- 0:00street is uh
- 0:03uh
- 0:04>> Marrison Mars Road.
- 0:05>> Okay.
- 0:06>> Marson Road.
- 0:17Like one leak right down there and it
- 0:20been leaking so long.
- 0:21>> M
- 0:22>> and it's a big oak tree, big uh pine
- 0:25tree up there. The line was running
- 0:27right under that pine tree.
- 0:29>> Right. And it had been leaking so long,
- 0:31uh, uh, I guess previous guys that
- 0:33worked here couldn't find it.
- 0:34>> Mhm.
- 0:34>> And we found it. I mean, it had
- 0:36literally washed all of the soil from
- 0:39around the roots of the tree.
- 0:41>> Now, what was that street that you you
- 0:43all talked about? The the engineer had
- 0:45put a new pipe in, but it never been
- 0:47connected.
- 0:48>> This this street right here. The same
- 0:49one.
- 0:49>> Mar.
- 0:50>> So So, so where we going now?
- 0:53>> This is Marrison Road. We're going to go
- 0:54down Marrison Road. We done had several
- 0:56leaks here
- 0:57>> at the Dollar General. Yeah. At Dollar
- 0:59General, right at the intersection of 18
- 1:02and Morrison Road.
- 1:03>> Okay.
- 1:05>> Uh over here, this is where the 2-in
- 1:07line.
- 1:08>> Okay.
- 1:08>> Galvanizes over
- 1:09>> on the on the left.
- 1:10>> Yes. Um
- 1:15like I said, about every every 6 months
- 1:18or so, we'll have to come out and try to
- 1:20repair
- 1:22repair the uh the break in the line
- 1:25again.
- 1:26So, so I guess you know a lot of y'all
- 1:29work is spent on uh water and sewer
- 1:31repairs.
- 1:32>> Yeah, especially especially the water.
- 1:34Do y'all do y'all keep a like a log of
- 1:37every time y'all have a issue or
- 1:40something like that?
- 1:41>> I don't know if Alisa know keep a log on
- 1:44or not. We just repaired it.
- 1:46>> Was that last month, Joe?
- 1:48>> Yeah, we just repaired it uh over here
- 1:50last month. But but I'm quite sure that
- 1:53people calling in or whatever and then
- 1:55she probably got those and everything.
- 1:57So we'll probably see about getting
- 1:59those logs and stuff like that.
- 2:00>> We we we had a few problems down here on
- 2:03uh this is uh Ike Dial Road,
- 2:05>> right?
- 2:06>> Ike Dial, which we just have, I think,
- 2:08uh 1in line.
- 2:10>> Ike Dial Road. 1inch line.
- 2:13>> This going to be uh PVC PVC. That old
- 2:16PVC 1 in PVC Ike dial road.
- 2:23We just repaired it right here.
- 2:24>> Where that barrel that barrel at?
- 2:27>> Okay.
- 2:34And like I said, the lines on here. We
- 2:37serve we don't serve many houses here,
- 2:39but we serve I think it's one, two,
- 2:41three, four houses that we uh
- 2:44>> Okay. That's on the water line here. And
- 2:47this line, like I said, come all all the
- 2:49way down
- 2:51right at a mile
- 2:55from uh Mars Road.
- 3:03So, so uh that this whole line loop
- 3:06together or do you have like a gate
- 3:08valve somewhere that stop your where
- 3:11your service stop? Yeah, I our our our
- 3:13service stopped right up here.
- 3:15>> We just repaired it over here
- 3:18>> uh recently where it worked in. But
- 3:21right up here, we we stop here.
- 3:23>> Y'all got a gate gate there?
- 3:25>> But no, but uh a uh another homeowner,
- 3:29which our line stops here at this house,
- 3:33but homeowner Yes, another homeowner ran
- 3:36his own home own uh uh home down. This
- 3:41is where we stop at right here.
- 3:43>> So he ran his line to tie tie into your
- 3:46your tie into our line.
- 3:48>> Yeah.
- 3:49>> So y'all y'all probably put a meter at
- 3:51that point or something like that.
- 3:52>> Yeah. His meter is right up here.
- 3:54>> So that pretty much what where his meter
- 3:56is is where your line
- 3:57>> That's where we stop.
- 3:58>> Where you stop. Yeah.
- 3:59>> Yeah. And he responsible for everything.
- 4:01Yeah.
- 4:01>> On down to his house there.
- 4:04>> So I guess that that meter box you can
- 4:07use that as a cut off. Well, it it it a
- 4:09cut off too,
- 4:10>> right? And Yeah. And uh we just have
- 4:12>> for him.
- 4:13>> Yes. We just have a regular
- 4:17uh it's actually is two lines down here.
- 4:20>> Yeah.
- 4:21>> And uh and we uh we we have a cut off up
- 4:26at the edge of the uh Marson Road.
- 4:29>> Okay.
- 4:30>> And we cut it off, but it just cuts uh
- 4:33one of them off. So it seemed like the
- 4:35water still be flowing.
- 4:37>> Mhm. So that's something that we going
- 4:38to have to correct as well now.
- 4:41>> Right.
- 4:45Like I said, this line it it it uh and
- 4:49most of the time in this rural area
- 4:51>> Mhm.
- 4:51>> if it if it burst,
- 4:54the homeowners won't know it. Well, we
- 4:57won't know it unless homeowners say,
- 4:59"Hey, it's a lot of water know the side
- 5:01of the highway." Yeah. side of the road,
- 5:04which uh
- 5:05>> the county cut this part, don't they?
- 5:07>> Uh yes. Uh
- 5:09and uh we find out discover that we do
- 5:13have a leak. We'll come out and repair
- 5:14it. But uh it's uh
- 5:19this is another line that uh it's not in
- 5:22the best shape.
- 5:24>> Right. So I'm quite sure that they they
- 5:26have their own separate tank systems out
- 5:28here. They don't have them.
- 5:29>> Right. Right.
- 5:30>> You don't have no sewer,
- 5:31>> right? They don't they don't have any
- 5:32squeeze in just water.
- 5:35>> Yeah.
- 5:45>> Which if you know the town had a cut off
- 5:50on the main line
- 5:52>> that would be great.
- 5:52>> That would be great. That way we do have
- 5:54a problem we just cut it off
- 5:56>> cuz you don't have no cut off right now,
- 5:58right?
- 5:58>> Okay. Yeah, that would be that would be
- 6:01great if uh did have a car.
- 6:11Most where you see this pavement, broke,
- 6:14that's where the water leak is at
- 6:16because it's a partially at the edge of
- 6:19the uh at the edge of the road.
- 6:21>> Okay?
- 6:22>> And uh that's where we have to know uh
- 6:25dig at to get to it.
- 6:42So, so it's underneath the pavement at
- 6:43the edge of the road right there. Yeah.
- 6:52All those areas.
- 6:55And what this two inch line to come
- 6:57here, it actually
- 7:01>> 18.
- 7:01>> Okay.
- 7:02>> That intersection over there, then it
- 7:04crosses over.
- 7:05>> Now I wonder if we have an issue right
- 7:08here with his water.
- 7:09>> Yes, that's that's an issue. Now,
- 7:11>> then that that and that's from from uh
- 7:15your water line two. Yes, that two inch
- 7:18line.
- 7:18>> Yeah.
- 7:19>> Yes. That's that's that's an issue right
- 7:22there.
- 7:24in front of Dollar General
- 7:28and our line crosses over
- 7:31uh here
- 7:32>> to Lee Davis Circle.
- 7:34>> Lee David Circle. Okay.
- 7:35>> And then it uh it goes down 18 to the to
- 7:39the uh orange looking house brick house
- 7:42down there.
- 7:43>> So, are you having any issues on Lee
- 7:45Davis?
- 7:45>> Lee Davis? We have a we have a few
- 7:47issues on Lee Davis. Um, but it all
- 7:50extends mostly from the 2-in line that's
- 7:54coming out 18.
- 7:56>> Yeah.
- 7:56>> Uh, okay.
- 7:57>> And they'll lose water pressure down
- 7:59here quite a bit
- 8:02whenever whenever the line uh breaks.
- 8:05>> Okay. But no repairs on Lee Davis.
- 8:07>> Uh, we had we had a few, not many.
- 8:11>> We've had a few in Le Davis. Um,
- 8:18The main pan on Lee Davis is uh is the
- 8:22size of the pipe
- 8:24>> and uh because uh I think it's a 3/4
- 8:27>> 3/4.
- 8:28>> Yeah. 3/4 the serving the rest of the
- 8:30house gavanized.
- 8:32>> It's going to be that old PVC.
- 8:34>> Old PVC.
- 8:35>> Yeah. That thin wall PVC
- 8:37>> Lee Davis 3/4 old PVC. you know, is it's
- 8:42uh
- 8:43and this is where
- 8:46our line actually stops at that that
- 8:48trailer right there.
- 8:50>> Okay. On the right.
- 8:51>> Right. It stops there. But we service
- 8:54them houses on down there. They just run
- 8:56their line.
- 8:58>> So y'all do y'all doing the same same
- 9:00thing like y'all did on the other one.
- 9:01Uh wherever the meter box is, that's
- 9:03where you your service.
- 9:04>> Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. But if we
- 9:07have a problem here, we really can't cut
- 9:11the water off. Uh
- 9:13>> and I isolate this area.
- 9:15>> Isolate.
- 9:16>> Yeah. So definitely need a cut off valve
- 9:18at that intersection down there.
- 9:21>> Definitely. So
- 9:41hello
- 9:49I'm Lee Davis uh surfer
- 9:51What you got there?
- 9:56Mhm.
- 9:59Mhm.
- 10:03I
- 10:06uh Yes. I I sent it to you then.
- 10:10All right.
- 10:17Yeah. They they over here, especially
- 10:20the house over here, they they'll call
- 10:22up periodically saying, "Hey, I don't
- 10:23have any water pressure."
- 10:25>> Yeah.
- 10:25>> And when they when they don't have a
- 10:28water pressure,
- 10:29>> M
- 10:30>> 90% of the time is on 18 where they uh
- 10:33that pipe over there.
- 10:34>> Yes, sir.
- 10:35>> Because it feeds everything over here
- 10:37also.
- 10:38>> Right. So, you cut cut this uh if we put
- 10:40a valve here and cut that off, they
- 10:42won't have no water at all.
- 10:43>> Right. Right. But I I'm assuming that
- 10:46whether where you see see all this water
- 10:48right here is where you got a leak,
- 10:50>> right? And we and we uh Yes. And we we
- 10:54like I said mainly
- 10:56uh we have I think a couple of customers
- 10:59where old it's a old thin wall line
- 11:02going down 27.
- 11:03>> Yes sir.
- 11:04>> Uh that uh we have quite a few repairs
- 11:07of this it's PVC.
- 11:10>> Yeah.
- 11:11>> Okay. down to about, you know, where
- 11:13those houses at right behind them.
- 11:14>> That That's on 27.
- 11:16>> That's on 27.
- 11:17>> So, so we need to look at that, too.
- 11:18>> Yeah.
- 11:19>> On 27 going to How far it go down?
- 11:22>> Uh about a half a mile.
- 11:24>> Half a mile on 27. And that that line is
- 11:26>> Yeah, that's going to be a uh 2 in line.
- 11:29>> 2 in uh uh galvanized uh PVC 2 in PVC
- 11:35old 27.
- 11:36>> Mhm.
- 11:44Now here on the east main
- 11:47>> east main.
- 11:48>> Yes sir.
- 11:49>> We just repaired a leak this location.
- 11:53Uh the pipe is is PVC but it was just uh
- 11:57corroded under this pavement there. So
- 11:59we
- 12:00>> we uh
- 12:02that's an issue we have. And and from
- 12:05this point on down, um
- 12:09it's it's galvanized
- 12:12>> along with uh PVC.
- 12:14>> Okay. And that's one that we you we had
- 12:16put on our list back there. Yes, sir.
- 12:18>> Yes. Uh-huh.
- 12:30Which we have a leak right here right
- 12:32now. That grass is uh growing up right
- 12:34there.
- 12:34>> But that's a meter where the grass is.
- 12:38>> That's the main line. Two 2 in line.
- 12:40>> Okay.
- 12:56>> The old uh fire hydrant right there.
- 12:58>> Yeah.
- 13:00This what we just had it repaired.
- 13:04>> Okay.
- 13:04>> This is a galvanized 2-in line.
- 13:07>> Okay.
- 13:13>> This is East Street. This going to be
- 13:15Yes. East Street right here.
- 13:25Like I said, all of these pipes are
- 13:29on
- 13:31water. Like I said, we got a 4 in line
- 13:33on this side.
- 13:34>> Okay. On the right.
- 13:36>> Right. And a 2in line on the left side.
- 13:39>> Okay.
- 13:42>> You got all
- 13:44>> Yeah. You hadn't come through yet.
- 13:47All right. Check see
- 13:49you. All right.
- 13:55Uh, like I said, we just we just
- 13:58repaired that 4 inch line right here in
- 14:01this in this guy's yard
- 14:03>> right here.
- 14:04>> Right there.
- 14:05>> Okay, gotcha.
- 14:05>> Right there.
- 14:06>> Matter of fact, it probably been
- 14:08>> a 4 inch line.
- 14:09>> Uh, yes. 4 inch line. We probably what
- 14:11about four times uh within uh a year we
- 14:17had to visit it as 4 inch line. Okay.
- 14:21>> Um 2 inch line like I said on this side.
- 14:26>> And that is that whole street 4 inch
- 14:28line.
- 14:29>> Yes, that's 4 inch line.
- 14:32>> That east street, right?
- 14:33>> Right. We have a on this side. We got m
- 14:36two leaks. Uh on this side, 2in line.
- 14:40>> This road is
- 14:41>> this is going to be mixing street.
- 14:42Right.
- 14:43>> Mixing. Okay.
- 14:43>> Which you have that have that one down.
- 14:45>> Yeah. Mixing street. Okay. And seemed
- 14:48like this is really where the sewage
- 14:51problem starts in this location.
- 14:54>> Mhm.
- 14:54>> On down.
- 14:56>> This house right here.
- 14:57>> Mhm.
- 14:58>> This this house right here. Whenever we
- 15:00have uh uh torrential rain,
- 15:03>> uh matter of fact, one year her last
- 15:06year her house got flooded
- 15:08uh out with sewage
- 15:10>> and we just got this big rain uh last
- 15:14month.
- 15:14>> Yes, sir. Yeah, the sewage was same
- 15:16thing was happening as well.
- 15:20>> But like I said, from from that point
- 15:22back there on now, this is where we
- 15:24really start having the sewage problem.
- 15:26>> Okay.
- 15:33>> Matter of fact, uh right here in the
- 15:35street where there's a sinkhole where
- 15:37sewage should be coming from over here.
- 15:39>> Yes, sir. And uh actually washing just
- 15:42washing everything the street out
- 15:45>> and I have a man over here with this
- 15:48house right here having problems with
- 15:50his uh
- 15:51>> sewage.
- 15:52>> Okay.
- 15:59I said, uh, as I was saying before, the
- 16:02biggest problem with the sewage, I know,
- 16:05is when they closed that, uh, the, uh,
- 16:08South Lagoon down.
- 16:09>> Okay. So, that that that that little
- 16:12bridge right there, that's for
- 16:14>> we just had that put in to uh get to
- 16:16that
- 16:16>> to be able to get to those manho.
- 16:18>> Those manholes. Okay.
- 16:19>> Manhoes go uh all the way to uh that uh
- 16:24first uh south uh North View Street. M
- 16:27>> down that area,
- 16:28>> right?
- 16:29>> That's where those uh manholes, they
- 16:32lead up to that area.
- 16:33>> Who who put the bridge in for you?
- 16:35>> Uh it was a company that put it in. Uh
- 16:37>> okay.
- 16:38>> That had a project or something. They
- 16:40put that in.
- 16:40>> Okay.
- 16:41>> Uhhuh.
- 16:44>> Cuz you know the county, you know, that
- 16:45like when they replace a lot of those
- 16:47bridges, they have those uh bridge
- 16:49slabs.
- 16:50>> Uhhuh.
- 16:51I don't know if they ever, you know,
- 16:53y'all ever talked to them about that.
- 16:54>> They uh I think the town been talking
- 16:57with them and that's something that they
- 16:59need to definitely utilize.
- 17:01>> Yeah.
- 17:02>> Of course.
- 17:04>> But uh down here with the with the water
- 17:06with the fire hydrants.
- 17:07>> Yes, sir.
- 17:07>> I think some of them down here don't
- 17:09work.
- 17:10>> Okay. Okay.
- 17:11>> Like I said, Lisa should have a list.
- 17:13>> Okay. All right.
- 17:14>> The ones that not working.
- 17:19That's why that grass up so high right
- 17:21there right over there.
- 17:23>> Got you.
- 17:43Then
- 17:51I know the the uh on our manholes
- 17:56>> which I show you uh right here what's
- 17:59going on as well.
- 18:00>> I think uh water is uh is coming down
- 18:04the fire.
- 18:17like this location right here.
- 18:19>> Mhm.
- 18:19>> See, water is uh channeling down from
- 18:22the side of this manhole right here,
- 18:25>> which is going somewhere.
- 18:26>> Yeah.
- 18:27>> And that's another I don't know. I don't
- 18:29know if it is is it there's a breach in
- 18:31the line and a lot of uh fresh water
- 18:34when it rains going in there,
- 18:36>> right? But you can see where it's uh
- 18:38caving in there beside that manhole.
- 18:41>> Okay.
- 18:48>> A matter of fact, we just fixed the
- 18:50water leak right here.
- 18:52>> That same 4 inch line,
- 18:53>> right?
- 18:54>> So you having sewage and water?
- 18:56>> Yes.
- 18:57>> Water down there.
- 18:58>> Yeah.
- 19:05All right.
- 19:10>> I said that 4 that 4 in line especially
- 19:12on this side. It probably was put down
- 19:16back in the I'm going say in the 60s
- 19:19early 60s.
- 19:19>> Oh
- 19:22yeah.
- 19:36And that's that's uh a lot of the main
- 19:40areas.
- 19:41>> Mhm.
- 19:41>> Let me let me tell this guy.
- 20:04Y'all got the town looking good though,
- 20:06I tell you, man.
- 20:07>> Yeah, we uh I'm serious. We've been
- 20:08trying to work on it there, you know.
- 20:10>> Looking good.
- 20:10>> But I I always tell them though, uh if
- 20:13they want to see the town go to another
- 20:15level, you know, give us give me some
- 20:18more help,
- 20:19>> right?
- 20:19>> And give me the the supplies and the
- 20:22equipment to work with,
- 20:23>> right? And uh you can you transform this
- 20:26town to even look.
- 20:28>> Ain't it see like you know everybody
- 20:30keeping the yards up pretty good and
- 20:31stuff like that. That makes a difference
- 20:33too.
- 20:33>> Yes indeed.
- 20:33>> Yeah.
- 20:34>> Yes indeed.
- 20:37>> But like you said aging utilities and
- 20:40stuff like that.
- 20:41>> You know you know I know it's it's it's
- 20:43expensive to replace all it but Exactly.
- 20:45>> that what you need. Yeah.
- 20:46>> Exactly. Like see right there. I don't
- 20:49know if you can see it. That's a cut off
- 20:50right there.
- 20:51>> Yeah. I see it. I see it. Bam. And then
- 20:53uh over here where those uh gas uh uh
- 20:57indicators at.
- 20:58>> Yes, sir.
- 20:58>> We have another uh uh valve cut off
- 21:01right there for the water.
- 21:04>> Uh are they working?
- 21:05>> Uh this one works, but I don't know
- 21:07about this one right here.
- 21:08>> Okay.
- 21:09>> I know that that other one right there
- 21:11works. That's about one of the only ones
- 21:13in town that works.
- 21:15>> Okay.
- 21:23Just trying to see if we can cover. I
- 21:25think we covered all of the uh the areas
- 21:29here.
- 21:30>> No problem.

- 21:35everything out and kind of, you know,
- 21:37talk about what we talked about and give
- 21:39it back to you and so that you can kind
- 21:41of look at it and and um add to it or,
- 21:44you know, tell us anything else that we
- 21:46need to adjust to it or whatever and
- 21:49stuff like that.

- 22:07>> Pow Street.
- 22:08>> Pile Street. Uh-huh.
- 22:10>> Yeah.
- 22:10>> Yeah. That's that's an area where we
- 22:12sewage where we have it a huge problem.
- 22:15>> Okay. You you know what's that line on
- 22:17that on that street? Pile Street.
- 22:19>> It's uh power level. I mean it's a 6 in.
- 22:21>> 6 in. Okay.
- 22:22>> Almost all of them will be 6 in then.
- 22:24>> Okay.
- 22:26except for our our big uh some our other
- 22:30big main lines that uh that uh eight 8
- 22:35in there. But uh
- 22:37>> um I know it's uh
- 22:41it's an area we have to find it. But
- 22:43it's uh it's an area that's uh water is
- 22:49it's just fresh water. I know it's not
- 22:51uh it's running water and I know it's
- 22:53have to be a a a breaking in a line
- 22:56somewhere,
- 22:57>> right? And it's hard
- 23:12>> the street. This street is
- 23:14>> This is Elm Street right here.

- 24:37>> this is uh this is fresh water that's
- 24:40coming from somewhere, which we got to
- 24:43try to find out. Uh is it a pipe burst
- 24:46somewhere? Cuz it's it's we uh we don't

- 25:20>> Yeah.
- 25:20>> On it. See, we don't know. It's uh we
- 25:23got to try to find out what where the
- 25:25water is coming from, but it's somewhere
- 25:27where it's leaking at.
- 25:28>> Okay. Okay.
- 25:29>> If we find that out, I I will get you
