- 0:00Hey everyone, it's Morgan and today I am
- 0:03taking you guys to Subway. I am going to
- 0:06be going with my mom today and we will
- 0:08be showing you what we are ordering,
- 0:09what the food looks and tastes like and
- 0:12having a conversation with the staff and
- 0:14as well as my mom and we will just be
- 0:16describing everything. And we hope you
- 0:19guys enjoy it. So stay tuned. McKenna is
- 0:22beautiful and full of a lot of trees. It
- 0:25has so much scenery and it is pretty
- 0:28crowded. There's a lot of traffic that
- 0:30goes through this road. And this is also
- 0:35one of my favorite roads to drive on
- 0:38just because it is so peaceful sometimes
- 0:41when there's not a lot of cars and I
- 0:43just love driving through all of these
- 0:45trees.
- 0:47Sometimes I wish McKenna had a little
- 0:49bit more nature and more fields, more
- 0:53trees, but this is what we've got in our
- 0:56area and I love it. Here is my dog Thor
- 1:01in the back seat and I'm just having a
- 1:03conversation with him because I love to
- 1:06talk to my dog. My sister is also in the
- 1:09car with us and we are heading to get
- 1:11him a papuccino.
- 1:14He looks so cute in this video. He's
- 1:16trying to get out the window, but he
- 1:20loves car rides and papuccinos.
- 1:23>> Um, can you order me a strawberry
- 1:26refresher, please?
- 1:27>> Yes. What size?
- 1:28>> Hi, this is Papa. This is Can I get you
- 1:30something to eat today?
- 1:31>> Um, no, thank you.
- 1:33>> Can I get a tall strawberry refresher,
- 1:35please?
- 1:36>> Coconut milk, please.
- 1:37>> A coconut milk, please.
- 1:39>> And also a pup cup.
- 1:41>> Pup cup. Not a problem. Anything else?
- 1:43>> That's it. Thank you.
- 1:44>> Okay. It will be at 536.
- 1:46>> Okay.
- 1:47>> And here you go. Do you want a
- 1:49>> Thank you.
- 1:50>> Do you want a straw? Okay, got you.
- 1:52>> He's excited to eat his pup cup.
- 1:55>> I know. It's hard on the cup.
- 1:59A pup cup has whipped cream in it and
- 2:02that is it. And it's healthier for dogs
- 2:06than
- 2:08>> you would think it would be.
- 2:11Thor is relaxing.
- 2:13>> Say hi.
- 2:16He's such a good boy.
- 2:20>> So this is our dog Thor. He is a
- 2:22Doberman and he's about 8 years old.
- 2:26Yeah. And he's got some gray hairs
- 2:28growing in. So that's how you know he's
- 2:29getting old. But he's our favorite in
- 2:32the family. We have three of them. But
- 2:34he's the sweetest one. And he's smiling.
- 2:39So this is one of my favorite spots to
- 2:41come sit and do school at. Um I never
- 2:44really sit outside just cuz it gets so
- 2:46hot. But what I got from Starbucks is
- 2:48called a pink drink and it's got coconut
- 2:51milk in it and then some strawberry
- 2:53puree. um, strawberry refresher. So,
- 2:56it's really good. It's really light and
- 2:58I think it always tastes better with
- 3:00coconut milk rather than the water,
- 3:05but it's refreshing and it's very sweet
- 3:09and there are some like little
- 3:10strawberry seeds in it that sometimes
- 3:12get stuck in my teeth, so I don't like
- 3:14that. But other than that, this is such
- 3:16a refreshing drink from Starbucks.
- 3:19So, we made it to Subway and here is the
- 3:22outside. The Subway sign is green and
- 3:25yellow. And typically, all the Subways
- 3:28look the same.
- 3:31Here's the inside of Subway. And as you
- 3:33can see, there is some seating in here
- 3:35and also the menu that I will be showing
- 3:37you.
- 3:40This is the Subway menu. And it was kind
- 3:43of hard to film because the menu is
- 3:45spread out throughout the entire store.
- 3:51And there's just so much that you can
- 3:53get from Subway.
- 3:56Okay, I'll do a salad. Um I'll Yeah,
- 3:59let's do a salad.
- 4:02Um we'll do lettuce,
- 4:06please. some spinach and tomatoes,
- 4:13cucumbers,
- 4:18and
- 4:20what's a good like dressing for salad?
- 4:24>> It's normally the oil and vinegar.
- 4:26>> Okay, that's perfect. We'll do oil and
- 4:28vinegar. Yes, please.
- 4:32That's healthy. That sounds like a
- 4:34healthy choice.
- 4:38Thank you.
- 4:40>> Um, yeah, let's put some cheese on it.
- 4:45>> I'll do provolone, please.
- 4:50>> Yum.
- 4:53>> I'm sorry. I'm having a hard time
- 4:54deciding. There's so many choices.
- 4:57>> Um,
- 4:58>> you have a beautiful smile.
- 5:00>> You have really good teeth.
- 5:02>> You do have a very pretty smile.
- 5:09Okay. Can I please do the Titan turkey
- 5:13number 15?
- 5:16And I have
- 5:18>> Where are my bread choices? Ooh, Italian
- 5:20herbs and cheese bread, please.
- 5:22>> And would that be a 6 in or
- 5:24>> Yes, a 6 in.
- 5:28Oh, they got new chips.
- 5:31Yum.
- 5:36And can you leave off the onions?
- 5:39>> Yes.
- 5:41>> Would you like a provolone cheese or
- 5:42would you like another
- 5:44>> proolone cheese is perfect.
- 5:47>> And would you like the toasty?
- 5:48>> No, thank you.
- 5:52>> That's some good bread. Looks good.
- 5:54>> Is that the kind of bread you got?
- 5:56>> No, I got a salad.
- 5:58>> Oh, you got a salad. You can have some
- 6:00of my sandwich.
- 6:01>> Okay.
- 6:03Would you also put some spinach on it,
- 6:05please?
- 6:08Got to have my iron.
- 6:18And can I do pickles, too?
- 6:21>> Yes.
- 6:25And then what what sauce should I put on
- 6:28it? Do you think oil and vinegar or
- 6:30should I do peppercorn ranch? What's
- 6:33better?
- 6:36>> If it was your sandwich, which would you
- 6:38choose?
- 6:38>> I would choose ranch.
- 6:39>> Okay, I'll do the ranch.
- 6:42And then a little salt and pepper.
- 6:45>> Is that enough or you want?
- 6:46>> That's perfect.
- 6:49>> That looks amazing. You're going to be
- 6:51jealous. You're going to wish you got a
- 6:52sandwich.
- 6:55>> Would you like anything else?
- 6:57>> Um, that's everything. Do you want
- 6:59anything else, babe? I think that is it.
- 7:01>> Do you want a drink?
- 7:04Yeah, we'll do uh one drink. Okay. Yes,
- 7:06please. One drink.
- 7:08>> And you said a medium drink, correct?
- 7:09>> Yes, please.
- 7:10>> $50.
- 7:11[Music]
- 7:16>> This will be$1805.
- 7:18>> Thank you.
- 7:23money goes towards
- 7:28you like a receipt.
- 7:29>> Yes, please.
- 7:31So, this is my salad. Um, I built a
- 7:35salad and it's got provolone cheese,
- 7:37tomatoes,
- 7:39cucumbers,
- 7:40um, and then celery is on the bottom.
- 7:44But I will mix it up and show you. I got
- 7:48the Turkey Titan sandwich. It's got the
- 7:51Italian urban cheese bread and then
- 7:53inside pepperc corn dressing, pickles,
- 7:57lettuce, spinach. There's some tomatoes
- 7:59down there and then turkey and proolone
- 8:02cheese. And then he sprinkled some salt
- 8:05and pepper on it. And it looks
- 8:07delicious.
- 8:12Okay, so now we're going to try it. This
- 8:14is what it looks like mixed up. It looks
- 8:16the same.
- 8:19Um, they ran out of forks, so I'm eating
- 8:21it with a spoon.
- 8:23[Music]
- 8:27>> Salad with a spoon.
- 8:31It's very light and refreshing. Um, I
- 8:35like the earthy green taste. It's got
- 8:39what is it? Salt. Uh, vinegar and oil.
- 8:42>> Oil dressing. And I love vinegar
- 8:45dressing. I think it makes everything
- 8:46taste so much better.
- 8:48But then the cheese adds a bit of taste
- 8:51to it. I don't know how to explain the
- 8:52taste of cheese, but
- 8:55>> I would heavenly. So good.
- 9:03>> Mhm.
- 9:06Is it everything you dreamed it would
- 9:08be?
- 9:08>> It's a salad. Your turn.
- 9:11>> Okay. Mine looks so much better than
- 9:13yours. I feel bad for you.
- 9:21M.
- 9:22>> Mhm.
- 9:24>> The bread looks very fluffy.
- 9:29>> The bread is so good. The bread is
- 9:32really soft. It looks like it could be
- 9:34crispy and hard, but it's super soft,
- 9:36super easy to chew. The tomatoes and the
- 9:38spinach are really good. Um, they're
- 9:41juicy. the the pepperc corn ranch
- 9:45dressing that he suggested so good.
- 9:48That's what makes the sandwich. And then
- 9:49I have the same cheese as you. I have
- 9:51the provolone
- 9:52>> and the turkey.
- 9:54>> To be honest, I can barely taste the
- 9:55turkey because of all the other flavors,
- 9:58but it is really good. Do you want to
- 10:00try a bite of mine?
- 10:01>> Mhm.
- 10:01>> You're going to be
- 10:04>> with a spoon.
- 10:05>> With a spoon.
- 10:10>> M.
- 10:12Yours is very salty.
- 10:14>> Mhm.
- 10:15>> Mhm.
- 10:16>> M.
- 10:17>> Going from something so light to very
- 10:20flavorful is like completely different.
- 10:23Yours is like
- 10:26>> good
- 10:26>> a lot, but it's really good. I like the
- 10:28bread. You're right. It is very squishy.
- 10:30>> Mhm.
- 10:33>> This is surprisingly better than I
- 10:35thought it was going to be. Tomatoes are
- 10:37really good.
- 10:38>> Mhm. They're juicy.
- 10:39>> Mhm.
- 10:43And the lettuce is also very watery or
- 10:46like how would you describe that? Very
- 10:49juicy, I guess.
- 10:52>> Crunchy.
- 10:53>> Crunchy.
- 10:54And I love cucumbers. They're so
- 10:56refreshing. Um,
- 10:59a seven out of 10. But I'm a picky salad
- 11:02eater.
- 11:04>> I would give this eight out of 10. Mhm.
- 11:09>> It's really good.
- 11:10It's just maybe not my favorite sandwich
- 11:13I've ever gotten.
- 11:14>> Yeah.
- 11:15>> You know who makes good sandwiches?
- 11:17>> Pickleman's. Pickleman's restaurant
- 11:19makes good sandwiches.
- 11:21>> Pickleman's.
- 11:21>> Mhm.
- 11:22>> They do.
- 11:24>> Mhm.
- 11:28>> What are your plans this weekend?
- 11:30>> H.
- 11:37So, taking care of you cuz I know you're
- 11:41going to be needing some care. And then
- 11:43Sunday, I'm going to Chalk Casino to
- 11:47take Grandpa to gamble with the slot
- 11:50machines because that is his favorite
- 11:52thing in the world to do
- 11:53>> for his birthday.
- 11:54>> For his birthday.
- 11:55>> Yep.
- 11:56>> Yes. He likes to gamble away my
- 11:58inheritance.
- 12:00>> That's That's funny.
- 12:02>> But he often wins.
- 12:04>> Mhm.
- 12:13So,
- 12:15what are your plans?
- 12:18>> Well,
- 12:19I'll probably be watching TV.
- 12:22Um, doing some back to school prep. I
- 12:25have to get everything ready for classes
- 12:27that start up cuz I'm going to be
- 12:29full-time in college.
- 12:32>> So, I'll be busy. I think my schedule's
- 12:34like 8:00 a.m. to 2:15
- 12:39most every day except Fridays, but I'll
- 12:43be busy. And then I'm also trying to get
- 12:45an online job.
- 12:50>> Yeah, that's important. You need a
- 12:53little income, huh?
- 12:54>> Mhm.
- 12:54>> But I'm excited for back to school
- 12:56shopping. If you're paying for it,
- 13:01>> I will help you pay for it.
- 13:04So, you mostly just need notebooks,
- 13:07folders.
- 13:08>> Mhm.
- 13:09>> You don't need clothes or anything.
- 13:11>> Well, I don't need clothes.
- 13:14>> You might want clothes, but you don't
- 13:16really need them, right?
- 13:17>> I might need them.
- 13:20>> You better get that online job.
- 13:23Here's
- 13:26the receipt. And as you can see, the
- 13:28total is
- 13:301667. I tipped 15% and 15%
- 13:37would be I'm not sure how much it would
- 13:39be. It does not show. Oh, tip $2.70
- 13:43is 15% of this total. And tax was $1.38.
- 13:49So, that makes the total of this
- 13:542075.
- 13:57So, today I took you guys to Subway and
- 14:00showed you what the food looked and
- 14:02tasted like and had a conversation with
- 14:03my mom. I hope you guys enjoyed this
- 14:06video and got some useful information
- 14:08out of it. And my mom and I are really
- 14:10looking forward to taking a trip to
- 14:12Tokyo. My whole family will hopefully be
- 14:14there. And I hope that you guys can give
- 14:16us some input and some advice on where
- 14:18to go and the things to do. Thank you
- 14:21guys so much for watching. I really hope
- 14:22you enjoyed this video. This is a Kaiwa.
- 14:26Hey guys, it's Morgan and today I am
- 14:30getting ready to take off and go to
- 14:327-Eleven to show you guys what the
- 14:34inside looks like and give you a little
- 14:36bit of a tour. I will also be talking as
- 14:38much as I can. And I will be eating some
- 14:41of the food and drinks and describing
- 14:43them as we go along. And I really hope
- 14:46you guys enjoy this video and can learn
- 14:47some English. and I can't wait to bring
- 14:50you guys along. And my mom is also going
- 14:52to join. So, let's go. Our first stop is
- 14:56the McKenna Clubhouse and Stonebridge
- 15:00Ranch Clubhouse. You can call it
- 15:02whatever you want to call it. We're in
- 15:03the city of McKenna, but here it is.
- 15:05It's a beautiful building. This is a
- 15:07golf course. A lot of people come here
- 15:09to golf, but they also come here just to
- 15:11eat the food because they have a little
- 15:13kitchen inside and it's like bar foods.
- 15:15They'll have like finger foods. It's a
- 15:17really nice area to relax. The sun is
- 15:20always out and there's always things to
- 15:21do at a clubhouse and people to meet.
- 15:23So, my family doesn't ever come to the
- 15:26clubhouse here, but we plan to
- 15:28eventually. And maybe someday I will be
- 15:30able to show you guys the inside of it.
- 15:31But, as you can see around the area,
- 15:33there's lots of trees and lots of
- 15:35nature. And then we are going to see if
- 15:37we can get back to the golf course side
- 15:39to show you guys.
- 15:42This is the clubhouse on the golf
- 15:45course. And as you can see, there's a
- 15:47beautiful entrance. It's very grand and
- 15:50there's a lot of trees around with lots
- 15:52of grass.
- 15:54And over here to the side, you can see
- 15:56some construction happening. They also
- 15:59have a little pool area right over here.
- 16:04And then the golf course. This is just
- 16:06one of the sections of the golf course
- 16:08right here, but it's a beautiful open
- 16:11green field.
- 16:16And as you can see, we are driving on
- 16:19the right hand side of the road.
- 16:22And there is also another golf course to
- 16:26the right of me. And there it is.
- 16:31But as you can see, there's just a lot
- 16:32of trees and a lot of green grass.
- 16:36And all of McKenna pretty much looks
- 16:38like this. And there are lots of
- 16:40residents living in these houses.
- 16:46We have made it to 7Eleven. As you can
- 16:49see, there's a gas pump and a gas
- 16:51station building. Gas is $3.80,
- 16:55which is pretty low for today. And we
- 16:58will pull into the parking lot
- 17:02and show you guys the front of it.
- 17:05We are at 71 right now. It's kind of
- 17:08windy outside, but this is 7-Eleven. the
- 17:12building. The gas station is not the
- 17:14same as the 7-Eleven. This is an Exxon
- 17:17gas station pump. And this is the 711
- 17:22food gas station
- 17:25building.
- 17:27Here is our 71 in the US. And it might
- 17:30look a little different from the
- 17:327-Elevens you're used to in Japan. And
- 17:34they have big wide windows and lots of
- 17:37cameras inside because people like to
- 17:39steal gas stations. Um, here it is in
- 17:42this building. And then they always have
- 17:44an ice machine right outside.
- 17:59The 7-Elevens in the US are probably a
- 18:01lot different from the 7-Elevens in
- 18:03Japan, but here's what they look like
- 18:06for the most part. This is the wine
- 18:08aisle and the alcohol aisle. That's why
- 18:10my mom is in it.
- 18:13They have some hats.
- 18:16>> Souvenirs.
- 18:17>> Souvenirs.
- 18:19And they have a few aisles. Here's all
- 18:22of the refrigerated stuff. And then they
- 18:25have a few aisles that we will go
- 18:27through and show you some of the stuff
- 18:29in.
- 18:31So, this aisle has household items,
- 18:33energy shots, and a lot of toiletries.
- 18:35This is where you can get a lot of your
- 18:37medicines. And if you need anything for
- 18:39your house, they have like laundry
- 18:41detergent, deodorant, toilet paper, all
- 18:44kinds of stuff.
- 18:48Hi guys. So, this is the snack aisle. If
- 18:50you want candy, if you want gum, if you
- 18:53want lifesavers, chips, beef jerky,
- 18:56cookies, anything you could think of,
- 18:58snack attack. This is the aisle that
- 19:00we're going to be spending most of the
- 19:01time in today.
- 19:03>> This is another aisle with some snacks
- 19:06and
- 19:07healthier options, I think. So, some
- 19:10sauces. I don't think that man wanted to
- 19:13be in this video. There's some chips.
- 19:17Some canned chips with sauce.
- 19:19>> There's condiments.
- 19:20>> We have condiments. Yes, we have some
- 19:23healthier options. Actually, they're not
- 19:25very healthy, but
- 19:28it's more filling food than candy. We
- 19:30have some bars
- 19:35and some heatable meals right here. Some
- 19:38Top Ramen, some mac and cheese, some
- 19:40soups. These are the healthier options.
- 19:43We have some protein bars. This is where
- 19:45I would spend most of my money in a gas
- 19:48station because I like to work out a lot
- 19:50and after I work out, I eat protein
- 19:51bars. There are some more protein bars,
- 19:54some bar options. Here are the
- 19:57unhealthier options. Here's like the
- 19:59donuts and the pastries, which all they
- 20:02look so good. And then we have some of
- 20:03the cakes and muffins.
- 20:06[Music]
- 20:08I'm here with Darius. He is the manager
- 20:09at 7-Eleven. I have a question for you.
- 20:12>> Yes, ma'am.
- 20:12>> First off, what is your favorite snack
- 20:14in this gas station?
- 20:15>> The favorite snack is actually the
- 20:16homemade Rice Krispie treats. I eat them
- 20:18all the time, all day, every day.
- 20:20>> Awesome. And then what how how many
- 20:22hours are you open?
- 20:23>> I'm open 24/7. 3657. Awesome.
- 20:26>> Mhm. Thank you.
- 20:28>> Oh, no problem.
- 20:29>> Is the most important part of 7-Eleven
- 20:31in my opinion, the coffee section. And
- 20:34we have the creamers, the sugar, straws,
- 20:37and they have the different types of
- 20:39coffee that you can get. This one's
- 20:40hazel, nut, and they have a breakfast
- 20:43blend coffee.
- 20:45I'm not really sure how to do it because
- 20:47I've never gotten myself my own coffee.
- 20:48My mom usually does that for me. But
- 20:50they also have these syrups that you can
- 20:52put in your coffee to sweeten it and add
- 20:54more flavor.
- 20:56Here are the refrigerated items, which
- 20:59are the quick items at 7-Eleven. They
- 21:01have some cheese, some pickles. I've
- 21:03never even heard of spicy hot pickles,
- 21:06but they have also a lot of their sodas
- 21:09and some of the fruits that are in the
- 21:12fruit cups, which are fresh daily.
- 21:14I'm getting a small slushie. And they
- 21:17have a few flavors to choose from. They
- 21:20have a blue raspberry, wild cherry,
- 21:22chili mango, which seems spicy, a dragon
- 21:25fruit, a Dr. Pepper, and a Coca-Cola.
- 21:28I'll probably You're not supposed to do
- 21:31this, but I'm going to taste test.
- 21:38That's actually pretty good.
- 21:40>> Which one was that?
- 21:41>> That's the dragon fruit, but I'm
- 21:42probably going to mix
- 21:44>> dragon fruit and wild cherry. They look
- 21:47like they're not even frozen.
- 21:50They're half frozen cuz it's early in
- 21:53the morning.
- 21:54>> Oh.
- 21:56So, I have to get all of this one. That
- 21:57one's not frozen yet. Look at how
- 22:00beautiful.
- 22:05Okay, now we put a lid on it.
- 22:15Pretty sure you were supposed to put the
- 22:16lid on first. I think you put the lid on
- 22:19and then fill it through the little hole
- 22:22in the top. Do you want to fill it more?
- 22:24>> That's okay.
- 22:26And then there's a difference between
- 22:28the regular straws and the slushy
- 22:30straws. The slushie straws have a little
- 22:33spoon looking thing that you can like
- 22:35scoop up and eat with it. I don't ever
- 22:37use it.
- 22:39So, here's my slushie.
- 22:41This is a refrigerator with the frozen
- 22:43snacks. There are popsicles and ice
- 22:46cream. Um, looks like there's some kinds
- 22:48of frozen Snickers ice cream and Oreo
- 22:51ice cream. Delicious.
- 22:54Okay, here is the cake aisle. What are
- 22:57you thinking you're going to get?
- 23:00I don't know.
- 23:02>> Yes,
- 23:02>> we grew up on Twinkies.
- 23:04>> Please grab some Twinkies.
- 23:06>> I like Twinkies.
- 23:08>> What about cupcakes? Do you like the
- 23:11cupcakes?
- 23:12>> Grab the chocolate cupcakes.
- 23:14>> You want a chocolate cupcake?
- 23:17No, actually they don't look that good
- 23:18to me. Let's not do the cupcakes.
- 23:21>> Okay.
- 23:23>> What are our other options here?
- 23:27>> Croissants are always really good.
- 23:32>> Okay. Do you like those? I don't like
- 23:33those, but if you like them,
- 23:34>> I don't know if I like them.
- 23:35>> Oh, what about honey buns? Honey buns
- 23:38are really good.
- 23:39>> Honey buns are so good.
- 23:41>> Do you see any honey buns?
- 23:43They have
- 23:46donuts.
- 23:48Honey buns.
- 23:49>> Honey buns.
- 23:51>> And it's in a little honey.
- 23:52>> Yum. Yeah. Let's get one of those.
- 23:54>> Those are really good. They stay fresh
- 23:56in those packages for so long.
- 23:58>> Only about 1,000 calories each.
- 24:01>> Yeah.
- 24:03I think since
- 24:05Darius was raving about the Rice Krispie
- 24:08treats, we should probably try a Rice
- 24:09Krispie treat.
- 24:10>> I agree. Let's get Darius's favorite
- 24:12treat,
- 24:14>> which is this. That's a giant Rice
- 24:18Krispie treat.
- 24:19>> That is probably the biggest Rice
- 24:20Krispie treat I've ever seen.
- 24:21>> Size.
- 24:24>> We had to get a basket because there's
- 24:26going to be a lot of stuff in this
- 24:28basket.
- 24:29>> Um, here's some of the healthier stuff.
- 24:31I'm probably going to get a protein bar
- 24:34because I'm working out tonight and I'll
- 24:36eat it after my workout. I like the
- 24:38protein cookies, but for a change, I'm
- 24:41going to try
- 24:45this Quest birthday cake one. Or should
- 24:49I do the chocolate chip cookie dough?
- 24:51>> Oh, they're probably both good.
- 24:54>> Let me try the birthday cake cuz I love
- 24:56birthday cake flavors. So, we're going
- 24:58to try this.
- 24:59>> That looks good.
- 25:02>> And that's all for this aisle right now.
- 25:04We might come back. I take back the
- 25:07coffee part. The ice cream is the best
- 25:09part of 7-Eleven, and we're going to
- 25:11come back to that last so the ice cream
- 25:13doesn't melt by the time we're done
- 25:14getting our other snacks.
- 25:18Also, this was the dragon fruit drink,
- 25:20as you saw.
- 25:22>> It's
- 25:23It's okay. It kind of tastes like grape
- 25:27and it's purple, too, which is
- 25:29interesting. So, maybe it's secretly
- 25:31grape flavored, but they label it as
- 25:33dragon fruit.
- 25:38But I also don't really know what dragon
- 25:39fruit tastes like.
- 25:42So here we have a lot of the alcohols
- 25:45that adults will consume. Over here is
- 25:48the energy drink section plus all of the
- 25:50other drinks. And typically for me I get
- 25:53energy drinks every morning which is
- 25:55really bad for you. But I either get Red
- 25:58Bulls which are really good energy drink
- 26:00or I get the Monsters. So let's pick out
- 26:03a couple.
- 26:05I'm a sucker for the packaging. So,
- 26:07anytime the color is really pretty, I
- 26:08usually go for that drink. But with the
- 26:11Red Bull, I really like the Juneberry
- 26:13flavor, and that is this blue one right
- 26:15here, which is so good. I don't know
- 26:18what Juneberry is cuz I've never
- 26:20actually had the berry, but it kind of
- 26:22tastes like raspberries, which is a
- 26:24really good flavor. And then they also
- 26:26have a bunch of different flavors. Every
- 26:27color is a different flavor. And the
- 26:30silver and blue ones are their original
- 26:33flavors.
- 26:37I am going for a Power Aid. This aisle,
- 26:41how do you even choose? There are so
- 26:42many options. So, they have Gatorades,
- 26:45they have body armors, they have more
- 26:48Gatorades,
- 26:50and I think this one looks good.
- 26:54This is
- 26:56I don't have my glasses on. Oh, it's
- 26:58strawberry. We're going to give the
- 27:00strawberry Gatorade a try. See what we
- 27:01think.
- 27:04Okay, back in the candy aisle. What are
- 27:06you going to get?
- 27:08>> This is tough because I'm picky with
- 27:10candy. I like sour candy, so I think
- 27:13I'll get a sour candy first, which I
- 27:16really like the Sour Patch Kids
- 27:18watermelon. These are my one of my
- 27:21favorites. I think every time I go to
- 27:22the movie theater, I get these.
- 27:25And then as far as chocolate goes,
- 27:29I'm not a huge chocolate lover, but I do
- 27:31love milk duds. So, I'm going to look
- 27:33for milk duds. Oh, right here. These are
- 27:36so good. They're chocolate and caramel.
- 27:39>> Yum. I like those, too.
- 27:41>> And how many should I get?
- 27:43>> I don't know. Get whatever you want. Is
- 27:45there anything else you want?
- 27:47Um, maybe I'll get
- 27:54>> decisions, decisions.
- 27:58>> Maybe I'll get a gum for after.
- 28:01>> Actually, we should do an experiment
- 28:03with the Mentos.
- 28:04>> No, we're not going to blow anything up.
- 28:07>> The Mentos, you take mint. Mentos, the
- 28:10mint, and you put it in Coke or anything
- 28:14fizzy, a soda, a fizzy soda, and you
- 28:17drop a few in and then shake the bottle
- 28:19and it shoots everywhere.
- 28:24Um,
- 28:26I'm definitely going to get some gum. I
- 28:28love bubble gum. That's so basic, but
- 28:32pink bubble gum is so good.
- 28:34>> I like that, too.
- 28:35>> And I think as of right now, that's all
- 28:37I want.
- 28:39They don't have any sweet tarts. They
- 28:42have Skittles. They have Starburst. They
- 28:45have Mentos.
- 28:47Oh, hot tamali's. She loves hot tamalies
- 28:50every night. These are my favorite. The
- 28:53only problem is they come two ways. They
- 28:55come like this in a box and they also
- 28:57come in a bag. These in the box, they're
- 29:00not sealed very well, so they're really
- 29:02hard to chew sometimes. Okay, I'm going
- 29:05to get these. What else am I going to
- 29:06get? I was thinking, oh, I am going to
- 29:09get Tic Tacs.
- 29:12>> She loves Tic Tacs.
- 29:14>> But only this flavor. This is the fruit
- 29:18adventure flavor. Zero calorie, guys.
- 29:22Yep, you heard that right. Guiltfree
- 29:25candy. So, yes, those are going in my
- 29:28basket.
- 29:29>> It's like Christmas.
- 29:30>> This is like Christmas. And I'm going to
- 29:32get gum, but I like this kind.
- 29:36I like these little cube pieces of gum.
- 29:40Do you guys have these in Japan? I don't
- 29:42know. They're cube instead of the long
- 29:45pieces of gum.
- 29:46>> The strips of gum.
- 29:47>> They're so good. So, I'm going to get
- 29:49these two. This is Babe. What flavor is
- 29:52this?
- 29:53>> That is raspberry sorbet.
- 29:54>> Raspberry sorbet. Sounds delicious.
- 29:59So, my mom and I don't really like the
- 30:01same snacks typically, but we're going
- 30:03to try to agree on something because
- 30:05these bags are bigger. So, what is
- 30:07something that we both would like? I
- 30:10know you like Checkex Mix, right?
- 30:12>> M.
- 30:13>> No, not really.
- 30:15>> Okay. And you don't like popcorn?
- 30:18>> No, not really. What do you like?
- 30:20>> I like the Cheezits.
- 30:22>> Cheezits are pretty good. I like
- 30:24Cheezits.
- 30:24>> We have some of those at home, too.
- 30:26>> Yeah, we do have those at home.
- 30:27>> I prefer
- 30:28Classic or double cheese?
- 30:31>> Double cheese.
- 30:31>> Double cheese all the way.
- 30:32>> Get one of these.
- 30:34>> Okay.
- 30:34>> And then veggie straws are so good.
- 30:37These are the 7-Eleven brand, actually,
- 30:40which
- 30:41>> Let's try them. I like veggie straws,
- 30:42and I feel less guilty eating those
- 30:44because they don't have as much sugar.
- 30:46>> Gluten-free, vegan, and they're 30% less
- 30:49fat. So, we're going to try this.
- 30:51>> Let's do it.
- 30:54Sea salt caramel thins.
- 30:58[Music]
- 31:00So, in Texas, Blue Bell ice cream is a
- 31:04brand that is huge. Like, it's known in
- 31:07Texas. I don't like Blue Bell, so I
- 31:09stick with the Ben & Jerry's. I'm going
- 31:11to get the cookie chocolate chip cookie
- 31:14dough. That's my favorite flavor.
- 31:18Is there one that you want, Mom?
- 31:20>> Uh, I don't think I want any ice cream.
- 31:22I think I am going to stick with my hot
- 31:24tamali's. Uh, I don't like cookie dough.
- 31:27>> Oh,
- 31:29>> it's all yours.
- 31:34>> We are going to check out. We got this
- 31:36giant bag of junk food.
- 31:39[Music]
- 31:41>> It's really heavy.
- 31:42>> It's like a an arm workout right now.
- 31:44>> There you go. Hey guys, it's Morgan.
- 31:47Welcome back. Today we are going to be
- 31:48going to Outback Steakhouse. I'll be
- 31:50going with my mom and we are going to be
- 31:52showing you what the food looks and
- 31:54tastes like as well as having a friendly
- 31:56conversation with our server and I'm
- 31:58excited for this video cuz I love
- 32:00Outback. So, let's get into it. Here we
- 32:03are pulling up to Outback right now and
- 32:05as you can see it's pretty empty.
- 32:07There's not a lot of people here but
- 32:09there is a lot of empty parking spots.
- 32:13Okay, here we are at Outback. It's a
- 32:15little loud outside because of all the
- 32:16traffic and it's windy. But this is what
- 32:19Outback looks like and it's a
- 32:21steakhouse. They have benches outside so
- 32:24the overflow of people can sit in these
- 32:28seats and wait to be seated. Inside is
- 32:30really nice and we'll show you guys in a
- 32:31second. Here is the inside of Outback
- 32:35and it is super cute. It's decorated for
- 32:38Christmas. They have little hats on the
- 32:40chairs as well as little things hanging
- 32:43from the ceiling. little snowflakes and
- 32:46a mini tree.
- 32:48Here is the menu at Outback. They have a
- 32:51lot of options on these menus. And most
- 32:54of it is chicken and steak. They have a
- 32:58variety of drinks that you can choose
- 32:59from. Here's the steak side. You get to
- 33:02pick what kind of steak you want. They
- 33:05have some burgers, some pasta, just a
- 33:09bigger variety of stuff to choose from.
- 33:11And of course, the dessert. That looks
- 33:13so yummy.
- 33:15Have you looked at the menu?
- 33:17>> Not yet. But we have some bread with
- 33:21butter.
- 33:23But I don't like that bread because it's
- 33:25brown. It's um
- 33:28>> like the wheat one. It's healthier,
- 33:29right?
- 33:30>> Supposedly,
- 33:32but it's not my favorite. I like the
- 33:34sourdough white bread better.
- 33:35>> Me, too. But it's still good.
- 33:37>> Yeah. Well, cuz I know you're starving.
- 33:39>> Mhm.
- 33:40They have a lot of lemonades. Strawberry
- 33:43lemonade. Kiwi strawberry lemonade.
- 33:44>> I'm going to do strawberry lemonade.
- 33:46>> That's probably pretty good.
- 33:48>> That sounds really good. I don't even
- 33:49know what I want to eat.
- 33:50>> Neither. There's so many choices.
- 33:53Seasonal menu
- 33:55because Christmas is in two days, right?
- 33:58>> Mhm.
- 33:59>> Tomorrow is Christmas Eve.
- 34:02I don't know what I want. I know. The
- 34:03Outback menu is so big.
- 34:06Oh, remember we ran into this problem
- 34:08last time we ate here? We didn't know
- 34:09how to order because all the different
- 34:12steaks have different names.
- 34:13>> Oh, yeah. That's why I'm probably not
- 34:16going to get a steak. I'm thinking
- 34:20>> that looks so good.
- 34:22>> A blooming fried chicken.
- 34:23>> Fried chicken.
- 34:25>> Yeah, that does look good.
- 34:28>> Yeah, grilled chicken.
- 34:31That does not sound very good.
- 34:33>> I know.
- 34:36>> You could eat that at home.
- 34:39Or maybe I should do lobster.
- 34:43>> Oh,
- 34:44>> the lobster tails.
- 34:46I don't know.
- 34:46>> That would probably be really good.
- 34:48Maybe you should do that.
- 34:49>> Or should I do salmon?
- 34:53>> All right, you go first, babe. What are
- 34:54you having?
- 34:54>> I will start with the lobster tail,
- 34:57please.
- 34:58>> We're all out. I hate them.
- 35:02>> I'll do Yeah, I'll do the rice and
- 35:03broccoli, please.
- 35:05>> Perfect.
- 35:06>> How about for you? Can I do the chibi
- 35:08chimmy chur fillet? Um, is medium pink
- 35:12all the way through? Yes.
- 35:13>> Okay, perfect. I'll do medium. I love
- 35:16the holy loaded baked potato. What's an
- 35:18option besides broccoli?
- 35:20>> Oo, salad. Can I do a salad with ranch
- 35:22and all? What is it called?
- 35:25>> Palmer.
- 35:25>> Yes, that. Thank you.
- 35:27>> You're welcome.
- 35:28>> You know what? Do you have coffee
- 35:29brewing by chance?
- 35:31>> Can I have a coffee with cream and
- 35:32sugar?
- 35:33>> Yes.
- 35:34>> It's so cloudy. It is
- 35:37>> back here.
- 35:38>> It looks like it's going to rain.
- 35:40>> I actually think it is supposed to rain
- 35:42tomorrow.
- 35:42>> Oh, is it?
- 35:43>> We've had a lot of rain lately.
- 35:46>> Yeah, right now it should be winter,
- 35:49>> but it's technically fall because the
- 35:52leaves are just now falling off the
- 35:54trees and the weather is starting to
- 35:56just now get cold. So, Texas is a little
- 35:58behind.
- 35:59>> I know. Last week it was 70° in
- 36:02December.
- 36:03>> That's crazy.
- 36:05So, I ordered an Arnold Palmer, which is
- 36:08half lemonade, half tea. Sweet tea, I
- 36:11think.
- 36:12>> And
- 36:15you wish any better. I spent six grand
- 36:17on my car.
- 36:17>> That's good. It's sour. That's good. And
- 36:20I ordered coffee.
- 36:22>> Transmission's going to blow on it. I'm
- 36:23not tire.
- 36:26>> That's funny.
- 36:27>> That is funny.
- 36:29>> So, now that I have a lap full of
- 36:31coffee,
- 36:34Yum.
- 36:36>> It dripped in your
- 36:37>> salad. It dripped in my salad. And so
- 36:39here's my salad. It's got tomatoes,
- 36:42croutons, cucumbers,
- 36:45lettuce. It has onions on there, which
- 36:48I'll pick off cuz I don't like onions. I
- 36:49forgot those came on it. And cheese.
- 36:51I'll let you know how it is.
- 36:53>> And ranch.
- 36:54>> And ranch. I need more sugar in my
- 36:56coffee, too.
- 36:58the lighting. The sun just got really
- 37:01sun like comes out and then goes behind
- 37:02a cloud.
- 37:06Okay, now my salad.
- 37:14Try a bite. The salad is really good.
- 37:17The lettuce is fresh. The dressing is
- 37:20really good. It It's almost a spicy
- 37:23ranch. Like there's a lot of pepper in
- 37:25it. Like pepperc corn maybe.
- 37:28M.
- 37:29>> That is really good lettuce.
- 37:30>> Mhm.
- 37:33>> That ranch is so good.
- 37:34>> Isn't that good ranch?
- 37:36>> Very creamy.
- 37:37>> Mhm. And then a cucumber.
- 37:41>> The tomato was fresh.
- 37:46>> It's a good salad.
- 37:48>> Outback makes really good salads.
- 37:55>> Yeah. Good. Right. I should have gotten
- 37:57one of these.
- 37:57>> Here, you can have this. I'm not going
- 37:58to eat it all.
- 37:59>> I'll I'll share it.
- 38:01>> Okay.
- 38:01>> Couple bites and I'll be good.
- 38:04>> That's so good.
- 38:07>> It's um crunchy lettuce. Like
- 38:11>> I don't know. It's like juicy. Yes. But
- 38:15not too wet.
- 38:16>> Yeah. It's a It's a good iceberg.
- 38:19>> Yeah.
- 38:19>> Yeah.
- 38:20>> Which I don't usually like icebergs a
- 38:23lot. I like romaine lettuce better,
- 38:26>> but this is pretty good.
- 38:27>> I like this lettuce the best.
- 38:31>> Now it looks like it's about to rain.
- 38:34It's pretty windy today.
- 38:37>> Mhm. The wind was blowing really hard
- 38:40when we walked in. That's why our hair
- 38:41was all messy.
- 38:43>> Yeah.
- 38:44>> And it's supposed to get really cold the
- 38:46week after New Year's.
- 38:48>> Really?
- 38:48>> Yes. They're saying it might be a freeze
- 38:50again. But I'll believe it when I see it
- 38:53cuz
- 38:54>> yeah,
- 38:54>> who knows?
- 38:55>> Texas freezes are awful. You can't do
- 38:59anything. It's not like a fun snowy cold
- 39:02winter. It's like the roads ice over and
- 39:05you can't leave your house. You can't
- 39:07get groceries. You can't do anything.
- 39:10What was it four years ago in the
- 39:13freeze? It froze all of our pipes solid.
- 39:16We had no We didn't just have no hot
- 39:18water. We had no water. So, and there
- 39:21was Oh, and the power went out.
- 39:22>> The power went out and it was rolling
- 39:23black out. So,
- 39:24>> we had we literally had no power and no
- 39:27water for a week. So, the power would
- 39:29roll on. It'd be on for 15 minutes and
- 39:32then it'd be off for 3 hours. So, we
- 39:34were in bed rolled up in blankets.
- 39:37>> It was freezing. And then when the power
- 39:39would come on, we'd have to run to the
- 39:40kitchen, light the stove, cook something
- 39:42to eat really fast.
- 39:43>> It was horrible.
- 39:44>> Yeah. We had to fill the bathtubs up
- 39:46with water to prep for the the freeze.
- 39:49It was the water we used to do dishes,
- 39:51to water our plants.
- 39:53>> Yeah.
- 39:54>> To wash our hands.
- 39:56>> It was awful.
- 39:58>> Hopefully that does not happen again.
- 40:00>> So now anytime when the news says
- 40:01there's a freeze coming, we all panic.
- 40:03>> Everyone goes, they rush to the grocery
- 40:04store
- 40:06>> and buy water.
- 40:07>> Yeah,
- 40:08>> those look amazing.
- 40:10>> We got some lobster rice and broccoli.
- 40:12Thank you for hot.
- 40:14>> Yum.
- 40:15>> Okay, this this place kind of warm.
- 40:17>> Okay. Thank you so much. Appreciate it.
- 40:19>> Thank you. No, you're good.
- 40:20>> Thank you.
- 40:21>> When somebody has time, I'll have more
- 40:23coffee, but no hurry at all.
- 40:25>> Thank you.
- 40:26>> Thank you.
- 40:27>> Okay, here's the food. I've got lobster
- 40:31out of the shell and there's some butter
- 40:34to dip the lobster in. I have some fresh
- 40:36broccoli and some kind of rice. I'm not
- 40:39sure what it is, but it looks like
- 40:40there's pepper and tomatoes in it.
- 40:46And mine is a steak fillet, chimmy chura
- 40:50fillet. And this is the fillet cooked
- 40:53medium over here. This is uh some kind
- 40:56of chimmy chura sauce. I'll let you know
- 40:58how that is. It looks amazing. And then
- 41:01this is some sort of fried carrot over
- 41:03here. And then a fully loaded baked
- 41:05potato. And Outback makes really good
- 41:08baked potatoes because they salt the
- 41:10outside of them and they look amazing.
- 41:14You want to go first? Try yours. Try
- 41:16your lobster.
- 41:16>> Yes. I'm starting with the rice.
- 41:19Save the best for last.
- 41:22>> It's hot. I can see the smoke coming off
- 41:25of it.
- 41:31>> Good.
- 41:32>> It tastes like brown rice with
- 41:35Well, really, it only tastes like brown
- 41:37rice, but there's little tomatoes in it.
- 41:38I just can't taste them.
- 41:42>> Is it good? Mhm. It's really good.
- 41:44>> Looks hot.
- 41:47It tastes a little like Spanish rice.
- 41:50It's good though. It's really good.
- 41:52>> I have some fresh broccoli. Broccoli
- 41:54tastes like broccoli. I don't really
- 41:55know how to describe a broccoli.
- 41:58It's fresh but salty.
- 42:01>> Is it butter?
- 42:04>> No. No. I don't like broccoli.
- 42:06>> Okay.
- 42:08It's really good. And then
- 42:10>> Oh, now digging those lobster tails. I
- 42:12don't even know how to eat this.
- 42:15>> Do you want me to cut it off the shell
- 42:16for you?
- 42:17>> Yeah.
- 42:18>> Oh,
- 42:19>> watch.
- 42:21>> Yeah, just use your hands.
- 42:22>> I don't know how to do it.
- 42:23>> I'm just going to cut your tail off your
- 42:26>> shell. Is that working?
- 42:27>> This is the lobster. I didn't know it
- 42:30looked like that.
- 42:31>> Shell.
- 42:33>> Dip it in some butter.
- 42:35Yum.
- 42:38M.
- 42:39>> Is this so good?
- 42:44Wow.
- 42:52>> Oh,
- 42:52>> it's juicy and flavorful and it's salty
- 42:57and it just tastes like seafood. Like it
- 43:00was pulled right out of the ocean.
- 43:02>> That is good.
- 43:03>> And the butter the butter makes it taste
- 43:05just
- 43:07>> heavenly.
- 43:08>> Heavenly.
- 43:11Mhm.
- 43:13>> Your turn.
- 43:14>> What do you rate yours?
- 43:18>> Nine out of 10. It's a little hard to
- 43:20chew. It could be softer, but I don't
- 43:23know how it's supposed to.
- 43:25>> Yeah, you don't order lobster very
- 43:26often. I was kind of surprised when you
- 43:28ordered it.
- 43:28>> Yeah, it tastes so good.
- 43:30>> But it's so good. Okay, I'm going to try
- 43:31mine. I'm going to start with the little
- 43:35fillet medallions.
- 43:38I'm cutting it.
- 43:41It's It's a little more medium well than
- 43:44it is medium, but that's okay. So, it's
- 43:48got some of the um looks like maybe a
- 43:51verde type of sauce on it.
- 43:53>> Cilantro, right?
- 43:56[Music]
- 43:59>> Mhm.
- 44:04>> Is it good? It's really good. good. I
- 44:06took too big of a bite. It's really
- 44:08good. It's really heavily seasoned, so
- 44:11it tastes like steak.
- 44:13I don't know how to even describe it. It
- 44:16tastes like a vinegarette. It's really
- 44:18good. I only am a little disappointed
- 44:20because it's cooked a little more than I
- 44:21like it. Yes. You're anxious to try it.
- 44:25>> It's good, isn't it?
- 44:28It tastes like cilantro lime
- 44:31steak.
- 44:32>> Yeah. Mhm.
- 44:33>> Yeah.
- 44:36Oh, you're awesome. Thank you so much.
- 44:39That's perfect.
- 44:40>> Thank you.
- 44:42>> Had to get a refill on the coffee that I
- 44:43spilled.
- 44:48>> Don't lie. You just drank all the
- 44:49coffee. You wanted more.
- 44:51>> That's
- 44:55okay. So, I've got to try these carrots
- 44:57because they look really good. I'm going
- 45:00to pour this little bit of
- 45:04I'm not going to tip it this time, but
- 45:05this is like a chim chura sauce. I'm
- 45:07pouring it in my carrots.
- 45:09>> It's a lot of sauce.
- 45:11>> Yeah, but it smells so good.
- 45:13>> Yeah.
- 45:14>> Okay. And let me try these carrots.
- 45:18>> Kind of hard to Okay, this is just going
- 45:20to be messy. It's just the way it's
- 45:21going to be.
- 45:26[Music]
- 45:27>> Is it good?
- 45:28>> M.
- 45:30Mhm.
- 45:32>> Is this the stomach
- 45:35>> and the little legs?
- 45:37>> I don't know. Maybe.
- 45:39>> It's so sad.
- 45:40>> I know. But it's so good.
- 45:45>> This is a good song.
- 45:47>> I like country music. You don't like
- 45:48country, do you?
- 45:50>> I do not like country at all. But how
- 45:53can you not like this song?
- 45:55I don't like country.
- 45:58I don't love Texas because it's all
- 46:00country.
- 46:01>> No, it's not.
- 46:04>> That is not true.
- 46:05>> I'm very city girl.
- 46:09>> We have a huge city here. We have a lot
- 46:12of huge
- 46:12>> but we don't live in the big city.
- 46:15>> We live in the suburbs of a big city.
- 46:17>> You wouldn't I don't think you want to
- 46:18live in the actual city.
- 46:20>> Mhm.
- 46:21>> Well, maybe you would. Okay. Baked
- 46:23potato is delicious. It's got bacon.
- 46:25It's got chives, butter, cheese, melted,
- 46:28salty deliciousness.
- 46:34>> Good.
- 46:34>> Mhm.
- 46:36>> Nine out of 10. It would have been a 10
- 46:38out of 10 if my steak was cooked medium
- 46:41instead of medium well.
- 46:44>> Um Oh, dessert. Dessert. We got to do
- 46:46dessert. Do you want to do that?
- 46:49>> Chocolate tower.
- 46:50>> Chocolate tower. Okay. Chocolate tower.
- 46:53>> I don't love chocolate. Let me see.
- 46:55>> There's also this one or should we do
- 46:57this one?
- 46:58>> Which one do you think we're going to
- 46:59pick?
- 47:00>> That one or that one? This is I think
- 47:03chocolate and peanut butter and caramel.
- 47:04And that's just chocolate.
- 47:07>> Neither.
- 47:08>> I'm not really like I like ice cream.
- 47:11I'm just I I'm an ice cream girl. I
- 47:13could eat it for breakfast, lunch,
- 47:14dinner, all day, every day. Look, they
- 47:18have Is that what I think it is? A
- 47:20salted caramel cookie skillet. Okay,
- 47:23let's do that. Yes.
- 47:24>> So, we're not doing either of the
- 47:25pictures.
- 47:27>> Um, I think we're going to do the salted
- 47:29caramel cookie skillet. Is that a good
- 47:31choice?
- 47:31>> Yes.
- 47:32>> Okay.
- 47:34>> I'm just using my hands. You like that?
- 47:37>> It's your food.
- 47:38>> Super salty.
- 47:40>> These You're not supposed to take these
- 47:42home. They put them in little to- go
- 47:44Tupperware.
- 47:45>> Oops.
- 47:46>> I know.
- 47:46>> I bet it happens all the time.
- 47:48>> It probably does.
- 47:50>> Okay. Do you want to put your rice or
- 47:51anything in there?
- 47:53Okay.
- 47:55>> Right here we have the salted caramel
- 47:58cookie
- 48:00something. What is it called, Mom?
- 48:01>> Uh, skillet. Salted caramel cookie
- 48:03skillet.
- 48:04>> Yes. That is a big scoop of ice cream.
- 48:06And I will eat all the ice cream and you
- 48:08can have the entire cookie.
- 48:09>> Oh, it's drizzled with caramel. Yum.
- 48:12>> What is this?
- 48:13>> Uh,
- 48:15I'm not
- 48:17>> I think it's basil. I don't know. Just
- 48:19It's decoration. Do you want to eat it?
- 48:20>> Yes, I want to eat it. You try the first
- 48:22bite.
- 48:22>> Okay. Don't have to ask me twice.
- 48:27Oh, it's messy.
- 48:32>> Is it good?
- 48:33>> No, you won't like it.
- 48:36Try that.
- 48:38>> That's a big scoop of ice cream.
- 48:41[Music]
- 48:44>> All right.
- 48:45>> This is so good.
- 48:46>> It is good.
- 48:47>> Yes.
- 48:50>> How do you like it? Mhm.
- 48:51>> Yeah.
- 48:51>> All right. So, I can take a nap.
- 48:52>> No.
- 48:53>> No.
- 48:54>> I don't know how this is not your
- 48:56favorite.
- 48:56>> I know.
- 48:59>> Vanilla ice cream. Really good.
- 49:02>> But what makes this good is this sugar
- 49:05cookie. It's a sugar cookie. It's not
- 49:08cooked all the way through, so it's soft
- 49:10in the middle. When you eat the ice
- 49:12cream and the cookie together, so good.
- 49:14It melts in your mouth. I have a sweet
- 49:16tooth. Mhm.
- 49:19I like the ice cream better.
- 49:22>> I like the cookie better.
- 49:23>> I'm an ice cream girl.
- 49:25>> But I wouldn't want the cookie without
- 49:26the ice cream, would it?
- 49:27>> Yeah. And I wouldn't want Well, I would
- 49:30want the ice cream without the cookie.
- 49:33>> There's no way we're going to finish
- 49:34this giant cookie. I just want the
- 49:36middle where it's soft. Um, I would give
- 49:40this a nine out of 10. Me, too.
- 49:45>> Why not that 10 out of 10?
- 49:48It's really good. It's not my like
- 49:50absolute favorite dessert in the world,
- 49:52but it's really good.
- 49:54>> Mhm. Mhm.
- 49:56>> Leave in the comments what flavored
- 49:58cookie and ice cream you guys like.
- 50:02>> Okay, now I kind of feel like I felt
- 50:05after our 7-Eleven video where we had so
- 50:07much sugar that we almost had a diabetic
- 50:10seizure.
- 50:11>> Yes. Not literally, but felt like we
- 50:14were going to. We didn't. We were fine.
- 50:17But I don't think I ate sugar again for
- 50:18like 3 days.
- 50:19>> So much. We ate all of that stuff from
- 50:217-Eleven.
- 50:22>> If you haven't seen that video, you need
- 50:24to find it because I think we spent
- 50:27what, like $50 on snacks and junk food,
- 50:30maybe even more.
- 50:31>> And then we ate it all.
- 50:33>> We ate it all like that day.
- 50:37>> Like we probably gained like 10 lbs in
- 50:40the video. And then we were sick all
- 50:42night. But we didn't regret it. And I do
- 50:45it again.
- 50:47So, here's the check I paid because I'm
- 50:50mom and I always pay. Um, the total
- 50:53was8568
- 50:55and then there were the choices of
- 50:56gratuitity 18 20 or 22%. Dylan was
- 51:00awesome. So, we left him 22%. They do
- 51:03things a little different out back. They
- 51:05have you enter it directly in a machine
- 51:07instead of writing the tip in. So, that
- 51:10was our receipt. Total was 10453.
- 51:15I hope you guys enjoyed this video and I
- 51:17hope you learned a little bit more about
- 51:19Outback and how we order some food in
- 51:21English. And I hope you enjoyed the
- 51:23conversation my mom and I had as well.
- 51:25Thank you guys so much for watching.
- 51:27Make sure you comment your dessert, your
- 51:29ice cream, and your favorite cookie
- 51:31flavor in the comments. And thank you so
- 51:33much for watching. Bye. This is a Kaiwa.
- 51:37Hey guys, it's Morgan. Welcome back. We
- 51:39are in Florida right now. My sister and
- 51:41I are going to go to Publix and we're
- 51:42going to show you around the grocery
- 51:44store, some of the things we're going to
- 51:45buy, and then we're also going to be
- 51:46trying some of the food. So, stay tuned.
- 51:49And I'm super excited for this video.
- 51:51So, let's get straight into it.
- 51:56Aubrey and I are getting groceries right
- 51:57now. And we have our cart. We're not
- 52:00really sure what all we're going to get,
- 52:02but we'll figure it out. We're starting
- 52:05in the unhealthy section. We're going to
- 52:07get a treat.
- 52:09Possibly some donuts.
- 52:12Yum.
- 52:14Those are probably really good. What
- 52:15kind do you want?
- 52:16>> The pink ones.
- 52:16>> Pink ones.
- 52:17>> Those are cute.
- 52:19>> Mini yeast donuts.
- 52:20>> Mini yeast.
- 52:23>> Those are probably good actually. They
- 52:25are filled with marshmallow cream.
- 52:27>> Oh yeah.
- 52:29>> No.
- 52:29>> No.
- 52:30>> Okay. We decided to get chocolate petite
- 52:32bun cakes. Yummy.
- 52:37So, we decided to get a little fruit cup
- 52:40with some grapes and strawberries and
- 52:42blueberries. We think it'd be good to
- 52:44eat on the beach. I decided to get green
- 52:47juice and Aubry's going to get this
- 52:48fruit mix.
- 52:50So, the grocery store has an issue cuz
- 52:54this whatever this is is full of the
- 52:57chips. This is completely empty.
- 53:02There's nothing in it and it's sealed
- 53:03shut. Yeah. But we're going to try these
- 53:08black pepper. Yes. All right. We're
- 53:10going to get some bananas. Yummy. Yes.
- 53:14For breakfast. Yes. We just found
- 53:17something. And we might switch the
- 53:19dessert cuz that looks so good. Yum.
- 53:22Yum. So, we're going to get some flowers
- 53:25for the family that we're staying with.
- 53:27They're friends and they're kind enough
- 53:30to let us stay at their house for a
- 53:32week. Yeah,
- 53:32>> we're trying to pick out the cereals and
- 53:34I think we're going to go with Honey Nut
- 53:36Cheerios over honey bunches of oats.
- 53:41>> We are getting almond milk
- 53:44>> for our cereal.
- 53:45>> Unsweetened vanilla. Yes.
- 53:47>> Perfect.
- 53:48>> Yeah, do those. Oh,
- 53:50>> get the Should we
- 53:52>> the buttered ones? Do they have those?
- 53:55>> Sourdough. Yum. Okay, we're getting some
- 53:59pretzel sticks for the beach. Yum.
- 54:02These wheat thins are Star Wars themed
- 54:04and I can't say no. So, I'm going to get
- 54:05some of these. So, crazy. We ended up
- 54:09switching out our Oh, right here. our
- 54:13pretzels for these pretzels because
- 54:14these are a lot better.
- 54:17Aubrey just said her favorite candy is
- 54:19Almond Joy. Those are like the worst
- 54:21candies.
- 54:22>> They're so good.
- 54:24>> Lightly salted.
- 54:25>> Yeah, lightly salted. They're doing a
- 54:27buy one get one free, so we get to pick
- 54:30two things out. You should get a drink.
- 54:32>> I'm probably going to get an ice drink.
- 54:34These are really good.
- 54:36>> Most of them have no sugar in them. That
- 54:39one's Starburst. I'm going to try this.
- 54:41Yeah. Here we go. Protein shakes.
- 54:44Protein. They don't have the one that I
- 54:46get though. The vanilla one.
- 54:50We're definitely going to have to get a
- 54:51couple of these. Yeah, cuz I plan to
- 54:53work out. I don't know about you. Oh, I
- 54:55need to I need to work out. I found
- 54:58these Hershey's zero sugar candies. I've
- 55:01never seen these in my life. We're going
- 55:03to try them because I want to see if
- 55:05they're actually good or not.
- 55:08Uh we're going to get some dairyfree
- 55:10yogurt. This is the Chobani zero sugar
- 55:13toasted coconut vanilla yogurt.
- 55:15>> Yum. That sounds so good. Actually,
- 55:17>> where they have the mixed berry.
- 55:19>> Let's do the vanilla. Yeah.
- 55:22>> We're looking for some breakfast food
- 55:23right now. And we're thinking frozen
- 55:26meals to heat up. Just something quick
- 55:27and easy.
- 55:30>> So, we are going to go get some eggs
- 55:31because that's a good healthy breakfast
- 55:34option for us. Especially since
- 55:36everything else that we got is not very
- 55:37healthy.
- 55:38>> Not very healthy. So, yeah. I would get
- 55:41the queso chips. Spicy queso.
- 55:44>> We're going to try these cuz they're
- 55:45protein. Yummy.
- 55:48Okay. Yum. One's pretzel, one is just
- 55:51regular bread stick.
- 55:53>> I think the pretzel might be good with
- 55:55the pretzels. So, let's get this.
- 55:57>> I vote this one.
- 55:59>> Yum. Which one do you want more? Do you
- 56:01want chocolate chip or blueberries and
- 56:03cream?
- 56:04>> Ooh, chocolate chip.
- 56:05>> Chocolate chip. All right.
- 56:06>> Yeah,
- 56:08>> we are getting What is it? Chocolate
- 56:10chip oatmeal with protein.
- 56:12>> Yummy.
- 56:14>> I kind of want to try the salted caramel
- 56:16almond. Okay, try that one.
- 56:19>> Yum. Wait, these only have 5 g of
- 56:21protein. Okay, wait. We need something
- 56:22with more protein. Let's see. The
- 56:26protein one bars down here have 10 g.
- 56:32Which one is this?
- 56:33>> We could try. They're keto friendly
- 56:35ones. We can try those.
- 56:36>> There's chocolate chip. They also have
- 56:38peanut butter and strawberries. I know
- 56:40you like strawberry.
- 56:43>> Wait, do you want to get both?
- 56:44>> We should do the strawberry. Yeah, we
- 56:45can do both. Why not like strawberry?
- 56:48Let's do that.
- 56:49>> Okay.
- 56:51All right.
- 57:07That was a success. We spent about $107
- 57:10and we got some pretty good groceries
- 57:13for the week that will hopefully last.
- 57:16We'll try them later.
- 57:17>> Yes. This is the outside of Publix. It's
- 57:20actually a really nice grocery store.
- 57:21She's ducking. Um, we are finished
- 57:25shopping here and we're probably going
- 57:27to go home and eat the food, but Publix
- 57:29is actually a lot bigger inside than I
- 57:31thought. Really nice grocery store.
- 57:34Okay, so we're going to start trying
- 57:36stuff. We're going to start with the
- 57:37wheat fins. The Star Wars Star Wars.
- 57:41>> I know you don't like these, but yeah,
- 57:43these aren't my favorite.
- 57:49I think they taste like cardboard, but
- 57:52they just taste like wheat crackers.
- 57:55Just healthy crackers. And they're
- 57:57somewhat sweet, too.
- 57:59Aubrey, you pick what's next. Now, we
- 58:01should try something not healthy. And
- 58:05we're going to try the Hershey's Zero
- 58:06Sugar Candies.
- 58:08>> Yum. I'm actually so excited to try
- 58:11these cuz too
- 58:12>> just take the other half.
- 58:13>> Yeah. Okay.
- 58:16What if they're terrible? Oh, they're
- 58:18just one piece. I'll just take a bite.
- 58:20So, they look like the normal Hershey's.
- 58:31They taste exactly like the
- 58:32>> It literally tastes just like a regular
- 58:34Hershey's.
- 58:35>> Yeah. Pretty good though.
- 58:38>> You can kind of taste Well, there's a
- 58:40little bit of a different taste, but but
- 58:43it's still really really sweet. Yeah,
- 58:46>> maybe more sweet.
- 58:48>> Okay,
- 58:52>> these harvest snaps. They are the black
- 58:55pepper. They're baked green peas. That
- 58:59doesn't sound good, but they're really
- 59:00good. They actually are really, really
- 59:02good.
- 59:08[Music]
- 59:15Yeah, it's really good.
- 59:17>> It's going to be a good beach snack.
- 59:19>> Mhm.
- 59:20>> So good.
- 59:24>> Oh, yeah.
- 59:25>> It's so good.
- 59:27>> Okay.
- 59:27>> Also, we have not unpacked yet. Ignore.
- 59:31It's a bit of a mess. Ooh, this is the
- 59:34one I'm most excited for is the
- 59:36chocolate bun cakes.
- 59:39Yeah,
- 59:40we're going to split one of these. I
- 59:43won't be able to eat a whole one. Okay,
- 59:46I'm still
- 59:49I think the strawberry would have been
- 59:51better, but
- 59:53I'll settle for chocolate.
- 1:00:03It's so good.
- 1:00:04>> No. Yes, it is.
- 1:00:08>> It's got like a chocolate filling in the
- 1:00:10middle. Kind of just tastes like a
- 1:00:12chocolate donut. I think it's really
- 1:00:14good.
- 1:00:15>> I'm not a big fan of I just don't like
- 1:00:17chocolate like that.
- 1:00:20>> I'd rather have gotten a strawberry.
- 1:00:24It's okay.
- 1:00:26I need to cleanse my mouth now.
- 1:00:29>> I'm going to be trying.
- 1:00:31Oh, it's sugarfree.
- 1:00:33It's watermelon flavored
- 1:00:37and it's carbonated.
- 1:00:45Her phone is vibrating.
- 1:00:48>> Is it cold?
- 1:00:49>> No.
- 1:00:49>> Oh.
- 1:00:53>> Oh.
- 1:00:57>> I don't like watermelon.
- 1:00:58>> I don't either. I thought it would taste
- 1:01:00better, but it literally
- 1:01:03doesn't taste like watermelon. It tastes
- 1:01:04like watermelon flavor.
- 1:01:07I don't know. It's really sweet. It's
- 1:01:09just not for me.
- 1:01:12>> Yeah.
- 1:01:13>> Okay, we have two more things to try.
- 1:01:15>> Okay, grab the pretzels.
- 1:01:24>> Everything pretzels. Everything bagel
- 1:01:26seasoned pretzels. These are really
- 1:01:28good. Yum. These are always a good just
- 1:01:31like beach snack.
- 1:01:35Thank you.
- 1:01:37It's got the seasoning on there. They
- 1:01:39smell really good, too.
- 1:01:43[Music]
- 1:01:47Those these with hummus would be really
- 1:01:49good.
- 1:01:51That's so good, dude. I could eat all of
- 1:01:53those right now.
- 1:01:54>> Yeah.
- 1:01:56Yum.
- 1:01:57Yum. That's going to be my favorite
- 1:01:58snack of all of these probably.
- 1:02:03M. It's so salty. Okay, the last snack.
- 1:02:12There we go. The last snack we have are
- 1:02:15these bars. Aubrey and I are just going
- 1:02:16to split one cuz we've eaten so much
- 1:02:19already.
- 1:02:20>> Yeah. These are strawberry protein bars.
- 1:02:25Oh, they're so tiny. Okay.
- 1:02:3090 calories in a bar.
- 1:02:33Chewy.
- 1:02:38They smell like fake strawberry.
- 1:02:44It literally tastes like I'm chewing
- 1:02:48clay.
- 1:02:52>> It's not bad.
- 1:02:55>> You don't like it?
- 1:02:57No,
- 1:02:58>> I don't like strawberry flavored things.
- 1:03:04>> I can't tell if I like it. It's kind of
- 1:03:06bland. Like, it doesn't have a lot of
- 1:03:07flavor, but you can taste the
- 1:03:08strawberries a little bit.
- 1:03:10>> Mhm. And it's chewy.
- 1:03:16>> Okay.
- 1:03:16>> So, that's it for today.
- 1:03:19>> What was your favorite thing?
- 1:03:23>> Pretzels. mine or the black pepper.
- 1:03:27Thank you guys so much for watching us
- 1:03:29go to Publix. My sister and I really had
- 1:03:32a good time picking out some of the food
- 1:03:33and trying them and explaining what they
- 1:03:36tasted like. We hope you guys really
- 1:03:38enjoyed this video. I enjoyed Florida so
- 1:03:40much. We had so much fun there. So,
- 1:03:43thank you guys so much for watching. And
- 1:03:44this is E Kaiwa. Hey guys, it's Morgan
- 1:03:48and today I'm going to be taking you to
- 1:03:50a Cajun seafood place called Rockfish
- 1:03:54and we're going to show you what the
- 1:03:56food looks and tastes like, how to order
- 1:03:57in English, and just have a friendly
- 1:03:59conversation with the staff. So, let's
- 1:04:01go. Okay, so here we are at Waters
- 1:04:04Creek, and this is one of our favorite
- 1:04:06places to come picnic because they have
- 1:04:08a beautiful green area and a lot of
- 1:04:11shopping around with lots of food. So,
- 1:04:12let's show you.
- 1:04:33Now I've got regular menu here. Lunch.
- 1:04:35Your specials are on the back.
- 1:04:36>> Perfect.
- 1:04:37>> Okay. What would y'all like to drink?
- 1:04:38Some water, tea, coke.
- 1:04:41>> I will start with the tea, please.
- 1:04:42>> Sweet or unsweet?
- 1:04:43>> Sweet, please.
- 1:04:43>> Sweet. Any lemon or lime or just the
- 1:04:45tea?
- 1:04:45>> Uh, just just the tea is fine. Okay,
- 1:04:48thank you. And I think I'll just have
- 1:04:49water. No lemon.
- 1:04:50>> No lemon. Okay. Thank you.
- 1:04:55>> There's a lot of choices here. What are
- 1:04:57you thinking you're going to get?
- 1:05:00>> I don't know. The poboys are really good
- 1:05:03here.
- 1:05:04>> Yeah.
- 1:05:06>> That looks good to you.
- 1:05:11>> I don't know. Probably. I don't really
- 1:05:14love fish
- 1:05:17unless it's not cooked. So,
- 1:05:21>> what about Cajun pasta?
- 1:05:22>> I'll probably get Nah, I'll probably get
- 1:05:28a fishless favorite.
- 1:05:33>> So,
- 1:05:35they have cheeseburgers,
- 1:05:37chicken, and tenderloin fillets.
- 1:05:42So, we came to a seafood place and
- 1:05:44you're not going to order seafood.
- 1:05:47>> Well, I thought it had sushi, but there
- 1:05:48was sushi here.
- 1:05:49>> Oh,
- 1:05:53maybe I will get
- 1:05:56>> I don't know. They had chicken Alfredo
- 1:05:59pasta.
- 1:06:00[Music]
- 1:06:02>> I need time to think about it.
- 1:06:06Fish tacos. Oh, yeah. Where's that? They
- 1:06:09have Santa Fe tacos with cod and they
- 1:06:11have Atlantic salmon tacos with salmon.
- 1:06:15>> I don't even know what those fish are.
- 1:06:18>> You're on the wrong side of the menu.
- 1:06:21>> Chef's fire.
- 1:06:22>> So,
- 1:06:23>> oh, salmon is the pink one and cod is
- 1:06:28more of like a white flaky dish.
- 1:06:29>> So, the Santa Fe tacos.
- 1:06:31>> I would do Santa Fe cuz cod is usually
- 1:06:32pretty good. I'll do that. Santa Fe
- 1:06:34tacos. Yeah, that sounds good. What are
- 1:06:36you getting?
- 1:06:37>> I don't know.
- 1:06:38[Music]
- 1:06:42I got a sweet tea to drink.
- 1:06:45>> I'm going to get a pobo.
- 1:06:48>> Okay,
- 1:06:52[Music]
- 1:06:55>> Mom.
- 1:06:56>> You got to stop.
- 1:06:57>> I know. I can't help it.
- 1:07:01Anything on the menu?
- 1:07:03>> I think we're ready to just today.
- 1:07:07I It was a very tough decision, but I
- 1:07:09think I'm going to do the pasta and
- 1:07:10salad.
- 1:07:11>> Now, would you prefer Cajun pasta or
- 1:07:13Alfredo pasta?
- 1:07:14>> Cajun.
- 1:07:15>> Everything on your pasta.
- 1:07:17>> Oh, can I get it without the pepper?
- 1:07:19>> Of course.
- 1:07:20>> And then I'll do the Santa Fe tacos,
- 1:07:22please.
- 1:07:22>> You want lunch size or dinner size?
- 1:07:24>> I'll do the lunch size.
- 1:07:25>> And would you prefer shrimp, chicken, or
- 1:07:27fish?
- 1:07:27>> I'll do chicken, please.
- 1:07:28>> And grilled, fried, or black?
- 1:07:30>> Grilled.
- 1:07:31>> Grilled. Anybody want to eat Tabasco,
- 1:07:33Louisiana hot sauce?
- 1:07:34>> No, thank you. I'll be back in a bit.
- 1:07:36>> Thank you.
- 1:07:37>> Thank you.
- 1:07:39>> So, what's new?
- 1:07:42Still in school. That's about it. We've
- 1:07:45both been so busy lately that we hardly
- 1:07:48even see each other. I feel like I know
- 1:07:50between school and work.
- 1:07:53>> And you take classes during the day and
- 1:07:55I take classes at night. So, we never
- 1:07:58see each other.
- 1:08:00>> So, we got some comments from some of
- 1:08:02the viewers. So, we're going to read a
- 1:08:04couple of them.
- 1:08:05Morgan, what is your dream for the
- 1:08:08future?
- 1:08:09>> My dream is probably to travel the
- 1:08:12world. I want to go everywhere and I
- 1:08:16would love to model in every location
- 1:08:18that I travel to. That would be ideal,
- 1:08:20but unrealistic right now.
- 1:08:24>> What would you want to eat if we went to
- 1:08:26Japan?
- 1:08:27>> Sushi, 100%.
- 1:08:30>> What's your favorite kind of sushi? Um,
- 1:08:32I like the California roll. I like
- 1:08:35crunchy sushi, but I also like um yellow
- 1:08:39tails. Yellow tail.
- 1:08:40>> Mhm.
- 1:08:41>> Yeah, that's my favorite fish.
- 1:08:44>> We have seen some pictures of the sushi
- 1:08:46sushi in sushi sushi in Japan and it
- 1:08:50looks way better than our sushi here.
- 1:08:53>> All the food in Japan looks so good.
- 1:08:55>> It looks a lot fresher.
- 1:08:58>> A lot less processed. It probably is a
- 1:09:01lot fresher.
- 1:09:03>> So, if someone in Japan wanted to come
- 1:09:05visit in Texas, what spots in Texas
- 1:09:08would you recommend they visit?
- 1:09:11>> I'm not a huge fan of Texas, but if you
- 1:09:13were to come here and visit, definitely
- 1:09:16South Padre Island. It's um or South
- 1:09:20Texas and Oh, yeah. South Padre.
- 1:09:25Yeah. So, that's the prettiest beach we
- 1:09:27have in Texas, in my opinion. Um, or
- 1:09:34Austin is very young. There's a a lot of
- 1:09:36young college students that live there,
- 1:09:38so I feel like there's a lot more to do.
- 1:09:40Um, and in San Marcus, there's a river
- 1:09:43that you can float. They have these big
- 1:09:45blowup tubes and you float down the
- 1:09:48river. It's a lot of fun, especially
- 1:09:50with a bunch of college students.
- 1:09:54I have heard, I don't know if it's true,
- 1:09:56but I've heard there's alligators been
- 1:09:58that have been spotted in the San Marcus
- 1:10:00River.
- 1:10:01>> I don't think so. All my friends, they
- 1:10:03float the river all the time, and I've
- 1:10:05never heard them say anything of an
- 1:10:07alligator. Maybe one time there was an
- 1:10:09alligator. One time is all it takes to
- 1:10:12be eaten. I am deathly afraid of
- 1:10:14alligators. It's an irrational fear
- 1:10:17because chances are I'll never see one.
- 1:10:20But any type of body of water,
- 1:10:22>> Yeah. I typically avoid unless it's the
- 1:10:25beach cuz I don't think there's
- 1:10:27alligators at the beach.
- 1:10:28>> Well,
- 1:10:31>> okay. And then another comment. You're
- 1:10:33going to laugh at this one. What is your
- 1:10:35favorite meal that your mom cooks?
- 1:10:39So, my mom doesn't cook. My dad is the
- 1:10:42cook in the house. He always has been.
- 1:10:45Usually, it's like reversed. Yeah.
- 1:10:47>> But, um, no, she can't cook for the life
- 1:10:49of her. So,
- 1:10:51>> it's not that I can't cook, I just don't
- 1:10:54enjoy it. And he enjoys it. And you know
- 1:10:57what they say, when you're good at
- 1:10:58something, it becomes your job. He's
- 1:11:00good at something and it became his job.
- 1:11:03And honestly, he runs us out of the
- 1:11:06kitchen if we ever try and go
- 1:11:08>> sometimes. Yes. But I don't know. So, my
- 1:11:11favorite thing that my dad cooks
- 1:11:15is
- 1:11:17[Music]
- 1:11:19I don't know. Steak. He makes steak.
- 1:11:22>> He makes good steak. Um, what is that
- 1:11:24called? Pop pie. I love pot pie.
- 1:11:27>> But I don't really think he makes the
- 1:11:29pot pie. I think he buys the pot pie and
- 1:11:31eats it up.
- 1:11:32>> So, I guess neither of my parents cook.
- 1:11:35>> No, he can cook. And grandpa, dad's dad
- 1:11:39is, you know,
- 1:11:40>> a professional chef.
- 1:11:42>> He owned a restaurant.
- 1:11:44Speaking of dads, one commenter said,
- 1:11:47"Is your dad going to show up on video
- 1:11:49someday? I'm sure he must be
- 1:11:51good-looking."
- 1:11:54>> Well, I don't know if he is going to No,
- 1:11:57no, no, no. I don't know if he is going
- 1:11:59to show up on camera yet. Probably. I
- 1:12:02would assume so. I'm hoping that he
- 1:12:04will.
- 1:12:05>> He's a little camera shy. Yes.
- 1:12:08>> Oh, our food is here. Yay. Thank you. I
- 1:12:11got extra napkins on the tree. Thank
- 1:12:13you.
- 1:12:13>> This looks amazing.
- 1:12:15>> Let me know.
- 1:12:15>> Thank you so much.
- 1:12:18>> Yum. We just got the food.
- 1:12:20>> Okay,
- 1:12:21>> here is my meal. So, here we have
- 1:12:24cilantro rice,
- 1:12:27some kind of sauce. It looks somewhat
- 1:12:29spicy. And then inside here, we have my
- 1:12:33grilled chicken. It looks like some
- 1:12:35carrots, some lettuce, tomatoes, and
- 1:12:38maybe some peppers and cheese.
- 1:12:42And here is my Cajun pasta right here.
- 1:12:46It looks like um noodles and shrimp. And
- 1:12:50I asked them to remove the peppers. So
- 1:12:52it looks like just onion, parmesan
- 1:12:54cheese, and I know it's going to be
- 1:12:57spicy because everything Cajun is spicy.
- 1:13:00And then garlic bread over here. And it
- 1:13:03looks like a traditional salad with
- 1:13:05tomatoes and cucumbers and cheese and
- 1:13:10maybe some egg as well.
- 1:13:13>> Okay, let's try this food.
- 1:13:22>> How is it?
- 1:13:24>> So good. So, this is the cilantro rice.
- 1:13:27I love rice. This is more of like a
- 1:13:30sticky rice and it's very
- 1:13:33How do I describe the rice? It's like
- 1:13:35very expanded. Like the rice is
- 1:13:39feels very
- 1:13:41fluffy. Fluffy. Fluffy. That's a good
- 1:13:43word. Yeah. And it's got a little
- 1:13:46peppery taste to it.
- 1:13:48>> Does it taste like lime?
- 1:13:50>> No.
- 1:13:51>> No. Just cilantro.
- 1:13:52>> Mhm.
- 1:13:53>> Cilantro is one of my favorites.
- 1:13:56>> It's really good. Now, time for the
- 1:13:58taco. So, this is a soft shell taco. It
- 1:14:02honestly looks more like a burrito than
- 1:14:04a taco.
- 1:14:07Is it good? That expression looks like
- 1:14:09it was delicious.
- 1:14:10>> My lip gloss is on it.
- 1:14:15It's really good. You can definitely
- 1:14:17taste the chicken.
- 1:14:19Um, it's got a grilled taste to it.
- 1:14:23There's a little bit of spice in it. Not
- 1:14:25sure where it comes from, but I can
- 1:14:27taste the cold lettuce mixed with the
- 1:14:29warm chicken, and it's like a crunchy,
- 1:14:32good, flavorful taste. The cheese makes
- 1:14:35it a little sweeter. So, I like that.
- 1:14:38>> That was so spicy. It made my nose run.
- 1:14:42I didn't get a spicy bite like that.
- 1:14:44>> It wasn't spicy right away. It took a
- 1:14:47minute and then the spice kicked in.
- 1:14:49>> Okay, your turn. Okay. So, I'm going to
- 1:14:52start with my shrimp pasta
- 1:14:56noodle. Oh, it's hot. It's very hot.
- 1:14:58Hold on.
- 1:14:59>> Let's just try it together.
- 1:15:00>> Okay. Oh, it fell in my sauce. Oh. Oh,
- 1:15:03well.
- 1:15:07Mhm.
- 1:15:09[Music]
- 1:15:10It tastes like shrimp. Um, it's good.
- 1:15:14Doesn't have a lot of flavor because I I
- 1:15:17lost my noodle. It fell in my salad
- 1:15:19dressing.
- 1:15:24[Music]
- 1:15:28>> That's That's really good. So, it's the
- 1:15:30big fat pasta. I don't remember what
- 1:15:32that pasta is called.
- 1:15:33>> I don't know.
- 1:15:34>> I don't know what it's called, but it's
- 1:15:35got a It's spicy, too. It's making my
- 1:15:38nose run. It's got a Cajun spice flavor
- 1:15:43um that I cannot describe. It's kind of
- 1:15:44like a smoky kind of spicy. And when you
- 1:15:49mix the noodle and the shrimp together,
- 1:15:51it's so good.
- 1:15:52>> It is really good. I like yours better.
- 1:15:57[Music]
- 1:16:01>> Mhm.
- 1:16:02>> That's really good.
- 1:16:03>> It is really good. I like the grease.
- 1:16:07>> I'm going to try your chipotle sauce
- 1:16:09here.
- 1:16:13Oh, that's good.
- 1:16:15>> That's super
- 1:16:17buffalo chipotle.
- 1:16:19>> Yes, like a smoky buffalo. That's really
- 1:16:21good. You need to put that on your toes.
- 1:16:23>> It tastes like the stuff you put on
- 1:16:25ribs.
- 1:16:27Is that barbecue sauce? Tastes like
- 1:16:29barbecue sauce.
- 1:16:30>> Mhm. But it's kind of like a spicy
- 1:16:32>> barbecue. Yeah.
- 1:16:33>> And then my garlic bread.
- 1:16:35>> My garlic bread.
- 1:16:36>> That's my garlic bread. But you can have
- 1:16:38it.
- 1:16:42[Music]
- 1:16:44Mhm.
- 1:16:46>> I bet this is making you very hungry
- 1:16:48right now. You're probably eating along
- 1:16:50with us.
- 1:16:52>> That garlic bread is so soaked in
- 1:16:55butter. It's delicious. Butter and a lot
- 1:16:58of garlic, but not an overpowering
- 1:17:01garlic. Just perfect. It is really a
- 1:17:05good refreshing piece of bread. Yeah.
- 1:17:08>> And I'm going to this ranch dressing
- 1:17:12that my noodle fell into earlier.
- 1:17:14>> I ate it.
- 1:17:15>> You Was it good with ranch on it?
- 1:17:17>> Yeah.
- 1:17:17>> It's very messy. All right, let's try
- 1:17:20some salad. Oh, ew. What's that? I don't
- 1:17:23know what that is. I'm just going to
- 1:17:26keep eating cuz I am hungry. A little
- 1:17:28bite of tomato and cucumber.
- 1:17:30[Music]
- 1:17:36I'm not a huge salad lover, but as far
- 1:17:39as salads go, this one's really good.
- 1:17:42>> I love salad. It's just super
- 1:17:43refreshing.
- 1:17:44>> Mhm.
- 1:17:48>> Do you like egg on your salad?
- 1:17:51>> No, I do. Try this.
- 1:17:59>> Oh, sorry. I dipped it on your arm.
- 1:18:02>> That's good, isn't it? I love eggs.
- 1:18:05>> That was egg on your salad.
- 1:18:07>> But I didn't get salad with it.
- 1:18:08>> That's true. But it was it had dressing
- 1:18:10on it.
- 1:18:11>> Yes.
- 1:18:12>> So the salad also has spinach, which I
- 1:18:15love spinach.
- 1:18:16>> What do you rate this? Yours?
- 1:18:18>> M.
- 1:18:20Eight out of 10. What do you rate yours?
- 1:18:24>> Eight out of 10.
- 1:18:26>> Mhm.
- 1:18:27>> I think we're good, but I think we're
- 1:18:28going to order dessert, too.
- 1:18:30>> Wonderful. Did y'all want to go ahead
- 1:18:31and order or do we need to wait?
- 1:18:33>> Yes, I think we're ready.
- 1:18:34>> Okay. Well, I've got four. Quan pie
- 1:18:36bread pudding, fried bread pudding, or
- 1:18:37brownie with ice cream.
- 1:18:38>> I think we'll do the brownie with the
- 1:18:39ice cream.
- 1:18:40>> Is it okay to put caramel and chocolate
- 1:18:42on top?
- 1:18:42>> Oh, yes.
- 1:18:44>> Thank you.
- 1:18:46>> Here's our delicious dessert. It has
- 1:18:48vanilla ice cream on top, a chocolate
- 1:18:51brownie underneath, and then there is
- 1:18:53caramel and chocolate sauce drizzled all
- 1:18:56over it. And we are going to eat this
- 1:18:59really fast because I'm It looks so
- 1:19:01good.
- 1:19:03>> Squishy.
- 1:19:04>> M. Mhm.
- 1:19:08>> Wow.
- 1:19:12>> The brownie is hot. Like
- 1:19:13>> I love ice cream.
- 1:19:16>> And the caramel sauce.
- 1:19:18M
- 1:19:20[Music]
- 1:19:25heaven. We love our sweets. Oh, so the
- 1:19:30brownie super chocolatey and it's a
- 1:19:33creamy brownie. It's not cakey.
- 1:19:36It's making me drool. It's more of like
- 1:19:38a more of like a soft chocolatey sauce
- 1:19:42than a cakey brownie.
- 1:19:45And mixed with the ice cream. The ice
- 1:19:47cream pulls it off. So good.
- 1:19:54No words. It's like
- 1:20:02[Music]
- 1:20:05>> we won.
- 1:20:06>> It wouldn't Yeah, it would not be me if
- 1:20:08I didn't spill.
- 1:20:09>> Mhm.
- 1:20:10>> You were eating all the ice cream.
- 1:20:13>> We don't share desserts, so this is
- 1:20:16really weird for us to be sharing.
- 1:20:19>> No, our family, we do not share
- 1:20:21desserts. It's too important to share.
- 1:20:28Scrape up some of that caramel.
- 1:20:33So good. Do you like the ice cream or
- 1:20:35the brownie better?
- 1:20:38I like the combination of the both. I
- 1:20:40don't think I would like just the
- 1:20:41brownie cuz it's pretty um it's pretty
- 1:20:44sweet.
- 1:20:45>> It's rich.
- 1:20:46>> Mhm. Ice cream kind of mellows it out.
- 1:20:50I love vanilla bean ice cream.
- 1:20:54[Music]
- 1:20:55>> Hot.
- 1:20:57The brownie is hot.
- 1:20:58>> Oh, really?
- 1:20:59>> On the inside?
- 1:21:00>> Mhm.
- 1:21:01>> It's like not even cooked all the way
- 1:21:02through. It's just soft brownie in
- 1:21:04there.
- 1:21:06So good.
- 1:21:10Here is the receipt. And the total
- 1:21:13amount was $35.94. And typically we
- 1:21:16leave about 20%. We left a little over
- 1:21:1920% this time, which was $6, which
- 1:21:22brings the total to $41.94. That's my

- 1:21:28I hope you enjoyed this video. Stay

- 1:21:32how to order in English, what the food
- 1:21:35looks tastes like, and I had a
- 1:21:36conversation with my mom, and it was
- 1:21:39just a great restaurant choice. I
- 1:21:41absolutely love seafood, and I can't
- 1:21:43wait to show you guys some more videos
- 1:21:45and some more food.
- 1:21:47Hey guys, it's Morgan and today I am
- 1:21:50going to be going to Ellie's with my mom
- 1:21:52in Dallas and we are going to be showing
- 1:21:55you what the food looks and tastes like.
- 1:21:57We're going to show you how to order in
- 1:21:59English and we're going to have a
- 1:22:00friendly conversation with the staff.
- 1:22:02So, let's get going. I am currently at
- 1:22:05Jackson Walker Park and this is in the
- 1:22:08dead center of downtown Dallas. They
- 1:22:11have beautiful water fountains and just
- 1:22:13beautiful scenery. As you can see right
- 1:22:15above me is a few skyscrapers and it is
- 1:22:19just a beautiful sunny day. They have
- 1:22:22some structures set out, just some
- 1:22:24beautiful artwork everywhere. And as you
- 1:22:26walk up these stairs, it's just a green
- 1:22:29field and there's a lot of plants and
- 1:22:31just some buildings.
- 1:22:34Now we are driving through Dallas and
- 1:22:36this is the center of Dallas. As you can
- 1:22:39see, there's lots of skyscrapers and
- 1:22:41some traffic.
- 1:22:43As we get closer to the center of
- 1:22:46Dallas, there is a beautiful yellow
- 1:22:49statue and a circular building. There's
- 1:22:52lots of cool things to look at while
- 1:22:54you're out in Dallas. And we are going
- 1:22:57to be entering the Hall Arts parking
- 1:23:01right now. So, let's go see Ellie's.
- 1:23:05So, here is the inside of Ellie's. And
- 1:23:07as you can see, they have lots of
- 1:23:09seating, some comfortable couches that
- 1:23:11you can lounge on and a bar. They also
- 1:23:15have some beautiful lights at the top
- 1:23:17and a view outside.
- 1:23:21Here is the outside of the restaurant.
- 1:23:24And as you can see, they do have an
- 1:23:26inside part of the restaurant, but we
- 1:23:28decided to eat outside because it's a
- 1:23:31beautiful day. And as you can see, it's
- 1:23:33a little balcony area. There's some
- 1:23:36tables with flowers on them and we have
- 1:23:39some trees that hang over the tables.
- 1:23:43It's just a beautiful view with some of
- 1:23:45the Dallas skyscrapers in the back. And
- 1:23:48they also have a lounge couch area.
- 1:23:51>> Hello, my name is Mario. I'll be taking
- 1:23:53care of you this time. Ladies, would you
- 1:23:55like anything to drink besides the
- 1:23:56water?
- 1:23:57>> Um, I think I'll stick with water.
- 1:23:59>> Stay with water.
- 1:23:59>> I'm good with water, too.
- 1:24:00>> Okay. If there's any food allergies, I
- 1:24:02should be aware.
- 1:24:03>> No.
- 1:24:04>> No. Thank you very much. You want to go
- 1:24:06ahead and place an order in or you need
- 1:24:07a few more minutes?
- 1:24:08>> I think I'm ready. Are you ready?
- 1:24:09>> I'm ready.
- 1:24:10>> Okay. Um, can I do the AI tuna poke
- 1:24:13bowl, please?
- 1:24:13>> Pokeball.
- 1:24:15>> Great choice for you.
- 1:24:17>> And I will do the grilled panini,
- 1:24:19please.
- 1:24:20>> Grilled Capri panini. My pleasure.
- 1:24:24>> Do you want to get that with French
- 1:24:25fries, sweet potato fries, side salad,
- 1:24:27or soup?
- 1:24:28>> Ooh. What kind of soup do you have?
- 1:24:29>> The only soup that we have today is
- 1:24:31going to be a corn chowder soup. Serve
- 1:24:33warm.
- 1:24:34>> It's so hot outside. Um, I'll do the
- 1:24:37seasonal salad.
- 1:24:39>> Seasonal salad. My pleasure. Do you want
- 1:24:41to add any pushcuto kind of grilled
- 1:24:43chicken or something else with the
- 1:24:44caprisp?
- 1:24:45>> No, thank you.
- 1:24:46>> My pleasure.
- 1:24:47>> Thank you very much. And I'll come back
- 1:24:48in a minute for you.
- 1:24:50>> Thank you.
- 1:24:51>> Here is my meal. I got the AI tuna poke
- 1:24:54bowl. As you can see, there is rice on
- 1:24:57the inside with some tuna and peppers
- 1:25:01and the little edetamame. It looks like
- 1:25:03there's also corn and some sesame seeds.
- 1:25:06It looks so good. And it comes with a
- 1:25:08soy sauce to just drench the rice in,
- 1:25:12which makes it salty, and some
- 1:25:14chopsticks.
- 1:25:17And I got the Caprici grilled sandwich.
- 1:25:21And it came with a salad with looks like
- 1:25:23arugula and tomato and it looks like
- 1:25:26maybe a vinegarette dressing. And in the
- 1:25:29sandwich it's got cheese. It's got
- 1:25:31yellow tomatoes, red tomatoes. Looks
- 1:25:34like maybe arugula lettuce again and a
- 1:25:38some sort of sauce. And it's hot and it
- 1:25:41looks delicious.
- 1:25:43>> Do I eat with chopsticks?
- 1:25:45>> Yes. Do it. I don't know how to use
- 1:25:46chopsticks very well for rice at least.
- 1:25:50Okay,
- 1:25:53>> I should have tried the sauce to make
- 1:25:54sure I liked it first.
- 1:25:55>> I guess you should have.
- 1:25:56>> It's just all over. I'm going to mix it
- 1:25:58up.
- 1:25:58>> It's got edetami in there. Yum. I might
- 1:26:01steal one of those.
- 1:26:04>> All right.
- 1:26:06Get some of the It's hard to scoop with
- 1:26:08chopsticks.
- 1:26:12All right.
- 1:26:19That's really good. It's sticky rice
- 1:26:22and the the sauce makes it very salty.
- 1:26:26It's a soy sauce, but it also has a
- 1:26:29little spice to it.
- 1:26:34>> Mhm. What do you rate it?
- 1:26:36>> And the ai is so good. I rate this
- 1:26:40a nine out of 10.
- 1:26:42I've had vegetable bowls, but this one's
- 1:26:44so good. It's spicy and I taste lemon
- 1:26:50and like it tastes very earthy. You
- 1:26:52know, like the taste of grass or the
- 1:26:54smell of grass kind of has an earthy
- 1:26:56taste to it.
- 1:26:57>> Huh.
- 1:26:57>> It's really good. You want to try it?
- 1:26:58>> I want to try one of your edetamies.
- 1:27:05>> Okay. I'm going to do some rice and
- 1:27:07edamami.
- 1:27:12You like it?
- 1:27:14>> That is good.
- 1:27:15>> I know.
- 1:27:16>> That is not something I would have ever
- 1:27:17ordered, but that is good.
- 1:27:21>> That edomami is good. I'm going to steal
- 1:27:23another one.
- 1:27:25>> Okay, now time to try your food.
- 1:27:28>> M
- 1:27:30I might want to trade.
- 1:27:31>> I might want to trade, too, cuz I'm like
- 1:27:33eyeing yours up.
- 1:27:34>> Okay, I'm going to try my Caprii.
- 1:27:37Grilled Caprii.
- 1:27:50That's really good. It's warm. It's got
- 1:27:53a really strong flavor of cheese. What
- 1:27:56kind of cheese is this?
- 1:27:58>> Mozzarella.
- 1:27:58>> Mozzarella.
- 1:27:59>> The mozzarella flavor is really good.
- 1:28:01It's not overpowering, but it's got a
- 1:28:03really yummy taste. That's
- 1:28:04>> so good.
- 1:28:05>> The dressing kind of tastes like sub
- 1:28:07sauce.
- 1:28:10vinegar.
- 1:28:11>> It's like a rosemary vinegar, maybe.
- 1:28:14>> Yeah.
- 1:28:15>> And then of course the tomatoes. I love
- 1:28:17the tomatoes. Um it's super good. The
- 1:28:19bread is the texture of the bread. It
- 1:28:21looks really stiff, but it's not. It's
- 1:28:23really soft, easy to chew. Doesn't hurt
- 1:28:25your teeth.
- 1:28:26>> It's very light.
- 1:28:27>> Mhm. Yeah. It's got very simple taste to
- 1:28:31it. It I mean, nothing really
- 1:28:32overpowers. It's just super good. And I
- 1:28:36spilled on myself. It's good for a hot
- 1:28:39day because here in Dallas, it's been
- 1:28:41100° every day. We're all so hot. So,
- 1:28:44having a light meal is kind of nice in
- 1:28:47this hot weather.
- 1:28:49>> Oh, I have to try my salad.
- 1:28:50>> Can you have salad?
- 1:28:52>> Okay.
- 1:28:54My cute little salad bowl.
- 1:28:57I really like this arugula style lettuce
- 1:29:00because I think it's healthier than just
- 1:29:02plain iceberg lettuce, which normally
- 1:29:04you get iceberg in in salads.
- 1:29:12Mhm. Is it good?
- 1:29:14>> Mhm.
- 1:29:16>> It tastes like a salad.
- 1:29:22>> Like she said, it's earthy. The dressing
- 1:29:24is really like a really light
- 1:29:26vinegarette. And the tomatoes are juicy.
- 1:29:30>> I love tomatoes.
- 1:29:32>> Mhm.
- 1:29:32>> It's really good. What do you rate it?
- 1:29:35>> The whole thing. Mhm.
- 1:29:38>> I would say like a like a nine out of
- 1:29:4110.
- 1:29:41>> Nine out of 10. Me, too.
- 1:29:44>> It's It's good, especially for what I
- 1:29:46ordered. It's not anything super fancy,
- 1:29:48but I like it a lot.
- 1:29:49>> Me, too. Time to munch.
- 1:29:52>> Mhm. So, you don't love the corn in
- 1:29:54yours? Mm-
- 1:29:56>> I like the corn.
- 1:29:58Let me try some more.
- 1:29:59>> It's so spicy.
- 1:30:08There's one piece of cucumber in it.
- 1:30:12Just one.
- 1:30:14>> I don't think that's spicy, babe.
- 1:30:18I disagree.
- 1:30:21>> You can trade. Let me have one more
- 1:30:22bite.
- 1:30:34So, now that Aubrey's living here,
- 1:30:36>> your sister,
- 1:30:38>> what are you guys going to go do
- 1:30:39together?
- 1:30:44>> Well, we are going to try to go to
- 1:30:46Topgolf today,
- 1:30:49>> which is
- 1:30:51like
- 1:30:53a setup golfing course. You stay in one
- 1:30:57spot the whole time and you're on a
- 1:30:59platform and you can golf and there's
- 1:31:03different types of games that you can
- 1:31:04do.
- 1:31:06>> It's like a driving range, right?
- 1:31:07>> Yeah.
- 1:31:09>> Yeah.
- 1:31:10But
- 1:31:12other than that, we might we might go
- 1:31:15out tonight, take some pictures,
- 1:31:20>> girl stuff.
- 1:31:20>> Girl stuff. That'll be fun.
- 1:31:21>> How's everything Thank you so far? It's
- 1:31:23>> very good. Thank you so much. Yes.
- 1:31:25Really?
- 1:31:28>> He's probably like, "Oh, you guys
- 1:31:29traded?"
- 1:31:32>> It was good. I think I don't know. Yours
- 1:31:34is good.
- 1:31:35>> I think I like that better cuz it's
- 1:31:37lighter. This feels really heavy in my
- 1:31:40stomach.
- 1:31:42>> No, I'm full. Are we getting dessert?
- 1:31:50>> Maybe.
- 1:31:52>> They had a sorbet.
- 1:31:54>> M. They had a Was it vanilla cheesecake?
- 1:31:57>> Mhm.
- 1:31:58>> Why?
- 1:32:00>> I don't really It sounds good, but I
- 1:32:02don't really eat cheesecake.
- 1:32:05>> It's very Ooh, fly. It's very rich.
- 1:32:09>> Mhm. Like I'd rather have ice cream.
- 1:32:11>> The sorbet probably be good.
- 1:32:13>> Mhm.
- 1:32:14>> Especially with the hot temperature.
- 1:32:18>> Yeah.
- 1:32:19>> So, when I was in Where were we that
- 1:32:22day? Were we in Frisco?
- 1:32:24where you were you were shooting
- 1:32:26something. You were doing a photography
- 1:32:29workshop and I walked by a restaurant
- 1:32:32and on the tables they had these little
- 1:32:34stands and it had a big metal propeller.
- 1:32:36It was like that big and the propeller
- 1:32:38would just spin and spin and spin and
- 1:32:40they set it on the tables and it kept
- 1:32:41the flies from landing on the food.
- 1:32:43>> That's cool.
- 1:32:44>> Really cool. I've never seen that
- 1:32:46before.
- 1:32:49>> Feel like we need that in our house.
- 1:32:52>> Mhm. Every time we open the front door,
- 1:32:54about 10 flies fly in, but they never
- 1:32:57seem to be able to find their way back
- 1:32:59out the door.
- 1:33:00>> Our dogs eat them, too.
- 1:33:02>> Yes, our dogs like to eat the flies.
- 1:33:04That's really disgusting.
- 1:33:06>> I think it's funny. They They chase the
- 1:33:09flies around the house. And
- 1:33:12>> yeah,
- 1:33:15>> they almost have the tree cleaned up off
- 1:33:17our roof.
- 1:33:18>> Yeah, we had a tree fall on our roof. um
- 1:33:21like a 50- foot tree about two weeks
- 1:33:23ago.
- 1:33:24>> Yes. And we had some people come cut the
- 1:33:27tree down which took a whole day and
- 1:33:30still the tree is still hanging. But
- 1:33:33it's half removed. It's a big bodark
- 1:33:36tree and they're native to Texas and
- 1:33:39bodark trees have really hard wood so
- 1:33:42they're really hard to chop down. And it
- 1:33:44was about 50 feet tall. So they worked
- 1:33:46on it for a long time.
- 1:33:48>> Everybody is okay though. There was
- 1:33:50little to no damage on the house,
- 1:33:54>> just the backyard, right? Was there
- 1:33:55damage?
- 1:33:56>> It We're going to have to replace the
- 1:33:57whole roof.
- 1:33:58>> Oh, I didn't know that.
- 1:33:59>> Yes. If you go outside and look, you can
- 1:34:01see the whole roof is concave up at the
- 1:34:03top.
- 1:34:04>> Wow.
- 1:34:04>> So, we have to replace the roof. All the
- 1:34:06rain gutters. It didn't break any
- 1:34:08windows. We're super lucky. Um the
- 1:34:11patio's destroyed. It actually we have a
- 1:34:13retaining wall in the backyard that
- 1:34:15holds that holds our yard up because
- 1:34:18we're kind of on a ravine and it
- 1:34:21actually destroyed the retaining wall.
- 1:34:23The the concrete's all coming up at
- 1:34:25weird angles. So, they're going to have
- 1:34:27to replace the retaining wall, the
- 1:34:28patio, the grill, the pergola.
- 1:34:32>> It's a lot of work.
- 1:34:33>> Yeah, a lot of work, a lot of time, a
- 1:34:35lot of money.
- 1:34:37>> Our insurance is paying for it though.
- 1:34:39>> But it did scare away all of our
- 1:34:41wildlife. We have a lot of squirrels and
- 1:34:42birds. We had coyotes.
- 1:34:45Um, what else do we have out there?
- 1:34:47Possums.
- 1:34:48>> Possums. Yeah,
- 1:34:49>> rabbits.
- 1:34:51>> Snakes.
- 1:34:52>> We did have snakes. We had yellow belly
- 1:34:53racers. Morgan found a was it
- 1:34:56>> copper head?
- 1:34:58>> Those are venomous. Yeah, we don't like
- 1:35:00the copper heads. The the yellow belly
- 1:35:02racer. He's not venomous.
- 1:35:04>> Yeah. So, we had a lot of wildlife, but
- 1:35:07the tree falling and all of the the
- 1:35:10workers coming to chop the tree down
- 1:35:12scared everybody.
- 1:35:13>> Scared away a lot of it. But they'll
- 1:35:15come back.
- 1:35:16>> We hope.
- 1:35:17>> And maybe they'll plant a new tree for
- 1:35:18us.
- 1:35:20>> We hope.
- 1:35:21>> Maybe.
- 1:35:22>> We really loved that tree. It was a
- 1:35:24beautiful tree.
- 1:35:26>> And it's please make your mark so you
- 1:35:30are able to draw in this book or sign
- 1:35:32your name, whatever. I think these are
- 1:35:34so cute.
- 1:35:36There's a lot of them. And then here's
- 1:35:39the check.
- 1:35:41And we are going to be paying a total of
- 1:35:464547.
- 1:35:48And there's a spot for us to write in
- 1:35:50gratuitity and then the total. So, Mom,
- 1:35:53would you like to write it for me?
- 1:35:57So, we typically do a standard tip of
- 1:36:0220% and 20% of 4547 comes close to $10.
- 1:36:08So, the total would be 5547
- 1:36:11and then just sign. Now, you have my
- 1:36:13mom's signature
- 1:36:17and that is it. We are going to leave a
- 1:36:20little picture or note on one of these
- 1:36:23empty pages. And that's all.
- 1:36:26So, today I showed you Ellie's cafe and
- 1:36:29I really loved the place. I thought it
- 1:36:32had the cutest environment and I loved
- 1:36:34being able to sit outside and we also
- 1:36:36had the option of sitting inside. But it
- 1:36:39was just a beautiful day. The food was
- 1:36:41great, super high quality and the staff
- 1:36:43was super friendly and I just loved
- 1:36:46going to get lunch with my mom because
- 1:36:48it's always fun to spend some time with
- 1:36:50her. So, I would totally rate this a
- 1:36:53nine out of ten experience. Um, I think
- 1:36:56if they had a little bit more option on
- 1:36:58the menu, that would have been great.
- 1:36:59That's the only thing holding me back
- 1:37:01from a 10 out of 10. I really hope you
- 1:37:03guys enjoyed this video. I hope it
- 1:37:05helped you learn. And this is a Kaiwa.
