  8. 0:13explained by carelessness or stupidity.
  9. 0:15The Pareto principle or 8020. Roughly
  10. 0:1880% of the results come from 20% of the
  11. 0:20effort. The Peter principle. People get
  12. 0:23promoted until they reach a job they're
  13. 0:25bad at and then stay there. Hicks law.
  14. 0:28More options means slower decisions. Cut
  15. 0:30the menu. Decide faster. Goodart's law.
  16. 0:34When a measure becomes a target, it
  17. 0:36stops being a good measure. The Dunning
  18. 0:37Krueger effect. The less you know, the
  19. 0:39more you overestimate how much you know.
  20. 0:41Aams razor. The simplest explanation is
  21. 0:44usually the right one. Chesterton's
  22. 0:46fence. Don't tear something down until
  23. 0:49you understand why it was built in the
  24. 0:50first place. Brooks's law. If you add
  25. 0:53more people to a project that's already
  26. 0:54late, it's going to be even more late
  27. 0:56because we underestimate coordination
  28. 0:58costs.
