- 0:00All right, guys. Settlement breakdown.
- 0:03Everybody wants to see the real
- 0:05information. I don't blame you at all.
- 0:08YouTube has a bunch of people claiming
- 0:10they made this and they made that, and
- 0:12I'm not going to say that everybody's
- 0:14not telling the truth,
- 0:16but a lot of times the truth is
- 0:17stretched, and it's hard to
- 0:19differentiate between
- 0:22someone telling the truth and someone
- 0:24not, especially when they're not showing
- 0:25the settlements. Now, what I can say is
- 0:27the people over here at Oakley
- 0:29they do show how much they're making and
- 0:32might not show you their settlements,
- 0:34doesn't mean that they're not making
- 0:35that. Everybody over here makes a lot of
- 0:37money. So,
- 0:39um I can attest to that. So, if you're
- 0:41interested in a certain
- 0:43uh YouTuber over here
- 0:45that's saying they're making that much,
- 0:47but you're kind of skeptical and you
- 0:48want to go ask another
- 0:50Oakley driver that's on YouTube, "Hey,
- 0:52is this Does this sound right?" Don't do
- 0:54that. I'm telling you, everybody over
- 0:56here that's giving you the information,
- 0:58that's how much money they're making,
- 1:00period. There's no uh there's no
- 1:02inflated numbers. There's We just make
- 1:04money over here. It's It's that simple.
- 1:07And the reason why we share this is
- 1:08hoping that we'll spark interest in then
- 1:11you guys want to make
- 1:13the same amount of money, if not more,
- 1:15if you're not making that much where
- 1:17you're working at now. It's pretty
- 1:19simple.
- 1:21And the guy that you choose that you
- 1:22feel comfortable with,
- 1:24you allow them to get your referral
- 1:26bonus. We get a referral bonus. It helps
- 1:28us
- 1:29keep the lights on, feed our family,
- 1:31helps us grow our YouTube channel so
- 1:34that can we can reach other people, but
- 1:35at the same time we're trying to give
- 1:37you guys information and value,
- 1:39entertainment, all those things. So,
- 1:41just keep that in mind when uh you hear
- 1:43these numbers, especially guys over here
- 1:45at Oakley, um they're dead on. They're
- 1:48dead spot on. So, you know, I I can't
- 1:51speak for other people
- 1:53uh working for other companies. I I
- 1:55can't do that. So, um let me fix this
- 1:58camera real quick.
- 2:01Oh, come on now.
- 2:04See if I can make that. There we go, a
- 2:06little bit better.
- 2:08Let's break this
- 2:12down.
- 2:14All right, guys. Let's break it down.
- 2:16These are the settlement sheets. I got
- 2:18paid five times in the month of May. The
- 2:22information on the top up here,
- 2:25all right, that's all going to pretty
- 2:26much stay the same. The only thing
- 2:28that's going to change is this run date.
- 2:30Now, it's showing a run date of April
- 2:3230th. That was when they ran payroll.
- 2:35However,
- 2:36it didn't hit my bank until May 1st. So,
- 2:40that's income for May, no matter how you
- 2:42look at it.
- 2:44Tractor number 11657,
- 2:47DG Lauren Transport, that's my business.
- 2:51This is my pay code,
- 2:53and this is the terminal that I run out
- 2:55of.
- 2:57I had two loads on this on this this pay
- 3:00period.
- 3:02I went from Portsmouth, Rhode Island to
- 3:04Neville Island in Pennsylvania. I
- 3:07deadheaded 558
- 3:10miles. I got 20 cents
- 3:13for mileage surcharge. I got a base pay
- 3:16of a dollar 17.
- 3:18I got 66 cents for fuel surcharge, and I
- 3:22got 25 cents for CSA pay. All those
- 3:25applied to the 558
- 3:28deadhead miles or empty miles, however
- 3:30you want to look at it. When I got to
- 3:32Neville Island, I picked up and I I went
- 3:34to Fairfield, Alabama. I was loaded 756
- 3:39miles, empty on this side, loaded on
- 3:41this side.
- 3:43756 miles, I got paid the base pay of a
- 3:46dollar 62. I got 25 cents for my CSA
- 3:50pay. I got fuel surcharge pay of 66
- 3:53cents. Yes, we get fuel surcharge on
- 3:56empty
- 3:58and loaded miles.
- 3:59You burn fuel when you're empty, right?
- 4:01You burn fuel when you're loaded, of
- 4:03course. So, they're going to pay you
- 4:06fuel for empty and loaded. I also got
- 4:09the mileage surcharge. Now, one thing to
- 4:11note, they've actually changed the pay
- 4:13structure.
- 4:15So, later on you're going to see
- 4:17this number right here, the 117
- 4:20and the 20 cents are combined. This was
- 4:23temporary. They've made this now
- 4:25permanent. So, they've taken this 20
- 4:28cents and they've dropped it into the
- 4:30the base pay. So, now you're going to
- 4:32see a dollar 37 base pay for empty along
- 4:36with the fuel surcharge and the CSA pay.
- 4:39That goes the same for loaded. That this
- 4:4120 cents mileage surcharge right here,
- 4:45they're going to take that and they're
- 4:46going to drop this in
- 4:48to the 162,
- 4:50which is going to make it $1.82
- 4:54base pay along with the CSA and the fuel
- 4:57surcharge. So, if you see this number
- 4:59change on the on the these next
- 5:02settlements coming up, I don't know when
- 5:03they change it. Could but this could
- 5:05have been like a week before or 2 weeks
- 5:06before and you see that change and
- 5:08you're like, "Hey, well, it was 162 on
- 5:11this one. Now it's 182." I'm letting you
- 5:13know ahead of time so now you know.
- 5:16All right. So, for that load,
- 5:18I got 33
- 5:2134 3,334.
- 5:23We ain't even going to do the cents
- 5:24right now.
- 5:26Uh 3,334
- 5:28dollars for that load gross.
- 5:31All right. The next load, when I dropped
- 5:32off in Fairfield, I deadheaded from
- 5:34Fairfield to Livingston, Alabama. 105
- 5:38miles. I got all those, the CSA, the
- 5:41mileage surcharge, the uh the regular
- 5:44base pay, and the fuel surcharge.
- 5:48Uh
- 5:48when I got to Livingston, I I picked up
- 5:50there and I went to Little Rock. I
- 5:52dropped that in Little Rock.
- 5:53That was 379 mi. That total
- 5:58gross for that trip
- 6:00was $1,273.
- 6:04Now, you're going to see this right
- 6:05here. This is recruiting uh cards. This
- 6:08is for referring you guys over to um
- 6:11Oakley.
- 6:12Qualified people.
- 6:15Um so, this 600 right here, don't worry.
- 6:17I will take this out because what I want
- 6:20to do
- 6:21for you guys is to show you numbers just
- 6:25in trucking. I don't need to start
- 6:27showing you um other income that I'm
- 6:30getting and then add that in there and
- 6:32tell you that I made this
- 6:35this week or made this for this month
- 6:38because that would be jaded numbers.
- 6:40Those numbers wouldn't be really
- 6:42accurate. We don't want no
- 6:44misconception. We don't want no
- 6:45misunderstandings. I'm trying to keep it
- 6:47as transparent as possible.
- 6:50So, we'll take this out later. Trust me,
- 6:52I'll take it out.
- 6:53And so, the gross earnings
- 6:55off of two trips was $5,208.
- 7:00Um this is my fuel. These are
- 7:02deductions. These are going to come out
- 7:04of my uh These are These are uh expenses
- 7:07for me. So, I fueled up here, $996.
- 7:11That That's how much it cost me to fuel
- 7:13there. I also fueled over here in
- 7:14Morrilton and that was $429.
- 7:18Now, going down here, these are
- 7:20settlement deductions as well. This
- 7:21comes out every single week. The only
- 7:24thing that'll change in the future for
- 7:26me
- 7:27is this wet kit. All right, they take
- 7:30out $225
- 7:32for my hydraulics, my wet kit, my PTO,
- 7:35whatever you want to call it. And right
- 7:37here
- 7:39is my balance until that is taken care
- 7:42of. Once I get that to zero, then I
- 7:45don't have to pay that anymore.
- 7:47Um so, the pre-pass device is around six
- 7:51bucks.
- 7:53Occupational accident insurance, just in
- 7:55case I get hurt, is around $44.
- 7:58That wet kit, they take 225 out a week
- 8:01for that. The physical damage insurance
- 8:03for the truck, 29 bucks.
- 8:06Base plate fees,
- 8:08uh that's going to be for your
- 8:09registration at at the at each year,
- 8:12they take out $30 per week. So, that way
- 8:15when they go to register the truck, they
- 8:16have that money
- 8:17um there for them.
- 8:20Uh the MobileCom is the GeoTab, that's
- 8:22your ELD, that's $24 a week. And
- 8:25non-trucking liability insurance
- 8:28um is $6.
- 8:31That everything right here adds up to
- 8:34see uh 363. Now, you start taking out
- 8:37that 225 once I get that paid off, this
- 8:40number's going to drop significantly.
- 8:42I'm going to only be paying about a $140
- 8:46uh for deductions
- 8:48each week. That's all they take out per
- 8:50week. The rest is going to be fuel. All
- 8:52right? So, uh just so you understand
- 8:54what's going on. And then I hit got hit
- 8:57with this uh this is the first quarter
- 8:58fuel tax, 64.89, which is high, but it's
- 9:02high because the first quarter I ran a
- 9:05lot out of Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas,
- 9:09where the fuel is cheaper. And then I'll
- 9:11run some states and I'll end up coming
- 9:13back
- 9:14and um and refueling there again. But,
- 9:17unfortunately, $64, sometimes I'll take
- 9:21the hit um on the end and to benefit me
- 9:24in the front end of it, if that makes
- 9:26sense. I don't know. I will have to talk
- 9:28IFTA later. So, anyways, uh that IFTA
- 9:31tax is 64 bucks, 65, you can say 65
- 9:34bucks. And so, my total settlement
- 9:37deductions for this uh week or for this
- 9:40particular week was $1,854.81.
- 9:46All right. So, my total net, what I took
- 9:48home, was 3,353
- 9:52bucks. I ran a grand total of 663
- 9:57empty miles.
- 9:58And my total loaded miles was 1,135.
- 10:03Not bad. I didn't run that much, and I
- 10:06still made 33 53.
- 10:09All right. Let's go to the following
- 10:10week. This run date 5/7, which means it
- 10:14didn't hit my bank until 5/8, but it is
- 10:16May.
- 10:17All this information up here is the
- 10:19same. We're going to run through this a
- 10:21little bit quicker. So, I went from
- 10:22McAlester to Kremlin, Oklahoma, 217
- 10:26empty miles.
- 10:28Kremlin, Oklahoma to East Chicago,
- 10:30Indiana. That was 821 miles. That load
- 10:33paid me 2,000 $791.
- 10:37Out of East uh Chicago, Indiana, I went
- 10:40to Wisconsin. I ain't even going to try
- 10:41to pronounce that.
- 10:43That was 119 empty miles. And then, from
- 10:46Wisconsin, I went to Henderson,
- 10:48Kentucky. That was 404
- 10:52loaded miles. That load paid me $1,401.
- 10:57Uh once I uh dropped off in Henderson, I
- 11:00deadheaded from Henderson to Owensboro.
- 11:02That was right down the road. 20 29
- 11:05miles empty. And then, I picked up in
- 11:08Owensboro and went to Sapulpa. Uh 616
- 11:14loaded miles.
- 11:15And that load paid me $1,782.
- 11:21Uh the next load, after I am in Sapulpa,
- 11:23I just ran over to Tulsa, which was 25
- 11:25miles.
- 11:27Um I picked up in Tulsa, and I took that
- 11:29to to Little Rock, 275 loaded miles.
- 11:33That paid me $823.
- 11:36These are gross numbers. Gross numbers
- 11:38cuz we haven't taken out any deductions
- 11:40yet. Uh I did have a recruiting uh bonus
- 11:43card, I remember. So, we have 600 on the
- 11:46last one. We're going to We're going to
- 11:48minus that 200
- 11:50as well as that 600. So, so far it's a
- 11:52total of 800 bucks. My taxable earnings,
- 11:56the gross earnings,
- 11:58$6,998.71.
- 12:01So, pretty much $7,000.
- 12:04I had uh load expenses. These also is
- 12:07what This is what I got back at 105.
- 12:10Um they reimbursed me for that.
- 12:12And then uh I got fuel in Perry,
- 12:16Oklahoma, uh $728.
- 12:19I also got fuel in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.
- 12:22That was $784.
- 12:25And I believe that's it. Mm, I don't
- 12:28know what this is, but anyway, it's a it
- 12:30is a deduction.
- 12:32Now, uh back to um
- 12:34all the just the normal stuff we always
- 12:36have. Remember last time it was 600 uh
- 12:39$363.99.
- 12:41Same thing. Doesn't change. The only
- 12:43thing, like I said, is going to change
- 12:44once I pay off that wet kit up here,
- 12:46then
- 12:47that'll drop 225 off that 363.
- 12:51Um I also fueled in uh looks like
- 12:54Eufaula,
- 12:55uh $592.
- 12:57And then my total uh settlement
- 12:59deductions was
- 13:00$2,505,
- 13:03which left me with a net of $4,599
- 13:07or $4,600.
- 13:09I ran 390 empty miles,
- 13:132,116
- 13:16loaded miles. Next week, 5/14. I got
- 13:19paid on 5/15. Information up here is the
- 13:22same. Um I ran from North Little Rock to
- 13:25North Little Rock. This was empty. That
- 13:27was 6 mi.
- 13:28I
- 13:29took load from North Little Rock to
- 13:34that's not what it I don't think it's I
- 13:35don't even remember going there.
- 13:36Anyways, it was Arkansas 106 mi that
- 13:39paid me $309.
- 13:41I went from I knew it wasn't that that
- 13:44Subiaco. It was Subiaco, Arkansas to Van
- 13:47Buren. I dead headed 67
- 13:50empty miles and then I took from Van
- 13:52Buren to Durant, Oklahoma. That was 189
- 13:55loaded miles. That paid me $682.30.
- 14:00Durant, Oklahoma to Oklahoma City. I
- 14:02dead headed 150 mi and then from
- 14:04Oklahoma City I went to Houston, Texas.
- 14:06That was 450 mi. That load paid me 1602.
- 14:11From Houston, Texas I went over to
- 14:13Hockley. That was 43 mi, not too far.
- 14:15Hockley, Texas up to Tulsa. That was 498
- 14:18mi loaded. And that paid me $1,486.
- 14:25And then I had another load from Tulsa,
- 14:27Oklahoma to Tulsa right down the road 15
- 14:30mi. And I picked up in Tulsa and I took
- 14:32that to Shelbyville, Tennessee. That was
- 14:34649 mi and that paid me $1,841.
- 14:41I had another load after that. I went
- 14:44from
- 14:45um
- 14:46I went from
- 14:48Shelbyville, Tennessee to Tarrant City
- 14:51or Tarent City. 154 empty and then I
- 14:55from Tarent City I went to Little Rock.
- 14:57373 loaded miles and for some reason, I
- 15:02don't know why they dropped this all on
- 15:04the same. It was supposed to be
- 15:05separated, but however they do it, they
- 15:07do it. I'm okay with it. Um
- 15:10Van Buren, Arkansas to North Little
- 15:12Rock. That was 151 empty miles and then
- 15:14from there I went to Coffeeville,
- 15:15Kansas. That was 333
- 15:18mi. And you see right already off the
- 15:21bat these
- 15:22I'll go up here so I can show you
- 15:24better. So, this is where it changed
- 15:26where now instead of 117, I told you
- 15:28they're going to take that 20 cents and
- 15:30they're going to drop it Excuse me, drop
- 15:31it in the mileage pay. [clears throat]
- 15:33That base pay is now 137 and along with
- 15:36the CSA and the fuel surcharge, which is
- 15:3871 cents at this point.
- 15:41So, like I said, fuel goes up, fuel
- 15:43surcharge goes up. The price of fuel
- 15:45goes down, search fuel surcharge goes
- 15:47down. Uh so, I had this deadhead up here
- 15:50for 6 miles to North Little Rock and
- 15:53then I picked up something in North
- 15:54Little Rock and took it to Ardmore for
- 15:56323 miles. So, that that paid me 912.
- 15:59So, my total earnings, net sorry, gross
- 16:03$9,510.
- 16:05I paid for fuel 798, 758, 704. And then
- 16:10I have
- 16:11my normal deductions that come out. We
- 16:14already went all over that. 6 363.99
- 16:17again, doesn't change. I got some toll
- 16:21expenses. They do not pay tolls in
- 16:23Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Quite all
- 16:26right, I still take them. I'd rather
- 16:28take the express lane to get to where I
- 16:29need to quicker than take just the
- 16:31regular highway and get blocked up. So,
- 16:34that that they charged me $30 for
- 16:37that week. I also got fuel for 721. So,
- 16:41anyways, total deductions
- 16:44settlement deductions for that week was
- 16:46$3,326.
- 16:48That left me a net of $6,184.
- 16:53That's what I took home.
- 16:57All right, grand total
- 16:58592 empty miles
- 17:022,921
- 17:04loaded miles. All right, let's go to the
- 17:06next one. We're almost done here, guys.
- 17:08Hang with me. All right.
- 17:11We're going to skim through this a
- 17:11little quicker.
- 17:13I had one load right here,
- 17:16$661.
- 17:18And that's it.
- 17:20I had only one load. Uh my grow also had
- 17:23deductions, so I had my $661 is what I
- 17:26got paid for that one load. I had
- 17:27deductions of six uh 363. Why do I not
- 17:30want to say six? 363.99
- 17:34and
- 17:35uh my total
- 17:37um
- 17:37oh, I had a I had a fuel tax of 198
- 17:41in April. Anyways,
- 17:44total settlements 562. My whopping check
- 17:48for this week was $98.31.
- 17:52I ran 195 empty and 75 loaded. The
- 17:56reason for this is I went home and took
- 17:59a vacation. I took a week off.
- 18:02Um and I deadheaded to go grab a load,
- 18:05dropped it off, and then I deadheaded
- 18:07home. So, that was my pay for um that
- 18:11week.
- 18:12All right, next one. 528. This is the
- 18:14last
- 18:16settlement for the month of May.
- 18:19I went from McAlester to Catoosa,
- 18:21105 mi, and then I dropped off in
- 18:24Hinesville. This load paid me $555.
- 18:28I went back out to Portsmouth from
- 18:30Gentry. That paid me $4,182.
- 18:34This load right here from Portsmouth, I
- 18:36went to New Hampshire.
- 18:39And uh I dropped this off in Butler, uh
- 18:41Pennsylvania. That was $2,041.
- 18:46Then I went from Butler, deadheaded to
- 18:48White Sulphur to Taylor, Kentucky.
- 18:51That paid $1,522.
- 18:55And then I do have uh what you uh
- 18:57recruiting cards for 800.
- 19:01So, we have 800 already previously. We
- 19:04have 800, so we need to deduct 1,600
- 19:08of passive income away from trucking
- 19:11income. My total earnings were $9,102.
- 19:16I paid for fuel right here, all my fuel
- 19:19costs,
- 19:20and my regular settlement costs again,
- 19:23$363.99.
- 19:25My total deductions were 2,950
- 19:29bucks.
