  3. 0:06one of our amazing 20-day shadowing
  4. 0:08challenge. My name is Sarah and I'm so
  5. 0:12excited you're here with me today.
  6. 0:14You know what? Just by clicking on this
  7. 0:17video, you've already taken the most
  8. 0:20important step. You've shown up and
  9. 0:23that's something to be proud of, no
  10. 0:25matter what your English level is right
  11. 0:27now.
  12. 0:29Today, we're going to practice speaking
  13. 0:31English together using a method called
  14. 0:34shadowing.
  15. 0:36We'll talk about daily routines, those
  16. 0:38simple things we do every single day.
  17. 0:42And here's the beautiful thing. By the
  18. 0:44end of this video, you're going to feel
  19. 0:47more confident speaking English.
  20. 0:50I promise you that.
  21. 0:52So, grab a cup of coffee, tea, or
  22. 0:55whatever makes you happy.
  23. 0:58Get comfortable, but make sure you can
  24. 1:00speak out loud. We're going to have some
  25. 1:03fun together.
  26. 1:05So, what exactly is shadowing?
  27. 1:08It's really simple and it's incredibly
  28. 1:11powerful. Shadowing means listening to
  29. 1:14English and repeating what you hear at
  30. 1:16the same time. Like being someone's
  31. 1:19shadow.
  32. 1:21When you shadow, amazing things happen.
  33. 1:26Your pronunciation gets better.
  34. 1:29Your listening skills improve. Your
  35. 1:32confidence grows stronger.
  36. 1:35And most importantly, you start thinking
  37. 1:38in English instead of translating in
  38. 1:40your head.
  39. 1:42Now, listen to me carefully. You don't
  40. 1:45need to be perfect today. I don't want
  41. 1:48perfect. I want you to be brave. I want
  42. 1:52you to speak, even if it feels
  43. 1:54uncomfortable, even if your
  44. 1:56pronunciation isn't perfect yet.
  45. 1:59That's completely normal and that's how
  46. 2:02we grow.
  47. 2:04The goal isn't perfection. The goal is
  48. 2:07progress.
  49. 2:08The goal is showing up consistently and
  50. 2:11speaking with confidence.
  51. 2:14Here's how we're going to do this.
  52. 2:16I'll say each sentence slowly and
  53. 2:18clearly.
  54. 2:20You'll hear it two or three times.
  55. 2:23After each sentence, I want you to
  56. 2:25repeat it out loud. Don't just think it.
  57. 2:28Say it out loud. Follow along with the
  58. 2:31subtitles if you need to.
  59. 2:34Pay attention to the highlighted words.
  60. 2:37Those are the important ones.
  61. 2:40Before we start, I need you to make me a
  62. 2:43promise.
  63. 2:44Promise me you won't give up.
