- 0:14Yes, it's nice to meet you. Today,
- 0:16through this video lecture,
- 0:20we have learned about various other
- 0:23religions, which can truly be considered
- 0:25the mainstream among religious education
- 0:28in Christianity.
- 0:30This is a time to examine how certain
- 0:32religions and people's spiritual systems
- 0:34and cultures are formed in other regions
- 0:37, other cultures, and on other
- 0:39continents, and to look at the
- 0:41characteristics of the people in those
- 0:43regions, the differences from
- 0:45Christianity, and what its distinct
- 0:47qualities are.
- 0:49From that perspective, we will begin our
- 0:51lectures this week covering the Old and
- 0:54New Testaments, which are the essence of
- 0:56Christianity, and today we will study
- 0:58the contents of the Old Testament, which
- 1:00is said to be the foundation of
- 1:02Christianity.
- 1:04Well, I assume no one here is hearing
- 1:07about Christianity for the first time.
- 1:10There may be students who believe and
- 1:12some who do not, but it is a story that
- 1:14almost everyone has heard. Things like
- 1:16the cross, Jesus Christ, God,
- 1:21and Christianity, etc., but there are
- 1:23cases where one does not have deep
- 1:26knowledge or understanding regarding
- 1:28what it is composed of, why people
- 1:30believe in God, or whether these things
- 1:33actually happened historically.
- 1:36So first, the Bible consists of a total
- 1:40of 66 books.
- 1:42Of those, 39 are the Old Testament, from
- 1:46creation to Jesus Christ; BC (Before
- 1:49Christ) is before the common era, and AD
- 1:52is Anno Domini, the time since the Lord
- 1:56came, and as the history of humanity has
- 1:59been set from the point where historical
- 2:03records remain,
- 2:08these 39 books of the history of Israel
- 2:10, the events that appeared, and God's
- 2:17history, His commands, and how those who
- 2:20served God lived are what are shown in
- 2:22these 39 books.
- 2:25And the remaining 27 books are the story
- 2:27of the New Testament.
- 2:29Forgiveness and love begin with the
- 2:31coming of Jesus Christ. Now, let's have
- 2:34a lesson on how humans should live from
- 2:37this point forward.
- 2:41First, the scene of life is the concept
- 2:44of God accompanying humanity. This means
- 2:47the Old Testament begins mainly with the
- 2:50path that Israel walked.
- 2:53From the time of creation, they believed
- 2:56in God, were chosen, and through the
- 2:58footprints of the life they lived, at
- 3:01times they were blessed by obeying God's
- 3:04commandments and living kindly and
- 3:07strongly, or they broke God's
- 3:09commandments.
- 3:12The word "commandment" will be repeated
- 3:14often, and this is ultimately the story
- 3:16of justice that you all know.
- 3:18The story of righteousness and justice.
- 3:20When people do not keep this justice,
- 3:22they inevitably fall into corruption.
- 3:25When there is corruption, there will be
- 3:27victims, and sins will be committed.
- 3:29The moment sin occurs, various failures
- 3:32and difficulties arise due to the
- 3:35wrongdoing.
- 3:37Things like these, as well as world
- 3:39history, often use radioactive isotope
- 3:41dating and various historical evidence
- 3:43to suggest timelines like a million
- 3:45years or more; however, since this is
- 3:47Christian time, viewed from Christian
- 3:49history and the common era, we see the
- 3:51Old Testament as 4,000 years and the New
- 3:53Testament as 2,000 years, regarding the
- 3:56world as 6,000 years old so far.
- 3:59Examining that 4,000-year history is
- 4:02precisely what the Old Testament is. A
- 4:05providence.
- 4:06Now, when summarizing this, I think this
- 4:08expression was the best. Before humans
- 4:11were born, the earth and the universe
- 4:13were already created, and there was the
- 4:15providence of God within it.
- 4:18Then, what is this providence of God? It
- 4:20is the words of the Old Testament found
- 4:22in the Bible.
- 4:24And how did humans respond to that?
- 4:29There could be various responses. There
- 4:32could be a good resolution by those who
- 4:34hear this and decide to live righteously
- 4:35, or those who say, "I cannot live like
- 4:37that.""I prefer this." Or, although
- 4:40human free will is a good thing,
- 4:42everything including crimes, harm to
- 4:45others, or war, is in fact a choice. And
- 4:48this is why Korea and the present nation
- 4:51of Israel were chosen at the time of
- 4:53creation, and a nation that moves in
- 4:55this way still exists today.
- 4:58When you look at the wars between Iran
- 5:00and the U.S., or battles with Hezbollah
- 5:02and society, or the conflicts in the
- 5:04Middle East and Israel that still
- 5:06involve the Houthi rebels,
- 5:10When we speak of the Israel that exists
- 5:12today, the nation that appeared in the
- 5:14Bible is alive, and when we talk about
- 5:16the history they formed, that is the
- 5:18history of Israel, the Old Testament. I
- 5:21would like us to take some time to
- 5:23examine this Old Testament.
- 5:28Now, what is the Old Testament? It is a
- 5:30part of what I mentioned earlier.
- 5:34The first half of the 66 books, the
- 5:35beginning of the world.
- 5:38Now, there are various stories regarding
- 5:40creation.
- 5:41Christianity begins with creationism, a
- 5:44theistic view that God created the world
- 5:47.
- 5:48The divinity of all things is the very
- 5:50beginning of God.
- 5:52Because of films like the Greek
- 5:53mythology movie*Odyssey*, Greek
- 5:55mythology is being highlighted in
- 5:56various ways, but that is the concept of
- 5:58human gods.
- 5:59The concept of human gods, where humans
- 6:01ascended Mount Olympus and took the
- 6:03place of gods, is strong, but
- 6:04Christianity is different.
- 6:06It speaks of the God who existed
- 6:08originally, the God who begins from the
- 6:12beginning of the world. So, it talks
- 6:15about a world based on the theistic
- 6:17concept that He created it.
- 6:20Of course, there are atheistic claims of
- 6:22spontaneous generation and theories of
- 6:25evolution, but because evolutionary
- 6:27theory discusses the emergence of
- 6:29primitive life as a random occurrence,
- 6:31it presents a different perspective and
- 6:33narrative from the Christian belief that
- 6:36God created and ordained it.
- 6:40You have probably heard a lot about the
- 6:42theory of evolution, and for
- 6:44non-Christians, you have likely heard
- 6:46many atheistic perspectives; today,
- 6:48let's explore the history of
- 6:49Christianity, specifically the Old
- 6:51Testament, from a theistic viewpoint.
- 6:57It is a record of 4,000 years leading up
- 6:59to the birth of Jesus Christ.
- 7:02The core of the Old and New Testaments
- 7:07>> The word for "testament"
- 7:09is "covenant" or "promise."
- 7:14This is a promise that God made to
- 7:17humanity.
- 7:19To keep this, to observe it.
- 7:23We call it obedience. If you obey and
- 7:26keep it, humans will receive these
- 7:29blessings.
- 7:30Love your neighbor. Help the poor. Do
- 7:35not tolerate injustice.
- 7:37We heard about foreign idols when we
- 7:40studied Islam.
- 7:42Do not engage in foreign acts like
- 7:44gambling or human sacrifice, and other
- 7:47such bad things.
- 7:49He promised through commandments that if
- 7:53you keep this, I will be your God. When
- 7:57looking at human history, good deeds
- 7:59bring blessings and evil deeds bring
- 8:02punishment; this clear and instant
- 8:04concept of rewarding good and punishing
- 8:07evil forms the backbone of justice in
- 8:10the Old Testament. God is justice itself
- 8:14.
- 8:16Now, when you look at human history, in
- 8:18every era
- 8:20humans only truly feel the age they live
- 8:23in. You would agree with that. But if
- 8:25you examine history as a whole,
- 8:31even if you are not a Christian or come
- 8:33from a different cultural background,
- 8:36there is one common thread.
- 8:38What is it?
- 8:40Everyone loves what is good.
- 8:43They love the "good." In the Bible, this
- 8:45is expressed as goodness.
- 8:47Good things. Everyone draws near to them
- 8:50. And they bring good results. In the
- 8:52end, the conclusion is good.
- 8:55But sin
- 8:59eventually leads to failure.
- 9:03>> It means ruin.
- 9:05Look at human history; when Rome was
- 9:08strong, with its discipline, culture,
- 9:11and civil rights, it was powerful, but
- 9:14from the moment moral corruption, elite
- 9:17decadence, the exploitation of
- 9:19gladiators and slaves, and the abuse of
- 9:22humanity began, what happened later?
- 9:26Barbarians that no one expected came and
- 9:29swept them away. The Western Roman
- 9:31Empire fell, and the Eastern Roman
- 9:32Empire fell as well.
- 9:34Nazi Germany claimed it would be a
- 9:35thousand-year empire, but what thousand
- 9:37years?
- 9:38It started the Second World War in 1939
- 9:41and ended in 1945, collapsing in just 6
- 9:44years.
- 9:45The communist ideology that spoke of a
- 9:47human utopia—it spoke of utopia. Marxism
- 9:50promised a world where everyone lives
- 9:51well. But the collapse of the Soviet
- 9:54Union and Russia itself was due to
- 9:56poverty. It could never beat freedom and
- 9:59the market economy. The North Korea we
- 10:02see today is the same. And what about
- 10:04the contents of the Japanese colonial
- 10:06era that we encounter in modern history
- 10:09?
- 10:10What was it?
- 10:13They sowed everything they could to rule
- 10:15for 250 years. It is a truly terrifying
- 10:17story. During the late Joseon era, they
- 10:19amassed tremendous capital. They
- 10:21believed that by building a nation, they
- 10:23would thrive for 450 years.
- 10:25In just 36 years, they were hit by an
- 10:27atomic bomb and it ended. What is this?
- 10:29Divine retribution. Human history
- 10:32teaches us that evil, no matter how much
- 10:35it thrives in the moment, always comes
- 10:37to an end. That is why we say that doing
- 10:41good is beneficial. We say that doing
- 10:43bad brings heavenly punishment. The
- 10:45reason even non-Christians keep
- 10:47mentioning God's providence and heavenly
- 10:50punishment is that they feel such things
- 10:53have existed as a matter of probability
- 10:55.
- 10:57That is a world governed by divine
- 10:59providence.
- 11:01No matter how powerful a ruler is, they
- 11:03eventually die.
- 11:04Then their country collapses, and even
- 11:06Stalin, whom Russia boasted of, was
- 11:08disgraced by a de-Stalinization movement
- 11:10after his death.
- 11:12Even though Mao Zedong was an
- 11:13unparalleled leader when he ruled China
- 11:15, after his death, a movement to
- 11:17denounce him arose, and China shifted
- 11:19its direction from pure communism to
- 11:21modified capitalism.
- 11:22Likewise,
- 11:25the world has elements of moral
- 11:28retribution. This is the very concept of
- 11:30the Old Testament.
- 11:33Now, there are three questions in the
- 11:34Old Testament. If you look at the
- 11:36structure of the Old Testament—even for
- 11:39non-Christians, if you examine the six
- 11:42types of books well...
- 11:47The first is
- 11:51>> about creation. Looking at the 39 books
- 11:54, who is the one who created everything
- 11:57in the beginning?
- 11:59Once you know who it is, whose commands
- 12:02must humans follow?
- 12:04And we are led to ask fundamental
- 12:06questions about how humans should live
- 12:07their lives. When we look at the second
- 12:09point,
- 12:11by whose law should humans, the created
- 12:17beings, live? The special commandment
- 12:22God gave to Israel is the law of
- 12:25holiness. What is the law? It is an
- 12:27agreement.
- 12:30It is a command for justice to live
- 12:32according to God's providence. If you
- 12:34keep this, you will rise.
- 12:38It means you will become great.
- 12:41You will become great. If you live with
- 12:43honesty, fairness, and righteous faith,
- 12:46I will help you.
- 12:47That nation and empire will prosper, but
- 12:50if you fail to keep the love, justice,
- 12:52and righteousness mentioned in the law,
- 12:55you will fail.
- 12:57That is why nations rise and fall; even
- 13:00in the Old Testament, beyond the 430
- 13:03years of Israel's slavery in Egypt, they
- 13:06were taken captive to Babylon,
- 13:08present-day Iraq, for 70 years before
- 13:11returning.
- 13:13And after Jesus Christ passed away,
- 13:15following the cross, they wandered
- 13:17without a nation for 2,000 years. What
- 13:20is this?
- 13:21It is retribution for their evil and
- 13:23their crimes.
- 13:24This is the Law, what the Bible calls
- 13:27Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and so on.
- 13:30Most of it covers the laws and how they
- 13:33appear, followed by the people who were
- 13:36taken captive and spent 70 years in
- 13:39exile, though they also had better times
- 13:42when they followed the commands well.
- 13:47There are accounts of times when there
- 13:49was a great king who kept God's
- 13:50commandments well, leading the nation to
- 13:52prosper.
- 13:53Conversely, knowing how they were ruined
- 13:56when an evil king disobeyed and
- 13:58committed crimes is what the Prophetic
- 14:01Books—Joshua, Judges, 1st and 2nd Samuel
- 14:04, etc.—are about; they offer hope on how
- 14:07to live even after losing one's country
- 14:10. So, even if the country is taken, it
- 14:11becomes a reality. When they were
- 14:13dragged away for committing sins, the
- 14:14hope was that God's chosen people would
- 14:16return someday. Instilling this kind of
- 14:17hope is exactly what the Prophetic Books
- 14:19do. But there is one important condition
- 14:21here. What is it? To repent and live
- 14:25righteously and justly again.
- 14:28Then God's grace will pull you out to
- 14:30recover the nation and be blessed,
- 14:33leading to the history of Israel
- 14:35repenting and returning.
- 14:38From creation to the era of the Law, if
- 14:40He had just abandoned them when they
- 14:43sinned, there would have been no need
- 14:45for the Prophetic Books.
- 14:48Making them repent and recovering what
- 14:50is theirs is the very concept of the Old
- 14:52Testament. So, looking at it this way,
- 14:56God's love and judgment, and the
- 14:59providence of the Creator who made the
- 15:02world, is to live justly, keep what has
- 15:05been given, and love one another among
- 15:08neighbors. The result was good. Then,
- 15:11what is the historical perspective?
- 15:13It is the history of the Israelites
- 15:14walking for thousands of years.
- 15:16When they faithfully fulfilled this, the
- 15:20nation grew.
- 15:23Conversely, when they did not, the
- 15:25nation perished.
- 15:28These things are the very message.
- 15:31Then, if the history of Israel, which
- 15:34began in Genesis saying God created the
- 15:36world, is used as a sample or role model
- 15:39, what is human life?
- 15:42Since evil, crime, and living as one
- 15:45pleases ultimately lead to destruction,
- 15:47look at Israel and do not live like that
- 15:50, but keep what is right and just; what
- 15:53is it called in terms of divine
- 15:55qualities?
- 15:56It is called divine protection, or
- 15:58guidance.
- 16:01You will receive divine protection and
- 16:03be blessed. And the final message of the
- 16:06Old Testament is, "How should I live?"
- 16:10God's will for them is this: to make
- 16:12humans free and blessed. And since
- 16:15Israel went through such trials and
- 16:18errors, learning these lessons is the
- 16:21essence of understanding the beginning
- 16:24of Christianity. So, how should I live?
- 16:28These will be the three questions for
- 16:29viewing the Old Testament.
- 16:34Now, let's call it God's design. There
- 16:36is nothing on this earth that is not
- 16:38designed.
- 16:41Even a rib, if it didn't protect the
- 16:43diaphragm, the most important human
- 16:45organs could not be shielded.
- 16:48When a person stands at attention, all
- 16:50the parts tucked inward between the arms
- 16:52and legs are, in fact, the vital points
- 16:54and important human organs.
- 16:56Now, when you look at the recent riots
- 16:58in France, what was the starting point
- 17:00of the riots?
- 17:03In high schools,
- 17:06air conditioning doesn't work. Why?
- 17:09Prices have skyrocketed. There is a lack
- 17:11of electricity. What was this exactly?
- 17:15A heat wave.
- 17:18It’s getting hotter, so it's no longer
- 17:20the Mediterranean climate it used to be
- 17:22.
- 17:23If the Earth's oxygen saturation were
- 17:25slightly higher, if the sea level rose
- 17:28by just one meter, or if human body
- 17:31temperature rose by just a few degrees,
- 17:33people would fall into unbearable panic
- 17:36.
- 17:37That means something is holding it all
- 17:38together.
- 17:40And when you look at human organs,
- 17:42animal organs, their uses, heart rates,
- 17:45and lifetime energy, it suggests this
- 17:47didn't happen by coincidence.
- 17:50People talk about survival of the
- 17:51fittest, but if they were designed from
- 17:53the start to endure such lifespans,
- 17:57there must clearly be a providence. The
- 17:59Bible of Christianity speaks to this.
- 18:02Since God is perfect, His design for
- 18:06animals, humans,
- 18:11and nature is perfect.
- 18:14In reality, humans caused pollution out
- 18:17of greed, developed land
- 18:18indiscriminately, and killed people; if
- 18:21we had lived according to the laws of
- 18:23nature, the Earth would be a livable
- 18:26place.
- 18:28God created the world, and if the
- 18:30distance between the moon and the Earth
- 18:32were even slightly closer, the
- 18:34gravitational pull would cause tsunamis
- 18:36and chaos on Earth.
- 18:38If it were too far, they say the Earth's
- 18:41gravity would be weaker. So, things
- 18:44would just float away. All these
- 18:46distances in the solar system, including
- 18:48the distance to the moon—to those with
- 18:51theistic faith, it looks like divine
- 18:53providence, but to others, it's just
- 18:56pure, pure, pure coincidence.
- 18:59However, it is actually not an easy
- 19:01conclusion to reach that repeated
- 19:02coincidences produce such accurate and
- 19:05precise results.
- 19:10His guidance, justice, and constant love
- 19:14and intervention for the created world
- 19:17are, in fact, commands. Live like this
- 19:20and preserve it. He is giving us a
- 19:22manual. Do not engage in reckless
- 19:24development; manage and cherish it well
- 19:25. Do not wage war or kill one another.
- 19:29This shows the world moves not by chance
- 19:31, but according to a plan—a world that
- 19:34is unified rather than unique.
- 19:38We talk about world peace and
- 19:41cooperation, but if humans were truly
- 19:44capable of pursuing peace, we wouldn't
- 19:47need intelligence agencies like the CIA
- 19:51in every country to deal with wars and
- 19:54political schemes.
- 19:58And in trade wars, saying "You take more
- 20:01,""I will take less"—humans aren't like
- 20:04that.
- 20:06When there is such a plan, or divine
- 20:09intervention—that is, the commands we
- 20:12call laws, justice, fairness, and help
- 20:16for the weak—the world, rather,
- 20:21becomes a foundation that can function
- 20:22in its entirety. This is the rhythm of
- 20:25creation.
- 20:29Let's look at the chronological
- 20:30structure of the Old Testament in terms
- 20:32of four major events. As a pastor, I
- 20:34read it constantly, and even after a
- 20:37lifetime of reading, it feels new every
- 20:40time. That’s how vast it is.
- 20:43You could spend your entire life
- 20:44studying it for a doctorate and still
- 20:46have much to learn. So, if we look at it
- 20:48through four main points, the Creation
- 20:50shows that God created the world and
- 20:52humans live under divine providence.
- 20:55Therefore, we should cherish it, fear
- 20:58God, be grateful for all things, and
- 21:01manage them well.
- 21:03These are the stories found in Genesis.
- 21:06And what happens if humans commit
- 21:08injustice and sin, and specifically fail
- 21:11to manage the nature given to them? A
- 21:14sample has already been shown. Noah’s
- 21:17flood.
- 21:18A global flood occurred that wiped out
- 21:22all animals and plants on Earth; since
- 21:25everything was washed away by water, we
- 21:29estimate it happened about 5,000 years
- 21:32ago.
- 21:36Even in ancient Babylonian or Chinese
- 21:38records, you can find accounts of a
- 21:40judgment by water.
- 21:42Looking at it this way, the fact that
- 21:44there was a water judgment in human
- 21:46history serves as a warning that such
- 21:48divine wrath could happen anytime,
- 21:50reminding us to manage things well.
- 21:54The third major theme is:
- 22:00Then, is everyone destroyed? No, that’s
- 22:02not the case. Among them, there is God’s
- 22:06choice and guidance.
- 22:10Simply put, it’s about the fair laws He
- 22:13gave, and
- 22:17keeping His commands well,
- 22:21the life of Abraham, who became a model
- 22:24for others.
- 22:26While others ignored God’s commands,
- 22:28committed sins, and perished, a man
- 22:31named Abraham—Abraham wasn’t actually
- 22:34from the region we now call Palestine.
- 22:38He lived in a place called Ur of the
- 22:39Chaldeans, which is in modern-day Iraq.
- 22:40Of course, there were no borders back
- 22:42then, but he was a person from the Iraqi
- 22:43region.
- 22:44This means that anyone who faithfully
- 22:47follows God's commands and lives
- 22:49righteously will be blessed.
- 22:51Abraham is the prime example of this.
- 22:53This Abraham is regarded by Judaism,
- 22:56Islam, and Christianity alike as the
- 22:59ultimate example of faith.
- 23:04And one more thing to look at is the
- 23:07Exodus from Egypt.
- 23:10It is prophesied 430 years after Abraham
- 23:13. God told Abraham that his descendants
- 23:17would multiply greatly in Egypt, and
- 23:20even Abraham was amazed by this promise
- 23:23. His faith was tested, but He said they
- 23:26would eventually come out of Egypt.
- 23:28Although they would live as slaves,
- 23:32Egypt, located along the Nile, is in
- 23:37Africa. Israel is in Asia.
- 23:40They faced a great famine, which led
- 23:43them to migrate.
- 23:45They settled in Egypt, and by the time
- 23:49of his grandson Jacob and then Joseph,
- 23:53they enjoyed great wealth through God's
- 23:58grace and put down roots there.
- 24:02Then, 400 years later, they were brought
- 24:05out of Egypt. Then a king who did not
- 24:07know the God of Israel arose and
- 24:10enslaved them. Therefore, God's
- 24:12intervention occurs when there is
- 24:15hardship. When you were slaves,
- 24:19The one who pulled you out, even by
- 24:21suppressing all the glorious
- 24:22civilization of Egypt, because you
- 24:24shouldn't enslave those who were
- 24:26enslaved. The Savior who pulled out
- 24:28those who had become slaves is indeed
- 24:30God.
- 24:30At that time, the famous miracle of the
- 24:33Red Sea parting, which you see in the
- 24:36Disney animation "The Prince of Egypt,"
- 24:39occurred, and the people went through 40
- 24:42years of wilderness to finally reach
- 24:44Israel, moving from Egypt in Africa to
- 24:47Asia.
- 24:51The event of entering Israel takes place
- 24:54. Finally, the Old Testament has wisdom
- 24:56, and among the kings, the good ones
- 24:58left behind good words. Especially the
- 25:01wise King Solomon, King Solomon, right?
- 25:06The gem-like words he left behind: if
- 25:08you live like this, life is beautiful,
- 25:10and if you live like this, life is
- 25:11blessed. Especially in the case of
- 25:13Proverbs, it tells many stories about
- 25:16human relationships. Do not guarantee
- 25:18for others.
- 25:20And do not listen to and speak of things
- 25:22carelessly.
- 25:23One who opens their mouth tells
- 25:25everything, even showing their own
- 25:28weaknesses to others.
- 25:31There is such wisdom. Now, let's examine
- 25:33creation in a little more detail. Then,
- 25:35what is the meaning of God creating it?
- 25:37I don't believe in creation, or I don't
- 25:39know. That could be true.
- 25:41If you are not a Christian or do not
- 25:44believe in Christianity, but when you
- 25:47see that creation was made by the
- 25:50intervention of God, the divine, first
- 25:53of all, God created it.
- 25:56The God of life has always shown meaning
- 25:58. The fact that you exist.
- 26:01Because living trees exist, humans are
- 26:03able to breathe.
- 26:04Because the ocean exists, it regulates
- 26:07temperature and provides marine
- 26:08resources and food for humans.
- 26:12When He made everything, even mountains
- 26:15, seas, and the wind, He made them all
- 26:18to be helpful to humans.
- 26:21There was balance and harmony; the
- 26:23initial balance was good. There was no
- 26:25greed.
- 26:27And ordering the earth to bring forth
- 26:30trees is the command in Genesis; it was
- 26:32very good because everything was
- 26:34beautiful when it was in its proper
- 26:37place, amount, and purpose according to
- 26:39God's will.
- 26:42If you look at Genesis, there is an
- 26:45interesting fact: He talks about light
- 26:47first.
- 26:48So, moving along, humans are created on
- 26:52the 6th day.
- 26:54Then the land appears. Then plants
- 26:57appear. Then the land and water appear,
- 27:01and animals appear. Looking at this, if
- 27:05light appeared and humans were created
- 27:07on the second day, humans would starve
- 27:09to death. If there were no sea and land
- 27:11, humans would be submerged and die. If
- 27:13there were no plants, herbivorous
- 27:15animals could not live, and if
- 27:16herbivores could not live, carnivores
- 27:18could not live. This algorithm itself,
- 27:21this routine itself, shows that someone
- 27:23with intelligence superior to humans
- 27:26created it, and that is exactly God.
- 27:30From such a divine perspective,
- 27:32everything was meticulously crafted
- 27:34without any flaws; if air hadn't been
- 27:36created, humans would have died the
- 27:38moment they appeared. Even things like
- 27:40this are beneficial to humans.
- 27:43The only exception is the atmosphere and
- 27:45everything else; even when sending
- 27:46probes to Mars, humans haven't actually
- 27:48gone there themselves.
- 27:49The initial sampling was done without
- 27:51human physical presence. This means that
- 27:53everything on Earth, where humans
- 27:55currently exist, was created to ensure
- 27:57they live as well as possible. This is
- 27:59exactly the will of God.
- 28:01According to the Bible, the Earth was
- 28:03prepared so that animals and humans
- 28:04could be created, and everything was set
- 28:06to function according to a routine.
- 28:09And then, a command is given to humans.
- 28:11Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth,
- 28:13and subdue it. This "subdue" doesn't
- 28:15mean to abuse recklessly, but to use it
- 28:17properly according to its purpose.
- 28:19Therefore, take control of it. This is
- 28:21the era where humans can live the most
- 28:23beautifully.
- 28:25However, if humans had used nature
- 28:28properly, such problems would not have
- 28:30occurred.
- 28:32When nations raise oil prices to pursue
- 28:35more economic wealth, it causes global
- 28:38turmoil.
- 28:40Raising oil prices is solely to
- 28:42accumulate more money. China's Belt and
- 28:44Road Initiative, which brought ruin to
- 28:46others by taking their resources, is a
- 28:48result of that mindset.
- 28:50Then, wars over resources must also be
- 28:52driven by greed.
- 28:53Now, this was never the original intent
- 28:55of God.
- 28:57Humanity was happy when there was a pure
- 28:59heart to share what those who have gave
- 29:02to those who do not, and to educate one
- 29:05another, but human greed has made
- 29:07everything this way.
- 29:10This is what makes creation go astray.
- 29:21Let's take a look at the video.
- 29:24A lot.
- 32:13This fits well, right?
- 32:26Size.
- 33:08The same one.
- 33:15This same thing.
- 33:22On top of 8.
- 34:22I saw it.
- 35:03Oh, this.
- 35:16The one that isn't there.
- 36:01It's a plug, you know, a plug.
- 36:04Cooler.
- 36:33Now, like this.
- 36:36Nature, which was created, and now, even
- 36:39human organs, language skills, and
- 36:41harmony...
- 36:44It's all made by God's mechanism, but
- 36:46since these things have entered nature,
- 36:49is there any hope?
- 36:51To develop capabilities, why don't you
- 36:53educate people in Africa more? There is
- 36:56just one reason.
- 36:57If they become educated, you can't send
- 37:00industries that require cheap labor or
- 37:02those that lack advanced wisdom.
- 37:08So, the West doesn't do it so they can
- 37:09keep investing in these things.
- 37:12Looking at it this way, if humans had
- 37:14truly fulfilled the command to rule and
- 37:16subdue as stated in Genesis, life would
- 37:19be beautiful, but because that's not the
- 37:21case, these things make human life
- 37:23difficult.
- 37:25It's okay now because of embankment
- 37:28projects and good waterfront management
- 37:30, but in the past...
- 37:34If you go to Centum City in Busan...
- 37:39Whenever it rains or there is a heavy
- 37:41downpour, the city gets flooded.
- 37:44Because, I'll just say this much. If it
- 37:46is engineered to be well-drained, the
- 37:49land value goes up. As you increase the
- 37:51number of floors in an apartment
- 37:53building per unit area, you generate
- 37:55much more profit; building 20 or 40
- 37:57stories instead of just 5 on the same
- 38:00plot of land brings in a fortune. Right
- 38:02? If one unit is worth 100 million won,
- 38:04a 5-story building might fetch 500
- 38:05million, but with 20 or 40 stories, the
- 38:06value skyrockets to 2 or 4 billion won.
- 38:07Humans always have an upward desire and
- 38:09love looking down from above, which is
- 38:11why penthouses sell for as much as 10
- 38:13billion won.
- 38:15When you pack so many homes into a
- 38:18single unit area to create a massive
- 38:20complex, the concentrated stress and
- 38:23downward load become intense—so what
- 38:26happens here?
- 38:28To support this weight, the sand or soil
- 38:30from the surrounding ground has to shift
- 38:31upward. It gets squeezed out. So, in
- 38:33places like Haeundae, the ground settles
- 38:36and soil escapes—this is all caused by
- 38:38human greed. We could live just fine
- 38:40without those kinds of apartments, right
- 38:41? Of course, people say they invest
- 38:43because of real estate value these days
- 38:44, but in reality,
- 38:48if you think about actual housing, these
- 38:51high-value, high-investment projects are
- 38:55just mirage-like phenomena created by
- 38:58human desire for resources and wealth.
- 39:01Now, let's examine the site.
