- 0:01Namaskar. Today we are discussing the
- 0:04Svadhisthana chakra. The Svadhisthana
- 0:06chakra is the second center. It is
- 0:07located right at the level of the
- 0:09reproductive organs. That is
- 0:12approximately four to six fingers below
- 0:14the navel. This is the position of the
- 0:18Svadhisthana chakra. This center
- 0:21controls the liquid factor in the body.
- 0:26It is responsible for the coarsest and
- 0:29heaviest emotions. The level of the
- 0:32Svadhisthana chakra is the reptilian
- 0:34level. That is, reptiles live by the
- 0:37emotions of the Svadhisthana chakra.
- 0:39For a reptile, the Svadhisthana chakra
- 0:41is their Sahasrara chakra. They have
- 0:43nothing higher. Yes. And, well, in
- 0:46general, if we take evolution, for
- 0:49example, all chakras are like stations.
- 0:52Stations of evolution, right? And if we
- 0:56take the Muladhara chakra, its primary
- 0:58property is kamavritti. Kamavritti
- 1:01means physical urges: eating, sleeping,
- 1:04and so on. And this most primary
- 1:09manifestation of the Muladhara chakra
- 1:12exists in the simplest organisms. And
- 1:18when the Svadhisthana chakra appears,
- 1:20it can be considered a huge, huge
- 1:22breakthrough in evolution. Yes. Well,
- 1:26from our position, these are, of course
- 1:28, very primitive emotions, yet they
- 1:31still exist within us. That is why
- 1:35being forced to act like reptiles act
- 1:37is, of course, disharmonious for us.
- 1:42That is, it creates tension and, uh, it
- 1:45creates, uh, well, failure in life. The
- 1:51Svadhisthana chakra is associated with
- 1:54water. It, its symbolism is, uh, the
- 1:58crocodile. The crocodile. So, this
- 2:01chakra symbolizes reptiles. And when
- 2:06the chakra is developed, a person
- 2:08acquires very good tactfulness. A sense
- 2:12of taste, a sense of beauty. If the
- 2:14Svadhisthana chakra is developed, a
- 2:16person is very neat, and it is pleasant
- 2:18to look at them. So, if you see a
- 2:21person, uh, who is dressed very, very
- 2:26strangely, is unpleasant to look at, or
- 2:29is untidy, this is a sign that the
- 2:31Svadhisthana chakra is vulnerable,
- 2:33meaning there is some block in it; it
- 2:35is undeveloped, it is a problematic
- 2:37chakra. And, most likely, its
- 2:40properties, its psychological
- 2:42characteristics, will also be reflected
- 2:44in the person's character. The
- 2:47Svadhisthana chakra is, in general, the
- 2:49main problem of human life. That is, a
- 2:53lack of strength in the Svadhisthana
- 2:55chakra represents the main emotional
- 2:57demons that live within us. That is why
- 3:03anyone starting their spiritual
- 3:04development needs to dedicate time to
- 3:06strengthening the Svadhisthana chakra.
- 3:11Look, we have this sushumna, the
- 3:13central channel inside the spine, going
- 3:16from the coccyx to the crown of the
- 3:18head; it is the central spiritual
- 3:20channel through which spiritual energy
- 3:22travels. And the chakras are located at
- 3:24the level of this channel. It is like a
- 3:27pipe. If energy—that is, energy
- 3:29accumulates from bottom to top. Yes.
- 3:32But if there is one, if a chakra is
- 3:34weak, the energy will dissipate at the
- 3:37level of that chakra. And if there is a
- 3:39problem with the Svadhishthana chakra,
- 3:42the energy simply won't reach the
- 3:43Anahata chakra. And it turns out that a
- 3:46person lives at a very, very primitive
- 3:48level. They look like a human, but in
- 3:53their emotional state, they don't feel
- 3:55human at all. They say, "I would like
- 3:59to live like a human." That is the
- 4:02emotional sensation they have. They
- 4:05feel like a crocodile or, uh, remember,
- 4:07right, what was the symbol here? A goat
- 4:10, right? Exactly. And for the energy to
- 4:15reach your upper centers, you need your
- 4:17lower centers to be strong at the very
- 4:19least; you need to strengthen them.
- 4:25Let's discuss the Svadhishthana chakra,
- 4:27that is, what qualities and
- 4:29characteristics it awakens in the mind,
- 4:32and discuss how to make the
- 4:33Svadhishthana chakra strong. So, what
- 4:37is a Vritti chakra, anyway? A chakra is
- 4:40like the cup of a lotus. Vritti are the
- 4:42petals. The Vritti are the cup of this
- 4:46flower, the center of the chakra, which
- 4:48controls these petals and the energy of
- 4:50the chakra. So at this level, the
- 4:55energy is crude, and it wants to
- 4:57manifest. Right. And the chakra
- 4:59controls this crude manifestation of
- 5:01energy. The stronger the chakra, the
- 5:03higher your control over these emotions
- 5:05. Is that clear? That is the idea. Uh,
- 5:08so, let’s analyze the Svadhishthana
- 5:11chakra. It has six petals. All of them
- 5:15represent the qualities of cold
- 5:16self-preservation. If you want to study
- 5:20the Svadhishthana chakra, take a lizard
- 5:22and study it. Or take a crocodile and
- 5:25study it. And you will see how all
- 5:28these tendencies work. And you will see
- 5:31these tendencies in yourself too,
- 5:33because they are absolutely identical.
- 5:35We are no different from reptiles here.
- 5:38We act like reptiles. We have, uh, uh,
- 5:41in our nervous system, the base is the
- 5:44same. There is a base, a foundation,
- 5:47and then a more developed brain is
- 5:49added to it, then the cerebral cortex
- 5:51is added. Right. But the foundation,
- 5:54the instinct, is the same everywhere.
- 5:56Right. And later additions, for example
- 5:59, we developed a cerebral cortex, right
- 6:01, where the main human virtues are
- 6:04manifested: rationality, intelligence,
- 6:06abstract thinking, and so on. Right.
- 6:09But this is a later addition to the
- 6:11brain. And when a moment comes, if you
- 6:15are in a critical moment or facing
- 6:17danger or something, your deeper,
- 6:19ancient parts of the brain say, "This
- 6:21is a beta version, we won't have time
- 6:23to react." And this switch gets flipped
- 6:29, it turns on, and you start acting on
- 6:31instinct, or like a reptile again.
- 6:34There. And it is very important to
- 6:38strengthen your higher human traits, so
- 6:40that your animal nature—or even worse
- 6:42, your reptilian nature—doesn't take
- 6:44control over you. One writer once said
- 6:50—I don’t recall who—but I really
- 6:52liked the phrase: "When you talk to a
- 6:54person, you must remember that you are
- 6:56simultaneously talking to a crocodile
- 6:59and a horse." So today, I am
- 7:03introducing you to this crocodile
- 7:05within us. The lotus flower here
- 7:12consists of six petals, six vrittis.
- 7:18The first vritti is called avagya.
- 7:24Avagya means belittling others.
- 7:28Belittling. You may have noticed that
- 7:31different people assert themselves in
- 7:33different ways. Developed people feel
- 7:36good when they encourage everyone
- 7:38around them. The more prosperity they
- 7:43find around them, the more happy people
- 7:45they find in their circle, the happier
- 7:47they become. Other people—that is,
- 7:51people of the Anahata chakra—act this
- 7:54way. Right. Or people of the Vishuddha
- 7:56chakra act this way. But people of the
- 7:58Svadhishthana chakra act in a
- 8:00completely different way. By definition
- 8:04, they possess a deep-seated complex of
- 8:06fear and insecurity. And they resolve
- 8:11this insecurity by belittling others.
- 8:15That is, they only feel comfortable
- 8:16when they dominate their environment.
- 8:22They intentionally bully, create
- 8:24complexes, show their power,
- 8:26demonstrate it, force people into weak
- 8:28positions, and look for their
- 8:30weaknesses just to feel good. This
- 8:37stems from a deep inferiority complex,
- 8:39which is also a trait of the
- 8:41Svadhishthana chakra. It’s not quite
- 8:44right to say inferiority; it’s an
- 8:46insecurity complex. Insecurity. And how
- 8:48does this insecurity manifest itself?
- 8:51It has two sides. On one hand, you are
- 8:53insecure in yourself— "Oh, I'll never
- 8:56be able to do this,""Oh, I won't
- 8:58succeed." And on the other hand, you
- 9:00are insecure about others. Meaning you
- 9:03are always suspicious of others.
- 9:05Paranoid thinking. Right. So, what's
- 9:09the catch? Someone is plotting against
- 9:14me, or you hear your name and you run
- 9:16over, listening, "What are they saying
- 9:18over there?" Maybe they are gossiping
- 9:21about me. They couldn't possibly be
- 9:23saying anything good, right? This drive
- 9:27to check text messages, read your
- 9:29wife's phone, or sneak into a computer
- 9:31to see what someone is messaging about,
- 9:34to set traps, eavesdrop, and spy. And
- 9:40all of this stems from this deep-seated
- 9:42insecurity, which is a property of the
- 9:44Swadhisthana chakra. The attempt to
- 9:48control everything and everyone. The
- 9:49attempt to control everything and
- 9:51everyone. The inability to trust, to
- 9:54surrender to the flow of life, and to
- 9:56maneuver according to where that flow
- 9:58carries you. But instead, attempting to
- 10:02control this flow, to grab life like
- 10:04this and not let it move. I am
- 10:06controlling you. Meaning I see
- 10:08everything, I hear everything, and so
- 10:09on; I am trying. And it is very hard
- 10:11for these people to let go. This
- 10:13creates great tension in their lives.
- 10:16And it creates great tension in the
- 10:18lives of those around them. And if your
- 10:22Swadhisthana chakra is very weak, then
- 10:24this manifests as mental illness. We
- 10:28call it paranoia, yes, a mental illness
- 10:31. That's how it is. So, on one hand, we
- 10:33have the belittling of others. By
- 10:36belittling others, people at the level
- 10:38of this chakra achieve a certain
- 10:40comfort. Meaning I am on top, I am the
- 10:43strongest, I am the alpha male. Yes.
- 10:46And everyone else is under my control.
- 10:48So, the drive to control everything,
- 10:50the desire for power, also has its
- 10:52roots right here in this Swadhisthana
- 10:55chakra. Simply because it is
- 10:57comfortable that way; otherwise, I do
- 10:59not feel confident. Yes. Also, in this
- 11:02center, we have a property called
- 11:04proshraya. Proshraya, a Sanskrit word,
- 11:08it denotes indulgence or yielding to
- 11:11one's desires. Meaning the simplest
- 11:16desires: eating, sleeping, sexual
- 11:19desire. And so, what does proshraya
- 11:23mean? Having desires is normal. It is
- 11:26our instinct, thanks to which we
- 11:27survive. Yes. But when you cannot deny
- 11:31yourself pleasure, it means there is a
- 11:33problem with the Swadhisthana chakra.
- 11:36Meaning you simply cannot say no. Your
- 11:38common sense says, "No," but you cannot
- 11:40stop yourself. You left the kitchen and
- 11:43then you return: "No, I'll have one
- 11:45more pie. I'll have one more pie." And
- 11:47so various addictions arise in people.
- 11:51It can be, for instance, there are
- 11:53people who consume alcohol occasionally
- 11:55, and they don't have an addiction,
- 11:57right? But some are constantly
- 12:01compelled to consume, consume, and
- 12:03consume. So, we are dealing with
- 12:06different people. Meaning one person
- 12:08has a strong Swadhisthana chakra,
- 12:10another has a weak one. But if he keeps
- 12:12consuming alcohol, he will gradually
- 12:13destroy his Swadhisthana chakra, and he
- 12:15will develop an addiction. Yes. I mean,
- 12:21all different types of addictions, for
- 12:23example, alcohol, smoking, or TV, or a
- 12:26love for sweets, a pathological
- 12:28addiction to sugar, nymphomania, or a
- 12:31passion for gambling, a passion for
- 12:33video games, a passion for the internet
- 12:36, all of this is an inability to
- 12:38restrain yourself, right, to control
- 12:40yourself. You say: "Oh, I'd better not
- 12:46even register on that social network at
- 12:48all, because if I register, it will
- 12:50suck me in to death, you know, and I
- 12:52won't be able to at all." I mean, all
- 12:54my time will be spent there. So, a
- 12:56person understands that their
- 12:58Swadhisthana chakra is weak, they don't
- 13:00control themselves. There. And this is
- 13:05actually a very big problem in our
- 13:07society, when, because of our
- 13:09upbringing, because of an improper diet
- 13:11from childhood, because of chronic
- 13:13constipation, because of alcohol,
- 13:15because of a lack of love in childhood,
- 13:18this center doesn't develop, it becomes
- 13:20weak. And you become a walking bundle
- 13:25of problems. Now moving on, um there is
- 13:32a property here in the Swadhisthana
- 13:34chakra. It is called krurata. Krurata
- 13:37means rudeness. Rudeness, a lack of
- 13:42tact. And this can develop into such a
- 13:48mental deviation as you, that is, you
- 13:54are unable to understand and feel the
- 13:56feelings of other people. I mean, you
- 13:59just try to guess with your intellect
- 14:01what they are feeling, you just don't
- 14:03understand. I mean, people drop subtle
- 14:07hints, broad hints. Only when someone
- 14:10says it directly do you say: "Oh, I get
- 14:12the hint." Yes, this is a problem with
- 14:16the Swadhisthana chakra. Lack of tact,
- 14:19rudeness. I mean, this is a person who
- 14:22constantly behaves like a bull in a
- 14:24china shop. They make jokes, jokes that
- 14:27aren't funny, right, jokes, but
- 14:29nevertheless, they don't stop joking.
- 14:33They will keep joking and joking. And
- 14:36even though everyone looks at them like
- 14:38: "Ugh, here we go again." And they
- 14:41don't experience anything, whereas a
- 14:43person who is at least at the Manipura
- 14:45chakra level, right, if they told a
- 14:47joke and everyone looked at them like
- 14:49that, they would feel shame, they
- 14:51simply wouldn't joke like that anymore.
- 14:53But a person at the Swadhisthana chakra
- 14:55, they and they just don't have that at
- 14:59all, um, well, they cannot receive
- 15:01feedback and understand anything. It
- 15:03just doesn't get through to them. I
- 15:05mean, everything only goes one way, and
- 15:07it gets lost on the way back, their
- 15:09brain neurons just don't process it.
- 15:12This is also, um, such a property. And
- 15:18this krurata, krurata means coarse
- 15:21manners. Crude manners. Crude manners
- 15:24mean not feeling what other people want
- 15:26, not feeling how they experience pain,
- 15:29not empathizing. Absolute indifference.
- 15:31Meaning you could be walking down the
- 15:33street, and right in front of you
- 15:35someone could be, I don't know, killed
- 15:36or beaten up. Meaning you wouldn't even
- 15:38flinch. It's not that fear holds you
- 15:42back, but in principle, well, it's just
- 15:44happening, fine. So, in principle, the
- 15:48thought to help will never even arise
- 15:50if the svadhishthana chakra is weak.
- 15:52Meaning there is absolutely no
- 15:54compassion at all. How could one take
- 15:58part in someone else's life? I don't
- 16:00understand that at all. So, this is a
- 16:03blocked state of mind. And, for example
- 16:07, how do people act? They might walk up
- 16:10, open a window, and leave. And they
- 16:14won't ask: "Is this okay for you? May I
- 16:16open the window?""Is it alright, will I
- 16:19bother you?" He, in principle, even if
- 16:21you explain it to him, will say: "But I
- 16:23didn't want to cause anyone any harm,
- 16:25right? What did I do? I, well, I
- 16:27thought it would be good for everyone."
- 16:30Yes. He cannot understand that he is
- 16:33causing suffering to other people. Yes,
- 16:36this is a difficult, difficult thing,
- 16:38how other people are supposed to deal
- 16:41with it. And in the end, there is a
- 16:45stupor. A mental stupor. Well, in a
- 16:52mild form. It's just a block at the
- 16:55level of thoughts. Dogma. Dogma.
- 17:03Sometimes you're talking to friends,
- 17:05and you see the svadhishthana chakra is
- 17:08blocked tight, and you tell him: "
- 17:10Rational arguments are useless."
- 17:14Meaning he read something once
- 17:16somewhere, and he liked that thing.
- 17:20That's it, now it has become an
- 17:21immovable brick in his worldview.
- 17:25Persuading, dissuading, or changing his
- 17:27mind is useless. Because the thinking
- 17:31is static like this, meaning the person
- 17:34essentially isn't thinking, he is in a
- 17:36stupor, he grabbed onto some thing
- 17:38somewhere, absorbed it, was taught it,
- 17:40was told so, read it in a book, saw it
- 17:42on the internet, and that's it, he
- 17:44won't think any further. Yes, this
- 17:49svadhishthana chakra is completely,
- 17:52well, a dulling occurs, a stupor. And a
- 17:57deeper manifestation is when a person
- 17:59goes into an emotional stupor and even
- 18:01a physical stupor. For example, I saw
- 18:05this situation on a commuter train. A
- 18:07husband and wife are riding, well, I
- 18:10assume they are husband and wife, and
- 18:12she is, you know, harping on him. She
- 18:14says, well, she has a very simple logic
- 18:17. She says: "Listen, my dear, answer me
- 18:20right now. Did you marry me?" He says:
- 18:25"Well, some guy, kind of worn out, you
- 18:28know." He says: "Well, it happened, it
- 18:32happened." Then she says: "Give him
- 18:35drinks, food, clothes, provide for him.
- 18:38" He promised. He promised. And then
- 18:43the final, finishing question, she says
- 18:45: "Where is the money?" The guy goes
- 18:52into a stupor at that moment; his face
- 18:54even changes, everything changes. Now
- 18:59she gets really angry about it. She
- 19:01says: "Oh, he froze." She is so angry.
- 19:05I mean, the Manipura chakra level is
- 19:07quite feisty and angry here. And while
- 19:12she answers him like that, he, well, to
- 19:18him, she simply ceased to exist. He
- 19:20retreated into a kind of abstract
- 19:22stupor. Meaning no thoughts, no
- 19:25emotions, nothing at all, no problems.
- 19:28This is what's called a stupor. And
- 19:30this emotion has roots in the past. I
- 19:33mean, as living beings evolved, this
- 19:35was a primitive defensive reaction. For
- 19:40example, many animals, right, they go
- 19:43into a stupor—insects, for instance;
- 19:46touch them, they go into a stupor. Or,
- 19:52let's say, a big, big predator is
- 19:54running, and you're running away from
- 19:56it, running away, and you realize you
- 19:58won't escape. You freeze, pretend to be
- 20:02a stone, just in case. And eyes are
- 20:05wired so that something needs to move
- 20:07for you to perceive it. And based on
- 20:10this effect, they defended themselves.
- 20:12Meaning freezing emotionally, freezing
- 20:14intellectually, freezing physically—
- 20:16just freezing. And that's it, the
- 20:18predator walks by, there's no life. "Oh
- 20:20well, I'll go look for something else."
- 20:22That's it. So, this is a real reaction.
- 20:26We had a kitten here, well, a wild one;
- 20:28the cat gave birth, it grew up in the
- 20:30woods, it grew up like a little beast.
- 20:33Right. And everyone is curious to catch
- 20:35this kitten, right? Well, they finally
- 20:39caught this kitten one day, and when
- 20:41they took it in their hands, it hissed
- 20:43and hissed, then stopped hissing and
- 20:45fell into a catatonic state. Just like
- 20:49that. Just like that. And the person
- 20:53who caught it got scared. "Oh, the
- 20:55kitten died," and dropped it. And that
- 20:59kitten, like a robot, started to move.
- 21:01Gradually, gradually, its muscles
- 21:03finally relaxed, and it ran away in the
- 21:06end. So, imagine this, another property
- 21:09here, connected, right, with this
- 21:14Sarvanasha stupor, which triggers this
- 21:16stupor. Sarvanasha means the thought of
- 21:18imminent destruction, the fear: "I'm
- 21:20going to die right now." Any second now
- 21:23it will happen, I am going to die right
- 21:25now. This fear of death compels you,
- 21:28constricts you, until your teeth clench
- 21:30. Everything becomes paralyzed just
- 21:32like that. Some people say: "Sometimes
- 21:34in my sleep, when I am dreaming, I feel
- 21:37a fear that is worse than death." A
- 21:40fear that is worse than death.
- 21:43Everything tightens up. It is
- 21:44unbearable. People simply experience
- 21:47terror. This is also a property of the
- 21:50Swadhisthana chakra. The Swadhisthana
- 21:52chakra is connected to our urogenital
- 21:54system. There is statistics that during
- 21:59executions, many people experience
- 22:01involuntary urination because the
- 22:03chakra is so agitated that it
- 22:05completely loses its functionality; it
- 22:07can no longer control anything. And
- 22:12that's it. And the processes related to
- 22:15it, that is, those on a physical level
- 22:17connected to the chakra, also go out of
- 22:19control, everything goes haywire, and
- 22:21urine is released, right? I mean, this
- 22:23is a well-known, um......a meme, if you
- 22:28will, known among the people. That if
- 22:31you get very scared, this happens. This
- 22:35is the Swadhisthana chakra. You need to
- 22:39understand that interacting with people
- 22:41who have a weak Swadhisthana chakra and
- 22:43whose consciousness is at the
- 22:45Swadhisthana chakra level, meaning
- 22:47their energy manifests mainly through
- 22:49the Swadhisthana chakra, is very
- 22:51difficult. You try to explain something
- 22:54to them, but they will do it their own
- 22:56way anyway. They are unteachable,
- 22:59simply unteachable. Unteachable. Plus,
- 23:02it can be very disappointing, for
- 23:04example, when this person messes
- 23:06something up, right? And how do they
- 23:09act? They mess something up, for
- 23:12instance, you said: "Let me help you."
- 23:14Okay, go ahead and help. Fine. This is
- 23:17your responsibility. Do this.
- 23:20Difficulties arise. The person cannot
- 23:22handle the difficulties. What do they
- 23:24do? They go into a stupor and stop
- 23:27picking up the phone. Everyone is
- 23:31calling them. They are desperate. How
- 23:33could this happen? I mean, you had such
- 23:35an important role, you let us down,
- 23:37they are calling, you don't pick up,
- 23:39you just went underground. That's it,
- 23:42this is a typical Swadhisthana chakra
- 23:44reaction. Okay, you think, well, that's
- 23:47it, we've lost the guy, for example.
- 23:50You think, well, how can I say it, you
- 23:53let us down, you deceived us, we now...
- 23:55well, I guess you won't show up again,
- 23:57you deceived us and that's that. Fine,
- 24:04a month later he appears, no apology,
- 24:07no "sorry," he just shows up as if
- 24:09nothing happened, as if nothing had
- 24:11occurred, and continues trying to
- 24:13interact with you. You say to him: "
- 24:18Friend," and he says, "What's the big
- 24:20deal?" These people are naive in their
- 24:23own way, they are innocent in their own
- 24:25way in the sense that they truly don't
- 24:27understand, like, "What's the big deal?
- 24:29" And for him, a crocodile is like...if
- 24:33, let's say, you get yourself a
- 24:35crocodile, put it in the bathtub to
- 24:37live, and feed it cat food. One day, if
- 24:39it gets hungry, it will think: "Oh,
- 24:41what a nice hand, I'm tired of this cat
- 24:44food." It will bite your hand off. The
- 24:47next day you come to it with a cast or
- 24:49a bandage, and you start scolding it: "
- 24:52Gena, Gena, why did you do that? I
- 24:55loved you, I fed you. We're friends,
- 24:57we're a team." It will say: "Why are
- 25:01you bothering me? I didn't mean any
- 25:04harm, I just wanted to eat, and I ate."
- 25:07That's how this person thinks. They
- 25:09don't think they've done anyone harm or
- 25:11will do any harm. They just never think
- 25:13about anyone. They think exclusively
- 25:15about themselves. Meaning, how do I get
- 25:17my benefit, how do I get my pleasure.
- 25:20That's it. So for this type of person,
- 25:24lying or betraying simply doesn't exist
- 25:26as a moral category, because, well,
- 25:29they live only for their own pleasure.
- 25:36So you need to understand, if you are
- 25:38dealing with a person at the
- 25:39svadhisthana chakra level, you need to
- 25:41understand what their level of
- 25:43responsibility is, what things to
- 25:45entrust to them and what not to, and
- 25:47what degree of control is needed for
- 25:49this person. That's how it is. What?
- 25:51And there is, yes, such a proverb.
- 25:57People say: "Nothing personal, it's
- 25:59just business." Just business. Meaning,
- 26:05I didn't want you any harm, I just
- 26:07wanted to eat, and I ate. I had you for
- 26:11breakfast. That's all. So these people
- 26:14don't understand "nothing personal,
- 26:16just business." That is the
- 26:20svadhisthana chakra. Look at reptiles,
- 26:24you'll find that they live precisely by
- 26:26these emotions. It goes into a stupor.
- 26:29Have you ever seen a lizard? It can
- 26:32just sit there. There are many lizards
- 26:34in India. When we were at the center,
- 26:38we stayed there for 3 months, and this
- 26:40lizard sat there above the doorway for
- 26:42a whole month. And it would turn its
- 26:45head for 5 minutes a day. It just sits
- 26:47there. And you get the feeling that
- 26:50it's a dead lizard, but actually it's
- 26:52alive. When a mosquito flies by, it
- 26:54eats it and continues just being there.
- 26:56Exactly the same with a crocodile. It's
- 26:59unclear whether it's alive or dead.
- 27:00Exactly. And such is the mind, such is
- 27:04the soul of a person whose energy
- 27:06manifests at the level of the
- 27:07svadhisthana chakra, whose chakra is
- 27:09unbalanced. That is the soul. You think
- 27:13, is he alive or is he dead? You talk
- 27:15to him, but whether he hears you or not
- 27:17is the question. These signals just
- 27:18don't get through. There you go. But
- 27:20that is a big problem. And often, a
- 27:23person is simply, well, not developed,
- 27:25and, well, it’s useless to try to get
- 27:28through to them. Sometimes a person
- 27:31seems developed, and it seems like
- 27:33their other centers are working, and
- 27:35they have flashes of insight from time
- 27:37to time, but then this Svadhisthana
- 27:38chakra triggers and that's it. And then
- 27:41they stop behaving like a human being.
- 27:44They become a problem for themselves.
- 27:47That is, all kinds of manias, phobias,
- 27:52addictions, passions, alcohol, and
- 27:55other things—they torment them. There
- 27:59you go. And they can see for themselves
- 28:02that their behavior is inadequate, at
- 28:04times even rude, but the rudeness has
- 28:06already happened, so what can you do?
- 28:09It's just a crude nature. And you will
- 28:13have to—once you’ve embarked on the
- 28:15spiritual path—strengthen and
- 28:17transform this center. And when you
- 28:20develop your Svadhisthana chakra,
- 28:22that's when a sense of taste, a sense
- 28:24of proportion, a sense of beauty, tact,
- 28:26and psychological insight arrive. Water
- 28:28is psychology, after all. It is the
- 28:31understanding of another person's soul
- 28:33and their emotions. There you go. And
- 28:36that is why you need to work on the
- 28:37Svadhisthana chakra. How do you work on
- 28:40the Svadhisthana chakra? First of all,
- 28:46asanas, yes, physical exercises. I will
- 28:49show you a few asanas now. I have them
- 28:53all in my playlists. Watch them, I
- 28:55explain in detail how to do them there.
- 28:58One asana is the Cow Face Pose. It’s
- 29:01the most important one for the
- 29:02Svadhisthana chakra. This is the Cow
- 29:12Face Pose. Here, the hips are
- 29:14compressed. There you go. And it has a
- 29:18very, very good and beneficial effect
- 29:20on the Svadhisthana chakra. Your world
- 29:23literally changes in half a year. But
- 29:26you have to understand that the
- 29:27Svadhisthana chakra is static by nature
- 29:29. That is, Tamas energy dominates there
- 29:32—the energy of static, motionless,
- 29:35and sluggish states. To change it, you
- 29:37need to work on yourself painstakingly,
- 29:39slowly, and persistently for a long
- 29:42time. And if you do the asana for half
- 29:44a year, twice a day, you will start to
- 29:47see slow shifts taking place. But also,
- 29:50once you have changed it, it doesn't
- 29:52revert as quickly as other chakras.
- 29:54Once you’ve changed it, it stays
- 29:56changed. That is this position. Next is
- 30:00this Yoga Mudra. Then Dirga Pranayama.
- 30:27The Locust Pose. The Camel Pose. And in
- 30:54general, working on your abs also helps
- 31:01restore the health of the Svadhisthana
- 31:03chakra. Then these ones for opening up
- 31:07are also good asanas for the Muladhara
- 31:09chakra. Here is a complex version of
- 31:16Baddha Konasana. Like this. These are
- 31:27the asanas. There are also breathing
- 31:32exercises. And that's it. With the
- 31:37Svadhisthana chakra, that is, if it is
- 31:39weak, problems arise in the
- 31:41genitourinary or reproductive sphere.
- 31:43That is, uh the nerves are unable to
- 31:50control, that is, there can be loss of
- 31:52semen, for example, this is a
- 31:54Svadhisthana chakra problem. These are
- 31:59irregular or painful periods. This is a
- 32:03Svadhisthana chakra problem, this is
- 32:05impotence, these are various, um,
- 32:10inflammations, and so on. Uh, so, the
- 32:13malfunction of the reproductive sphere
- 32:15is entirely a Svadhisthana chakra
- 32:17problem. Make the chakra stronger, and
- 32:20these problems go away too. I remember
- 32:23one student I had, well, I was holding
- 32:25yoga classes, she kept coming, and then
- 32:28she shares, saying: "Yes, you know, I
- 32:30realized what was wrong with me." I
- 32:33think, what could be wrong, what was
- 32:35she missing? She says: "I suffered and
- 32:38struggled all my life when my period,
- 32:41the menstrual cycle, came around. It
- 32:45was painful, I went through it very,
- 32:48very heavily. And here I've been doing
- 32:52yoga for a couple of months, and my
- 32:53period passed, everything was fine, as
- 32:58if nothing had happened. And I only
- 33:01just realized this now." Can you
- 33:03imagine how yoga works? I said, really?
- 33:07So, you align, the cobra pose also acts
- 33:10on the Svadhisthana chakra. You, uh, by
- 33:16means of asanas, you force the energy,
- 33:21the prana, to circulate properly. You
- 33:24remove blocks, and it begins, that is,
- 33:27the chakra starts to heal, it starts to
- 33:29recover. Well, plus physical
- 33:31compression, stretching of the organs
- 33:33in this area. All this helps. That is
- 33:37one point. Asanas. Moving on. Breathing
- 33:40. You can act on every chakra with the
- 33:43help of breathing. And there is a
- 33:46series of such exercises. They are
- 33:48called mudras. Breathing mudras. This
- 33:51is akin to pranayama. Pranayama. You
- 33:55need to concentrate on the Svadhisthana
- 33:57chakra. Yes. Well, and six fingers down
- 34:00. Or more precisely for men, if you
- 34:04take where the organ exits the body,
- 34:07right there, that point, yes, this one
- 34:09here, that is, the base of the sexual
- 34:11organ, is the control point of the
- 34:14Svadhisthana chakra. Mentally, you lie
- 34:20in the corpse pose, in Shavasana, you
- 34:22lie like this. And mentally you direct
- 34:27your mind to this center. Feel this
- 34:30point. Locate this point. Over time,
- 34:33your mind becomes sensitive. And when
- 34:35you touch this controlling point, you
- 34:37feel something like electricity. That
- 34:39is, you touched the field around it. It
- 34:43tickles here. That is, you get a
- 34:46sensation like electricity. Fix your
- 34:49mind there. Further, your feeling, your
- 34:54ideation, is that the whole space, the
- 34:57infinite cosmos, is energy, is life
- 35:00energy, is prana. And as you inhale,
- 35:05you begin to absorb this prana, but
- 35:07imagine you aren't breathing through
- 35:09your nose, rather, you are inhaling it
- 35:11through your second center, the
- 35:13Svadhishthana chakra. And when you
- 35:16exhale, you release it like the tide,
- 35:18ebbing and flowing. Inhale and exhale.
- 35:22Inhale and exhale. Those who have an
- 35:24individual mantra, it's also good to
- 35:26repeat it during each inhalation and
- 35:28exhalation. This exercise is beneficial
- 35:31if done in the morning, meaning before
- 35:349:00 AM. After 9:00 AM, it will
- 35:36actually be harmful. Yes. Because the
- 35:40quality of prana and the space's energy
- 35:42changes. Therefore, it should only be
- 35:45done in the morning. And the earlier in
- 35:48the morning, the better. This is a
- 35:51breathing exercise you can do to
- 35:52strengthen your Svadhishthana chakra.
- 35:54It consists of seven inhalations and
- 35:56seven exhalations. That is, inhale,
- 35:58exhale, inhale-exhale, seven cycles.
- 36:01You don't need to do more. Don't get
- 36:04carried away with these breathing
- 36:05exercises, because without
- 36:07understanding and proper guidance, you
- 36:09can destabilize your prana. That is
- 36:12dangerous. It can lead to insomnia,
- 36:15mental unrest, and agitation instead of
- 36:17calming you down. Therefore, seven
- 36:21cycles are enough. What else can be
- 36:26done? The Svadhishthana chakra is water
- 36:29. Mmm, water, a water element.
- 36:34Therefore, it is also healed with the
- 36:36help of water. Drink water, drink a
- 36:39sufficient amount of water per day. The
- 36:43prescription yogis give for drinking
- 36:45water is 3 liters a day. 3 liters of
- 36:48water. Water specifically. Not tea, not
- 36:51coffee; water, pure water. Drink water.
- 36:55Because of this, the Svadhishthana
- 36:57chakra is greatly strengthened and
- 36:59improved. Furthermore, the intestines
- 37:02are connected to the Svadhishthana
- 37:04chakra and the Muladhara chakra as well
- 37:06. If there is constipation, agitation
- 37:10will occur in the Svadhishthana chakra.
- 37:13Constipation is a terrible thing. It is
- 37:16a terrible thing for physical health
- 37:18because toxins are absorbed into the
- 37:20body, and the body is poisoned by these
- 37:22toxins. And on a mental level, it is
- 37:26also a thing that, well, breaks you
- 37:28down and causes degeneration. That is,
- 37:31this constipation stimulates the lower
- 37:33vrittis within us. Avoid food that
- 37:38inflames the intestines. This is food
- 37:42of a static nature. It is what
- 37:45strengthens these demonic tendencies
- 37:47within us that reside in the lower
- 37:49chakras. And it makes this energy
- 37:53coarse; consequently, coarse energy
- 37:56wants to manifest in the lower centers,
- 37:58not the upper ones. This food is meat,
- 38:01fish, eggs, onions, garlic, and
- 38:04mushrooms. Tamasic food, static food.
- 38:08If you eat this food, it is much harder
- 38:10to take control of the lower centers.
- 38:14Moderation and physical restraint,
- 38:17right? So, if a person is, let's say,
- 38:22not restrained in their sexual instinct
- 38:24, well, that's it, it’s destruction
- 38:27for the Svadhishthana chakra. Therefore
- 38:32, such a recommendation is given,
- 38:34meaning the less, the better, actually.
- 38:38But usually people, it’s a very
- 38:40strong tendency in people, and it’s
- 38:42hard for them to control themselves
- 38:44here. At the very least, there is a
- 38:47recommendation to do it no more than
- 38:49four times a month. No more than four
- 38:51times a month. If it’s more,
- 38:53degradation begins. Meaning,
- 38:55degradation of health and mental decay
- 38:57as well. Well, naturally, one must
- 39:01abstain from all negative practices,
- 39:03like masturbation and so on. Because
- 39:06that is destructive. It is basically a
- 39:08sure path to the destruction of the
- 39:10Svadhishthana chakra. If a child, if
- 39:12his parents didn't teach him to abstain
- 39:15from this, didn't inspire him, and if
- 39:17he, well, started doing it, then 100%he
- 39:19will have problems with the
- 39:21Svadhishthana chakra in the future. So,
- 39:25one needs to be very careful here. Next
- 39:29, the following practice is when we
- 39:31have gone to the toilet, and urine has
- 39:36come out, urine is polluting. Urine
- 39:39pollutes, it needs to be washed off.
- 39:43Urine is considered the most polluting
- 39:45fluid, very Tamasic, very dark by
- 39:47nature. Its energy is very dark. And
- 39:53after you have used the toilet, it is
- 39:55necessary to wash your organs. Whether
- 39:59you went number one or number two, you
- 40:01wash those organs. That’s cleanliness
- 40:03. And also, when you cool them with
- 40:05water, it’s very good. Because any
- 40:07residue of urine is flushed out. And so
- 40:10, cleanliness on the outside,
- 40:11cleanliness on the inside, this
- 40:13supports health. There. And there is
- 40:16also, well, take a look at this topic.
- 40:19I have a playlist called "Acquiring
- 40:21Soul Power." And there are 16 points in
- 40:24it. And the first eight points are, in
- 40:27one way or another, related to the
- 40:29lower centers, to controlling the lower
- 40:31centers. Proper nutrition, cooling,
- 40:38cleanliness. There is also such an
- 40:41amazing thing, really cool, well, for
- 40:44men. It’s called a langota or kaupina
- 40:48. We wear underwear, right? And the
- 40:54organs. Look at what kind of underwear
- 40:56it is. Everything can just dangle
- 40:59freely. Well. Accordingly, stimulation
- 41:02occurs. Nerves get touched somewhere,
- 41:04it goes directly to the brain, and this
- 41:06cascade reaction begins. Meaning, the
- 41:08production of hormones is triggered,
- 41:10the transformation of your energy, and
- 41:13so on. In short, a whole hell breaks
- 41:16loose. Well. And in order to avoid this
- 41:19, we take a number of precautions. We
- 41:22use this langota or kaupina. It is a
- 41:25type of loincloth. You pull it tight
- 41:28and everything is fixed in place. All
- 41:30thanks to the langota. I remember the
- 41:32first time I put on a langota, I felt:
- 41:35"Wow, I am a demigod." That is, at the
- 41:39moment when your energy is not wasted
- 41:41through the svadhishthana chakra, there
- 41:44is no constant stimulation, no pulling,
- 41:46pulling, and draining, drop by drop,
- 41:49your spiritual energy. Maybe a little
- 41:51bit, but slowly, slowly it wastes,
- 41:53wastes, wastes, and you are always in
- 41:55some kind of weakness. I mean, you
- 41:57didn't even suspect you were in
- 41:59weakness until you experienced strength
- 42:01. I remember the first time I put it on
- 42:05, I said: "Wow, now I know how it feels
- 42:07to be human." Yeah. Well, it had a
- 42:10fantastic effect on me. I felt the
- 42:12energy in my anahata chakra. I felt
- 42:15like a confident man, so powerful. I
- 42:18think: "Wow, I want to live like this
- 42:20forever." So that's this underwear.
- 42:24That is, yogis have developed various
- 42:26tricks and devices to control, uh, to
- 42:28prevent the waste of energy through the
- 42:30second center, through the
- 42:32svadhishthana chakra. Cooling,
- 42:37cleanliness, using water, and washing.
- 42:40That is, the more you deal with water,
- 42:43the better it is for the svadhishthana
- 42:45chakra, because it is the water factor.
- 42:50And for the muladhara chakra, by the
- 42:52way, when you deal with the earth,
- 42:54digging in the garden, or doing
- 42:56construction, or engaging in some
- 42:58specific earthly things, it also
- 43:00strengthens the muladhara chakra,
- 43:02stabilizes you, and grounds you. It's
- 43:06also good to do that. Yeah. Well, for
- 43:08the svadhishthana chakra, you interact
- 43:10with the water factor. Water gives
- 43:12strength to the svadhishthana chakra.
- 43:15Yeah. Well, these are the main
- 43:17recommendations. And there is more, but
- 43:20this is done only by the prescription
- 43:22of an acarya, your meditation teacher.
- 43:26You cannot do this on your own. Yeah.
- 43:30But if there are specific cases that
- 43:32require it, then a special pranayama, a
- 43:34breathing practice aimed at
- 43:36strengthening the svadhishthana chakra,
- 43:38is prescribed. This is also a very
- 43:41powerful practice. It is called
- 43:43ampha-pranayama. Amhashi pranayama.
- 43:50Yeah. Well, it seems I have covered all
- 43:53the main points for control. And, of
- 43:56course, the main, the main practice for
- 43:58development—this was all mainly on
- 44:00the physical level, but I was talking
- 44:02about development. This is what can be
- 44:06open to everyone and what is absolutely
- 44:08safe. Everyone can do these things. It
- 44:11is absolutely safe. Besides this, there
- 44:15are things that must be practiced with
- 44:16caution and under the prescription of
- 44:18your spiritual teacher. And these
- 44:21things are very, very powerful. In
- 44:24meditation practice, there exists what
- 44:26is called tattva dharana and chakra
- 44:28shodhana. These are two practices you
- 44:32receive during personal instruction.
- 44:35Once you have meditated for a
- 44:36sufficient number of hours and received
- 44:38a personal initiation, then practiced
- 44:41for a sufficient number of hours again,
- 44:43you are initiated into these chakra
- 44:45meditation practices. And this is the
- 44:47most direct, most powerful practice in
- 44:49its effect. On the chakras, the one
- 44:52that comes from the mind. We are
- 44:54currently working from the body side,
- 44:56yes, but there is also the side of the
- 44:58mind. There. There. Well, God willing,
- 45:03go ahead, practice, work, and keep
- 45:05reviewing the 16 points in that "
- 45:07Acquiring Spiritual Strength" course.
- 45:13And there, those discussions on
- 45:15biopsychology and the chakras justify
- 45:17the need for practicing those sixteen
- 45:19points. Because no matter what high
- 45:26meditation you engage in, or how high
- 45:28your aspirations may be, if there isn't
- 45:30enough strength in the lower centers,
- 45:32they will flare up at some point, and
- 45:34all your energy will be drained there.
- 45:38And no matter what you have accumulated
- 45:40, no matter how high you have soared
- 45:42into the heavens, you will fall back to
- 45:43the ground very, very painfully because
- 45:45your lower chakras are not under
- 45:47control. Yes. And this happens all the
- 45:49time. Just believe me, it happens
- 45:51constantly. It is a major problem for
- 45:57humanity right now, especially with the
- 45:59svadhishthana chakra, because of how
- 46:01upbringing and the growth process work;
- 46:03for many, this center is not in order.
- 46:08Yes. But even if it's not in order,
- 46:11even if you’ve spent your whole life,
- 46:14I don’t know, suffering from
- 46:15constipation for the last 30 years and
- 46:17doing everything to destroy that
- 46:19svadhishthana chakra, through yoga
- 46:21practice, you can restore and heal it.
- 46:25That’s all for now. We'll meet again
- 46:27after the svadhishthana chakra when we
- 46:29talk about the manipura chakra. Dear
- 46:32friends, thank you for watching the
- 46:34video. It is part of the "Meditation
- 46:37Lessons" project. This is an online
- 46:40resource for mastering the foundations
- 46:42of yoga and meditation. To ensure this
- 46:45learning is not chaotic, but systemic.
- 46:49Yoga is 99%practice and 1%theory. I
- 46:52recommend that you subscribe to the
- 46:54newsletter. To do this, go to "
- 46:56meditation lessons" as one word:
- 46:59meditation.rf. Leave your email address
- 47:02and city there. From that moment on,
- 47:04you will start receiving video lessons.
- 47:06These video lessons provide specific
- 47:08practices followed by homework
- 47:10assignments. You receive these,
- 47:12practice them, and then the next lesson
- 47:15arrives. And in this way, you very
- 47:17systematically, competently, and
- 47:19smoothly master this science, this
- 47:21subtle science of meditation. The
- 47:23course turned out to be very inspiring.
- 47:26I am receiving wonderful feedback from
- 47:28listeners, many very kind words. And I
- 47:31am inspired myself. I mean, I didn't
- 47:33think it was possible to teach like
- 47:35this over the internet. Actually, it
- 47:37turns out to be even more effective
- 47:39than in-person training because there's
- 47:41a solid, reliable system here. Yeah. So
- 47:46subscribe, and when you don't want to
- 47:48wait three days for the next episode,
- 47:50you can use the YouTube channel;
- 47:52subscribe to it, and you'll get all the
- 47:54latest updates and all those
- 47:56inspirations that suddenly dawn on me
- 47:58—they get recorded, so they’re all
- 48:00yours. And the environment on the
- 48:04YouTube channel is very democratic and
- 48:06broad. I mean, there are long lectures
- 48:08for those who like listening to
- 48:10two-hour sessions, but there are also
- 48:12short inspirations, physical practices,
- 48:14meditative practices, and philosophical
- 48:17topics. Yeah. So, dive in, subscribe,
- 48:19and if you like it, share it with your
- 48:22friends. I would be very grateful for
- 48:24that too. All the best.
