  1. 0:00There are certain things in your life
  2. 0:01that you should never cheap out on
  3. 0:02because sometimes saving money up front
  4. 0:05actually costs you more in the long run.
  5. 0:07You buy the cheap version to save money,
  6. 0:08it breaks, you replace it, and
  7. 0:10eventually you've spent more than if you
  8. 0:12just bought something quality the first
  9. 0:13time. But quality doesn't necessarily
  10. 0:15mean buying the most expensive version
  11. 0:17of everything. It means knowing which
  12. 0:19things are worth spending more on
  13. 0:20because you'll use them constantly,
  14. 0:22they'll work better, and they'll last
  15. 0:23you for years. So, here are 25 quality
  16. 0:26items you should own before 25 years
  17. 0:28old, from appearance to clothing to
  18. 0:30health to tech, and finally
  19. 0:31independence. Starting with your
  20. 0:33beautiful appearance. Number one, an
  21. 0:35electric toothbrush. You brush your
  22. 0:36teeth two, maybe three times every day.
  23. 0:39And if you still use one of those
  24. 0:40low-quality toothbrushes your dentist
  25. 0:41gave you months ago, once you upgrade to
  26. 0:43a good-quality electric toothbrush,
  27. 0:46you'll immediately notice a difference.
  28. 0:47And you don't need a $400 self
  29. 0:50toothbrush that scans your teeth,
  30. 0:52connects to your phone. Something simple
  31. 0:54like Oral-B will do the job. The thing
  32. 0:55is, with a manual toothbrush, you're
  33. 0:57doing the movement. You're brushing back
  34. 0:59and forth, up and down. With an electric
  35. 1:01toothbrush, it does the movement for
  36. 1:03you. So, I will just hold it there, go
  37. 1:04around in my mouth, and this little head
  38. 1:06here will turn around each individual
  39. 1:09tooth. So, it's able to clean areas that
  40. 1:11with a manual toothbrush, you're not
  41. 1:12usually able to reach. And listen, if
  42. 1:14you brush your teeth two times a day,
  43. 1:16that's over 700 times a year. If you're
  44. 1:19doing something 700 times a year, you
  45. 1:21might as well invest in, especially if
  46. 1:22it's something like your teeth, where
  47. 1:24you only get one set of teeth for your
  48. 1:25entire life. Number two, a good electric
  49. 1:27trimmer. Every guy will eventually need
  50. 1:29a proper razor or already is getting
  51. 1:31facial hair and needs to shave. And if
  52. 1:33that's the case, it's also something
  53. 1:34you're using every single day. Every
  54. 1:36morning, I wake up, I come in here, I
  55. 1:38grab my electric trimmer, and I shave my
  56. 1:40face. And I've used cheap multi-blade
  57. 1:42razors before. It's so inconvenient. You
  58. 1:44need to wash your face, apply shaving
  59. 1:46cream, shave, apply aftershave, and most
  60. 1:49of the time the next day I would get
  61. 1:51ingrown hair. With this, you can do it
  62. 1:52on your dry face without worrying about
  63. 1:55anything. You can use it to trim and
  64. 1:57align your mustache, facial hair, even
  65. 1:59shave your body hair. You can pack it
  66. 2:01with you when you travel. Again, if it's
  67. 2:02something you're using every single day
  68. 2:04and also on many parts of your body,
  69. 2:06don't cheap out with it. Invest in a
  70. 2:08good quality electric razor. This one is
  71. 2:10a Philips OneBlade. Number three, a
  72. 2:12signature fragrance. Your scent is one
  73. 2:14of the first impressions people get from
  74. 2:16you. Yes, you can have a good haircut,
  75. 2:18dress well, have the nice watch, but if
  76. 2:20you smell bad or you don't have any
  77. 2:22scent, there's no uniqueness to you.
  78. 2:24There's nothing to remember about you.
  79. 2:26And that's where a signature fragrance
  80. 2:28comes in. And you don't need 30
  81. 2:29different fragrances. If you enjoy
  82. 2:31collecting fragrances and you have the
  83. 2:33money for it, knock yourself out and go
  84. 2:35for it. But one, two, or maybe even
  85. 2:37three is more than enough. And ideally,
  86. 2:39you want to get something that's fresh,
  87. 2:40not too strong, and can go for any
  88. 2:42occasion. Something you can wear on a
  89. 2:44date, to dinner, to an event, or even
  90. 2:46just day-to-day. Especially if you find
  91. 2:48a unique fragrance that not many people
  92. 2:50have, that scent will become associated
  93. 2:53to you. People will literally remember
  94. 2:55you from your fragrance. And it'll stand
  95. 2:57out as a very attractive feature. Now,
  96. 2:59which fragrances to choose? There's so
  97. 3:01many out there. What I would recommend
  98. 3:03is go into one of those stores that have
  99. 3:05many fragrances, whether it's Sephora or
  100. 3:07a designated fragrance store, and start
  101. 3:09smelling different fragrances. Try some
  102. 3:11on, put some on those little papers and
  103. 3:13smell it. Ask for recommendations. You
  104. 3:15can also test out your confidence. If
  105. 3:16there's a girl you find attractive,
  106. 3:18"Hey, what do you think of this scent? I
  107. 3:19was just thinking of getting it and I
  108. 3:21wanted somebody else's opinion on it."
  109. 3:22Hey, man, I'm just saying. Number four,
  110. 3:24a proper grooming kit. You know with a
  111. 3:26car that looks good, you can clean it,
  112. 3:28you can get the spoiler, but what
  113. 3:30actually makes a car stand out is all
  114. 3:32the specifics about the car, the decal,
  115. 3:34the accessories, the color, the vinyl,
  116. 3:37the trim, how clean the brake calipers
  117. 3:39are. That's the exact same thing with
  118. 3:41your body. Again, you can look good, you
  119. 3:43can smell good, you can have a fresh
  120. 3:44haircut, but if you have overgrown
  121. 3:46eyebrows, nails, toenails, facial hair,
  122. 3:49your appearance points will go way down.
  123. 3:51So, get yourself a nice grooming set,
  124. 3:53also known as a manicure set. It'll
  125. 3:55usually come with tweezers to pluck your
  126. 3:57eyebrows, some scissors, some clippers,
  127. 4:00and something like this you can use to
  128. 4:01clean under your nail. It's pretty
  129. 4:03self-explanatory. If you have it, you'll
  130. 4:05be more incentivized to use it. And
  131. 4:07these sets are pretty affordable, too.
  132. 4:08You can get them on Amazon, and it makes
  133. 4:10it very easy to take wherever you go. If
  134. 4:12you're traveling, storing it at home,
  135. 4:14keeping it in your car, wherever you
  136. 4:15want. Number five, quality skin care
  137. 4:18basics. Especially if you're young,
  138. 4:19taking care of your skin is crucial. Not
  139. 4:21only in the short term, if you wash your
  140. 4:23face, moisturize your face, apply SPF,
  141. 4:26you'll have clearer skin and get rid of
  142. 4:27pimples right now, but also for
  143. 4:29longevity, making you look younger as
  144. 4:32you age and get older. Now, there's
  145. 4:34endless skin care products out there.
  146. 4:36Some are very cheap, and some are made
  147. 4:38with quality ingredients that are
  148. 4:39actually healthy and good for your skin.
  149. 4:41Now, I personally use medical-grade
  150. 4:44products. So, my cleanser is
  151. 4:45SkinCeuticals, which is the premium
  152. 4:47brand of L'Oréal. My moisturizer is by
  153. 4:50Anewa, which has PDRN, which is simply
  154. 4:52just really good for moisturizing my
  155. 4:54skin. And then, a simple SPF, which is
  156. 4:57also sunscreen. And yes, these will tend
  157. 4:59to be a little bit more expensive than
  158. 5:01your regular skin care products, such as
  159. 5:03something like CeraVe. But honestly,
  160. 5:05they last me so long. This little
  161. 5:07moisturizing bottle and this cleanser
  162. 5:09right here, I've had for like three,
  163. 5:10maybe even four months. Because the
  164. 5:12thing with medical-grade skin care
  165. 5:13products is you don't actually need that
  166. 5:16much. Every day, I wash and moisturize
  167. 5:17my face twice a day, and I apply SPF
  168. 5:20once a day. But every time I apply it,
  169. 5:22it's always a little pea-sized amount
  170. 5:23that I rub in my hands and I apply. So,
  171. 5:25I think it's worth spending a little bit
  172. 5:26more money on because it'll last longer,
  173. 5:28but it's also something you apply on
  174. 5:30your face. So, it's not something you
  175. 5:31want to cheap out on. Getting into
  176. 5:33clothing and style, number six is a
  177. 5:34quality everyday watch. I know, sir, I'm
  178. 5:37not telling you to buy a Rolex before
  179. 5:39you're 25 years old. There are some
  180. 5:40amazing watches at almost every price
  181. 5:43point. Some brands are Seiko, Citizen,
  182. 5:45Tissot, and plenty of others. What I
  183. 5:47like about watches that they are pieces
  184. 5:49of accessories that genuinely stand out.
  185. 5:51Especially for me, I tend to wear a lot
  186. 5:53of monochromatic outfits, so either all
  187. 5:55black or black with white. So, having a
  188. 5:58nice timepiece on my wrist makes my
  189. 6:00entire outfit just stand out. And you
  190. 6:02can wear [music] watches for any
  191. 6:03occasion. You can wear it to dinner,
  192. 6:05wear it to a wedding, wear it to work,
  193. 6:07wear it out with friends. And
  194. 6:08eventually, it can become something more
  195. 6:10sentimental. You attach stories to each
  196. 6:12watches. You get a watch for a milestone
  197. 6:14you hit in your life. a watch as a gift.
  198. 6:16You get a watch with your best friend.
  199. 6:18And maybe one day you'll pass down your
  200. 6:19watches to your future kids. I think
  201. 6:21it's an accessory that is timeless, that
  202. 6:23every man should own at least one nice
  203. 6:26quality watch. And also, if you have
  204. 6:27enough money to ball out, you can get a
  205. 6:29Rolex Daytona, for example. Those
  206. 6:31usually tend to either hold their value
  207. 6:33or go up in value. But we're talking
  208. 6:35$15,000.
  209. 6:37But again, for brands like Citizen,
  210. 6:38Seiko, Tissot, you can get watches like
  211. 6:41this from anywhere between $100 and
  212. 6:42$1,000. Number seven, a real leather
  213. 6:45belt. you have those pants that whenever
  214. 6:47you wear, you know you need to wear a
  215. 6:48belt to it. And belts are also good when
  216. 6:50you need to discipline somebody. I'm
  217. 6:51kidding, bro. That's a joke. Do not hit
  218. 6:53anybody with a belt. Jokes aside though,
  219. 6:54a belt is something you can't cheap out
  220. 6:56on. You can get a full leather belt, a
  221. 6:58fake leather belt. And the thing about
  222. 7:00that is that the first day it will look
  223. 7:01amazing, but over time you'll notice it
  224. 7:03starts peeling, and eventually you'll
  225. 7:05have to get another fake leather belt
  226. 7:07until the cycle repeats and repeats and
  227. 7:08repeats. Instead, just spend more money
  228. 7:10the first time and invest in a real
  229. 7:12leather belt. They will literally last
  230. 7:14you a lifetime. My dad is in his 50s. He
  231. 7:17still has belts that he had when he was
  232. 7:18my age because they're real leather.
  233. 7:21It's not even about getting a designer
  234. 7:22buckle belt like Chanel or Gucci. It's
  235. 7:24more so about the quality belt, and you
  236. 7:26can find some like this which are
  237. 7:27dual-sided, one black, one brown real
  238. 7:30leather. And again, it goes for any
  239. 7:31occasion. You can wear it with a suit,
  240. 7:33with jeans, with cargo pants. Number
  241. 7:36eight, a quality wallet. Another
  242. 7:38accessory you carry with you every
  243. 7:39single day. And you don't want to be
  244. 7:41that guy a chunky wallet full of random
  245. 7:43cards that you never use, coupons that
  246. 7:46have been sitting in your wallet for
  247. 7:47years. And when you put that wallet in
  248. 7:48your back pocket, it's so chunky.
  249. 7:50Instead, search up slim wallets. The one
  250. 7:53that I like a lot is my Ridge wallet.
  251. 7:55This is not even sponsored. I just
  252. 7:56genuinely like this wallet because look,
  253. 7:58it can fit a lot of different cards. And
  254. 8:00it's easily accessible whenever I want
  255. 8:01to grab one. It has a cash strap right
  256. 8:03here so I can put cash into it and it
  257. 8:04holds it really good. And I've had this
  258. 8:06wallet now for probably like 5 years and
  259. 8:09it's indestructible. It'll never break
  260. 8:10[music] on me. Number nine, quality
  261. 8:12leather boots. I got these boots, I
  262. 8:14believe, 2 years ago. Before then, I
  263. 8:15never had a nice quality pair of leather
  264. 8:18boots. And before then, I never really
  265. 8:19wore boots. For some reason, I never
  266. 8:21liked to wear boots until I got these
  267. 8:23and I realized how much I liked them. I
  268. 8:25live in Canada, the blizzards here get
  269. 8:27pretty bad. Obviously, I need a good
  270. 8:28pair of boots, but also I realized that
  271. 8:30this goes with many different outfits.
  272. 8:32In the winter, I can wear it with a big
  273. 8:33jacket, cargo pants, snow pants, and the
  274. 8:36boots. But I can also wear a button-up,
  275. 8:38black trousers, and these boots
  276. 8:40underneath. And they look super sleek.
  277. 8:41And also, because they're boots, they're
  278. 8:43going to give you like a good 2-3 in in
  279. 8:45height. That's a little life hack. And
  280. 8:47when you invest in a good pair of
  281. 8:48quality boots that are leather, that are
  282. 8:50durable, as long as your feet don't keep
  283. 8:52growing, you're going to have these
  284. 8:53probably forever. Number 10, one great
  285. 8:55jacket. This one especially applies if
  286. 8:58you live somewhere cold. A jacket is
  287. 9:00something you might wear every single
  288. 9:01day for 4 to 5 months. Again, I live in
  289. 9:04Canada. When the winter comes, this is
  290. 9:06my suit. This is what I wear every
  291. 9:07single day. So why get a cheap jacket
  292. 9:09that doesn't look good or doesn't warm
  293. 9:11me up? I'm going to spend a few hundred
  294. 9:12dollars and get a very nice quality
  295. 9:14jacket that warms me up, but also looks
  296. 9:16good. You want something that's warm,
  297. 9:17comfortable, blocks wind, handles the
  298. 9:20weather, and still looks good. I've
  299. 9:21always believed that the more frequent
  300. 9:23you wear something, the more easily
  301. 9:25justified it is to spend more money on.
  302. 9:27And it's true. Like the boots, like the
  303. 9:29belt, this jacket, because I'm not
  304. 9:30growing, will probably last me a
  305. 9:32lifetime. And it's made with real fur
  306. 9:34inside. And it's puffy as well. Look at
  307. 9:36this. Okay, I got to take it off now cuz
  308. 9:37I'm getting hot.
  309. 9:38>> Number 11, quality clothing basics. And
  310. 9:41in general, I think guys need to stop
  311. 9:43thinking they need more clothes because
  312. 9:44you don't. Most of the time, you just
  313. 9:46need better clothes. Take a T-shirt for
  314. 9:48example. You can buy five low-quality
  315. 9:50T-shirts that look good on the first day
  316. 9:52and after three washes, the color is
  317. 9:54stretched, the shirt lost its shape, and
  318. 9:56somehow it became 2 in shorter. Or you
  319. 9:58can slowly build a wardrobe with
  320. 10:00higher-quality basics, T-shirts,
  321. 10:02sweaters, hoodies, pants. Pay attention
  322. 10:04to the stitching, the fabric, cotton,
  323. 10:07wool, linen, merino wool, different
  324. 10:09synthetics depending on what you're
  325. 10:11using them for. I'm not saying don't get
  326. 10:12cheap T-shirts because sometimes you do
  327. 10:14want a cheap T-shirt when you're doing
  328. 10:15something where you know you might get
  329. 10:17dirty or mess it up. But like this for
  330. 10:18example is a T-shirt from Cause. It cost
  331. 10:20me like $75, but it doesn't shrink in
  332. 10:23the dryer. The quality looks like brand
  333. 10:25new just like the first day I got it.
  334. 10:26Fits very nice on my sleeves, on my
  335. 10:29torso, and it goes for any occasion,
  336. 10:31whether I'm going out, whether I'm
  337. 10:32chilling with my friends, under a
  338. 10:33hoodie. I can wear a blazer over top of
  339. 10:35this. Personally, I'd rather have five
  340. 10:37shirts that I constantly reach for than
  341. 10:3925 shirts I constantly skip over. Number
  342. 10:4112, a properly fitted and tailored suit.
  343. 10:44Every guy should eventually own a suit
  344. 10:46that actually fits him properly because
  345. 10:48you will have events or weddings that
  346. 10:50you're invited to that you will need to
  347. 10:51wear a suit. Now, you don't need five
  348. 10:53suits. You don't need a custom $4,000
  349. 10:56Italian masterpiece. Just one simple
  350. 10:58suit, simple color. This one is navy
  351. 11:01blue. But I've worn this suit now on
  352. 11:02many occasions and the first time I got
  353. 11:04it, I believe was 4 years ago for Ever
  354. 11:07since then, I've probably worn it a good
  355. 11:09dozen times. And every single time, it
  356. 11:11fits me, it looks sleek. As a man, you
  357. 11:13need a nice tailored suit. Getting into
  358. 11:15the health items, number 13 is a fitness
  359. 11:18tracker. Whether it's an Apple Watch, a
  360. 11:20Garmin, a Whoop, an Oura, the new Google
  361. 11:22Fitbit Air, honestly, whatever works for
  362. 11:24you. I'm not saying you need to obsess
  363. 11:26over every tiny metric. Personally, I
  364. 11:28don't like to. I used to actually wear a
  365. 11:30Whoop band every single night to go to
  366. 11:32sleep and I would use it to track my
  367. 11:33sleep, but in the end, I actually didn't
  368. 11:35like it because sometimes I would wake
  369. 11:37up feeling like I slept good. I would
  370. 11:39check my Whoop app and it would tell me
  371. 11:41that I had a poor quality sleep. And
  372. 11:43now, that would get in my head and I'll
  373. 11:45feel tired all day despite me feeling
  374. 11:47like I slept good. However, wearing a
  375. 11:49fitness tracker for your workouts is
  376. 11:51very beneficial. It'll show you
  377. 11:53specifically how many steps you're
  378. 11:54taking every day, what your heart rate
  379. 11:56is at, how many calories you're burning,
  380. 11:58how long your workouts last. It'll show
  381. 12:00you your different strain levels. And
  382. 12:02for that, strictly for my workouts, is
  383. 12:04when I like to use a fitness tracker.
  384. 12:06Now again, for sleeping, some people
  385. 12:08swear by it. Personally, I don't like
  386. 12:10wearing a fitness tracker to sleep. I
  387. 12:12just prefer waking up and basing it on
  388. 12:14my own judgment. You also don't need to
  389. 12:15get the brand new fitness wearable. You
  390. 12:17can get a used ones on Facebook
  391. 12:19Marketplace. Get the older Whoop model
  392. 12:22or get the older Apple Watch model. If
  393. 12:24you just go one or two generations back,
  394. 12:26it'll work just as well. Remember, the
  395. 12:28tracker won't make you healthy, but make
  396. 12:30it harder to lie to yourself. Number 14,
  397. 12:32quality training shoes. There's a saying
  398. 12:35that you should spend money on the
  399. 12:36things that separate you from the
  400. 12:38ground. Your shoes, your mattress, your
  401. 12:40chairs, your tires. And I actually think
  402. 12:43there is some truth to that. I mean,
  403. 12:44shoes are the foundation to every
  404. 12:47movement you do. Especially if you're
  405. 12:48actively training, if you're running, if
  406. 12:50you're jumping, if you're in the gym.
  407. 12:52You want to support your joints, promote
  408. 12:54natural movement. And a good quality
  409. 12:55training shoe allows you to do just
  410. 12:57that. So, if you're running often, get
  411. 12:59running shoes. If you're lifting heavy,
  412. 13:01you might want something flatter and
  413. 13:02more stable. If you're walking all day,
  414. 13:04prioritize comfort. One mistake most
  415. 13:06people do is choosing every shoe purely
  416. 13:09off of appearance. I've seen people run
  417. 13:11in Air Forces. Like, nah, man. Take that
  418. 13:13$100 and invest it into some good
  419. 13:15running shoes instead. And the thing is,
  420. 13:17I tend to have dedicated workout shoes.
  421. 13:19So, the shoes that I use for working
  422. 13:20out, I don't wear them out on the street
  423. 13:22or for my everyday life. I only wear
  424. 13:24them when I'm in the gym, when I'm
  425. 13:26training. And because of that, they tend
  426. 13:27to last a lot longer. So, my gym shoes
  427. 13:29will have a lifespan of about a year and
  428. 13:31a half, 2 years maybe, which is why I
  429. 13:33invest in a good quality pair of
  430. 13:35training shoes. Because at the end, it's
  431. 13:37for my health, and anything that
  432. 13:38correlates with my health is worth
  433. 13:40investing into. Number 15, a quality
  434. 13:42mattress. Just like that saying said,
  435. 13:44anything that separates you from the
  436. 13:45ground is worth investing money into. I
  437. 13:48might fall asleep, bro. I think a
  438. 13:50mattress is probably the easiest one to
  439. 13:52justify. How many hours you spend laying
  440. 13:54down on your bed every night? 7, 8, 9
  441. 13:57hours every night. Bro, that's like a
  442. 13:58third of your entire life. Not only
  443. 14:00that, but your sleep is for your
  444. 14:02recovery, your energy levels, your
  445. 14:04focus, your mood the next day. It
  446. 14:07literally dictates how you feel on a
  447. 14:09day-to-day basis. So, why would you
  448. 14:10cheap out on a mattress that leads to
  449. 14:13poor sleep quality? Might as well invest
  450. 14:15one time into a proper mattress that
  451. 14:17fits your needs and supports proper
  452. 14:19sleep. Because then you'll wake up every
  453. 14:21day feeling amazing, you won't feel
  454. 14:23stiff, you'll sleep like [music] a baby,
  455. 14:24and it will directly make your life
  456. 14:26better. Now, it depends from person to
  457. 14:28person. Some people like more
  458. 14:29Tempur-Pedic mattresses that are softer.
  459. 14:31Me, on the other hand, I like more firm
  460. 14:34mattresses that offer more support. This
  461. 14:35one is actually the Plank mattress, so
  462. 14:37it has two sides. One side is strictly
  463. 14:40firm, and if you flip it, the other side
  464. 14:42is firm but with a little more
  465. 14:43suppression. So, with mattresses, it
  466. 14:45doesn't always mean expensive is better,
  467. 14:47because everybody has their preferences
  468. 14:49with their mattress. So, find your
  469. 14:51preference, then shop online, go to a
  470. 14:53store, invest in a good quality
  471. 14:55mattress. Number 16, a proper pillow. A
  472. 14:57year ago, I was waking up every single
  473. 14:59morning with sore traps, sore neck. I
  474. 15:02was just stiff. So, I went to IKEA and I
  475. 15:04spent $100 on this pillow, which is 100%
  476. 15:08down. It offers so much better support
  477. 15:10for my head when I sleep. And now, when
  478. 15:12I wake up every morning, I'm pain-free.
  479. 15:14I don't have any more stiffness, simply
  480. 15:16because I invested $100 into a good
  481. 15:18quality pillow that actually supports my
  482. 15:20head. Now, when it comes to pillows, it
  483. 15:22all depends on your sleeping position.
  484. 15:23If you sleep on your back, you want a
  485. 15:25firmer pillow that supports your head.
  486. 15:27If you sleep on your side, you want a
  487. 15:28medium firm pillow that aligns your head
  488. 15:31with your body. You don't want your head
  489. 15:32being too low, and you don't want your
  490. 15:34head being too high, either. And if you
  491. 15:35sleep on your stomach, which you
  492. 15:37shouldn't in the first place because
  493. 15:38it's not the healthiest sleeping
  494. 15:39position. But, if you do, you want the
  495. 15:41flattest possible pillow, or else your
  496. 15:43head will be hyperextended like this,
  497. 15:45and you'll wake up with some good
  498. 15:46stiffness. Number 17, an ergonomic desk
  499. 15:49chair. If you're like me and you sit at
  500. 15:50a desk for hours on end, don't just
  501. 15:53choose a chair purely out of aesthetics.
  502. 15:55Choose it based on support for your
  503. 15:57posture. [music] Now, I'm a content
  504. 15:58creator. I'm constantly sitting at my
  505. 16:00desk, answering emails, doing calls,
  506. 16:02editing videos, creating thumbnails. I
  507. 16:04invested in this chair that molds to my
  508. 16:06body, supports my body, and allows for
  509. 16:09proper posture as I work. I can twist
  510. 16:11this here to adjust the support on my
  511. 16:13back. These handles can come up or down,
  512. 16:16forward or backwards. This pillow is
  513. 16:18magnetic, so I can place it wherever I
  514. 16:19want based on my head support. And I can
  515. 16:21bring this chair up, down. I can recline
  516. 16:24it, bring it back up. Now, this chair is
  517. 16:26on the more expensive side. It was about
  518. 16:28$1,200. But, you don't need to spend
  519. 16:30that much money to get a proper chair.
  520. 16:31Just search up a lumbar support or
  521. 16:34ergonomic desk chair, and you'll see
  522. 16:36many great options. Look through the
  523. 16:38reviews, see what other people have to
  524. 16:39say. But again, the way I like to look
  525. 16:41at these things is cost per use. If I'm
  526. 16:44using it, like my mattress, for hours
  527. 16:46every single day, well then it's
  528. 16:47something in my life that I'm going to
  529. 16:49spend a lot more money on rather than a
  530. 16:51designer hoodie. Getting into tech
  531. 16:53items, number 18 are noise-canceling
  532. 16:55headphones. If you travel, you study,
  533. 16:57you work in coffee shops, you edit, you
  534. 16:59commute, or you just live around loud
  535. 17:02people, sometimes you don't even need
  536. 17:03music playing, just something that can
  537. 17:05allow you to block out the noise around
  538. 17:07you to focus on whatever it is you want
  539. 17:09to focus on. And a good pair of
  540. 17:11noise-canceling headphones allow you to
  541. 17:12do just that. Let's say you spend $300
  542. 17:15on noise-canceling headphones. It sounds
  543. 17:17expensive, but if you use them every
  544. 17:18single day for 3 years, now the price
  545. 17:21starts making a little bit more sense.
  546. 17:22AirPods Pro, Sony, Bose, there are
  547. 17:25plenty of good options. Go to Best Buy,
  548. 17:27go on Amazon. Mine are the Sony
  549. 17:28WH-1000XM5,
  550. 17:31which is not even the newest generation.
  551. 17:33I've had them since they came out, which
  552. 17:34I believe was three, maybe four years.
  553. 17:36And they work amazing. I use them every
  554. 17:37single day. Number 19, a reliable
  555. 17:39laptop. Before 25 years old, your laptop
  556. 17:42might be one of the most valuable tools
  557. 17:44you own. You can study on it, work on
  558. 17:46it, learn new skills, apply for jobs,
  559. 17:48build a business, edit videos, manage
  560. 17:50your finances. Basically, half of modern
  561. 17:52life lives through this. But the
  562. 17:54important part is buying based on what
  563. 17:56you actually do. If you're simply
  564. 17:57answering emails, well, you don't need a
  565. 17:59laptop that's able to run the best games
  566. 18:01or the best editing platform. But if
  567. 18:03you're editing videos for 8 hours every
  568. 18:05day and your computer freezes every 5
  569. 18:06minutes, upgrading your laptop can save
  570. 18:08you more time and potentially help you
  571. 18:10make more money. Again, another piece of
  572. 18:12equipment that is super valuable in your
  573. 18:13life that you should definitely not
  574. 18:15cheap out on and get based on your
  575. 18:17needs. Number 20, a quality backpack. A
  576. 18:19backpack sounds simple until you've
  577. 18:21traveled with a terrible one. Whether
  578. 18:23you're a student, whether you travel
  579. 18:25often, you want to get a backpack that
  580. 18:26is durable and has enough pockets to fit
  581. 18:29everything you need. This one right here
  582. 18:31has the main pocket at the top with a
  583. 18:33lot of space. Has a laptop pocket. I can
  584. 18:35put my laptop, headphones, whatever.
  585. 18:37There's mini pockets for things you want
  586. 18:39to access quickly. It has proper support
  587. 18:41on the back. And my favorite part, at
  588. 18:43the bottom, it has a separate pocket
  589. 18:45specifically for shoes. So this is
  590. 18:46separate from the main pocket. You can
  591. 18:48put your shoes in here, and they won't
  592. 18:50get anything else dirty. This one is
  593. 18:51from Under Armour. The point is, I
  594. 18:53travel with this backpack, I take it
  595. 18:54when I need to go film somewhere. And
  596. 18:56because I didn't cheap out and I got a
  597. 18:58quality backpack, it's going to last me
  598. 18:59a very long time. Number 21, a
  599. 19:01high-capacity portable charger. Listen,
  600. 19:03your phone can be very useless a lot of
  601. 19:05the time, but it can also be very
  602. 19:07important, and most of the time you need
  603. 19:09it. Your boarding pass is on it, your
  604. 19:11Uber is on it, maps are on it, your
  605. 19:13credit cards might be on it, your hotel
  606. 19:15reservation is on it. You need to make a
  607. 19:16phone call. So, seeing your phone at 2%
  608. 19:19when you're traveling genuinely becomes
  609. 19:21a problem. That's why you should get
  610. 19:22yourself a good power bank, a portable
  611. 19:24charger. This one is from Ugreen and
  612. 19:27it's 10,000 milliampere hour, which is
  613. 19:29really powerful. 5,000 milliamp is also
  614. 19:31good. Just get yourself a portable
  615. 19:32charger that you can bring with you to
  616. 19:34school, to work, when you're traveling.
  617. 19:35Trust me, it comes in clutch. And if
  618. 19:37your phone is MagSafe compatible, you
  619. 19:39just stick it on the back and boom, it's
  620. 19:40going to start charging. Number 22, a
  621. 19:42proper charging setup. Mine is pretty
  622. 19:44messed up cuz I was actually using it to
  623. 19:45charge my phone and my camera during
  624. 19:47this video. But it's simple. Having a
  625. 19:48hub essentially in your room to charge
  626. 19:50everything, all your devices that you
  627. 19:52need. I have portable chargers, I have
  628. 19:53my microphones, my camera's usually
  629. 19:55here. I have a 65-W charger, which
  630. 19:58allows me to charge anything extremely
  631. 20:00quickly, especially my phone, and it's
  632. 20:01right beside my desk. And it also helps
  633. 20:03me organize all my things, all my
  634. 20:04electronics that I need on a day-to-day
  635. 20:06basis. It essentially removes any
  636. 20:08unnecessary friction, allows you to be
  637. 20:10more organized, and allows all your
  638. 20:11daily devices to be properly charged so
  639. 20:14that when you need them, they're ready
  640. 20:15to go. Getting into independence, number
  641. 20:1723, a quality chef's knife. By 25, you
  642. 20:20should know how to cook at least a few
  643. 20:21meals. And you don't need one of these
  644. 20:23giant blocks with 15 different knives.
  645. 20:25You just need to invest in one proper,
  646. 20:28really good quality chef's knife. With
  647. 20:30this, you can cut everything from meat
  648. 20:33to vegetables to bread, and it makes
  649. 20:34everything come out just so much better.
  650. 20:36Have you ever tried cutting a tomato
  651. 20:38with a very dull knife? You're not
  652. 20:39slicing through it. You're going to turn
  653. 20:41that tomato into ketchup. But here's the
  654. 20:42important part. Don't just buy a good
  655. 20:44knife. Learn how to sharpen it, how to
  656. 20:46take care of it. Use a proper cutting
  657. 20:47board when cutting up whatever it is
  658. 20:49you're cutting. A quality knife that's
  659. 20:50properly maintained can probably stay
  660. 20:52with you for decades. Number 24, a cast
  661. 20:55iron pan. It's the same thing with
  662. 20:57knives. You don't need 25 different
  663. 20:58knives, you don't need 25 different
  664. 21:00pans. If you just get one to two proper,
  665. 21:02good pans, cast iron pans, you can cook
  666. 21:05everything on it, a proper steak, some
  667. 21:08eggs. And if you properly take care of a
  668. 21:09cast iron pan, it can last you such a
  669. 21:11long time. This is on the more expensive
  670. 21:13side, but if you enjoy cooking, it's
  671. 21:15something that's definitely worth it.
  672. 21:16The bigger thing though is actually
  673. 21:17learning how to use them. You can have
  674. 21:19the greatest pan in the world and still
  675. 21:21burn your chicken. Learn temperature
  676. 21:23control, learn when to add oil, learn
  677. 21:25how to properly clean it and season it.
  678. 21:27Buying the good pan won't teach you how
  679. 21:28to cook, but learning to use it might.
  680. 21:31Number 25, a basic tool kit. Basic
  681. 21:33things in your house will break. And you
  682. 21:35should be able to fix them and have the
  683. 21:37proper tools to fix them. You buy
  684. 21:39furniture that needs assembling, a screw
  685. 21:41becomes loose, something needs to be
  686. 21:43measured. And as much as we love our
  687. 21:44dads, you can't always call your dad to
  688. 21:46help you out with that stuff. You got to
  689. 21:48learn how to do it. So start with a
  690. 21:49simple kit, a hammer, a screwdriver,
  691. 21:51pliers, adjustable wrench, tape measure,
  692. 21:54level, a drill. You don't need to go to
  693. 21:55Home Depot and buy every tool. Just buy
  694. 21:58these tools as you need them and learn
  695. 21:59how to use them. It's just a very
  696. 22:01valuable skill. My brother just moved
  697. 22:03into a new condo. this big cabinet in
  698. 22:05this room that we had to disassemble. So
  699. 22:07we grabbed our tools, we grabbed our
  700. 22:08drill, and we started taking out the
  701. 22:10screws, hammering out the walls,
  702. 22:12figuring it out, and making it work. So
  703. 22:14it's a valuable skill that will apply in
  704. 22:16your own life when you get older to help
  705. 22:18other people out. So a basic tool kit is
  706. 22:20definitely a quality item you should
  707. 22:22own. Love you guys.
