2:24light of the world I'm the size
2:28but

2:49people gentlemen here are the
2:51heterosexual guys with the Bible Welcome

2:56right my name is Pastor Mark so excited
2:58to have you and we're in the middle of a
3:00sermon series on Elijah and so what I'm
3:03doing is a little four-part series and
3:05we're looking at this case study of this
3:08relationship between a man named Ahab
3:10and his crazy hot wife Jezebel so uh
3:14today's talk is 29 signs of the
3:16Jezebel's fair so we're going to put up
3:17a number and if you'd like to send in a
3:19photo of your girlfriend or ex-wife
3:21we'll pick 29. amen
3:25I mean no I'm just kidding we're not
3:26gonna do that some of the dudes are like
3:28I got it okay so here's the background
3:31of the story of Isaiah if you want to
3:33know more we're in it every weekend
3:34there's a full study guide First Kings
3:3617 through second king stew and the case
3:39study is this there is a king he's
3:42passive his name is Ahab he's got a wife
3:44she's seductive and controlling her name
3:47is
3:48Jezebel and they're up against the
3:51prophet of God Elijah and so we're
3:53saying that these are not just three
3:55people who used to live but the spirits
3:58that empowered them continue their work
4:00in new days today the Ahab Spirit would
4:03cause people but especially men to be
4:06passive indifferent silent it causes
4:09people but oftentimes women to be like
4:11Jezebel domineering and high controlling
4:14and what happens is if you tolerate they
4:17will dominate that's how the
4:18relationship works and then there is
4:21Elijah filled with the spirit of God up
4:23against the spirit of Jezebel and the
4:25spirit of Ahab we've established as well
4:28some people are fully possessed meaning
4:31their personality and this Spirit are
4:33indistinguishable this Spirit starts to
4:36overtake their personality and decision
4:38making sometimes this will be clinically
4:41diagnosed dissociative identity disorder
4:43multiple personality disorder people
4:45will talk about hearing voices and
4:47sometimes it is just medical or hormonal
4:50or chemical but sometimes it's spiritual
4:52second phase people are not possessed
4:54and controlled but oppressed they got
4:56going to get disoriented when they're
4:58around these Spirits they lose their
4:59bearings they get exhausted they get
5:01confused they get brain fog it's a bit
5:03of spiritual warfare third
5:06some people just have these proclivities
5:07and tendencies some of you would be more
5:10Ahab if you don't pay attention and have
5:12just an intentionality about your life
5:14you're going to be more passive you're
5:16going to go backward now forward you're
5:18going to avoid conflict not say and do
5:20what should be done others of you your
5:22personality is going to be domineering
5:24overbearing right you're going to be the
5:26one who is in control and not going to
5:29be controlled that can be a personality
5:31or a tendency we're going to look at all
5:33of this and two things by way of preface
5:36and then we'll jump in number one a man
5:39or a woman can have an Ahab or a Jezebel
5:41spirit or tendency
5:43some women are controlling some men are
5:45controlling some men are passive some
5:46women are passive in my experience it's
5:49oftentimes men who are more Ahab passive
5:51those women in relationship with those
5:53men more domineering overbearing and
5:56controlling number two Jezebel is a lot
5:59harder to get rid of
6:01more difficult to defeat for this reason
6:03it's about what control
6:07and so Christianity is about being under
6:10Authority not being in authority
6:12it's about being controlled by the Holy
6:14Spirit not controlling others
6:16and it's not about dominating it's about
6:19surrendering that's how you become a
6:21Christian say God you're in charge not
6:23me you're in control not me you tell me
6:26what to do I don't tell everybody else
6:28what to do
6:29because the Jezebel tenancy is about
6:32control it's more difficult to get rid
6:35of something that is jezebelian than
6:38something that is Ahab
6:40that being said I want to start in
6:42Revelation Chapter 2 and uh Jezebel was
6:46a woman that lived in the Days of Elijah
6:48Jesus rebukes a church in thyatira in
6:51Revelation 2 it's a thousand years later
6:54so we know it's not the same person but
6:57it's the same Spirit working through a
7:00different person so here's what Jezebel
7:02says our Jesus says rather to Jezebel I
7:04Jesus have this against you Jesus
7:07confronts Jezebel
7:09just like Elijah in the old Covenant
7:12confronted Jezebel Jesus confronts
7:14Jezebel just like Ahab was tolerating
7:17enduring passive toward Jezebel here in
7:21the church at thyatira apparently the
7:23men
7:24passive they were tolerating and so
7:28Jesus has to be the Elijah you tolerate
7:31that woman Jezebel if you tolerate they
7:34will dominate if you don't speak they
7:36will speak if you don't lead they will
7:38lead if you do not activate they will
7:40dominate
7:42she calls herself a prophetess she says
7:44she's very spiritual oftentimes The
7:46Jezebel spirit is very spiritual and
7:48very sensual
7:50loves church loves to weaponize the
7:52Bible loves to misquote the scriptures
7:55loves to use even God's word to
7:57manipulate and control others
8:00calls herself a prophetess and is
8:02teaching and I always say if they can't
8:04teach they try to block that's just how
8:06this works but they're going to make
8:07sure to tell everyone what they think
8:10seducing my servants we'll get into this
8:13for you single guys
8:14you single guys need to know you meet a
8:16guy you meet a girl immediately you're
8:18like she's hot so is hell
8:20you know hit the brakes hit the brakes
8:23hit the brakes okay you're like oh she's
8:26gonna take me to bed her bed's in hell
8:28you don't want to go there okay she's
8:30seductive she's seducing she's
8:32flirtatious she's cute she knows how to
8:36flatter
8:37yeah she looks She's like you're amazing
8:39and you know you're not but it sounds
8:40good so you're gonna go with it you're
8:43so handsome no one's ever said that
8:44because it's a lie okay because it's a
8:47lie that's a lie
8:49and seducing my servants to practice
8:52sexual immorality to eat food sacrifice
8:55to Idols to do evil God's patient he
8:57says I gave her time to repent but she
8:59refuses to repent of her sexual
9:02immorality so here's what it usually
9:05looks like someone who is domineering
9:08overbearing highly emotional
9:10manipulative flattering controlling if
9:13it's a woman seductive wants to get as
9:15close to the leadership as possible and
9:18wants you to compromise your integrity
9:20and wants you to tolerate their attitude
9:22so they can dominate your life
9:25seven things that the Jezebels hate are
9:27you ready
9:28okay some of you are like no but I'm
9:31sending this to my wife great oh that's
9:32fine too so seven things Jezebels hate
9:35and then 22 things Jezebel's control
9:37number one Jezebel's hate Authority
9:40in the story of Elijah Ahab is in
9:45control and she hates him and dominates
9:47him
9:48there are eight there are prophets of
9:50God she murders them
9:52uh Elijah is the man of God with the
9:55Holy Spirit and she absolutely opposes
9:57and attacks him
9:59there's a guy named naboth who's got a
10:01uh a piece of land and and he has legal
10:04right so she murders him to take it if
10:07you are in Authority she hates you
10:09because she hates Authority she wants to
10:12be in Authority will not be under
10:14Authority in fact the Holy Spirit
10:16reminds me the name Jezebel means
10:17without husband
10:19now she's married but she doesn't act
10:22like it she's fiercely independent
10:25in addition hates the word no
10:27oftentimes you're not aware that you're
10:30dealing with someone who leans more
10:32Jezebel until you say this really very
10:36controversial word
10:38no
10:40all of a sudden their personality
10:42changes
10:43everything's fine as long as you say yes
10:45everything changes as soon as you say no
10:47some of you know exactly what this is
10:49like we were doing fine until I said no
10:51and then wow I lit the wick and there
10:54was an explosion
10:55they don't like being told no and if you
10:58tell them no they are going to threaten
11:00you intimidate you attack you malign you
11:03form an alliance against you and if that
11:05doesn't work cry say they're a victim
11:07and manipulate you
11:09the goal is to get their way
11:11in addition they do not like to lose
11:14so there's an occasion you'll see it
11:16coming up in the story of Elijah there
11:19is a showdown between the 850 paid
11:22profits of bail and Astra versus the
11:24anointed man of God Elijah Elijah calls
11:27down fire from heaven God smokes 850
11:30false prophets they all were employed by
11:33Jezebel it says that they ate at her
11:34table meaning she provided for all of
11:36their income
11:38and though she lost she couldn't handle
11:40it so what does she say First Kings 19
11:43I'm putting a bounty on Elijah's head
11:47the demons can attack me if he's not
11:49dead by this time tomorrow she puts a
11:5124-hour bounty on his head
11:54if you in business or in a divorce or in
11:59a custody agreement or even just an
12:02argument or a Bible study sort of have a
12:05victory over a jezebel it ain't over
12:08they're coming back they do not take
12:10losing well also they do not number four
12:13take a rebuke or correction
12:16throughout the entire life of Jezebel
12:18not one time is she ever confronted with
12:22her wrongdoing and agrees every time she
12:25disagrees Elijah the prophet keeps
12:28telling her here's what God says she
12:30doesn't care
12:31there's no repenting there's no
12:33relenting there is no recognizing of
12:36wrongdoing
12:38and if you rebuke them you're not going
12:40to get a response from them that they
12:42are acknowledging that they have done
12:44wrong they will shoot the messenger they
12:46will change the subject they will make
12:49an excuse they will get emotional they
12:52will say that you're being mean-spirited
12:54anything other than your right I'm wrong
12:56I'm sorry
12:58in addition they hate the grace of God
13:02they hate the grace of God
13:04she hates the grace of God that is at
13:07work in and through Elijah
13:09and over and over and over this is how
13:12these people work especially those who
13:14are more religious and in the church
13:17I like to call it law for you Grace for
13:19me
13:21law for you Grace for me meaning I'm
13:23going to judge you and I have a problem
13:25with you and I didn't like this and you
13:27did that wrong and this hurt my feelings
13:29and this wasn't said right and I don't
13:31think your heart was right and that if
13:33you confront them well Grace for me
13:36nobody's perfect you should be more
13:38loving that's not very kind
13:41well it's Grace for everybody law for
13:43everybody but if it's Grace for me and
13:47law for you that's weaponizing and
13:49abusing the word of God that's how these
13:52people work in addition they hate men
13:56Again The Jezebel tendency can be in a
13:58man or a woman but how many men how many
14:02men does Jezebel in the story respect
14:04and honor zero
14:06she dominates her husband she attacks
14:09Elijah she murders the prophets of God
14:12she closes the Bible teaching schools in
14:16addition there's a guy named naboth and
14:18she wants to steal his land so she
14:20murders him
14:22every man she comes in contact with
14:25she's a black widow
14:27she is unsafe and dangerous she hates
14:30men
14:32oftentimes this takes root in a woman's
14:36life I'll talk about it a little bit at
14:37the end through trauma or abuse
14:40this is one of the reason why men
14:43tolerate women who are more like Jezebel
14:47I'm not saying they have the Demonic
14:49Spirit maybe it's demonic possession or
14:52oppression or tendency
14:53but if you know a woman you know that
14:55she's had abuse or trauma you know why
14:58she's so controlling because she doesn't
15:00want to be hurt again
15:01and or you know why she's so controlling
15:04that someone controlled her and she's
15:06never going to be in that position again
15:08she's made it in her vow I will not be
15:10controlled I will be controlling I will
15:13not be dominated I will be dominant
15:15that's the inner vow and if you love
15:18this person maybe it's your wife
15:20maybe it's your daughter
15:22if you love this person maybe it's your
15:24mother maybe it's your grandmother
15:27or he could just feel the air
15:28conditioning come on got so chilly
15:31you know that they've had some trauma or
15:34abuse so you understand why they are the
15:37way they are so you tolerate it but
15:40here's the point that doesn't heal them
15:43that doesn't heal them
15:45they need help
15:47they need healing
15:49I'll talk about this a little more at
15:51the end but just because you understand
15:53the problem doesn't mean you're helping
15:55until you provide a solution
15:58I know you've been through a lot I know
16:00your first husband did this I know your
16:02boyfriend did that I know your dad was
16:04like this I know your grandfather was
16:06like that I know you were molested when
16:08you were little I know that horrible
16:10things happen to you in college when you
16:12had too much to drink I I understand I'm
16:15sorry but we need to get you some help
16:19because what happened to you there
16:21changed you and it wasn't for the better
16:25these women they really struggle with
16:27men
16:28the woman in the story Jezebel she hates
16:32Elijah the most she is committed to his
16:35destruction
16:36he's the godliest safest man in the
16:40story and she thinks he is the biggest
16:42threat and the gravest danger
16:45number seven truthfulness
16:47Jezebel through the story she is
16:49consistently dishonest
16:52because if your goal is control you will
16:56do or say whatever allows you to be
16:58dominant and in control
17:00including lie
17:02so a jezebel doesn't live in the world
17:04of right and wrong and true and false
17:07and good and evil they live in the world
17:09of winning and losing
17:11and in the name of winning they're
17:13capable of saying and doing almost
17:15anything
17:16so there's a guy again his name is
17:19naboth he's got this piece of land her
17:21husband wants it NABA tells him no
17:23Jezebel goes and she comes up with a
17:26tremendous lie she says naboth cursed
17:29the king and God
17:31so they murdered him as she took the
17:33land
17:34for those of you know the story is any
17:36of that true no
17:39he was an innocent man he said and did
17:42nothing wrong she just lied and had it
17:44murdered and stole his lamb
17:48you know you're up against something
17:50that is more jezebelian when they'll say
17:52or do anything for the victory there's
17:55not much conscience if any
17:5822 things Jezebel's control let me just
18:00summarize it if I could break it down to
18:03two categories these are the two
18:05categories that Jezebel tries to control
18:06everyone and everything those are the
18:09two categories
18:11and what you'll find is if you tolerate
18:14a jezebel in one area they're moving on
18:16to the next
18:18some of you have dated these gals been
18:19married to these gals done business with
18:22these gals like well I'll just let them
18:24control the schedule they move on to the
18:26checkbook I'll let them have the
18:27checkbook great then they're going to
18:29take the kids
18:30they just keep going
18:32their goal is like Satan to rule and
18:35Reign to be Sovereign to operate over
18:38everyone and everything and as long as
18:40you tolerate they will continue to
18:42extend their Rule and Reign it is
18:44spiritual warfare
18:46number one they will control
18:47relationships
18:49if you're going to have a relationship
18:50with them it's on their terms
18:53if you're going to have a friend group
18:54they're going to control the friend
18:55group you can't talk to them you need to
18:57side with me you guess them if they're
18:59in your family there's all this
19:01triangulation in politics
19:03are you with that side of the family or
19:05our side of the family are you for or
19:07against and holidays and birthdays and
19:10events you're like this just became so
19:12complicated why because someone is
19:14controlling all the relationships and
19:16they keep pitting one side against
19:18another in battle
19:19number two they control the money
19:22they control the money
19:24in Israel this was the king and the
19:26Queen
19:27she opened churches
19:29she ran events she had a staff she
19:33controlled the money
19:35if you let Jezebel get in control of the
19:38checkbook they will control everything
19:40if you have a jezebel in a company
19:42they're not the leader but they make
19:45themselves the leader they control
19:47through the finances and the spending
19:49Jezebel loves to get their hands on the
19:52checkbook this is like Judas
19:55Jesus is doing Ministry Judas has his
19:58hands in the cookie jar
20:00got to be very careful you get an Elijah
20:02in the finances not a jezebel
20:05in addition number three Jezebel's
20:07control governance
20:09says that she was a queen of Israel in
20:13the Old Testament and she called herself
20:15a prophetess in the New Testament she
20:18likes titles where she's the boss
20:20these people love titles
20:23they love Authority they love to be in
20:26charge they want to govern
20:28if they're in the church they want to
20:30get as close to the leader and have as
20:32much voice as possible
20:34if this is in your family even if
20:37they're an extended relative not even
20:39immediate family they're going to try
20:42and rule over your family they're going
20:44to tell you what to do with your
20:45marriage and your money and your kids
20:47and your grandkids and education and
20:50housing and church you don't have to
20:52invite them in they'll just start
20:54bossing you around
20:55and if you tolerate they will dominate
20:59they love governance they want to be in
21:03control they need to be in charge
21:07and so they and this is a religious
21:09spirit it's where Jesus says it showed
21:12up at the church at thyatira man have
21:14you ever been in a church where a
21:16jezebel showed up
21:18like they've been there 15 minutes
21:19they've already made their way to the
21:21senior pastor got an email into the
21:23board posted something on social media
21:25called in a blogger and then declared
21:28war and you're like we you didn't even
21:30fill out the greeter form yet like you
21:33you don't do Jesus you do Jihad you're
21:36going right for the throat day one
21:39that's how these people and oftentimes
21:40they're well we'll talk about this
21:42they're very spiritual the Lord told me
21:44I had a vision oh a demon told you and
21:46you had a nightmare
21:48in addition number five
21:50um I'll tell you what I think uh number
21:52five they hate preaching
21:55what Jezebel did in the Old Testament
21:57there was a whole bunch of Bible
21:58teachers she slaughtered all of them
22:01there were schools to Train bible
22:03teachers she closed them
22:06there's one guy left who's preaching
22:08Elijah and she puts a bounty on his head
22:12they don't like to be preached at
22:15they don't like to be under Authority
22:17they don't like to learn they don't like
22:19to repent and the preaching of God's
22:21word triggers them
22:23it triggers them
22:25in addition they control information
22:28giving it back to the story of naboth
22:30he's got a piece of land her husband
22:31Ahab wants it he goes to negotiate the
22:34deal he doesn't get the deal he goes
22:36home he throws a fit like a petulant
22:38child
22:39what Jezebel does is then she forges his
22:42signature
22:44falsely accuses naboth has him killed
22:48steals his land
22:50orges her husband the king's signature
22:53and he has no idea
22:55she controls information
22:57these people are more covert than overt
23:01it's all of a sudden you think you know
23:05them and then you realize oh you've been
23:07reading my text you've been reading my
23:08emails you've you've hacked our company
23:10server
23:12you wouldn't talk to a bunch of other
23:13people to kind of do an investigation on
23:17me you've met with relatives or
23:19co-workers
23:21and they have a lot of information but
23:23it's like a poker player they don't
23:24share it till it benefits them
23:26they love to hold information
23:29and and let me say this if you give a
23:31piece of information to a jezebel guess
23:34what they're going to do they're going
23:35to weaponize it against you
23:37got to be very careful
23:39they love to control data and
23:41information because it's a way to
23:43control
23:44these are the people that like to get
23:46themselves into the center of gossip
23:48these are the people who spend their
23:50life on social media gathering
23:52information and peering in on other
23:53people's lives these are people who in
23:56discussions open really nefarious
23:59open-ended questions well tell me about
24:01so-and-so where do they live how much do
24:04they make what's their marriage like
24:06they're always gathering information and
24:08they hold it
24:10and they're very covert this was Judah
24:12saskarian he was very covert
24:15the the opposite of that is Peter in the
24:18disciples Peter's overt you never asked
24:21you zero times you got to ask Peter what
24:23are you thinking he's telling you
24:25know he's just telling you Judas you
24:28don't know
24:29if you would have looked at the story of
24:31Jesus and said okay one of these 12 guys
24:34is going to murder him I don't think any
24:36of us would have picked Judas like that
24:38dude never said or did anything
24:40he was just off in the corner
24:42controlling the money gathering
24:44information covertly making plans
24:48sometimes you don't know that these
24:49people are plotting against you until
24:51the day comes when they destroy you
24:54in addition number seven they'll have
24:55access to the senior leader
24:58if you're a leader in your business if
25:00you're a leader in your community if
25:01you're a leader in our church if you're
25:03a leader in your home or family
25:05this Spirit wants to get as close to the
25:07top as possible
25:10Ahab is the king Jezebel's the queen
25:12say it another way Ahab is the head
25:15Jezebel is the neck
25:17he's the figurehead but she's the
25:19control
25:20and they like to get to leadership I'll
25:22tell you this I've been doing this job
25:2427 years
25:26as soon as I just uh this will be fun
25:30this will be like therapeutic for me so
25:33I'll never forget the first time we had
25:35a very tiny little Core group I was in
25:38my 20s young Pastor didn't know what I
25:41was doing I mean our church is like the
25:43size of a Mormon family it's like not a
25:45big deal you know
25:47um
25:48and uh and so we finally get a gal comes
25:52to the ministry she's a really great
25:54gifted talented musician and she walks
25:58right up to me
25:59my wife's standing there ignores my wife
26:02completely ignores my wife comes up
26:04grabs my hand looks me in the eye and
26:06introduces herself
26:08Jezebel
26:11he said the Pastor I just would really
26:12love to get a cup of coffee my wife is
26:15an Elijah
26:16right so she got in the middle she's
26:18like you need to leave forever uh that's
26:21my wife you know I so and I was like
26:24honey how did she said I know those
26:25women
26:26they go right up to the leader they get
26:29real close they tell their sad tale they
26:33suck you in to rescue them and then they
26:36seduce you I was like thanks for telling
26:38me thanks for not looking like Elijah
26:40but thanks for acting like Elijah's
26:42sweetheart I if you're a leader you know
26:45exactly what this is like
26:47you're like wow they are dangerous and
26:50seductive that's what she's trying to do
26:53with access to not only Ahab but also to
26:56Elijah in addition uh Jezebel's rather
27:01like to control the conversation
27:03as you read the story First Kings 17 to
27:05Second Kings 2
27:07she does all the Talking she gets the
27:09first word she gets the last word most
27:12of the words are her words
27:14you know you're in a conversation with
27:17someone that is unhealthy when
27:19they dominate the conversation they set
27:22the conversation they drive the
27:24conversation
27:25and if you try to get a word in unless
27:27you agree with them they're going to run
27:29you over in the conversation and then at
27:31the end if you try to get a word in they
27:33always
27:34I always get the last word in
27:36is every competition is really in the
27:39form of a conversation
27:42some of you I could just sense it I love
27:44you but some of you are married and
27:46you're like my wife she's she just
27:50women do talk more than men true
27:53yeah they do but if you're in a
27:55situation you're like she dominates all
27:58the conversations I can't get a word in
27:59edgewise if I disagree with her then I
28:02got hell to pay and if I say something
28:04she disagrees with me walks away and
28:06gets the last word that's not a healthy
28:08conversation that's a war
28:11they also control platforms a platform
28:14is a point or position of leadership
28:16from which someone exercises Authority
28:20so they have these Bible teaching
28:22schools she closed them that's literally
28:24cancel culture she canceled the
28:27Christian Schools
28:29Elijah is a preacher
28:31he's trying to kill him
28:33literally de-platform and silence him
28:37her goal over and over and over
28:40is to control platforms anywhere there
28:43is a leadership position she's either
28:46going to take it over or she's going to
28:48tear it down that's what they do either
28:51I'm in charge or it's getting burned to
28:54the ground
28:55these people will burn a church to the
28:57ground they'll burn a Ministry to the
28:59ground they'll burn a business to the
29:01ground they'll build they'll burn a
29:02family to the ground if they don't get
29:04to be in control of the platform
29:06if I'm not the boss there will be no
29:08boss
29:09in addition they control the narrative
29:13controlling the narrative is a form of
29:15spiritual warfare
29:16how the story is told it determines how
29:19the people will respond
29:22okay and so what happens in a what
29:24happens in a an unhealthy situation is
29:28someone will try and say what I like to
29:29call a negative narrative
29:31set a negative narrative and then all
29:34the data is interpreted through the
29:35negative narrative
29:37it's a form of lying and it's a form of
29:39dominating and controlling
29:41Proverbs says the first person to tell
29:44their story sounds right till we hear
29:45the other side how many of you have
29:47learned this as a dad you got kids what
29:49kid runs in tell me what happened you're
29:51like well let me check let me check with
29:52the other kid
29:53it's just because you heard one side of
29:55the story it's not always the same side
29:57of the story
29:58I'll give you an example that comes to
29:59mind some years ago my son I had a kid
30:02in our house kid came running in our
30:04kids were little and the kids cried
30:06thrown a fit
30:08all hurt mom looks at him what happened
30:10uh Pastor Mark's kid punched me
30:14mom looks me sick your kid hit my kid
30:16what are you gonna do I said let me go
30:18ask why
30:22I gotta research
30:24I go in
30:25and uh my son is there and his little
30:28sister is crying very big tears she's
30:31physically hurt not just emotionally
30:33physically emotional
30:35I said what happened he said that big
30:36kid kept picking on my little sister hit
30:39her shoved her yelled at her I told her
30:41you stopped picking on my sister or I'm
30:44gonna punch you
30:45and he can't pick an honor so I punched
30:47him
30:48hey so so I told so so yeah so his name
30:53is Jezebel and um so anyways
30:57um so then the mom looks at me she's
30:59like your kid hit my kid what are you
31:01gonna do I said I'll be back in a minute
31:02I'm gonna get him ice cream
31:05yeah see it's like they get a reward
31:08see we we build men up to bless women
31:10and children and that starts with little
31:12men
31:13okay and so what happens is if you
31:15control the narrative everybody runs to
31:18a conclusion but actually the person
31:19who's innocent could be the one who gets
31:21punished
31:23this happens all the time it just comes
31:25to mind again there's another story in
31:27the Old Testament a guy named Joseph
31:29okay you see Ahab Jezebel or Elijah he's
31:32Elijah
31:33Potiphar's wife Ahab Jezebel or Elijah
31:36Jezebel
31:38every day I mean they you know he's in
31:41the castle she shows up she's like let's
31:43do it and uh he's uh no I can't do that
31:46I love God and I love your husband so
31:48then she says he
31:50raped her he goes to prison
31:54that's the narrative
31:56he was innocent he was Elijah she was
31:59Jezebel
32:00he didn't do anything she lied about
32:02everything
32:04what a jezebel likes to do is get very
32:07emotional very loud tell their story
32:10first get on social media make sure
32:14they're setting the story because it's a
32:16form of control
32:18she does this with naboth again back to
32:20the story in First Kings
32:23naboth cursed God and the King therefore
32:26he needs to die that's not the story but
32:29that's the story that she told
32:32they also love to control a mob
32:35they like to get as many people in as
32:37possible it's a true build up for the
32:39battle
32:40if you have a conflict with a jezebel
32:42next thing you know you're like man they
32:43called all the relatives they sent out
32:45emails they posted on social media like
32:48man they just set this thing on fire
32:49like they did we didn't even talk about
32:52it or work it out they just immediately
32:54went 0-60 in public
32:56well that's what Jezebel does
32:59she goes out and she literally pays
33:02850 false prophets
33:05of Astra and bail she gets a mob
33:08together
33:09and then what she wants is that mob to
33:12have a larger mob of those who are
33:15watching join them in all attacking
33:18Elijah so she's like I'm going to get my
33:20big mob and I want them to go get a
33:22really big mob so we can all destroy
33:24Elijah
33:26it's controlling the mom
33:27in addition a jezebel will control the
33:30agenda
33:33if you're dealing with a jezebel if you
33:35go to talk to them about something
33:36they're going to change the subject and
33:38set the agenda
33:39if you're trying to do Christmas with a
33:41jezebel and their extended family
33:45they are going to tell you what you're
33:46going to do you're going to be here at
33:48eight rocket open guess and we're gonna
33:49have ham and we're gonna we're gonna do
33:51this we're gonna be like well can we
33:53talk about it no I've got this you know
33:54here it is I wrote it down do it's told
33:58oh
34:00huh
34:01this question that comes to mind how
34:03many of you moved here
34:04to Arizona from another state
34:07okay now put your hand down don't put
34:09your hand up but how many of you it's
34:10because you had to Jezebel in your
34:12family and you've moved
34:14okay some guys just put their hand up so
34:17those are the Elijah so now we know what
34:18the truth is but sometimes you're like
34:20if I'm around they just control control
34:23control
34:24they control the agenda they call me
34:27we're going to talk now we're going to
34:28meet now we're coming over it's the
34:30holidays it's like you don't get to
34:32control the agenda of our relationship
34:34you don't get to control my calendar you
34:37don't get to control my budget you're
34:39not God you're not sovereign I I didn't
34:42surrender my life to you
34:45this is Antichrist
34:47this is someone who's saying you know I
34:50read in the Bible about a sovereign and
34:51I thought I should nominate myself
34:54in addition they will control time
34:58these are all ways to control
35:01they will intentionally be late to a
35:03meeting
35:04or they'll set it show up early to set
35:07the environment to control it
35:09or they will cancel at the last minute
35:13or they will say that they need to go
35:15they will control time to control you
35:18you're like I've been wanting to talk to
35:19them about that a schedule appointment
35:21they cancel I schedule appointment they
35:23show up late I schedule another
35:25appointment they leave early it's
35:26control
35:27in addition to controlling time
35:30they will control decisions
35:33they will want to make any and every
35:35decision that you will let them
35:38any because here's what will happen the
35:40worst thing you can do if someone is
35:42more Jezebel ask their opinion
35:45as soon as you do it's like you've
35:47invited them to be Lord of your life
35:50and I'll tell you what sometimes people
35:52with a Jezebel spirit you don't even
35:54need to know them for them to make
35:56decisions for you
35:58they will just tell you what to do
36:00they're they're bossy beyond belief
36:02again I'm just verbal processing I
36:05should have probably prepared but this
36:06just comes to mind I was at the grocery
36:08store some years ago
36:10and uh we had all of our kids and I
36:12don't think we had all five at the time
36:13we had like three or four and uh there
36:16was two gals in the line behind us and
36:18they were talking negatively about our
36:19kids
36:27I said their ears are little but they do
36:29work you know this is very rude this one
36:31looks at me she said you shouldn't have
36:33any more children
36:36I was like your attitude is birth
36:38control
36:41so I mean you know I was like nobody's
36:43going to sleep with that you know so
36:46um
36:48but at that point it's like yeah I
36:49probably shouldn't have said it I'm not
36:51saying it was the Holy Spirit but it
36:53just came to mind
36:54um
36:56but at the end of the day it's like who
36:58who at the grocery store walks up and
37:00makes fertility decisions for strangers
37:10you know we're at Safeway
37:13but if you let these people make
37:15decisions they'll make decisions you
37:18know why you chuckle you've had the same
37:20experience all right the next one they
37:22will control environments you got to go
37:25to their house for the meeting
37:27no no if we're going to have a conflict
37:28you come to my house
37:31and they will show up early to set up
37:33the environment
37:35no we're going to meet at this
37:36restaurant we're picking the restaurant
37:38well if we're gonna do Christmas we're
37:40picking where it's they're always
37:41controlling the environment because it's
37:43another way to control you
37:45if you allow them to control the
37:47environment they're not just physically
37:49controlling the environment they're
37:50spiritually controlling the environment
37:53so there's a trend
37:55that is now happening and I think it's
37:57large part ahabs and Jezebels in
37:59marriage
38:00the trend is called living alone
38:01together
38:03what's just the name doesn't sound like
38:05Alone Together
38:07that's like Christian Science it's like
38:09both of those aren't true you know
38:13you know Alone Together living alone
38:15together
38:16and what it is it's a husband and a wife
38:19that stay married but they live in two
38:22homes
38:25they have two homes two bank accounts
38:28two schedules two routines two lives and
38:32they only come together when she says
38:35it's okay
38:38we've now got an entire growing family
38:41structure marital structure to
38:43accommodate Ahab and Jezebel
38:45relationships we actually have a name
38:46for it living a part together and what
38:48that is is this is my environment you're
38:51not welcome you get your own environment
38:54and if I say so you can come to my house
38:56even though we're married
39:00ah
39:04yeah I'll just be honest with you so for
39:06some of you guys this is why I have a
39:07man cave
39:10this is why you have a bass boat
39:12this is why you go to the golf club this
39:14is why you join the country club this is
39:16why you hunt a lot
39:17and none of those things is a sin but if
39:20it is my domineering overbearing sort of
39:24emotional wife drives me crazy and I
39:26don't like to be around her I need to
39:27get a different environment
39:30then what I would tell you is you need
39:32to figure out how to fix that
39:33environment
39:34some years ago I'll never forget there
39:36was a guy in my neighborhood we moved a
39:37lot so you don't know what guy this is
39:38but he he was we thought he was the nice
39:40guy in the neighborhood
39:42he would Leaf blow everyone's yard in
39:45the whole neighborhood and all we had
39:47the most beautiful Street
39:49this guy Leaf blow smile big huge
39:53earphones I'll never forget one day I
39:55went after I said thank you so much for
39:57leaf blowing
39:58I said just I'm just curious why do you
40:01Leaf blow the whole neighborhood he said
40:04quote it's louder than my wife
40:09[Applause]
40:10laughs
40:13Ahab the landscaper hey man they have
40:16the landscape
40:18okay
40:19how about are we having fun
40:21okay so okay I got a few more a few more
40:24uh they will control leaders as I told
40:27you she tries to control her husband
40:28Ahab she tries to control the profits
40:31she tries to control uh Israel the whole
40:34nation she tries to control Elijah but
40:37really what they like is leaders
40:39because leaders are the shortcut to
40:41power and control
40:43leaders if you are a leader you will
40:46deal with a jezebel
40:48I promise you
40:50in addition they love to control
40:53families
40:55her family is cursed for Generations
40:57their family is cursed for Generations I
41:00told you on the weekend Second Kings 11
41:03Jezebel has a daughter her daughter's
41:06more controlling than she is
41:08she has a son who becomes king he rules
41:10for a year his mama controls him he dies
41:13in battle she then Slaughters all the
41:16male relatives so there is no heir to
41:19the throne Jezebel's daughter rules and
41:21Reigns in Israel Second Kings 11 for six
41:24years the only woman in the history of
41:27the nation to rule as a queen without a
41:30king
41:31control control
41:33families for Generations
41:36hear me in this man let's say there is a
41:40woman and it could be a man as well but
41:42let's say there's somebody in your
41:43family that has more of a jezebel
41:45tenancy
41:47if you let them they're going to control
41:49you your life your marriage guess what
41:52happens when you have kids
41:54they're going to control your kids
41:56guess what happens when your kids have
41:58kids that's where my mom and dad are now
42:01my mom and dad are awesome and I love
42:02them so I'm grateful for them but they
42:05will control the whole family
42:07extended family as many people as
42:10possible for as many generations as
42:12possible
42:14if you tolerate that you're letting the
42:16least healthy person determine your
42:18legacy
42:19the least healthy person should never
42:21determine the Legacy it should only be
42:23the most healthy person the Elijah
42:26they also control gifts
42:28and the reason that a jezebel will give
42:31a gift is why
42:34now you
42:35you owe them
42:37this is never Grace based giving this is
42:40always strings attached
42:43okay I'll give you money if you go to
42:45college where I tell you if you send the
42:48kids to school where I tell you if you
42:50buy the house that I tell you if you
42:53move to the city that I tell you if you
42:55live in the home that I tell you
42:57if you marry who I tell you
43:01and some of you
43:02you received what you thought was a gift
43:04it wasn't it was a bribe
43:07later on they're like remember what I
43:08gave you you owe me
43:10or now I need to speak into your life I
43:13gave you money for a house now I get to
43:14decide the house now they're in it's
43:16control
43:18this is why again in the story of naboth
43:22she murders him steals the land gives it
43:24to her husband it's something that her
43:26husband really wanted now
43:28he owes her
43:30now he owes her
43:33anytime she wants to pull out that card
43:35she could be like honey here's what I'm
43:36telling you to do
43:38or to say
43:40no I don't want to do that you owe me I
43:42murdered naboth and got the land you owe
43:44me
43:46in addition they will control their
43:49image how they appear matters great to
43:52them it's not on the inside it's the
43:54outside
43:55these people love social media
43:58they love to portray a life that is an
44:02illusion and a delusion
44:04they want to appear like they are Godly
44:07and beautiful and successful and they're
44:10dangerous
44:12it says this in Second Kings 9 20.
44:13there's a dude named jehu jehu is a dude
44:16he's going to murder Jezebel
44:19Jezebel here Second Kings nine jehu is
44:22coming
44:23here's what it says Jezebel painted her
44:26eyes and adorned her head
44:28her thought was I get my makeup on I
44:31turn my underwear to outerwear get my
44:33hair done maybe I could sleep with jehu
44:35and he won't kill me
44:37image Beauty seduction leads to control
44:42in addition they will control your
44:46energy
44:47one Jezebel will wear out a family
44:51one Jezebel will wear out a church one
44:54Jezebel will wear out a business
44:57you'll reach the point where you're like
44:58do they ever stop do they sleep
45:02like I I make I don't they're so active
45:05causing damage and chaos and harm I
45:08don't even have time to catch up
45:10here's why
45:13human beings have limitations
45:18demons don't
45:20demons don't get the flu
45:23demons don't get dehydrated
45:25demons don't need a good night's sleep
45:29demons don't need a Sabbath day
45:32the Bible says of angels that they
45:35worship God day and night it says in
45:37Revelation 12 the accuser of our
45:39Brethren which is Satan
45:40he accuses the children of God
45:43day and night how many of you can't work
45:46three shifts
45:48a demon can work three shifts and they
45:50can work three shifts 365 days a year
45:53if somebody is working by a demonic
45:55power they are overwhelming and
45:57exhausting I don't even know where they
45:59get the energy for that I can't even
46:00keep up
46:02this happens to Elijah
46:05he gets oppressed by the Demonic attack
46:07of Jezebel
46:09in First Kings 18 he calls down fire
46:11from heaven defeats the 850 prophets of
46:14Baal First Kings 19 Jezebel puts a curse
46:17over him as she makes an inner vow to
46:20the Demonic realm says the demons can do
46:22harm to me if I don't murder Elijah in
46:26the next 24 hours
46:28Elijah is so spiritually emotionally
46:31physically exhausted
46:34he runs he's a man of God just cold down
46:37fire from heaven he ran a hundred miles
46:40and then he went into the woods and then
46:42he laid down and he said I just want to
46:45die
46:48I'd rather die than continue fighting
46:50with this woman and the spirit through
46:52this woman
46:54he's exhausted
46:56God comes to him doesn't rebuke him but
47:00instead restores him over the course of
47:0240 days God says here's a bite to eat
47:04something to drink take a nap take a
47:07break he literally is in ICU with God
47:11for 40 days
47:13because Jezebel wore him out and he's a
47:16man of God
47:17they will control your energy last two
47:21they uh will control your sexuality
47:24Revelation 2 says that she calls herself
47:27a prophetess a teacher and seduces my
47:31servants to sexual immorality
47:35every man has got a hook
47:39and every man has got a certain bait
47:41that Satan will put on that hook
47:44for some men it's Fame for some men it's
47:47power for some men it's money for most
47:49men
47:50it's pleasure
47:52especially sexual pleasure
47:55if a beautiful woman will flirt with you
47:57that's
47:59if she will
48:00initiate with you that's amazing
48:04if she will undress for you
48:07incredible
48:08and if she will do exactly what you want
48:11every time
48:14you think to yourself that is the most
48:17tasty bait I've ever beheld and just
48:20know this there's always a hook
48:22she's fishing
48:25she's fishing for you
48:28she's fishing for you
48:30and that's what she does with Ahab and
48:33that's what she does
48:34in Revelation
48:37whatever your pleasure is she will bait
48:40your hook and what you think is man she
48:43must really care about me she's giving
48:44me what I want
48:47you've been fishing she's going fishing
48:52she is going to bait your hook with what
48:54you want
48:55so she can get that hook in your mouth
48:57and reel You In and Club you to death
49:01that's how she operates true or false
49:04older men would you testify for the
49:06younger men
49:07true or false true true
49:10and then lastly a Jezebel spirit it
49:12wants to even control God
49:15I mean Jezebel she literally says no
49:18more worship of God
49:20Elijah says God has something he wants
49:23to do God's not allowed to do it
49:26Again The Jezebel spirit very spiritual
49:29loves church weaponizes the Bible quotes
49:31verses very emotional Very sensual
49:34But ultimately they won't submit to God
49:38let me give you two closing examples you
49:40can be a male Jezebel or a female
49:42Jezebel
49:43male Jezebel
49:46patrolling domineering overbearing
49:49threatening ruling through fear
49:53women and children are afraid of you and
49:56sexually
49:57you're capable
50:00of really gross abuse of a woman or a
50:04man
50:06assault can go to either gender
50:10you can be a male Jezebel
50:13what does this look like well there's a
50:15guy named Andrew Tate in our culture
50:16he's exactly what this looks like
50:19he was a big influencer on social media
50:21whole generation of young men followed
50:24him it was like a demonic parade of
50:27disciples
50:28he literally calls himself a misogynist
50:31which means I use and abuse women and
50:33children we build men up to bless women
50:35and children
50:36he started in a Christian Home became an
50:39atheist then said he converted to Islam
50:41he's a kickboxer domineering overbearing
50:44physically violent sexually assaulting
50:46women right now he's sitting in a prison
50:48I don't know if he's guilty or Innocent
50:50but he's accused of forcing women into
50:52prostitution sexual slavery and rape
50:54crimes
50:57there are certain men they run drug
50:59trafficking and human trafficking and
51:01cartels and prostitution and I'm telling
51:04you right now male Jezebels have taken
51:06over the southern border of Arizona
51:08and the problem is because we have an
51:10Ahab
51:12what does it look like to have a female
51:14Jezebel well it's probably a little
51:16clearer from my talk
51:19but what happens is domineering
51:22overbearing highly emotional
51:24manipulative controlling seductive and
51:26sensual
51:29what happens then is the Ahab he
51:33tolerates so that she dominates
51:36and the way this works practically is
51:41um let me just say something to the
51:43single men
51:45single men our world is filled with
51:48these women
51:50and let me say this if you're a guy
51:52who's a Christian you're like I like to
51:54help people I like to rescue people I
51:56like to see people get delivered be
51:59careful
52:00a jezebel doesn't want you to save her
52:03she wants to drown you
52:06if you're a lifeguard saying I'm going
52:08to go save the princess she's saying I'm
52:10going to drown the Lifeguard
52:13let me say this to you single men you
52:16young men
52:17sometimes these women they're attractive
52:20they're aggressive we live in a weird
52:23day when I was young you had to work for
52:26a woman to sleep with you
52:28you men who are young today you have to
52:30work not to sleep with those women
52:33men men have now got to be on defense if
52:35you love Jesus like I'm not trying to
52:37have sex with everybody I want to get
52:39married and have a family
52:42these women are very
52:46powerful and they're very present and
52:48they're very persistent in our culture
52:51these are the gals that'll pursue you
52:53they'll flirt with you they'll sleep
52:55with you they'll seduce you they'll
52:58initiate with you and let me tell you
52:59gentlemen
53:01it's all about control
53:04it's all about her taking away your
53:07authority to lead your anointing from
53:10God
53:11and the destiny that God has for you
53:14most of the men that I know who are
53:16married to a jezebel started with a
53:18dating relationship where she was
53:20aggressive seductive sensual enjoyable
53:24and then deadly
53:27and you're not looking for a good time
53:29you're looking for a good wife
53:32and you're looking for a good wife with
53:33whom you can leave a good Legacy
53:36be careful
53:38be careful
53:39lastly a Jezebel spirit in a female
53:42knows that they are in a strategic
53:45position because if they attack a man
53:48he's in a lose-lose scenario
53:50if he goes Ahab and takes it he loses
53:54if he pushes back she says he's
53:57domineering overbearing unloving
53:59controlling hurt her feelings and she's
54:01a victim and he's a jezebel
54:04and he loses
54:06the key in the story is this
54:09Jezebel controlling
54:12aggressive Ahab passive tolerant Elijah
54:17assertive Godly
54:19the only way to overcome being in Ahab
54:22or dealing with a jezebel is by the
54:25power of the Holy Spirit like Elijah
54:27he's willing to say no to Jezebel he's
54:30willing to say no to Ahab
54:32Ahab wants Elijah to tolerate so that
54:36she also will dominate and he says no
54:39my question to you would be is this and
54:42I'm a little bit over
54:44um but here's what I want you to talk
54:45about the tables what were your mom and
54:47dad like we talked about this last week
54:49but I want to revisit it
54:51your mom or dad was one passive like
54:53Ahab controlling like Jezebel or
54:55assertive like Elijah what kind of
54:57family did you grow up in number two
54:58what are you and your spouse if married
55:00like is one of you passive like Ahab
55:02controlling like Jezebel or assertive
55:04like Elijah and what changes do you need
55:07to make for your life and family lastly
55:09how can we pray for you and I'll close
55:12to this and I will close
55:16um
55:18we all start
55:20or Jezebel or more
55:23okay
55:24nobody starts Elijah
55:27nobody just comes out of the womb
55:30Elijah
55:31we all start Jezebel controlling Ahab
55:35Hassan
55:36the goal is to be honest and say okay
55:37how do I get to Elijah
55:40how do I have assertiveness not
55:42passiveness or aggressiveness
55:45how do I act like Jesus and manifest the
55:48fruit of the spirit and if you are
55:50married to someone who is unhealthy or
55:52unwell
55:53how do you get her the help she needs to
55:57deal with the trauma she has that causes
55:59her to be a person who is maybe not
56:03possessed but more
56:06prone to become like a jezebel
56:08some of you men you've been working
56:10around your wives like grenades with a
56:12pencil
56:13there's certain things you won't talk
56:14about
56:15there are certain things you won't do
56:18you can't even get her to come to this
56:19church because
56:21of me
56:25you're here
56:27she's not
56:28because you know
56:30that if you're going to be Ahab and I'm
56:32going to be Elijah then you're going to
56:33go home to Jezebel
56:35the question is how do you not control
56:38your wife
56:39and not tolerate your wife let lead your
56:42wife to heal your wife
56:45so that you can get the best version of
56:47her for you and your kids and your
56:49grandkids that's what we're going to
56:50talk about next week Lord a lot of the
56:52lot to cover here Lord
56:55and uh Lord we say that the the word of
56:57God is Not
56:58what used to happen it's what always
57:00happens and and God as we look at these
57:04three people
57:05Ahab Jezebel Elijah God we see ourselves
57:09we see relationships we see our spouse
57:11we see our parents
57:13God we all lean one way or another I
57:15Pray by the power of the Holy Spirit you
57:17would help each of us men to become more
57:19like Elijah filled with the Holy Spirit
57:21and more like Jesus
57:23God we know that passive men allow harm
57:27we know that controlling men cause harm
57:30we don't want to watch harm or cause
57:32harm
57:33we want to build men up to bless women
57:35and children to keep them from harm
57:38Lord God I pray for these men I pray for
57:40their marriages I pray for the single
57:42men Lord
57:43I pray that they would take this to
57:44heart I'm a father with three sons I
57:46care very deeply
57:48I want these men to not just have a good
57:51weekend but a good Legacy
57:53and Lord God I pray against the enemy
57:55his servants their works and effects we
57:57know that these same demonic powers are
57:59at work in our day and we can see it God
58:01as we put this lens over our culture and
58:04our world we can see it
58:05we could see seductive satanic sexual
58:09sensual spirits
58:11and we could see men who are passive
58:14and the hook is going in their mouth and
58:16they're being controlled and dominated
58:17until they're killed and gutted God I
58:20pray for these men to have the courage
58:21to be like Elijah and God I just pray
58:24that we would begin taking steps in the
58:26direction of the spirit
58:27and Lord God for those men who have
58:30learned a little bit would they help
58:31pull up the next guy and God for the
58:33guys that are just really struggling to
