. Then drop the bug
33:56out with using ZR. The bug will enter
33:58into the hole and then will pop out a
34:00gold scultula which you will kill and
34:02you'll collect another gold scultula.
34:04Now there is going to be another gold
34:06scultula to the right of Damp's door
34:08over here. You can shoot it or kill it.
34:10However, you won't be able to reach it
34:12until you have your boomerang. So just
34:14remember this one's hanging out here in
34:15the graveyard. Here's how to get
34:17yourself a second bottle. So what you
34:19want to do is head over to Kakaro
34:20Village. And when you are in that
34:22village, go over to this location where
34:24this lady is right over here. So then
34:27talk to her and she'll talk about her
34:28cuckos. There should be seven in total.
34:31All right, here we go.
34:33So the first one is going to be at the
34:35beginning of the village when you walk
34:36in. Just grab that one right over here
34:39and throw it right Oh, inside. Oh,
34:44there we go. There's a throw. The second
34:46one is going to be located right over
34:48here by these brick by the brick wall.
34:51Literally close by to her. You want to
34:53go grab this one here. Here is the
34:55location on your map. Pick that one up
34:58and chuck it.
35:01Now, you'll notice that some cuckos kind
35:04of seem out of reach that you normally
35:06can't reach. So, if you try to jump, you
35:08won't be able to get there. Now, the
35:10trick for these kind of cuckos is using
35:13actual cuckos you caught before. So,
35:15don't mind double dipping and grabbing
35:17one you got before and using it to get
35:19to another cucko. So, for example, I'm
35:21going to go over here and jump off the
35:24ledge with this cucko to make it over to
35:25this cuckoo. I'll throw this guy and
35:27then I'll grab this one. Beautiful. So,
35:30here we go
35:33and throw that one in there. And now we
35:35have a total of three. Now, go back to
35:37the entry of the village over here. Tree
35:40is a good reference point. and you're
35:42gonna see a box that is shaking right
35:44over here to the left. What you want to
35:46do is just run and roll into that and
35:48you'll find another cucko. And now we're
35:51at a total of four cuckos. Reference
35:54point from the middle of the tree again.
35:56You're then going to go straight and up
35:59to the left here. There's the tree.
36:05And you will find another cucko just
36:08hanging out right here.
36:11And that's going to be cuckoo number
36:12five. Now, the last two cuckos we're
36:15going to need is going to be located
36:16across this fence over here. You got one
36:19down here, and you got one up there. But
36:21how do we get to this location? Well,
36:23we're going to have to borrow another
36:25cucko from the farm in order to do that
36:27again. So, let's go back to our cuckoo
36:29farm.
36:31Pick that one up and make your way over
36:33to this area. So, this is where Damp's
36:35grave site is. This is where the
36:37graveyard is. So, right over here. And
36:38you're going to just go up
36:42right here like this. And then you're
36:44just going to take a nice little jump
36:46like that. Nice and easy.
36:50Take the same cuckoo that you have right
36:52now and then chuck it right over like
36:54that. Get it across that side. Pick up
36:56this cuckoo here that's on the floor.
37:00And also chuck it over to the other side
37:02there. Just like that.
37:04And then we're going to take this ladder
37:06and climb all the way up there because
37:07we have another cucko we have to get.
37:11There he is. Grab that cucko and then
37:15just wrap around here.
37:22And we're going to bring this back to
37:24the farm. So, time to slowly take all
37:26three back.
37:29Yeah. All right. And after you're done,
37:31she'll say, "Thank you." And you will be
37:33presented with a bottle. And now you
37:36have two. So, there is a secret
37:37heartpiece on this purple roof over
37:40here. And in order to get there, there's
37:42a trick you can do when you are
37:43gathering cuckos, which for some reason
37:45sometimes may reset after you finish the
37:48quest. So, what you want to do is grab a
37:49cucko and go over to this area.
37:53Climb up here and fly over to this
37:55section.
37:58Then go up the ladder all the way to the
38:00top here.
38:06Pick up the cucko here, but you want to
38:08drop a hard save just in case.
38:14And then grab that cucko, jump off, and
38:17make it onto this purple rooftop.
38:20If you made it there, congratulations.
38:22All you have to do is go over to this
38:24NPC right here, talk to him, and you'll
38:26get another heartpiece.
38:30While we're in Kakaro Village, let me
38:32show you how to get five gold scultulas
38:34really easy here, too, at the beginning
38:36of your game. So, let me make it
38:37nighttime.
38:45All right, this is going to be really
38:47simple. So, the first thing you're going
38:48to do as you walk into Kakaro Village is
38:51first roll into the tree.
38:54That's going to drop the first scultula,
38:56the golden scultula, and boom,
39:00gold scultula. Very easy. The next one's
39:03going to be right over here to your
39:04right on this construction building. So,
39:06let's just go to it. There it is. Just
39:08hang it out. Just walk around so you can
39:10easily just access it. There it is.
39:12There's the second one.
39:15Then right after this, you're going to
39:16go just straight over to this house over
39:20here.
39:23This is going to be number three.
39:30After that, see that watch tower right
39:32over there? You want to head over to
39:33that watch tower. So, we're just going
39:35to jump over here. We're going to look
39:37up. Go ahead and just aim your fairy
39:41slingshot and climb the ladder. This
39:43will be number four. And then the fifth
39:45one. If you go all the way up here to
39:47the north part by this gate, you're
39:49going to turn around from the guard, see
39:51that tree over there, look at the house,
39:55and you will find the fifth one just
39:57hanging out on the back of this specific
39:59house here. There we go. And that's your
40:03fifth one.
40:06So, we've been collecting Scosulas this
40:08entire time. So, let's see what exactly
40:10Scotchulas unlock. You can see that
40:12there is a house on your map. This is
40:14the house of Scotula because there are
40:16webs on the house. So, when we enter
40:18inside,
40:20oh, it's kind of spooky actually. We're
40:23going to see that there are semi
40:26scultula/ people because they've been
40:28completely cursed. But as you can see in
40:30our items, we have 11. And this guy got
40:33freed from being one at 10. You see,
40:36these guys are are still cursed. They're
40:37all cursed, but this guy is not cursed.
40:40Let's talk.
40:45And there's the dad right here.
40:49[groaning]
40:51All right. And here's a reward for 10.
40:56An adult's wallet. So, grown-ups get to
40:58carry lots of money around. Your wallet
41:01can now hold up to 500 rupees. So, we're
41:03making a jump from 200 to 500. So,
41:06continue to collect these gold scultulas
41:08throughout the game. Don't worry, I'll
41:10be showing you all the spots within the
41:11dungeons to get them and other areas.
41:14Now, let's head over to the ranch, which
41:15is going to be exactly where I am in the
41:17middle of Hyrule Field. Now, to utilize
41:20this ranch fully, you want to do it
41:22after already finding the girl's dad and
41:24waking him up in Hyrule Castle area when
41:27you were on your way to Zelda. That's
41:29exactly where we need to be because
41:30otherwise the door on our left over here
41:33would be locked. And because you
41:34completed that, well, it's open and
41:37that's why he's sitting there on the
41:38floor right now. Something really funny
41:40to note is back in the day in the old
41:42Ocarine of Time, there was a little spot
41:44where you can pick up all these cuckos
41:46and shuck them in a corner. But you
41:48really can't do that anymore like you
41:50used to back in the day because when you
41:52throw them all there and start the game,
41:54all these cuckos tend to respawn exactly
41:56at the spot. So like I threw those four
41:58here and I'll start this game in order
42:00to get a bottle. Hit ready to play. And
42:02those four should despawn from there cuz
42:05the screen goes black. It loads up
42:07everything. And then the cuckos are
42:09back. Yep, they're not the steps. So, a
42:11good trick is you could take them, maybe
42:13throw them back on the stairs when
42:15you're playing this game to get the
42:16super cuckos cuz they seem to be stuck
42:17up there.
42:19There's one.
42:22There's two.
42:25And there's three. So, that's the strat
42:28of how I did it. Just throw them all to
42:30a corner. And after that, Talon will
42:32give you
42:35a Lonlon milk bottle. But this is also
42:38another bottle that you can have in your
42:40inventory. So, as you can see right over
42:42here, we are now up three bottles. So,
42:45now you got three bottles to play with.
42:47Also, while you are here, while it's
42:50daytime, you want to make your way over
42:52to the ranch area itself where the
42:54horses are. And you can see that there
42:56is a little baby Eona. So, you can go
42:59and talk to Malon over here. But here's
43:02what you should do. While locked onto
43:04her, pull out your ocarina,
43:07and you'll learn a brand new song.
43:27And this is actually something that's
43:29optional in the game. And the reason why
43:31this song is extremely important is
43:33because this is the first part of you
43:36actually getting Eona. You need to do
43:38this as a child and then you'll do
43:40another part when you're an adult. But
43:42this takes care of this part while you
43:44are a child. And don't worry, I'll have
43:46a full video on how to get the actual
43:48pona. So you could check that one out.
43:50One more thing that we should do while
43:52we're here is get you some scultulas. As
43:54you can see, there's little webs here.
43:56And when you don't see them, and there's
43:57webs, it means they spawn at nighttime.
44:00So, that's just a little hint that you
44:01could see. So, I'm going to make a night
44:03real quick. And we're going to grab two
44:04scultulas. All right, we have one
44:06scultula here on the left. So, just walk
44:08to the left of this house here and then
44:11whack yourself into that tree.
44:15There he is.
44:18Boom.
44:21There's a sculpture up there, but you're
44:23going to need a boomerang to reach that
44:25one. And if you go all the way into the
44:27ranch area here, you're going to see
44:29this little bit of a ruin tower. And
44:33when you go inside, you're going to find
44:35another scula right up above here. And
44:37this is pretty much going to be another
44:39one that you're going to need your
44:40boomerang for. So, just make sure to
44:42return back here for that. Now, the goal
44:44here is to get yourself a heartpiece as
44:46well. So, we're going to grab ourselves
44:48a heart piece by moving some stuff out
44:50the way here. So, let me just move this
44:52here.
44:56And then you want to pull the middle one
44:58away.
45:00Beautiful. Jump up, jump over, and go
45:03right under. And with this, you're going
45:06to get your final heart piece needed to
45:09create another heart.
45:13At nighttime in Hyrule Castle Town,
45:15you're going to run into this specific
45:18shop. It's only open at night. And what
45:20you do is you'll talk to the shopkeeper,
45:21spend 10 rupees, and then you'll go
45:23through a set of doors. If you pick a
45:25rupee, the game ends. I kind of did this
45:27back and forth a couple of times. You're
45:29supposed to come in here later in the
45:31game with the lens of truth, like what's
45:32in the inside of the chest. However, I
45:34kind of just did some video game pattern
45:36ideas, and after the Rupy kept going
45:38from left to right, left to right, I
45:40decided to just go right two times and
45:42then left, right, left. I'm not sure if
45:43this pattern would work in your games or
45:45not. If it does, let me know or tell me
45:47if I was just really lucky.
45:55Another thing that you want to do when
45:57you're young Link is head over to this
45:59location on your map all the way south,
46:02which is basically Lake Halia. And what
46:04we want to do specifically is go over to
46:07a scarecrow. So, you're going to get a
46:09little cut scene when you arrive.
46:11And then we're going to see scarecrows
46:13over here.
46:15Let's talk to this scarecrow right here.
46:18>> This scarecrow is Pierre, but the one we
46:20want to focus on is this scarecrow right
46:23here.
46:25>> Yo,
46:26>> Bonuru.
46:30So, pull out your ocarina. And you want
46:33to make up your own song here. I
46:35personally suggest you do something easy
46:36to make your life easier, but if you
46:38want to immerse yourself, feel free to
46:39do that. I'm just going to simply do
46:41eight notes. So,
46:50and that's my song. And this is really
46:52good for the past because you want this
46:55to be something you come back to in the
46:56future. So, if you want to redo your
46:58song, you could just talk to him again
47:00and redo and make a new one. But
47:02remember, whatever you do here and when
47:04you come back in the future, make sure
47:05you're playing the exact same song. This
47:07is just something to keep notes of when
47:09you come back later on when you're our
47:11adult link because you'll be getting the
47:13scarecrow song later. Very similar to
47:14how we did that Aona thing. After you
47:16finish up with Zelda and Impa, you're
47:18going to need to get another really
47:20important song. So, make your way all
47:21the way over to Kiri Forest and go to
47:24the Lost Woods right over here.
47:32Once you're at the entrance of the Lost
47:33Woods, just follow me. Go straight in.
47:36Then turn right.
47:40Then turn to the left.
47:44You should see a big stone right over
47:46here. Then turn to the right.
47:49Then turn to the left.
47:54Then continue going straight.
48:00Turn to the left again.
48:05then turn to the right and then go
48:08straight.
48:11You'll then encounter a battle. The
48:13quick trick here is to just side step
48:15when the enemy attacks you or just do a
48:17back dodge and then attack the enemy.
48:19After you clear this enemy, the gate
48:20will open up and you can proceed all the
48:22way forward. Here's a fun little trick.
48:23If you have bottles, if you turn around
48:25directly from the steps going to the top
48:27to the sacred meadow, you will see that
48:29there is a hole in the ground. You could
48:30drop down here and grab fairies using
48:33your bottles. That way, if you die in
48:35combat, the fairies will bring you right
48:36back up. So, it's a good way to store
48:38some fairies early on. Now, if you
48:40continue going up the steps, you'll
48:41enter the Sacred Forest Meadow, and
48:43you'll hear a melody, and you will see
48:45Sara here. Talk to her, and you will
48:46learn her song, which will be needed
48:48later. After this, you can head all the
48:50way back to Kakaro Village. Talk to this
48:52guard here, and you can continue on your
48:54very journey. But that's all for early
