  6. 0:34Oh
  7. 0:36He ascended
  8. 0:39The throne.
  9. 0:45In the name of. God, the Most Gracious,
  10. 0:47the Most Merciful, and peace and
  11. 0:50blessings be upon our master Muhammad,
  12. 0:53the honest Arab Hashemite Prophet.
  13. 0:58Distinguished Senators, Distinguished
  14. 1:01Deputies, peace, mercy, and blessings of
  15. 1:05God be upon you.
  16. 1:10In the name of God, and with His
  17. 1:12blessing, we open the third ordinary
  18. 1:15session of the 18th Parliament.
  19. 1:23A few days ago,
  20. 1:27The treacherous hand of terrorism
  21. 1:31reached out to test the resilience of
  22. 1:35our state and the resolve of our people
  23. 1:39.
  24. 1:47But we
  25. 1:50Will remain vigilant against it.
  26. 1:54And we will not allow,
  27. 2:00We will not allow the renegade
  28. 2:02terrorists to touch the security of this
  29. 2:06. Homeland and its unity.
  30. 2:13For they
  31. 2:15Are not of us.
  32. 2:18They have departed from our great
  33. 2:22Jordanian family.
  34. 2:25And betrayed this family.
  35. 2:30There is no place for them among us.
  36. 2:33Not today.
  37. 2:36Nor tomorrow.
  38. 2:44The blood of the Karak martyrs is a debt
  39. 2:48upon our necks.
  40. 2:52I invite you to stand for a minute of
  41. 2:54silence for their souls.
  42. 3:32Distinguished Senators,
  43. 3:36Distinguished Deputies,
  44. 3:40Jordan was and will remain,
  45. 3:43Defiant against every brutal aggressor.
  46. 3:48And formidable in the face of anyone who
  47. 3:50ignores the history of this nation.
  48. 3:55This blessed land is protected by.
  49. 4:00Gallant soldiers whose eyes do not sleep
  50. 4:04so that their people may sleep in peace
  51. 4:08.
  52. 4:14The men of our Arab Army and our
  53. 4:16security services,
  54. 4:24Who placed their lives
  55. 4:28In their hands, swearing that Jordan’s
  56. 4:32fence would remain impenetrable and its
  57. 4:36flag raised, exalted, and proud.
  58. 4:46For the strength of Jordan lies in a
  59. 4:49people who, when hardships intensify,
  60. 4:54Increase in awareness,
  61. 4:58Insight, and wisdom.
  62. 5:03And my bet
  63. 5:06Remains on the Jordanian.
  64. 5:10On their awareness when paths become
  65. 5:14blurred.
  66. 5:16And on their wisdom when emotions run
  67. 5:20high.
  68. 5:26And on their loyalty and faithfulness
  69. 5:29when the crisis Intensifies.
  70. 5:36Distinguished Senators, Distinguished
  71. 5:40Deputies, esteemed guests.
  72. 5:46We remain steadfast in our position,
  73. 5:49clinging to our Arab identity and to the
  74. 5:53defense of our nation's causes, as my
  75. 5:56father was before,
  76. 5:59and as my son will be after.
  77. 6:21So that the unified Arab voice remains,
  78. 6:24even if it seems distant, our aim and
  79. 6:28goal.
  80. 6:33And we emphasize again and again that
  81. 6:36there is no path to security and
  82. 6:39stability in our region without meeting
  83. 6:42the right of the Palestinian people to
  84. 6:45their land.
  85. 6:53And despite
  86. 6:57International demands to stop Israeli
  87. 7:02violations, the humanitarian catastrophe
  88. 7:06in Gaza continues, as do the persistent
  89. 7:11assaults in the West Bank and Jerusalem
  90. 7:15.
  91. 7:24And the Israeli expansionist ambitions
  92. 7:27remain.
  93. 7:30The greatest threat to the region's
  94. 7:34future and its hopes.
  95. 7:40But the peoples will not forget.
  96. 7:45For whoever thinks that tyranny grants
  97. 7:47legitimacy is delusional.
  98. 8:05And whoever thinks that time erases the
  99. 8:08truth is delusional.
  100. 8:13And whoever thinks that a Jordanian will
  101. 8:17backtrack on their principles is also
  102. 8:20delusional.
  103. 8:27Distinguished Senators, Distinguished
  104. 8:30Deputies.
  105. 8:35Your honorable council is a fundamental
  106. 8:38pillar in political life, for the nation
  107. 8:41is the source of powers.
  108. 8:52And the source of its strength, and by
  109. 8:55adhering to this principle, our internal
  110. 8:58front remains impenetrable and secure.
  111. 9:05For a strong Jordan is the most capable
  112. 9:09of defending its interests and the
  113. 9:12causes of its nation, to be up to its
  114. 9:16responsibilities and a support.
  115. 9:21To its brothers.
  116. 9:29It is incumbent upon your council to be
  117. 9:32a voice for the nation, a guardian of
  118. 9:35the public interest, and a watchdog of
  119. 9:39government performance.
  120. 9:46Putting the interest of Jordanians first
  121. 9:50.
  122. 9:56Your difference of opinion is a strength
  123. 9:58,
  124. 10:00As long as
  125. 10:19As long as the interest of Jordan is the
  126. 10:23goal.
  127. 10:27For Jordanians do not look only at the
  128. 10:31laws issued by this dome,
  129. 10:36But also at the behavior and discourse
  130. 10:40that emanate from it.
  131. 10:49Esteemed guests.
  132. 10:53From this podium, I address you to
  133. 10:56confirm, as I have always confirmed,
  134. 11:02That the interest of the Jordanian must
  135. 11:05be at the core of every decision, not on
  136. 11:08its margins.
  137. 11:17For true development is what the citizen
  138. 11:20feels the effects of in their livelihood
  139. 11:23, job, education, and healthcare.
  140. 11:30And the future of their children.
  141. 11:39And today we walk on the path of
  142. 11:41economic modernization.
  143. 11:45Work has begun on a number of major
  144. 11:48ambitious projects.
  145. 11:51Which seek to support the national
  146. 11:54economy and enhance its resilience.
  147. 11:59And to build on Jordan’s pivotal role in
  148. 12:02the region.
  149. 12:09I call upon the government to work on
  150. 12:11accelerating. Their completion.
  151. 12:16Water.
  152. 12:19Water, our water security is a national
  153. 12:23priority, and we will not allow the
  154. 12:26thirst of Jordanians to be held hostage
  155. 12:29by any circumstance.
  156. 12:35The head of death, the bitter.
  157. 12:42The head of the crisis.
  158. 12:52There is no room for compromise or
  159. 12:55appeasement regarding it.
  160. 13:00Here, I direct the government to
  161. 13:03continue water security projects and
  162. 13:06work on developing proactive plans to
  163. 13:10protect the nation's resources, ensuring
  164. 13:14their sustainability and the rights of
  165. 13:17future generations.
  166. 13:25Honorable Senators, Honorable Deputies,
  167. 13:29distinguished guests.
  168. 13:34There is no place in our country and
  169. 13:37among us for anyone who thinks that
  170. 13:40public office is an honor that exempts
  171. 13:44them from work.
  172. 13:51Exempts them from work or serving the
  173. 13:54people, and there is no immunity.
  174. 13:59For anyone who abuses their position,
  175. 14:01whoever they may be.
  176. 14:08For the prestige of the state and the
  177. 14:12rule of law take precedence over
  178. 14:14everything.
  179. 14:21The law knows no name, no position, and
  180. 14:25no influence.
  181. 14:32Fellow Jordanians, my people and my
  182. 14:34support.
  183. 14:57Discussing public affairs is a
  184. 15:00legitimate right for you.
  185. 15:03Guaranteed by the Constitution. And
  186. 15:04protected.
  187. 15:07For the heart of this nation.
  188. 15:10And our hearts are open to every sincere
  189. 15:14and responsible opinion.
  190. 15:23Whoever loves Jordan preserves the
  191. 15:26beauty of giving, the dignity of the
  192. 15:29word, and the etiquette of disagreement
  193. 15:32.
  194. 15:40You are the object of my trust and my
  195. 15:42family.
  196. 16:02You are the object of my trust, my
  197. 16:05family, and my kin, a responsibility
  198. 16:08upon my neck.
  199. 16:17And I rely on your righteousness toward
  200. 16:20this land.
  201. 16:44At your service, our master, at your
  202. 16:45service.
  203. 16:46>> So that Jordan remains dear.
  204. 16:51Great in status and worth, and may the
  205. 16:54peace, mercy, and blessings of God be
  206. 16:56upon you.
