- 7:09the afternoon they may watch the queen
- 7:12on television as she delivers her
- 7:14traditional Christmas message to the
- 7:17United Kingdom and The
- 7:19Commonwealth if they have room for even
- 7:22more food they may enjoy a piece of
- 7:25Christmas cake or eat a hot mince pie

- 9:12time my host family had to be back
- 9:15before 3: in the afternoon oh what a
- 9:19pity you should go sometime it's very

- 10:57after they get married no a lot of women
- 11:01stay at home and take care of their
- 11:03families but a few work I see here are

- 11:15of children under six have two parents
- 11:19who work or a single parent who works

- 29:36BBC their programs consist mainly of
- 29:39music and local
- 29:41news the BBC has two TV channels BBC 2
- 29:47has more serious programs and news
- 29:49features the IBA is responsible for
- 29:53looking after the regional independent
- 29:55TV companies who broadcast cast their
- 29:58own programs and those they have bought
- 30:01from other regions there is a break in
- 30:04programs for advertisements about every
- 30:0715 to 20 minutes the most recent
- 30:11independent channel is Channel 4 and it
- 30:15has more specialized programs than the
- 30:17main
- 30:18channels in general people think the
- 30:22programs offered on British television

- 32:18have a day at the start of the year when
- 32:20all the clubs and societies advertise
- 32:23their activities and you can go around
- 32:26and choose which you would like to
- 32:29join the most popular outdoor spectator
- 32:32sports are football and horse
- 32:35racing most large towns have their own
- 32:39football team and ground while race
- 32:42courses are found in the country and
- 32:45outside most major
- 32:47cities all forms of motor racing are
- 32:50also
- 32:51popular sport plays such a large part in
- 32:55British life that many idioms in the
- 32:57English language have come from the
- 32:59World of Sport for example to play the
- 33:03game means to be fair and that's not
- 33:07Cricket means that's not
- 33:10fair the most popular sport in Britain
- 33:13as a whole is football a lot of people
- 33:16support their local clubs at matches on
- 33:19Saturday afternoons or watch the matches
- 33:22live on
