4. 0:08something that is super special to me I
5. 0:11come from a military family my father
6. 0:14was in the armed forces for 37 years
7. 0:16he's been deployed twice luckily I
8. 0:18didn't have to move around all over the
9. 0:20place so I'm not fully considered a
10. 0:22military brat but I consider myself an
11. 0:24army brat but as we also know I really
12. 0:26do like Disney and my family tries to go
13. 0:29to Disney World as often as we possibly
14. 0:31can and the reason why we could pull
15. 0:32that off is because of the lovely
16. 0:34discounts that Disney offers to armed
17. 0:36service members and their families so I
18. 0:38know this video isn't going to apply to
19. 0:40everyone who clicks on it but if you
20. 0:42know someone who is in the arm services
21. 0:44or someone who is family of arm services
22. 0:46please share that with them I'm sure
23. 0:48they would really appreciate it so
24. 0:49without further Ado let's go ahead and
25. 0:51get on into it so the first thing I want
26. 0:53to talk about is tickets there are two
27. 0:56different ways that you could save on
28. 0:57tickets essentially the first one is the
29. 1:00Stars and Stripes package so that is the
30. 1:02basic military ticket package that you
31. 1:04can use it's not much of a discount it
32. 1:07saves you about 4 to 8% depending on
33. 1:10what package you pick up it's just kind
34. 1:11of something to get you through the door
35. 1:13however if you can go ahead and get the
36. 1:15Armed Forces salute the Armed Forces
37. 1:18salute is a much steeper discount I will
38. 1:21go ahead and Link the exact prices in
39. 1:23the description box down below because
40. 1:25they're not offered on the Disney
41. 1:26website you kind of have to do a little
42. 1:28bit of searching but it saves you about
43. 1:31half off a military member can only buy
44. 1:33about six the only downside is that you
45. 1:35can only get a 4-day park hopper and
46. 1:375-day Park Hoppers and park hopper
47. 1:39pluses that is a tongue twister Park ho
48. 1:41park park and if you don't know what a
49. 1:44park hopper option is it allows you
50. 1:47entrances to different parks and then
51. 1:49you can actually go to different parks
52. 1:51within the day so if you wanted to do
53. 1:52two parks in one day or four parks in
54. 1:54one day you could go ahead and do that
55. 1:56the 4day and 5day means that you have
56. 1:57that park hopper option for 4 days or
57. 1:59for 5 days and for the pluses it allows
58. 2:02I believe one other Park besides the
59. 2:04four Parks so one of the water parks I
60. 2:06think I think that's how that works so a
61. 2:07quick tip with the Armed Force salute
62. 2:09package there is an approval wait time
63. 2:12please buy your tickets way ahead in
64. 2:14advance if you can it takes about 5 to
65. 2:16seven business days for them to confirm
66. 2:19that you are a military member or that
67. 2:21you're a military spouse and for them to
68. 2:23send over the ticket numbers and then
69. 2:25once you get those ticket numbers you
70. 2:26can go ahead and link them up to your My
71. 2:27Disney Experience app or online line and
72. 2:30that way you would be able to make your
73. 2:32reservations or book your fastpasses in
74. 2:35the Parks if you pick your tickets up at
75. 2:37Shades green which they usually tell you
76. 2:39that you have to they will activate it
77. 2:41for you on the spot as long as you have
78. 2:44a military member or a military spouse
79. 2:46or a veteran so you don't have to worry
80. 2:48about that one last thing that I want to
81. 2:50mention with the Armed Forces salute
82. 2:52package there are times when the package
83. 2:53is actually blocked there will be
84. 2:55certain weekends or certain weekdays
85. 2:56that you won't be able to get in so
86. 2:58double check those because I don't want
87. 3:00you guys to get these tickets and then
88. 3:01find out that you can't even use them
89. 3:03during the time of your vacation there
90. 3:05are special military nights for the
91. 3:07different holiday parties so there is
92. 3:09the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween
93. 3:11party which is my favorite and the
94. 3:14Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party and
95. 3:16those special ticket nights offer
96. 3:17discounts it's not always a major
97. 3:20discount but it's about $20 off
98. 3:22depending on when you go and honestly
99. 3:24yeah that could be a major discount
100. 3:25because sometimes those parties are $70
101. 3:27and sometimes those parties are $90 just
102. 3:30depends on the time of year and if you
103. 3:31get $20 off a $70 ticket that's only
104. 3:34like $50 to get into the park to get
105. 3:36into the party that's incredible all
106. 3:38right so now we're going to talk about
107. 3:39room discounts one that is very near and
108. 3:42dear to my family we try to go there as
109. 3:43often as possible when we do our Disney
110. 3:45vacations is the Armed Forces Resort it
111. 3:48is the shades of green Resort it used to
112. 3:50be called The Magnolia and palm it's
113. 3:52actually where the Magnolia and palm
114. 3:54golf courses are it is not on the Disney
115. 3:56website I don't know why they really
116. 3:58should advertise it more but the resort
117. 4:00is only offered to people who are a part
118. 4:03of the Armed Forces what's really nice
119. 4:05about the resort is that it's considered
120. 4:06a Deluxe level Resort by Disney
121. 4:08standards there are three restaurants I
122. 4:11believe one is Buffet one is table
123. 4:13service it's Italian and then one is
124. 4:15kind of like a quick service place there
125. 4:16are two pools they're both heated one
126. 4:19has a slide they also have spa services
127. 4:22and a px which we'll get into later but
128. 4:24it's just a really nice place to stay
129. 4:26it's really comforting the rooms are
130. 4:27spacious there's a pullout bed in each
131. 4:29one two queen-sized beds the bathrooms
132. 4:31are very large they also have a quick
133. 4:34service bakery before you head to the
134. 4:36buses and a Starbucks coffee shop they
135. 4:39also have their own bus line that'll
136. 4:41transport you all around the parks it's
137. 4:43kind of incredible and you're
138. 4:44technically staying on Disney property
139. 4:46so you get everything that a Disney
140. 4:47property person would get so what's also
141. 4:49really nice about shades of green is
142. 4:50that you pay by pay scale category e1s
143. 4:53and e6s currently pay $115 for a
144. 4:56standard room e7s and e9s pay $14 $5 and
145. 5:00then a cw4 and a cw5 pays about $155
146. 5:05definitely recommend staying there if
147. 5:06you can the rooms book up pretty fast
148. 5:08depending on what time of year you go so
149. 5:10if you can't stay on shades of green or
150. 5:11if it's still a little bit too much out
151. 5:13of your budget go ahead and check out
152. 5:15the normal Disney property hotels they
153. 5:17actually offer room discounts as well
154. 5:19and the room discounts are pretty steep
155. 5:21the value Resorts offer 30% off the
156. 5:23moderate Resorts offer 35% off and the
157. 5:26deluxe Resorts offer 40% off of course
158. 5:28with the deluxe resorts when you pay
159. 5:30$600 a night the 40% off isn't going to
160. 5:32be that much you might as well just stay
161. 5:33at shades of green but for the value
162. 5:35Resorts the 30% off that's a huge cut
163. 5:39I'm going to let you do the math but
164. 5:41that's what we did the last time we
165. 5:42stayed there we stayed at the All-Star
166. 5:44Movies Resort and we used the discount
167. 5:46they gave us our free Magic Band and we
168. 5:49were good to go ooh and that's one thing
169. 5:51I want to mention when you purchase the
170. 5:52Armed Forces salute if you stay on Chade
171. 5:54of green property they will not give you
172. 5:56a Magic Band you really don't need one
173. 5:57they'll give you a normal type ticket
174. 5:59but but if you are staying at one of the
175. 6:01resorts they will give you Magic Band
176. 6:03when you get there if you have already
177. 6:04linked up your ticket numbers on your My
178. 6:06Disney Experience app to book your
179. 6:08dining reservations and your fastpasses
180. 6:11once you get down to Disney it'll
181. 6:13automatically link up you will not need
182. 6:15to go through a super long line to make
183. 6:20sure that everything is linked like they
184. 6:22told us to do don't make the same
185. 6:24mistake that we did if you have your My
186. 6:26Disney Experience app everything will be
187. 6:28a okay all right so now we're going to
188. 6:29talk about food so with the food inside
189. 6:32the parks there really isn't any sort of
190. 6:35military discount but at Disney Springs
191. 6:37there are plenty of opportunities for
192. 6:39you guys to save a little bit of money
193. 6:40one of our places to eat is Ragin Road
194. 6:43they offer 20% off of your entire meal
195. 6:45not just off the meal of the military
196. 6:46members but the entire meal and if
197. 6:49you're eating with a lot of people that
198. 6:50saves a huge chunk of change and then
199. 6:53Cooks a doublin which is part of Ragin
200. 6:54Road it's behind it they are also 20%
201. 6:57off giradelli ice cream is 20% off as
202. 6:59well the Rainforest Cafe and the T-Rex
203. 7:02Cafe offer 10% off and finally House of
204. 7:05Blues offers 25% off your entire meal
205. 7:08and I feel like I have to mention this
206. 7:09as well if you're staying at shades of
207. 7:10green they do offer food packages they
208. 7:13offer the sunrise package and the red
209. 7:15white and blue food package so the
210. 7:17sunrise package is for breakfast and the
211. 7:19red white and blue package is for
212. 7:20breakfast and dinner they're both buffet
213. 7:23style but it bundles it into your room
214. 7:25so if you do the sunrise package you get
215. 7:27two free bundled in breakfasts and if
216. 7:29you do the red white and blue package
217. 7:31you get two free breakfast and dinner
218. 7:33buffet style you do not get any more
219. 7:35than two so if you have four people
220. 7:36staying in your room you're still only
221. 7:38going to get two bundled in all right so
222. 7:39the next category is Souvenirs
223. 7:41specifically about the memory Photo
224. 7:43Maker or the Memory Maker the photo
225. 7:46Memory Maker when you're down at the
226. 7:48park on the first day if you head to a
227. 7:49ticket booth and show them your military
228. 7:51ID you can actually get the Memory Maker
229. 7:53for about half off it's normally $199 to
230. 7:56get every single photo to get unlimited
231. 7:58prints and if you head to the ticket
232. 8:00booth you actually get it for $99 for
233. 8:02your entirety of the trip get all of
234. 8:04those ride photos and they have the cool
235. 8:06little magic photos where you hold out
236. 8:08your hand and Tinkerbell stands on it
237. 8:10which is like my favorite it's all
238. 8:12professional photographers so your
239. 8:14family photo in front of the castle is
240. 8:16going to look freaking bomb all right
241. 8:18and now we're going to talk about the
242. 8:19stores at Disney Springs I don't know
243. 8:21the exact discounts for these stores but
244. 8:23Basin House of Blues fear Bradley and
245. 8:26Planet Hollywood all offer discounts on
246. 8:28their merchand ice you just got to ask
247. 8:31and then the final tip for merchandise
248. 8:33in Disney World is at your PX at CH
249. 8:36green even if you're not staying at
250. 8:38shades of green you can go ahead and
251. 8:39show your military ID and it'll Grant
252. 8:41you and your group access so just like
253. 8:43any other PX it is dutyfree no taxes and
254. 8:47it's also heavily discounted merch I've
255. 8:49found autograph books for less than $5
256. 8:52I've found special Disney pens for less
257. 8:54than $3 I've found mugs awesome water
258. 8:57bottles for about $15 when they're
259. 8:59usually about 20 the last time we went I
260. 9:02almost bought this for my niece they
261. 9:03were selling princess dresses for $20
262. 9:06but that's insane so definitely go ahead
263. 9:09and hit up the shades of green PX you
264. 9:11will not be disappointed and for my
265. 9:13final tip I'm going to tell you about
266. 9:15the things that are not in the Disney
267. 9:17parks that you could do on a military
268. 9:18discount so the first three are in
269. 9:21Disney Springs it's the Aro file which
270. 9:23is like the big balloon with the
271. 9:24characters on it it's a hot air balloon
272. 9:26you go up you get to see things and then
273. 9:27you come down that offers a discount I'm
274. 9:29not entirely sure how much the discount
275. 9:31is but it offers a discount then AMC
276. 9:34Theaters there is a movie theater there
277. 9:35and there is a restaurant that's
278. 9:37attached to it they offer a military
279. 9:38discount as well all of the Disney golf
280. 9:41courses offer a military discount the
281. 9:43magnol and palm which is attached to
282. 9:45Shades green the Lake poov Vista Golf
283. 9:47Courses and the Oak Trail N9 hole
284. 9:49walking golf course not entirely sure if
285. 9:52the mini golf course offers a discount
286. 9:54as well all right but that is it for my
