- 0:00Hello, everyone.
- 0:00Today I have 40 plus Satisfactory tips for you to improve
- 0:04your overall build efficiency and knowledge of the game.
- 0:07These 40 plus tips will cover a little bit of everything from beginner
- 0:10to more advanced tips.
- 0:12So do me a huge favor and hit that like button and let's get right into it.
- 0:16There is a world grid that you can snap your foundations to.
- 0:19You can do this by holding the control button while placing a foundation.
- 0:23This will make sure that all your factories on the map
- 0:25will align to the same grid.
- 0:27This works best with two and four meter foundation.
- 0:29So make sure to use one of those first.
- 0:32For early game leaves gathering, instead of clicking on every leaves
- 0:36pile to pick them up.
- 0:37Wait until you see the press e to pick leaves message to appear and press
- 0:41and hold e and run around hovering over piles of leaves
- 0:44to automatically pick them up when manual crafting.
- 0:48If you press a space button,
- 0:49manual crafting will be done automatically until you run out of materials,
- 0:53leave the craft desk or press the space button again.
- 0:57You don't have to hold the spacebar.
- 0:58Just click it once.
- 1:00You could significantly improve your build speed by changing the build style
- 1:04by clicking or holding r.
- 1:06This will allow you to change from default to things like zoom or vertical.
- 1:09These allow you to chain up to ten of the same buildable in one click.
- 1:14Start sinking items as early and quickly as you can.
- 1:17This can be as simple as connecting an unused or node straight into the sink.
- 1:21It will take you lots and lots of coupons to unlock everything.
- 1:24So the sooner you start, the better.
- 1:26Slide jumping is faster than just running while running forward on a flat
- 1:30or downhill area.
- 1:31Press C crouch and perform a slide then while sliding jump
- 1:35to get a boost of speed and height.
- 1:37If you slide jump off a conveyor belt, you can get even faster speeds.
- 1:42You can add a new power pole
- 1:44to an existing power line without having to undo the current lines.
- 1:47Just select the pole or wall outlet to build left.
- 1:50Click on an existing line, then click where you want the new one to be located.
- 1:55This also works for wall outlets.
- 1:57You can copy a buildable by middle mouse clicking on it.
- 2:00This will not copy recipes however.
- 2:03That being said, you can copy paste recipes without opening the buildable.
- 2:07Just hover over a buildable and hit control C.
- 2:10Then hover over a different buildable and hit control plus V to paste the recipe.
- 2:14The copy paste also works for signs without opening them.
- 2:18You could change the type of buildable by clicking or holding E.
- 2:21You can also change the material by left or right clicking with this menu open.
- 2:26You can search for info about any item in the game by pressing end.
- 2:30This is also useful
- 2:31for swapping between buildable quicker if they aren't in your hot bar.
- 2:36You can also use this search bar to do some math formulas one
- 2:39plus one plus two.
- 2:47Mergers and splitters can be placed directly on the belts, belt's
- 2:51poles and miners can be upgraded directly without deleting them.
- 2:57You could see what's in a container
- 2:58by hovering the deconstruction tool over the container.
- 3:02You can keep factories clean
- 3:04by snapping buildable positions, by holding the control button.
- 3:08You could create proper 90 degree pipes by changing the build mode
- 3:12to horizontal to vertical.
- 3:14Speaking of 90 degrees.
- 3:15To keep your factories clean, use 90 degree belts as best as you can
- 3:19to do this.
- 3:20Line up the belt with where you would want the turn to be.
- 3:22Then back up the belt two steps and place down the belt.
- 3:26Then you could set the new connection that will do the 90 degree turn.
- 3:29Here's a bonus tip.
- 3:30If this is your first playthrough, just enjoy the game and take in everything
- 3:34it has to offer.
- 3:35Don't try to make these massive builds.
- 3:38Just build the way you want and it could be as spaghetti as you want it to be.
- 3:42Important part is to have fun except clipping.
- 3:45Clipping is never excusable.
- 3:47If you fall down from a high point while full health,
- 3:50you will take damage down to half a life left.
- 3:53If you happen to fall a second time without being full health, you will die.
- 3:57Here's a tip that I don't see a lot of people mention.
- 3:59A lot is you can retire with a conveyor lift
- 4:02by creating a floor with a floor hole, then snapping to the top of it.
- 4:06These next few tips have to do with manipulating stacks of items.
- 4:10Right click a stack of items to split them in half.
- 4:13Hold the right click to choose how much to split the stack into.
- 4:17Double click a stack to move them to a container.
- 4:20You can also hold shift and left click the stack to move the stack.
- 4:24Finally, you can hold control and left click an item
- 4:27to move all of the same items between containers.
- 4:31A quick way to traverse vertically at the beginning
- 4:33is to use stackable conveyor belt poles.
- 4:37My next step is to start finding crash sites early and grab
- 4:40the hard drives within to unlock alternate recipes as quick as possible.
- 4:44There's some great early game
- 4:46alternate recipes like the cast screws or the stitch iron plates.
- 4:50And when you need power on one of these
- 4:52crash sites, you can temporarily build a couple biomass burners
- 4:56and just grab the leaves around the site to power these burners.
- 5:00Change the factory colors by opening the builder menu and going to customizer.
- 5:06You can also
- 5:06set automatic new items of certain categories to be the certain colors
- 5:11I write clicking a color swatch and choosing the default color for
- 5:15a certain buildable.
- 5:17You can swap out an already built wall for a different wall type,
- 5:20such as a concrete wall into a window by holding
- 5:23control while placing the window down.
- 5:26You can snap foundations and walls to things like barriers and catwalks.
- 5:31This allows you to create different shapes for your factories.
- 5:35This next step I've seen a lot of people ask about it
- 5:38because it's not very obvious you can do this.
- 5:41You can mass dismantle only one type of item easily by
- 5:44sending a key by the toggle specified multi select dismantle key bind.
- 5:49This also works when applying colors to your factory.
- 5:52Using the key bind
- 5:53you're able to just color everything of the first thing you selected.
- 5:57Only you can somewhat hide the fighting issues by using asphalt.
- 6:03If you look real close,
- 6:04you will still see some issues, but overall, it's much harder to notice.
- 6:08Rails carry power.
- 6:10This allows you to just run rail networks across the map
- 6:13and not have to worry about bringing power lines also.
- 6:16This also works for your hover pack.
- 6:18As long as you are near a rail line, you will not lose power on that hover pack.
- 6:25I've seen people wonder how to create angled pillars.
- 6:27When you put a pillar down horizontally, you can hold control
- 6:31and move the mouse wheel up or down to create an angle on that pillar.
- 6:35You can close off unused wall conveyor holes by using signs.
- 6:39The trick here
- 6:40is to put down a one meter high floor, but down some signs to line up the hole.
- 6:44Then you could change the color of the sign to match the wall.
- 6:48My last tip is to just watch other people play and find inspirations
- 6:52for your own factory builds.
- 6:53I have a playlist with my update six series right here for you to look at.
- 6:57Until next time. Take care.
